Ohio's 2004 presidential vote will be challenged as soon as next week in the state Supreme Court, a coalition of public-interest lawyers announced Friday. The lawyers have taken sworn testimony from hundreds of people in hearings in Columbus and Cincinnati, and will use excerpts as well as documents obtained from county election officials and Election Day exit polls to make a case that thousands of votes were incorrectly counted or not counted on Election Day. "The objective is to get to the truth," said Columbus Ohio lawyer Cliff Arnebeck, coordinator of the Ohio Honest Elections Campaign. "What's critically important, whether it's President Bush or Sen. Kerry, whoever's been elected actually elected, is to know you won by an honest election. So it's in the interest of both sides as American citizens to know the truth and have this answered." The challenge comes as the Green Party has plans to file for a recount of the state's 2004 presidential vote. The Green Party and the Ohio Honest Elections Campaign both believe the unofficial results announced on Election Day were wrong. Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell has not yet certified the Nov. 2 vote. The state's election law says an election challenge must show the wrong candidate was been declared the winner, or it can be dismissed without a hearing. Many also express their conviction that all of Bush’s critics should be rounded up and sent to the Middle East in time for the first nuke. These attitudes represent a sharp break from American values and foreign policy. The new conservatives have more in common with the Brownshirt movement that silenced German opposition to Hitler than with America’s Founding Fathers. Bush’s reelection, if won fair and square, was won because 20 million Christian evangelicals voted against abortion and homosexuals. However, Bush’s neoconservative masters will use his reelection as a mandate for further violence in the Middle East. They intend to set the US on a course of long and debilitating war. There is no one left in the Bush administration, the CIA, or the military to stop them.

The opening of the Clinton Library in Little Rock, Arkansas, Thursday was a miserable affair, from any number of points of view. The event, with 30,000 people on hand, including masses of media personnel, as well as a number of film stars, resembled nothing so much as the opening of a gaudy, empty theme park, with the former president as “celebrity-in-chief.”

The Chinese are concerned about American and European influence over the world. So is India, Brazil and Russia. Russians need Brazil badly. Brazil is in South America in the American corridor. However, Putin has bigger ambitions: He wants to establish a long-term Russian footprint in Latin America in order to expand Moscow's geopolitical influence in the region. Brazil is very open to the coalition concept where these large countries support each other in term of trade, economics, international politics and defense. According other think tanks, this coalition will have an overwhelming influence over the United Nations. Russia and China are permanent members of the security council. India and Brazil are in the process of becoming the same. In terms of population, the coalition will have three quarters of the world population, largest amount of natural resources and largest pool of technical and scientific talent. OTTAWA (AFP) - Canada is discussing a role in the Middle East peace process, following the death of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, Prime Minister Paul Martin said. Talking to reporters after meeting with his cabinet, Martin did not go into details. There has been speculation that Canada is prepared to provide police officers to help the Palestinian Authority restore order on the West Bank and Gaza strip. But, privately, Canadian officials have said it is unlikely that Canada would provide any significant number of peacekeeping troops, because the country is already fully stretched in peacekeeping and stabilization operations in Afghanistan. Bosnia and Haiti. Asked when Canada would begin discussing a potential role in the post-Arafat Palestinian territories, Martin said: "We've already started discussions." The exhaust of an airplane engine can create a contrail by saturating the surrounding air with extra moisture. A couple of things re this compilation.
First, briefly, re the EPA CHEERS program. I went online a week or so ago, signed the petition, sent it around. A thoughtful friend investigated further. According to the EPA website: http://www.epa.gov/cheers/images/fact_sheet.pdf- this study will not expose children to toxins. The EPA simply is going into numerous homes, finding out what chemicals/pesticides are used in the home, and then testing the children. They are not trying out new chemicals/pesticides on anyone. Someone - either the EPA website, or those circulating the petition, is ntentionally or not - misleading a lot of people.
Second. in regard to the awful things that are happening in Fallujah. The terrible possibility that the US's failure to hold the elections early this year was a pretext to retain control of Iraq and install a "friendly" government as leading up to the insurgency and now this fighting. The terrible likelihood that so many of the 1000 insurgents reportedly killed were innocents - and that far more civilians have been killed. Yet, for some, perhaps many Americans, there will be the thought that the vast number of Iraqis want us there, to bring them freedom and democracy.... and when you see the report you included of how terribly the insurgents have treated Iraqi civilians, well, it makes you wonder.....
How could the insurgents treat their own countrymen that way? If we leave now (or left earlier) isn't this evidence that the country would explode (would have exploded) into civil war? In which case, the only difference between the ki! lling now going on and that which would have gone on or would go on with a civil war is that the US would not be part of it (except perhaps as a part of a UN peace keeping mission).
I think for the majority of US citizens who support Bush and/or the war, it is the desire to see themselves as good and heroic and the propensity not to see other people's perspectives if it conflicts with their own self conception that causes them to support this war and Bush. So, they can hear of the terrible things the insurgents have done, and feel justified (heroic) in being in Iraq, overtaking Fallujah, etc. It is so clear how we are meeting our own shadow in the streets of Iraq. May the Light come to all and dispel the darkness.
I very much appreciated you reminding everyone that even as we seek to expose the darkness to not buy into or feed it with our own anger, fear, hate.

