THANK YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE IN PASSING THIS ON TO OTHERS

1) SUMMARY

The world has once again an opportunity to put an end to centuries of warfare and dedicate the considerable resources wasted in armaments and wars towards alleviating human suffering and countering environmental degradation worldwide. At a time when human ingenuity is continually expanding the scope of human knowledge and creating ever more sophisticated technologies, it is deeply anachronic that man would resort to crude violence to resolve conflicts over territory and resources. Clearly, some deeply vested interests in the military establishment and weapon manufacturing industries are responsible for perpetuating a state of war under the pretext of defending against an all too convenient terrorist threat which, according to many experts, has been created and nurtured by the very people who now claim their continuous military buildup and expanding infringement of constitutionally protected rights and freedom is necessary to counter alleged terrorist activities and plans.

It is incumbent upon the world's Light servers to stand up with an unrelenting commitment to assist all of humanity to abolish obsolete and dangerously unsustainable warfare activities and turn all human creativity and resources towards achieving true global peace, eliminate all injustice, and establish means through which a future of untold opportunities will unfold unimpeded by the threat of global war and the unimaginably violent behaviors that military conflicts can breed.

You are hereby invited to join in unified purpose and intent at the usual globally synchronized meditation time, this Sunday and the two following ones, to assist in manifesting Peace on Earth through radiating from the depths of your soul the Universal Will for Peace that is expanding on Earth with every awakening soul. Let us envision a world free from all forms of violence against other humans and against all of Nature, a planet on which only peaceful behavior and benevolence towards others are possible because of the heightened atmosphere of compassion, love and blissful unity that permeates all living souls embodied for experiencing true Heaven on Earth. Being aware that through the combined power of our unifying radiance we are co-creating the reality corresponding to our true divine nature, we will ceaselessly strive to accomplish what we came here to be, for the Highest Good of All.

Some of the current military conflicts on Earth

Heavy fighting in Sri Lanka (June 17, 2006)
http://edition.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/asiapcf/06/17/srilanka/?eref=yahoo
COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (CNN) -- New fighting on both land and sea was reported Saturday in Sri Lanka, raising new worries that the South Asian island nation may be heading toward civil war. Sri Lankan officials said Tamil rebels launched attacks on police and navy targets in the northwest part of the island. Eight Sri Lankan sailors died and 20 to 25 Tamil Tiger rebels may have been killed on Saturday in fighting sparked by a rebel attack off the coast of Sri Lanka, a Sri Lankan naval commander told CNN. (...) Saturday's fighting followed government strikes on insurgent positions on Friday. The aerial strikes by the government against Tamil Tiger positions followed a deadly landmine attack that killed 64 people on a crowded bus in the north-central part of the island. Sri Lanka's air force dropped bombs near the Tamil Tiger rebel headquarters in Kilinochchi on Friday, Reuters reported. (...) A cease-fire between the rebels and the government -- brokered by Norway in 2002 -- has broken down during the past several months after rebel attacks and government reprisals against Tamil strongholds. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), known as the Tamil Tigers, have been seeking their own Tamil homeland in the north and east of the island nation, which lies to the south of India. The rebels began fighting in the 1970s for a separate homeland in the north and the east, where most of the country's 3.2 million Hindu Tamils live, complaining of discrimination by the country's 14 million Sinhalese, who are largely Buddhist. The struggle intensified after anti-Tamil riots in 1983, and more than 65,000 people were killed before the cease-fire.Talks scheduled for mid-April in Geneva were canceled after rebel leaders blamed the government for breaking a promise to disband paramilitary groups. The rebels accuse paramilitaries of acting with Sri Lanka security forces to carry out attacks on rebel members and supporters.About 700 people have been killed so far this year, Reuters reported, and many analysts fear a slide back into the island's two-decade civil war.Last month the European Union listed the Tamil Tigers as a terrorist group alongside al Qaeda. More than 65,000 people on both sides have been killed since the Tigers began fighting in 1983 to create a separate state for Sri Lanka's 3.2 million Tamils, alleging discrimination by the country's 14 million Sinhalese.

Tiger Town on the Brink (June 16)
http://hotzone.yahoo.com/b/hotzone/blogs6041
Following a bus attack which killed 64 people, the Sri Lankan military is launching air strikes on rebel territory. The Tamil Tigers warn a strike on their headquarters in Kilinochchi will mean war. For the second day in a row, the Sri Lankan government launched air strikes against Tamil Tiger rebel-held positions in northern Sri Lanka. Wire service reports say that some of the bombing has been focused around Kilinochchi, headquarters of the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam), better known as the Tamil Tigers. The air strikes came in retaliation for a claymore mine attack against a civilian bus near the northern town of Anuradhapura on Wednesday that killed 64 people, many of them children, and injured 39. It was the single most deadly attack against civilians since the 2002 cease-fire. The Tamil Tigers have denied any responsibility for the bus bombing, suggesting it might have been done by paramilitary forces aligned with the government in order to scuttle the truce. The 2002 cease-fire brought an optimism to the region that there could be a negotiated long-term peace for Sri Lanka, but recent months have seen an increase in tensions and escalating violence between the mostly Hindu minority Tamil separatists and the mostly Buddhist majority Sinhalese population and government.

Sri Lanka and Tigers claim victory in naval clash (Jun 17, 2006)

COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lanka's government and Tamil Tiger rebels each claimed victory on Saturday after a naval clash that officials said left more than 40 people dead or missing. The Tigers threatened retaliation if air force bombing restarted.Sri Lankan jets pounded rebel targets on Thursday and Friday in retaliation for an attack on a civilian bus that killed 64 people in the worst violence since a 2002 cease-fire, raising fears of an imminent return to a two-decade civil war. The government said on Saturday the air strikes had ceased. But officials said more than 40 people were dead or missing in a clash in the northeastern Mannar district, while suspected Tiger frogmen were captured and attempted suicide near the capital." Still the government is committed to the peace process but... the government will take every possible step to safeguard national security," defence spokesman and minister Keheliya Rambukwella told a press conference. Nepal peace talks resume, rebel chief to meet PM (June 15, 2006)
http://tinyurl.com/mhofj
POKHARA, Nepal (Reuters) - Nepal's government and Maoists held fresh peace talks on Thursday, and both sides said rebel chief Prachanda would meet the country's prime minister and party leaders soon. (...) The government and rebels also agreed to set up a committee to monitor a code of conduct covering a cease-fire they have been observing for more than a month. They held a first round of peace talks three weeks ago, hoping to end a decade-long insurgency that has cost 13,000 lives and shattered the country's tourism and aid-dependent economy. The 52-year-old rebel chief, wearing a check shirt and spectacles and sporting a moustache, said he hoped the government would soon agree to dissolve parliament and set up an interim government which would include the Maoists. That government would then hold elections to a special assembly to draw up a new constitution. CLIP

Nepal to set up interim government with rebels (16 June 2006)

KATHMANDU, (Reuters) - Nepal's Maoist rebel leader held ground-breaking talks on Friday with the government, which agreed to dissolve parliament and set up an interim administration to include the rebels. Rebel chief Prachanda said after nearly 10 hours of talks with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and political party leaders that an interim constitution will be prepared within three weeks and later a new interim government will be formed. "I am proud ... because the decision we have taken is a historic one," he told reporters. Maoists also promised to dissolve their parallel governments around the countryside. CLIP