County election records just got put on lockdown
Dueling lawyers, election officials gnashing teeth, Votergate.tv film crew catching it all.
Here's what happened so far:
Friday Black Box Voting investigators Andy Stephenson and Kathleen Wynne popped in to ask for some records. They were rebuffed by an elections official named Denise. Bev Harris called on the cell phone from investigations in downstate Florida, and told Volusia County Elections Supervisor Deanie Lowe that Black Box Voting would be in to pick up the Nov. 2 Freedom of Information request, or would file for a hand recount. "No, Bev, please don't do that!" Lowe exclaimed. But this is the way it has to be, folks. Black Box Voting didn't back down.
Monday Bev, Andy and Kathleen came in with a film crew and asked for the FOIA request. Deanie Lowe gave it over with a smile, but Harris noticed that one item, the polling place tapes, were not copies of the real ones, but instead were new printouts, done on Nov. 15, and not signed by anyone.
Harris asked to see the real ones, and they said for "privacy" reasons they can't make copies of the signed ones. She insisted on at least viewing them (although refusing to give copies of the signatures is not legally defensible, according to Berkeley elections attorney, Lowell Finley). They said the real ones were in the County Elections warehouse. It was quittin' time and an arrangment was made to come back this morning to review them.
Lana Hires, a Volusia County employee who gained some notoriety in an election 2000 Diebold memo, where she asked for an explanation of minus 16,022 votes for Gore, so she wouldn't have to stand there "looking dumb" when the auditor came in, was particularly unhappy about seeing the Black Box Voting investigators in the office. She vigorously shook her head when Deanie Lowe suggested going to the warehouse.
Kathleen Wynne and Bev Harris showed up at the warehouse at 8:15 Tuesday morning, Nov. 16. There was Lana Hires looking especially gruff, yet surprised. She ordered them out. Well, they couldn't see why because there she was, with a couple other people, handling the original poll tapes. You know, the ones with the signatures on them. Harris and Wynne stepped out and Volusia County officials promptly shut the door.
There was a trash bag on the porch outside the door. Harris looked into it and what do you know, but there were poll tapes in there. They came out and glared at Harris and Wynne, who drove away a small bit, and then videotaped the license plates of the two vehicles marked 'City Council' member. Others came out to glare and soon all doors were slammed.
So, Harris and Wynne went and parked behind a bus to see what they would do next. They pulled out some large pylons, which blocked the door. Harris decided to go look at the garbage some more while Wynne videotaped. A man who identified himself as "Pete" came out and Harris immediately wrote a public records request for the contents of the garbage bag, which also contained ballots -- real ones, but not filled out.
A brief tug of war occurred, tearing the garbage bag open. Harris and Wynne then looked through it, as Pete looked on. He was quite friendly.
Black Box Voting collected various poll tapes and other information and asked if they could copy it, for the public records request. "You won't be going anywhere," said Pete. "The deputy is on his way."
Yes, not one but two police cars came up and then two county elections officials, and everyone stood around discussing the merits of the "black bag" public records request.
The police finally let Harris and Wynne go, about the time the Votergate.tv film crew arrived, and everyone trooped off to the elections office. There, the plot thickened.
Black Box Voting began to compare the special printouts given in the FOIA request with the signed polling tapes from election night. Lo and behold, some were missing. By this time, Black Box Voting investigator Andy Stephenson had joined the group at Volusia County. Some polling place tapes didn't match. In fact, in one location, precinct 215, an African-American precinct, the votes were off by hundreds, in favor of George W. Bush and other Republicans.
Hmm. Which was right? The polling tape Volusia gave to Black Box Voting, specially printed on Nov. 15, without signatures, or the ones with signatures, printed on Nov. 2, with up to 8 signatures per tape?
Well, then it became even more interesting. A Volusia employee boxed up some items from an office containing Lana Hires' desk, which appeared to contain -- you guessed it -- polling place tapes. The employee took them to the back of the building and disappeared.
Then, Ellen B., a voting integrity advocate from Broward County, Florida, and Susan, from Volusia, decided now would be a good time to go through the trash at the elections office. Lo and behold, they found all kinds of memos and some polling place tapes, fresh from Volusia elections office.
So, Black Box Voting compared these with the Nov. 2 signed ones and the "special' ones from Nov. 15 given, unsigned, finding several of the MISSING poll tapes. There they were: In the garbage.
So, Wynne went to the car and got the polling place tapes she had pulled from the warehouse garbage. My my my. There were not only discrepancies, but a polling place tape that was signed by six officials.
This was a bit disturbing, since the employees there had said that bag was destined for the shredder.
By now, a county lawyer had appeared on the scene, suddenly threatening to charge Black Box Voting extra for the time spent looking at the real stuff Volusia had withheld earlier. Other lawyers appeared, phoned, people had meetings, Lana glowered at everyone, and someone shut the door in the office holding the GEMS server.
Black Box Voting investigator Andy Stephenson then went to get the Diebold "GEMS" central server locked down. He also got the memory cards locked down and secured, much to the dismay of Lana. They were scattered around unsecured in any way before that.
Everyone agreed to convene tomorrow morning, to further audit, discuss the hand count that Black Box Voting will require of Volusia County, and of course, it is time to talk about contesting the election in Volusia.

11/19/04 "ICH" -- We condemn the unjust, immoral and brutal killing of Mrs. Margaret Hassan in Iraq. This woman was an angel of mercy, a shining light to those who needed help for decades in Iraq. She stood up to Saddam Hussein and to the U.S.military, she wanted only to help the people of her adopted country.
We also do not believe any Muslims did this. There is an dictum in the Qur'an which forbids the killing of women; also, the killing of hostages. Also, Muslims and Iraqis had nothing to gain by killing this innocent, God-like, saint of a woman.
Just as we learned in Law School at the University of Chicago, one must always look to see who benefits from a crime when you are trying to get to the motive and the perpetrator of the crime. The Iraqi resistance groups had nothing to gain by killing a woman who was trying to help the Iraqi people. Thus, we must look in the direction of those who had the most to gain by making the Iraqi resistance look bestial, cruel and vicious.
In this case, the Americans, Allawi and the Israelis, all of whom are running rampant through Iraq had the most to gain. By these nefarious deed, they could blame the Iraqi resistance fighters, or that myth that America has created, the famous "Zarqawi" or even a "Bin Laden group." Once again, the Iraqis knew the British would not pull out, that there was nothing to gain by holding this non-political person as a prisoner. Then, there is this other point, as most experts have concluded long ago, the Zarqawi pictured is not the real Zarqawi and is an American myth concocted to justify destroying Fallujah and other Iraqi cities and the civilians therein. In this case, even the alleged Zarqawi group called for her release and asked that she be turned over to them. Because it was most likely a zionist, American or Allawi plot, they did not dare come close to real resistance fighters, but kept her apart from them so that they could kill her and blame the Iraqi resistance. Something smells in Denmark, and most of the honest world, the thinking world knows it--except the American media (but I'll get to that a bit later).
To repeat myself, all the Iraqi resistance groups called for her release and it makes no sense that Iraqi resistance groups or their allies would have killed her. No, it had to be some group that wanted to kill her and use her death to "show the world that the Iraqi resistance fighters are devils," "that they would kill this angel of mercy shows how cruel and bestial they are."
But as usual, the American media points it fingers at Iraqi resistance groups, or Muslim groups, neither of would so such a thing to a person who had been aiding them for decades. Even her husband, in an interview broadcast on short wave radio, but never talked about in the American media, said he was sure it was not Iraqi fighters, but most likely American mercenaries, American dark ops, Allawi's people or Israelis.
We give our sincere condolences to the family and friends, the many thousands in Iraq and in the world, of the sainted Margaret Hassan, and we condemn to damnation those who did this evil and brutal deed. We also condemn the American media for not asking hard questions or using one iota of intelligence to figure this murder out. We are also sick of the "embedded journalists" who are nothing but flacks for lying military commanders, for Allawi and for the Bush propaganda machine--because of their cowardly lies and because of their unwillingness to search for the truth; we see them as guilty of being party to this dreadful execution. Fie upon such liars as Judith Miller and others at the NY Times, at the Washington Post, at the International Herald Tribune, fie upon the cowardly reporters on CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox who turn a blind eye on the torture, destruction of Fallujah and other Iraqi cities and who don't have the good moral sense to condemn this American bestiality or to search for the real truth behind the brutal killing of Margaret Hassan.

Dear Prime Minister Martin:
It was with absolute dismay that we learned of the planned visit of President Bush to Canada on November 30th 2004.
Surely you are aware of the many grave crimes against humanity and war crimes for which President Bush stands properly accused by the world, starting with the Nuremberg Tribunal’s ‘supreme international crime’ of waging an aggressive war against Iraq in defiance of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and including systematic and massive violations of the Geneva Conventions Relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War and Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, as well as the United Nations Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. As recently as November 16, U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights and former war crimes prosecutor Louise Arbour called for an investigation into crimes against the Geneva Conventions in the assault by US forces on the densely populated city of Fallujah.[1]
The terrible toll in life and limb of these crimes was documented in a study carried out by the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health in Baltimore and published in the October 29, 2004 issue of the British Medical Journal The Lancet which conservatively estimated that the war had taken 100,000 Iraqi lives, mostly women and children.[2] This was well within the range predicted before the war, for example by a British affiliate of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War who, in November 2002, assessed the probable death toll at a minimum of 48,000 deaths, mostly civilians, and predicted that post-war conditions would cost an additional 200,000 lives.[3]
The President’s responsibility for these offences derives not only from his ‘command responsibility' as Commander in Chief of US forces, for crimes that he knew were being committed, or ignored through willful blindness, but did nothing to prevent; it also comes from his direct involvement in the formulation of policy. This includes his personal involvement not only in the devising and waging of an aggressive, illegal war, but also of the unlawful refusal to grant prisoner of war status to prisoners of war, contrary to specific provisions of the Geneva Conventions, an act repudiated in the US Courts.[4] It also includes the approval of techniques of interrogation by his direct subordinate, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, that legally and morally constitute torture and that led directly to the disgraceful violence against Iraqi prisoners, for example at the prison at Abu Ghraib.
As you know, not only are these acts criminal under international law, but many of them are also criminal under Canadian law, under laws enacted in pursuance of our international obligations, most importantly the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act, put in place just four years ago under a Liberal government. They also violate the provisions on torture in the Canadian Criminal Code.
By these laws, Canadians and non-Canadians alike are liable to prosecution in Canada, no matter where in the world they have committed their crimes. Furthermore, as the Attorney General can advise, the fact that these crimes have been committed by Mr. Bush while President of the United States is absolutely irrelevant to his personal liability to prosecution in Canada, according to principles established at Nuremberg and universally recognized since then, including by the British House of Lords in the Pinochet case in 1999. And if President Bush were to visit Canada after leaving office, we would be seeking the Attorney General’s permission under section 9 of the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act and section 7 of the Criminal Code to commence proceedings against him.
However, as you also know, should President Bush come to Canada now, while still President, he would be clothed with both diplomatic and head of state immunity from our laws and we would be powerless to bring him to justice.
Your invitation in these circumstances, therefore, shows contempt for both Canadian and international law and is a grievous insult to the literally hundreds of thousands of victims of President Bush’s international crimes. It is also our belief that the invitation endangers Canadians’ security at home and abroad, because it is a departure from our steadfast refusal to this point to participate in this criminal war of the Bush administration. In fact, it is our belief that this invitation can only act as an encouragement to President Bush in his continuing criminal activity, providing him with an important platform in this, his first post re-election foreign visit, to defend illegal US actions in Iraq and to improve his international standing despite them, all this against the wishes of the majority of Canadians.
Indeed, we feel bound to point out that your invitation to President Bush may thus constitute an abetting of the crimes he and his administration and military continue to commit. As such you and your colleagues could be personally liable to prosecution under the Crimes against Humanity and War Crimes Act by virtue of section 21 of the Canadian Criminal Code, for crimes so serious that they are punishable in Canada by up to life imprisonment. Abetting a crime, as the Attorney General will advise, is regarded as equally criminal to actually committing it and is complete when one intentionally, knowingly, or with willful blindness encourages the commission of a crime by another.
Nor would President Bush’s immunity be capable of shielding you and your colleagues from prosecution, because, as the Attorney General will advise, the immunity applies only to foreign officials visiting Canada and not to members of the Canadian government itself. Nor does the inability to prosecute a criminal affect the criminal liability of an abettor.
It is for all these reasons we urgently request a meeting with you, the Foreign Minister, the Attorney General or your representatives in Ottawa, so that we might have the opportunity to elaborate on these matters and to persuade you to declare President Bush persona non grata in Canada, or at least to rescind this invitation, and thus to avoid implicating yourselves and Canada in the most serious of international crimes.