Fear starts to lift in rural Nepal after peace deal (18 Jun 2006)
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/DEL234924.htm
BETAHANI, Nepal, June 18 (Reuters) - Ram Kumar Jaisawal says the people of his tiny village on Nepal's baking southern plains would never have had the courage to speak out against Maoist rebels a few days ago.But after a landmark peace deal between the government and rebels on Friday, the people of Maoist-dominated rural Nepal might gradually be finding their voices again.Shortly after news of the deal filtered through, dozens of men and women gathered in a grove of mango trees in Betahani to protest against the Maoists and a commander who they say is intimidating them and extorting money. (...) The decade-long insurgency has killed around 13,000 people and brought more misery to one of the world's 10 poorest nations, tucked in the Himalayas between China and India. In Betahani, this weekend's protest took place just a few yards from the Maoists' office, a bare shop occupied since the ceasefire and furnished with only a table, a telephone and peeling poster saying "Love is Enough". Hamas offers to restore ceasefire (15 June 2006)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5082820.stm
Islamic Jihad said it was to blame for Thursday's rocket attack The Hamas-led Palestinian government is willing to urge militants to renew a ceasefire if Israel halts its attacks on Gaza, a spokesman has said. Ghazi Hamad said the government would urge militant groups to stop firing rockets from Gaza into Israel. The Islamic Jihad group says it was to blame for the latest attack on Israel. Tensions have increased since the deaths of eight Palestinians on a beach, for which Israel has denied military responsibility. Hamas ended an informal ceasefire last week amid escalating tensions following the beach killings on Friday. Israel has said it was not responsible for the deaths near Beit Lahiya, but Palestinians have dismissed Israel's denial and are calling on the United Nations to hold an independent investigation. We are interested in a ceasefire everywhere Ghazi HamadHamas. Since the deaths, Hamas has fired dozens of home-made rockets at Israel, causing panic and several injuries. But Mr Hamad told Israel Radio on Thursday he had spoken to Prime Minister Ismail Haniya, who had said the Palestinians wanted "quiet everywhere". "We are interested in a ceasefire everywhere," Reuters news agency quoted Mr Hamad as saying. "We are ready to launch discussions with factions over stopping rocket firing but only if there is an Israeli commitment to cease all military attacks against all Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank." WASHINGTON - International sponsors of a stalled Mideast peace plan agreed Saturday to channel aid to cash-starved Palestinians for health care, utilities and social services, while continuing a boycott of the militant-led Palestinian government. The United States went along with a compromise plan to send mostly European money through the World Bank for services and to pay stipends directly to poor people in the Palestinian territories. Establishment of the fund is an acknowledgment that an international aid freeze imposed after the surprise election victory of Hamas militants in January has had unintended and harsh consequences for ordinary Palestinians. The United States, United Nations, European Union and Russia issued a brief statement endorsing a plan drawn up last week by the EU. The four are the sponsors of a peace plan called the roadmap, which sets conditions for an independent Palestinian state in the territories bordering Israel. (...) The group had announced plans for the aid fund in early May, as a humanitarian crisis was building in the West Bank and Gaza. The Palestinian government relies on international aid for more than half its annual budget, including the salaries of more than 160,000 civil servants who have not been paid in months. Some have stormed government buildings in protest. As conditions in the territories worsened, a split emerged among donors over how to help. Israel and the United States led a hard line, while the European Union and Russia said the world must keep the Palestinian economy afloat to avoid a humanitarian crisis. CLIP

Olmert: Abbas is a courageous partner (June 14, 2006)
http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1150191579924&pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull
Following meetings with the leaders of the US, Egypt, Jordan, England and France, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said on Wednesday night that Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas was a courageous partner. "We will look for ever way to support Abu Mazen. He is a man who has expressed on many occasions his opposition to terrorism." (...) Responding to reports that he was reconsidering implementing the plan in coordination with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Olmert said he would implement it with or without him. He said the most important components of his plan were giving up most of the West Bank, holding on to settlement blocs, moving settlers behind a security border and forming a contiguous Palestinian state and not whether there was a partner. (...) "The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has gone on for way too long and the time has come for peace in the region with two peaceful nations side by side," Chirac said. "This goal is especially important at a time when we are seeing a new escalation of violence that reiterates the need for negotiations." CLIP

Germany urges nuclear powers to disarm (June 17)

BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany called on Saturday for the world's leading nuclear powers to reduce their atomic arsenals as they press Iran to curb its nuclear program. Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier urged the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council -- the United States, Russia, China, Britain and France -- to make concessions in the context of the Iran dispute, Spiegel magazine reported."I am in fact of the view that, beyond the current Iran conflict, we must review the worldwide nuclear armament status," Steinmeier told Spiegel. "We are in favor of effectively applying the Non-Proliferation Treaty. It contains the promise of the nuclear powers disarming, and we should press them to do that," he said. The Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is a 1970 global pact against the spread of atomic weapons which is policed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna. Germany, a non-nuclear power, and the five permanent U.N. Security Council members have offered Tehran a package under which Iran would get trade and technology benefits if it halts uranium enrichment work. "So far we have not had a clear sign, or a real reaction," Steinmeier said of the offer made to Iran. "What is positive, however, is that we are apparently for the first time seeing Iran in a state of reflection."Steinmeier added that he hoped Iran's leadership would "find the way through the open door." U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said on Friday the United States had heard some positive statements from Tehran over the offer. Iran says its nuclear program is for power generation. The United States says it is a front for building nuclear arms.

Iran warms to six-nation nuclear offer (June 17)
http://www.guardian.co.uk/iran/story/0,,1799796,00.html
Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, yesterday praised a six-country package of incentives aimed at resolving the international dispute over Tehran's nuclear programme. Raising hopes of a breakthrough, he said the proposal, which aims to curtail Iran's uranium enrichment activities, was a "step forward". But despite his conciliatory tone Mr Ahmadinejad said his government had made no decision about whether to accept the package, which is backed by the US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany. "Generally speaking, we're regarding this offer as a step forward and I have instructed my colleagues to carefully consider it," he told reporters in Shanghai. "In due time they will give the response." CLIP

Subject: RE: The Empire of Darkness Series #33: Blood and Gore
Date: 10 Jun 2006

You know I do appreciate the info, but at some point we become part of the problem by putting all this energy into disseminating this information. Consider possibly some kind of balance. We must be aware of the darkness, while bringing forth the light.

David Irish

AND MY REPLY WAS:

Hi David

Thanks for your comment. This difficulty of balancing the bad and good info has been a keen concern for the past 8 years. Not easy when most of what people send to my attention is mostly bad stuff. Last year I was able to manage to alternate between a positive-only type of compilation and one of "bad stuff" each week but this year, since I have far less time to prepare compilations, I manage to prepare only one per week on average, and so both types of info get mixed into the same one, and usually the bad stuff drowns the good one, hence the perceived imbalance.

On the other hand, I consider the Meditation Focuses to be solely about bringing forth the Light and thus it greatly helps balance things out. The fact also is that in summer I have time to prepare a Meditation Focus only every 3 weeks instead of every 2 weeks. Overall, it is a challenging task to do justice to the good news about inspiring events and developments that point towards a better, saner future, especially when considering the fact that our planet is still faced with so many violent conflicts and malevolent actions perpetrated by dark cabal controlled governments. Ignoring those sad realities would not make them fade away while confronting them head-on by bringing them to the full light of the day may contribute in at least preventing some of the worst. But it is absolutely true that merely opposing what we don't want is not enough to give rise to what is so urgently needed for a happier, Light-infused future for all.

Which is why, to me, the co-creative process we do when attuned with our invisible (to us!) allies in the spiritual realm during the Meditation Focuses is so vitally important, as we can then tap into the infinite reservoir of universal Divine Will and help precipitate the manifestation of a world free of violence, hatred and disharmony, and so collectively give birth to a New Earth overflowing with benevolence, Love, and perfect peaceful harmony with all realms of Nature.

As a friend was mentioning to me a couple days ago, although the odds of succeeding may sometime appear dauntingly minimal, the vision we must hold is that all will turn out OK (in the grander scheme of things) and that we will rise to the challenge presented to us thanks in part to the "stimulating prodding" done through our darkly inclined soul kins' deeds, and, seemingly miraculously, turn things around for the better just in the nick of time to co-create a new era of Peace, Love and Harmony for all.