Bush Confronts New Challenge on Issue of Iran

SANTIAGO, Chile, Nov. 18 - While assembling a new national security team, President Bush is confronting what could become the biggest challenge of his second term: how to contain Iran's nuclear program and what some in the administration believe to be Tehran's support of violence in Israel and insurgents in Iraq.
In an eerie repetition of the prelude to the Iraq war, hawks in the administration and Congress are trumpeting ominous disclosures about Iran's nuclear capacities to make the case that Iran is a threat that must be confronted, either by economic sanctions, military action, or "regime change."
But Britain, France and Germany are urging diplomacy, placing their hopes in a deal they brokered last week in which Iran agreed to suspend its uranium enrichment program in return for discussions about future economic benefits. Secretary of State Colin L. Powell thrust himself into the debate on Wednesday by commenting to reporters that fresh intelligence showed that Iran was "actively working" on a program to enable its missiles to carry nuclear bombs, a development he said "should be of concern to all parties." The disclosures alluded to by Mr. Powell were seen by hard-liners in the administration as another sign of Iranian perfidy, and by Europeans as little new.
Although Mr. Powell has praised the negotiations between the Europeans and Iran, one administration official said that his comment suggested that there was "a steady tightening of outlook between hawks and doves" that Iran will use the negotiations as a pretext to continue its nuclear program in private.
Leading the charge for a tough line on Iran has been John R. Bolton, under secretary of state for arms control and international security. At the moment, administration officials say there are no prominent members of Mr. Bush's inner circle enthusiastic about the European approach of negotiating with Iran; most of the moderates are lower-level areas specialists in the State Department. But only last week Prime Minister Tony Blair persuaded Mr. Bush to endorse the European approach.
Though Mr. Powell will soon leave Mr. Bush's administration, he is about to face a tough choice on Iran - whether to have an extensive conversation with the Iranian foreign minister, Kamal Kharrazi, or to avoid any contact when the two men attend a conference in Egypt next week.
"The simple fact is the secretary doesn't want to meet with Kharrazi," said an administration official, adding that he saw little opportunity for dialogue and that Mr. Powell may have been signaling his pessimism when he made the disclosure about Iran's missile capability.
The possible Powell-Kharrazi meeting could occur Tuesday at Sharm el Sheik, Egypt, where European, Middle Eastern and other envoys are attending a conference on the future of Iraq. A top aide to Mr. Powell said the secretary would go with talking points to discuss ways to improve Iranian-American relations, but that it was up to the Iranians whether the conversation would take place.
A European diplomat familiar with the British-French-German initiative said they were also pessimistic that Iran would back off its nuclear ambitions, but that they had no choice but to engage Iran because military options were distasteful or impractical after the troubled invasion and occupation of Iraq.
"America clearly understands that Iran will be one of its greatest threats in the second administration," this diplomat said. "But the Europeans understand that even the greatest threats also present a great opportunity to resolve problems."
Richard Haass, the president of the Council on Foreign Relations and a former policy and planning director under Secretary Powell, said he favored a major effort to offer incentives to moderate Iran's behavior, combined with threats of tough action if it does not.
European leaders say they want the United States to join with them in offering economic incentives to Iran, such as working to get Tehran to join the World Trade Organization - a step that could not occur without active American support.
Mr. Haass said it made no sense for the Europeans to offer incentives and for the United States to make threats. Both must be done together, he said. The Iranian issue has vexed the Bush administration for so long that plans to produce a major policy paper within the administration simply ground to a halt last year and have not been revived. American contacts with Iran were cut off last May, when Iran was linked to groups that carried out bombings in Saudi Arabia.
Administration officials said there was fresh evidence that Iran supported insurgents in Iraq and had stepped up its support of the militant organization Hezbollah, which Israel now says is helping to subsidize organizations like Hamas and Islamic Jihad who have carried out suicide bombings there. Indeed, an administration official said that Americans believed that Iran was supporting suicide bombers and insurgents in response to the pressure over its nuclear program - and specifically to warn Israel not to consider the kind of airstrike on a nuclear reactor that it carried out in Iraq more than two decades ago.
Officially, administration officials say that a military option like the one employed by Israel in 1981 against Iraq, when it bombed a reactor near Baghdad, is unrealistic because the Iranians have buried their most important nuclear facilities and can rebuild anything that is destroyed. But an administration official said that a military strike or sabotage was not out of the question - "you never take the military option off the table," he said - and that in any case it was "money in the bank" for Iran to be concerned about such an option, because it might be goaded into a more conciliatory approach to the United States.
On the other hand, many in the administration say that Iran is not likely to enter into talks with the United States, as the Europeans want, because the revolutionary clerics who control the government are unalterably opposed to engaging with a country it considers the enemy. "You can't call yourself a revolutionary regime and also negotiate with the Great Satan," said an administration official.
For months the United States's position has been not to threaten war but to force the issue to the United Nations Security Council, where sanctions - including a ban on oil imports and technology transfers - could be considered. But the European initiative has brought such talk to a halt. But the thinking among many administration officials is that if the European deal to get Iran to suspend its uranium enrichment activities falls apart in coming months - if, for example, inspectors are unable to verify compliance - administration hawks will surely enlist others in a campaign to confront Iran with threats.
The decision, said European and American diplomats, will be made by Mr. Bush with his new secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, who is said by aides to be of two minds about the problem just as Mr. Powell is - willing to try diplomacy, not sure that it will work and ready to look at other possibilities if it does not.

The use of depleted uranium weaponry by the United States, defying all international treaties, will slowly annihilate all species on earth including the human species, and yet this country continues to do so with full knowledge of its destructive potential.
Since 1991, the United States has staged four wars using depleted uranium weaponry, illegal under all international treaties, conventions and agreements, as well as under the US military law. The continued use of this illegal radioactive weaponry, which has already contaminated vast regions with low level radiation and will contaminate other parts of the world over time, is indeed a world affair and an international issue. The deeper purpose is revealed by comparing regions now contaminated with depleted uranium — from Egypt, the Middle East, Central Asia and the northern half of India — to the US geostrategic imperatives described in Zbigniew Brzezinski’s 1997 book The Grand Chessboard.

The fact is that the United States and its military partners have staged four nuclear wars, "slipping nukes under the wire" by using dirty bombs and dirty weapons in countries the US needs to control. Depleted uranium aerosols will permanently contaminate vast regions and slowly destroy the genetic future of populations living in those regions, where there are resources which the US must control, in order to establish and maintain American primacy.
Described as the Trojan Horse of nuclear war, depleted uranium is the weapon that keeps killing. The half-life of Uranium-238 is 4.5 billion years, the age of the earth. And, as Uranium-238 decays into daughter radioactive products, in four steps before turning into lead, it continues to release more radiation at each step. There is no way to turn it off, and there is no way to clean it up. It meets the US Government’s own definition of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
After forming microscopic and submicroscopic insoluble Uranium oxide particles on the battlefield, they remain suspended in air and travel around the earth as a radioactive component of atmospheric dust, contaminating the environment, indiscriminately killing, maiming and causing disease in all living things where rain, snow and moisture remove it from the atmosphere. Global radioactive contamination from atmospheric testing was the equivalent of 40,000 Hiroshima bombs, and still contaminates the atmosphere and lower orbital space today. The amount of low level radioactive pollution from depleted uranium released since 1991, is many times more (deposited internally in the body), than was released from atmospheric testing fallout.
A 2003 independent report for the European Parliament by the European Committee on Radiation Risk (ECRR), reports that based on Chernobyl studies, low level radiation risk is 100 to 1000 times greater than the International Committee for Radiation Protection models estimate which are based on the flawed Atomic and Hydrogen Bomb Studies conducted by the US Government. Referring to the extreme killing effects of radiation on biological systems, Dr. Rosalie Bertell, one of the 46 international radiation expert authors of the ECRR report, describes it as:
"The concept of species annihilation means a relatively swift, deliberately induced end to history, culture, science, biological reproduction and memory. It is the ultimate human rejection of the gift of life, an act which requires a new word to describe it: omnicide."
1943 MANHATTAN PROJECT BLUEPRINT FOR DEPLETED URANIUM
In a declassified memo to General Leslie R. Groves, dated October 30, 1943, three of the top physicists in the Manhattan Project, Dr James B Conant, A H Compton, and H C Urey, made their recommendation, as members of the Subcommittee of the S-1 Executive Committee, on the ‘Use of Radioactive Materials as a Military Weapon’:
"As a gas warfare instrument the material would be ground into particles of microscopic size to form dust and smoke and distributed by a ground-fired projectile, land vehicles, or aerial bombs. In this form it would be inhaled by personnel. The amount necessary to cause death to a person inhaling the material is extremely small … There are no known methods of treatment for such a casualty … it will permeate a standard gas mask filter in quantities large enough to be extremely damaging."
As a Terrain Contaminant:
"To be used in this manner, the radioactive materials would be spread on the ground either from the air or from the ground if in enemy controlled territory. In order to deny terrain to either side except at the expense of exposing personnel to harmful radiations … Areas so contaminated by radioactive material would be dangerous until the slow natural decay of the material took place … for average terrain no decontaminating methods are known. No effective protective clothing for personnel seems possible of development. … Reservoirs or wells would be contaminated or food poisoned with an effect similar to that resulting from inhalation of dust or smoke."
Internal Exposure:
"… Particles smaller than 1µ [micron] are more likely to be deposited in the alveoli where they will either remain indefinitely or be absorbed into the lymphatics or blood. … could get into the gastro-intestinal tract from polluted water, or food, or air. … may be absorbed from the lungs or G-I tract into the blood and so distributed throughout the body."

Extensive carpet bombing, grid bombing, and the frequent use of missiles and depleted uranium bullets on buildings in densely populated areas has occurred in Iraq, Yugoslavia, and Afghanistan. The discovery that bomb craters in Yugoslavia in 1999 were radioactive, and that an unexploded missile in 1999 contained a depleted uranium warhead, implies that the total amount of depleted uranium used since 1991 has been greatly underestimated. Of even greater concern, is that 100 per cent of the depleted uranium in bombs and missiles is aerosolized upon impact and immediately released into the atmosphere. This amount can be as much as 1.5 tons in the large bombs. In bullets and cannon shells, the amount aerosolized is 40-70 per cent, leaving pieces and unexploded shells in the environment, to provide new sources of radioactive dust and contamination of the groundwater from dissolved depleted uranium metal long after the battles are over, as reported in a 2003 report by the UN Environmental Program on Yugoslavia. Considering that the US has admitted using 34 tons of depleted uranium from bullets and cannon shells in Yugoslavia, and the fact that 35,000 NATO bombing missions occurred there in 1999, potentially the amount of depleted uranium contaminating Yugoslavia and transboundary drift into surrounding countries is staggering.
Because of mysterious illnesses and post-war birth defects reported among Gulf War veterans and civilians in southern Iraq, and radiation related illnesses in UN Peacekeepers serving in Yugoslavia, growing concerns about radiation effects and environmental damage has stirred up international outrage about the use of radioactive weapons by the US after 1991. At the 2003 meeting of parties to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, discussing the U.S. desire to maintain its nuclear weapons stockpile, the Hiroshima Mayor Tadatoshi AKIBA stated, "It is incumbent upon the rest of the world ... to stand up now and tell all of our military leaders that we refuse to be threatened or protected by nuclear weapons. We refuse to live in a world of continually recycled fear and hatred".

The excellent BBC team takes us on an expedition into the very roots of terror, only to find that a significant part of it has been fabricated by those in power for their own selfish interests. An example presented is the 664 people arrested in the US under anti-terrorism laws since 9/11. Not one of these 664 has been proven to be linked to Al Qaeda. Dirty bombs with their supposed terrorizing nuclear radiation effects are shown by experts to be "completely ineffective." The danger from fear-induced panic is far greater than the danger of this "weapon."

This book starts where 1984 left off, and is a chilling tale that seems all too real. Frankly, this Orwellian story ends with Bush in his Fourth term, and if you don't think that is a possibility, then you are a naive member of the DLC or DNC (of which there are far too many).
Fascism creeps in on cat's feet sometimes, as it has been encroaching upon our Constitution and civil liberties under four years of the Bush administration. Now, as Bush begins the next four, we will move from Torquemada Ashcroft to the Torturer's Apprentice Gonzales as our head of the Department of (In)Justice. It just gets worse with each passing day.
This is a novel by a largely unknown author who has accomplished the most difficult task for a novelist: writing a sequel, with skill and verisimilitude, of another person's work. As the website for "America 2014: An Orwellian Tale" notes:

At the end of the book, you will find a "The Revised Constitution of the United States of America," ratified by the one-party Republican state in 2009. We are almost there in content and in years. Indeed, it may arrive ahead of schedule.

The party that controls the means of mass communication controls the nation. And the Busheviks believe they rule by divine decree, not by the choice of the voters. As Orwell predicted, such rulers will use endless wars against personified enemies to keep the masseslobotomized.

Melting Glaciers Threaten World Water Supply

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Mountain glaciers, which act as the world's water towers, are shrinking at ever faster rates, threatening the livelihoods of millions of people and the future of countless species, a scientist said Thursday.
Around 75 percent of the world's fresh water is stored in glacial ice, much of it in mountain areas, allowing for heavy winter rain and snow-falls to be released gradually into river networks throughout summer or dry months.
"For some species and some people there are going to be big problems because mountain areas feed not just rural people but big cities, especially in Latin America," said Martin Price of the UK-based Center for Mountain Studies.
In dry countries, mountain glaciers can account for as much as 95 percent of water in river networks, while even in lowland areas of temperate countries such as Germany, around 40 percent of water comes from mountain ice-fields, Price said.
"It's a huge issue in the long run because once the glaciers go, you're down to whatever happens to fall out of the sky and come downstream," Price told Reuters on the sidelines of the IUCN World Conservation Congress in the Thai capital.
Due to factors such as global warming and air pollution, glaciers, like the polar ice caps, are getting smaller.
Studies show that Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, may lose its ice-cap by 2020, while the Glacier National Park in the northern United States could well be looking for a new name by 2030.
As well as threatening consistent, year-round water flows, climate change in mountains is threatening the vast variety of species.
Animals and plants in mountain areas, which officially cover 25 percent of the earth's surface, are under threat from the gradually changing climate, as well as loss of habitat on lower reaches which is pushing species to ever higher altitudes.
Eventually, they will run out of places to go.
"What can you do about it? You just have to try and adapt as things go along. You have to be as flexible as possible, but a lot of species are going to go extinct. In mountain areas many already have," Price said.