This is why we are here and that's what we are achieving by simply being Who We Are and so going with the flow of spiritual guidance that brings us exactly where we are supposed to be to accomplish precisely what we came for.

Love and Light shall prevail

Jean

AND DAVID SENT THIS FINAL AND MOST APPROPRIATE COMMENT:

Jean - Thank you. The vision that moves through me is of naught but awakening. Only by bringing forth the apparent darker aspects will we be able to be reborn into that which we were created for, as beings of pure love and Light. Realizing there is no out there or them, only we. By accepting our part of all that goes on about us, may we take the next step. The turmoil is simply a reflection of the deep Self of mankind in its metamorphosis process.

Denial of Self determines the time table. When we release the fear and the ego, the voice of Guidance is always present.

Love & Light ARE prevailing!!

Thank you again for your work.

David Irish

12-June-06

Information about your future is coming at you from all sides. It is not surprising that you have difficulty in putting it all together to make some sense. You get truthful accounts of what is happening, along with vague news and outright disinformation. The whole situation is carrying you along very rapidly, but the confusion is for some people preventing a clear vision from emerging.

The world teeters on the edge of global war, yet the closer it gets there is the promise of changes that will stop it at a stroke. The dark have a plan for your imprisonment upon your planet, and the Light another for your release.

The wars that have continued unabated for almost 200 hundred years, have caused widespread death, injury and destruction. Can you imagine the million of souls that have been involved, and the hatred, bitterness and sadness that has resulted. Souls returning to the higher dimensions emotionally scarred, tired and mentally exhausted from having been held in a state of turmoil and fear. Their involvement has more often than not been rooted in karma, and they have had severe lessons to learn.

Today, you see the continuation of the attempts of the dark to exploit any situation that engenders fear and chaos. You also see evidence of the Light as it opens up the dark to inspection, and is revealed for its true activities. The two counterbalance each other, and they are viewed and controlled by the Lords of Karma. Over millennia of time, there have been high and low spots for both, but one has not been allowed to totally subdue the other.

Your cycle of duality has been carefully planned by the Spiritually Hierarchy to allow you free expression, but always in a way that has led to your eventual progression. Outwardly it may not appear so, but you have developed your spiritual understanding in a steady manner, and with it your consciousness has also grown.

Although each lifetime has set you different goals, some have been less demanding than others. To a certain extent you decide how much you take on, but we do not encourage you to accept too much. However, in these end times it is slightly different, as so many of you wish to clear your remaining karma as soon as possible. You may recognize yourself as one such person, and no doubt can tell many stories of extremely testing times, and continual changes in your good or bad fortune.

Spirit no longer requires you to clear all karma, and minor misdemeanors will be forgiven under the Law of Grace. Bear in mind that some parts of your life will be tests, to confirm whether you have or not learnt previous lessons. Some are not of a critical nature, but they can have far reaching consequences if you fail.

Tests relating to aspects of honesty and truthfulness are commonplace. Everyday you are likely to have these challenged, and when you are spiritually advanced you will respond correctly without a second thought. Man has unfortunately set low standards that have allowed the acceptance of loose morals, and often pander to the lowest expressions of life.

Surrounded by such a plethora of distractions, it is no wonder that it takes strong willed people to stay on their path. However, there does come a time when you will create your own protection against these intrusions. This will be achieved when you have recognized your own divinity, and you leave the lower vibrations behind. It is of course possible to have a foot in both worlds, but as you move further into the Light it becomes easier to rise up.

The prospect of finding yourself in a dimension where only the truth can exist may seem a strange concept, but you will find it perfectly natural. This is the destination of those who will leave duality for Ascension, where the dark energies have no place. With truth comes trust and a peace of mind that knows no equal. There are times now when some of you come together in a common purpose to carry out your work for Light, and you will have touched upon the loving embrace of the energies of peace and harmony.