I come from a long line of humans--I trace my ancestry to Africa and the journey out of Africa into the Middle East and on into Asia and Europe--I trace myself back to Cro-Magnon and Homo sapiens. My ancestors painted images--beautiful images on rock faces in Africa and in caves in Europe 13,000 years ago and more. We began to bury our dead and decorate our bodies and make beads and tools and weapons and lived and prayed and sang and danced together. And, yes, sickness killed us and animals killed us and sometimes cold and famine killed us and we suffered pain both emotional and physical, but we had words and we spoke to one another and told each other of our visions and dreams and where to hunt and where to find other foods and medicines and we prevailed and went everywhere--across seas to continents and islands and we began to control the planet with our clear objective minds and our belief in the Spirit of the earth and heavens and other creatures and plants.
Then, as our control grew, we got into agriculture and ownership and our control extended to other animals and men over women and children. Civilizations, supposedly great ones such as the Aztec and Mayan and Egyptian and Greek and Roman grew, and the killing became earnest then as these "great" civilizations were built on the backs of slaves and sacrifices of little children and beheadings and mutilating began so that those who grabbed power through our spiritual beliefs, our religions and those who grabbed power through material possessions could rule the people through fear and Bibles were written beautiful stories full of blood and lust for power and these were held to be true and righteous and used against us to justify and verify the power of the few while we grew poorer as our rich heritage was taken from us and our slavery became more and more abject. Now we have malls and skyscrapers and large powerful means of transportation and electricity which causes light to happen anytime--day or night--and with light comes pollution, killing everything. And we cry, "Yes, but where is the Light?" and some say they have it and others say it doesn't exist.
And as the grip of the powerful grabbers tightens around our collective necks, we are now choking and gasping and we're finally getting angry and we want out--not into more wealth, but we want to reach out again and with our words talk of our visions and dreams and hopes and we begin to whisper to each other that there must be a different Way and we begin to mail notes to each other through our invention--our computers and what we've come to call the World Wide Web--the place where all the greedy ones have infiltrated with their ads for stuff and pornography and weapons and their negative news--their media that re-confirms we are trapped and caught in the misery and no way out--in spite of all that, through the "Web" we speak to one another and we are telling each other there must be a revolution.
And now I see that we have come to the current ruling civilization: The American one which has stretched its might, its power through finance and has conquered most of the world and made them financial partners to rule us together. They come from Asia and the Middle East and Africa and Europe and the American continent and they all look alike, though their skin colors and costumes may be different, and they are transported about as kings and emperors of old were transported in their litters borne on the shoulders of slaves; only now the litters, the vehicles, are run on wheels and are called limos and are bulletproofed against us and they have slave chauffeurs and slave bodyguards and they speak the same financial lies and support armies everywhere on the planet, our Earth, causing pain and havoc, and the people feel their slavery more than ever as they are bound and gagged into the financial rulership. And the American slaves are bought daily with titillating pornographic and violent films and games and toys and usurious interest to keep buying and listening to the words of their rulers and now the power circle is complete and the democracy has gone away to the few who manipulate, lying and buying their way to power using words to divide and conquer us rather than unite us.
And, now, I, who trace my ancestry back 50,000 years and more, am contacted by those of my fellow humans--unhappy, angry, frightened by the pervasive and obvious corruption unto pain and I am told there must be a revolution and I agree and we ask each other how? because we know it must be a revolution of conscience and consciousness, one without killing. They tell me that God can't save us and I say, ah, but yes, the God-Force, the God energy can and will save us and we must align ourselves with that Force, with that Energy that is in Everything including ourselves and move forward and change everything: our Constitution, our way of doing business and the way we live our lives in order to save our children and grandchildren's lives.
And the promise of my ancestry will once again be alive and bright, shining back and forth through the eons--shining, from rocks and caves onto computer screens and new churches which will once again share our visions, dream s and most of all our precious words--so once again we will talk with one another and need no interveners between ourselves and what is Divine. No more priests, kings, emperors or presidents to manipulate our Divine dialog. We will become powerful at last and prevail.

The following essay is a response to the recent American Presidential election, in which differences in moral values between the liberal "blue states" and conservative "red states" were widely perceived as decisive. I argue below in an imaginary letter to my "red state cousin" that environmental conservation is the ultimate moral issue, and insist that born again christians keep their god off my country, body and Earth.
Dear Red State Cousin,
I have read with interest your emails full of christian wit and patriotic passion. This must be a time of heady optimism for the far right faithful, as Christian crusaders are on a roll in America and throughout the world.
I thought it time to respond. Please forgive me for using this as an opportunity to clarify my own thoughts on god, the Earth, humanity's place in the universe and moral values in politics. And to take exception with christian extremism.
Firstly, let me state I do not believe in your god. I feel the passion of your belief in Christ and know this is so very important to your philosophical foundation and well-being. But not all share this believe, nor should we be required too. Diversity in all things is a virtue.
Religious self-righteousness, self-proclaimed omnipotence and blind self-assuredness are but a wee distance from nationalism, totalitarianism, and despotism. Instinctively I am leery of those who are certain in matters of faith. I note you and your president are so very sure of yourselves and your moral footing.
Oh that I could feel such sanctimonious certainty but once in my lifetime. Oh how I long to be sure of anything. The closest I have come is to be sure that we need the Earth to live. We come from the Earth, are nourished by her fruits, her waters slack our thirst, and her atmosphere constantly replenishes our lungs.
No human endeavor - be it economic, political, cultural, social, or religious - is possible without Mother Earth being healthy and stable. I can think of no more self-evident truth. I am also as certain as a human can be that religion indeed is the opiate of the masses, as conflicts over gays and prayer obscures the demise of humanity's habitat.
I would not deny anyone comfort found in acts of blind faith, but it should not free its practitioners from critical thinking. In turbulent and changing times, I would suggest decisions are best based upon scientific knowledge, humanism and ecological intuition. Not based upon what some Middle Eastern people may or may not have said and done two millennia ago.
Both muslim and christian fanatics want us to live based upon centuries old rules and an understanding of reality that no longer applies. Humanity desperately needs a new vision free of the dogmas of the past, and based upon concrete logical analysis of human and ecological necessity.
Religion should be a deeply personal experience, not something forced upon others. Too many people have died fighting for something that can never be known. My faith comes from knowing that the sun shines each day, that the seasons pass on schedule and that all types of life abound (however, the actions of your faithful president threaten the latter two).
I recently saw The Passion of The Christ. I would have been nice to see a bit more on Jesus' teachings, and a little less of him getting beaten up. In seeing Jesus' non-violence, I am at a loss to explain how much war and suffering has been and continues to be carried out in his name. I do not think Jesus would have bombed anybody, nor given tax cuts to the wealthy at the expense of the poor.
I would never presume to demand that you worship my God. But under our nation's laws I will insist that you not force me to worship yours - nor to live under laws based upon your religion's tenets.
Regarding moral values: how about a little consistency - do we stop caring about unborn children after their birth? Thousands of children die a day from bad water and hunger, where is the outrage? Many, many innocent children have died in our unprovoked invasion of Iraq. Is it moral that a few children have so much while most have so little?
Do you grasp the violence and un-ethicalness of grinding poverty and hopelessness which is the norm for most of the world's children?
One of the primary reasons I take exception to christianity is that the focus on the afterlife has, for some, become a reason not to be concerned about the condition of the Earth and all her peoples now. The demise of the Earth and the presence of grotesque poverty becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy, as the faithful wait to be whisked off to paradise after their death.
Climate change, forest loss, water scarcity are all moral issues. All are various expressions of global ecological un-sustainability that threaten us all. People are dying from ecosystem collapse every day, and our species and many more are threatened with extinction.
The collapse of human civilization (such as it is) into barbarism and anarchy is a near certainty if the dominant culture - based largely upon christian traditions - continues to view rapid diminishment of the Earth's riches as a desirable norm. But if I accept Jesus as my savior, then everything is all right?
Yes I am a liberal, a free thinker, a bit of a bohemian, and a worshipper of the Earth. This is what I believe: there have been, are, and will be many prophets, a spiritual force that is good exists, and humans are on their own to live their worldly lives without divine interventions or a mystical afterlife. I find inspiration in christian values, as well as those of buddhism, islam and multitudes of pagan faiths based upon intimate knowledge of the Earth.
To presume that all human knowledge regarding what is and ought to be is tied to one rather insignificant messianic cult from way before the middle ages is dangerous and cult like thinking that will not meet the challenges of the coming millennia.
Further, I believe women are the only legitimate authority over their body. In a world rife with hate, loving relationships between adults should be supported wherever found. It is obscene that some have so much while most struggle to meet basic needs. The world will not long survive such gross economic imbalances.
Equity, justice and sustainability are universal values that must be embraced now for the world and our children to have a chance.
There are some people very angry with America - including those that terrorize innocent people. Such anger results from our opulence and arrogance, and we had best understand this fury is more than just islamic fundamentalism.
Personally, I would certainly fight to protect my family and our Earth, and perhaps even my country, but not for your or anyone else's god. Unilateral war = state sponsored terrorism, and while I feel pity for the plight of American soldiers (and their victims) overseas, there is little heroism in their brutal occupation.
Given our utter dependence upon the Earth for our every physical need, clearly we would be wise to realize that the Earth is the best representation of the father figure found throughout religious faiths.
I believe the Earth is alive and is godlike. We come from and are one with the Earth. Gaia heals our wounds, provides for our needs, and we return to her upon death.
I am writing to ask that you keep your God off my country, body and Earth.

There, Charles Babington and Brian Faler take the wind out of the primary post-election grist for the yak-fests of radio and television: the overwhelming relevance of “Moral Values” to 2004’s presidential voters.You will recall that the Exit Polling on November 2^nd ranked the most important issues as follows:
1. Moral Values, 22%
2. Economy and Jobs, 20%
3. Terrorism, 19%
4. Iraq, 15%
The authors point out that those results came when pollsters offered voters a list of which issues factored most into their decision to vote. They note that last week, Pew Research went back and surveyed voters again, and took their temperatures in two ways— with a list (as was offered on election day), and without one (in other words, voters had to remember their issues; it ceased to be multiple choice). Those working off the checklist responded similarly to the election day exit pollees:
1. Moral Values, 27%
2. Iraq, 22%
3. Economy and Jobs, 21%
4. Terrorism, 14%
But the free-form Pew survey produced entirely different data. Given nothing to work with, simply asked to name the deciding factor in their vote, “moral values” shrunk back to human size:
1. Other, 31%
2. Iraq, 25%
3. Moral Values, 14%
4. Economy and Jobs, 12%
5. Terrorism, 9%

The Voice of the White House
November 17, 2004: "The domestic situation is more or less quiet, aside from continuing noise about stolen votes. This will go nowhere because while there was indeed fraud on the part of the Rove people, it is difficult and very expensive to prove and believe me, even if it is proven, Bush will stay in the White House.
More interesting, and important, is the foreign situation.
Bush and his friends are completely determined to attack Iran as soon as possible.
What these fanatical dimbulbs do not seem to realize, although there is plenty of evidence available, is that the Iranians are expecting such attacks and are now putting the final touches on their own program to neutralize US/Israeli aggressive intentions.
Both US intelligence (via side-angle and overhead satellites) and foreign intelligence reports indicate that the Iranians have received at least several Russian-made long distance rockets with nuclear warheads included and these rockets have the ability to easily reach domestic US targets, at least on the East Coast.
A number of ex-Russian Israeli citizens are in the Israeli defense program and have been leaking information back to Russia with the results that this new defense/offense program has been rapidly accelerated.
No one but Tony Blair and the neocon nuts want to see an escalation of war in the Middle East.
There are several reasons why the Bush people want to take out Iran.
Iran has the nerve to sell oil to the now-feared Chinese;
Iran supplies money and weapons to the insurgents in Iraq and are arming and training anti-Saud Saudi-Arabians thus threatening the US oil connection there,
Iran dares to sell oil to the Asians, thus depriving the US of said oil;
Iran has been and is counterfeiting American money and if and when this ever gets pubic, there is a serious chance the dollar will collapse as international currency; and most important,
Iran has dared to defy the wishes of our new Emperor.
As an aside, the Chinese, clever as always, have been heavily supporting the US economy by buying up Treasury Bills. Why? Because the US has become heavily dependant on this financial support and when the Chinese decide to cut off this aid, (which there is every indication that they will do) there will be a very quick economic collapse here. This is a very clever ploy and it is a bargaining chip for Beijing to play if and when it gets a good offer from other enemies of the US.
Our people are putting stories out about a fictional "super missile" that is speed-of-light fast and cannot be interdicted. This is pure PR bullshit. The concept has been studied but is not feasible and almost everyone else knows it. The newly-sycophantic press is eagerly putting this one out all over the place but outside the US, it is considered almost as big a joke as the fictional "Star Wars" program was.
Bush no longer wants, nor will have, any independent thought around the Monkey Palace. He replaced the very reluctant and, from his point of view, obstructionist, Powell with the ferociously butt-kissing Condi Rice. She has spent the first imperial term running all over the Beltway doing everything she can to support Bush, even though she lies through her teeth and is well aware of it. Also, it is repulsive to hear her suck up to Bush. She lavishly praises him in front of others, claiming that he is a brilliant man, which he certainly is not, and a fount of wisdom. Her favorite phrase is "Oh, you are right as usual, Mr. President!" and her conduct is very dangerous. Bush sucks up flattery and loves flatterers with an abiding passion. No one who wants to keep his or her job dares to give him information that is contrary to his beliefs or who dares to cross Fat Karl Rove in any way. One of Rove‚s super-gay , joy-boy loving friends has now been elevated by Bush to a very important position but there is trouble brewing in that quarter and look for leaks to cause more rage in the Oval Office.
Queers, Likudists, Jesus Freaks and neo-fascists are all we see around here these days and the suction around the Imperial fundament sounds like a vacuum convention in full swing."