You have incredible experiences ahead of you, and will be well prepared for them in the coming years. Already you desire the changes within self, and many are absorbing the higher energies as they arrive upon Earth. Everything is being affected, and as the Light grows so the dark is diminishing fast. Its time is coming to a sudden end, and no longer will its influence be felt.

Lightworkers are still awakening to their roles, although some may not be called upon until after First Contact. It remains the prelude to all of the changes we have promised you, and nothing shall deter us and our allies from bringing these to you. Those representing the Light are a body of souls that are highly organized. They are on a mission for the Creator, and shall experience total success.

Your world situation is deteriorating, and this is through the actions of the dark and a natural decline as Economic systems collapse. Many countries are bankrupt and cannot maintain their position for much longer. You will note that the changes are becoming more desperately needed, as your leaders have little idea as to how the massive problems can be overcome. Major changes are required, and we have already laid down the plans that shall provide the answers.

Man does not own the Earth but treats it as though he does, and systematically robs it of its riches in the pursuit wealth and power. This has largely caused worldwide climatic changes. They are having undesirable affects on your ecosystem, and again it is not something that can be sustained for much longer. You need us and our ability to solve your problems, as otherwise you are heading for dire consequences. We hear your pleas for help, and they will be answered soon.

Many people still live very insular lives, and have little awareness of what is happening around them. They are not necessarily of the dark, but have not opened their consciousness sufficiently to realize the significance of this time. We shall make one of our first tasks the education of the masses, so that they will understand.

I am Atmos, and shall be one to introduce myself at First Contact, and I am a spokesperson for The Galactic Federation. The time nears that you are waiting for, and we see the possibility of more surprises before the last cabal is removed. Those who now oppose them are gaining more power and support. With our additional help we expect to see some significant events upon Earth before very long. It has been a long wait and we too are anxious to start, but in the end it will prove to have been a very worthwhile one. Do not falter after all the good work you have done, and know that tremendous love accompanies you wherever you go.

Thank you Atmos

Mike Quinsey

Subject: Congressman Kucinich on the Iraq war Supplemental funding bill

Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH), who has led opposition within the Congress to the war from the beginning, issued the following statement on the war Supplemental funding bill on the House floor Monday evening:

"Mass death on the installment plan. That's what this supplemental vote to keep our troops in Iraq is all about.

"Today Iraqi civilian casualties number well over 100,000. Iraqi civilian injuries could be over one million, but who is keeping track? Some act as though the Iraqis are not real people, with real families, real hopes and real dreams and loves of their own.

"We have lost nearly 2,500 of our own brave soldiers. Up to 48,000 troops have suffered physical or emotional injuries that could scar them and their loved ones for life.

"Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Steiglitz says the war could cost $2 trillion dollars. Two trillion dollars for war while the American people are told we don't have enough money for job creation, education, health care and social security.

"The Administration went into Iraq without an exit strategy not because they are incompetent, but because they have no intention of leaving.

"We are spending hundreds of millions building permanent bases in Iraq. The Administration recently announced deployment of no less than 50,000 troops in Iraq far into the future. We are looking at the permanent occupation of Iraq.

"And so the long cadence of lies has led to Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo and Haditha, soon to be replaced by more lies and more tragedies.

"What can you say when you are watching your nation descend, sleep walking, into something like the lower circles of hell in Dante's Inferno?

"You can say stop it ! You can say enough blood is enough blood !

"You can stop it ! Bring our troops home !

"You can say no to any more funds for this war ! And then we can begin a period of truth and reconciliation about 9/11 and Iraq. Begin the healing of the soul of America.

The Bible says, 'He who troubleth his own house shall inherent the wind.' Our house has been troubled by this war based on lies. What will our inheritance be?"

Across the country this school year, hundreds of "counter-recruiters" have been quietly setting up information tables in high schools. Their message: Military recruiters lie. War is hell. Think long and hard before you enlist.