GET OUT THE REAL VOTE: Boycott Christmas

These days I wake up each morning in a state of quandry: Should I just surrender to the devastating weirdness of it all or stand up and be counted as one of the movers and shakers and igniters of new vision. Is my passion to inspire and be inspired by the possibilities of new and wholly other ways to be human just an excercise in futility, or am I part of a tidal wave of change?
Okay, so the people seem to know that the election was fraudulent... Duh! Surprise surprise, that the purveyors of warcrimes based on unequivocal, pure deception would have orchestrated a second presidential coup? But this time, looks like we're figuring out that we're living under an oligarchal dictatorship, that there was no real election...and American democracy is pure illusion, and our fantasy of a virtuous national heritage is simply a denial of reality.
What we crave is integrity, right? If voting is bogus then is there some other way to have our voices be heard by the designers and crafters of worst-case scenarios, and to hear our own voices and each others and make sense, somehow, out of civilization's disheartening mess? Find the exit route? Re-vamp the situation?
Since the government and the military are branches of Corporate America, they are merely doing our dirty work so we can consume the spoils of their overt and covert invasions and occupations of the lands and resources of the peoples of the third world, and the exploited labor of the working poor everywhere. We all do it, including yours truly. Therefore all of our railing against the government or Bush or whatever is futile and ridiculous bordering on comical. Want freedom? Ya! So I figure, create a real election...
Hmmmm I thought ...what a perfect time of year for a boycott! Yeah, let's boycott...... Christmas!
Yeah! If all the Kerry people (and those who just voted against Bush) just put their money where their hearts are and created an alternative to the Christmas buying frenzy, our voices would be heard. Our votes would be truly cast and counted.
However, I've been informed by my many spiritually correct informants that it's important to stay positive while accelerating human evolution, and that the subject of BOYCOTT is focusing on the negative. I've done some soul-searching and I thought that since Christmas is Jesus' birthday and everything, maybe we should just ask Jesus what he thinks of an economic boycott of Christmas, and so I meditated and prayed for his guidance. I asked him what he thought, and he spoke to me thus:
Quoth Jesus:
"I am of woman born. I came to this world through her glorious grace as she swelled and opened and brought me forth from the womb of her. I was bathed in the blood and the body of the Mother of Life as I came in. She is the first I will ever know and I am blessed to the heavens for this gift, this life. Red is the blood of Creation. All my blessed life I squirmed and walked and danced naked upon the fertile green wonder beneath my feet, this place, this home, this belly warm. Green is the blood of the plants that sustain all Life.
Quite honestly, I love the red and the green, but I don't like Christmas, even though I'm Jesus and it's my birthday and everything. I know you all mean well, but it really bothers me...
For one thing, no one ever asks me what I want for Christmas. Don't you even want to know what I want? Okay, I'm gonna tell you. Maybe if I do then finally I might get my Christmas wish. Here it is: I want people to stop dropping bombs on each other in my name. Do you hear me? I want the warmongering profiteers to stop pillaging and sucking the lifeblood out of earth-based, indigenous peoples, turning them into fodder for corporate machinery to continue to produce more and more things that are designed to be thrown away. I pray thee, not in my name! I never gave my blessings upon these acts. It makes me sad and sick.
Speaking of sadness and sickness, another thing I want for Christmas is: I want off this fucking cross, okay? Jesus! Isn't it enough already? Don't you want to move on? How can you affix your gaze upon the symbol of my ghastly torture and think you can just go off and have a nice day. Don't you see that you create from that upon which you focus? If you can get rid of this ghoulish necrophilic visual, you can finally free my immortal soul from this perpetual torture, and then maybe you can see my true nature and hear what it is I really came here to say. Hello! No seriously, if you love me, you will take me down off of this thing. It's what I want for Christmas, for god's sake, it's the holidays, I feel like dancing, wanna drink some eggnog...
This Christmas I want the people of the Earth to celebrate Birth, the birth of life itself and of every being as all are the children of God. I am but one sacred son, with a big reputation for telling the truth. Then may it be known that all prayers lead me to you, for you are my reflection. Behold the Kingdom of God is within you. Haven't I said that already? What part of the kingdom of God is within you don't you understand?
Your power, today, my sistren and brethren, is in the almighty dollar. If you are politically and spiritually in opposition to the heinous killing spree conducted to advance the values of corporate capitalism, blood for oil, the spread of western monoculture, a McDonald's in every village, all must now buy seeds from Monsanto that are engineered so they cannot turn a second crop... If you are strong enough to hold yourselves accountable for your part upholding the system that is essentially a suicide pact, then this Christmas you will use the almighty dollar as a tool of conscious evolution.
For Christmas, I, the Lord Jesus Christ, wish to see an economic boycott of Christmas. I pray thee, stop shopping! Make my Christmas wish come true by not buying presents, withdraw your support of the economic system that is holding you and me and the whole world hostage. Don't use gas to drive around shopping, chill at home with your tribe.Don't travel far and wide to visit family, just this Christmas, don't fly, just stay put for the Love of God, and redefine the family unit as those with whom you share an affinity and proximity. So that we can demonstrate to ourselves our real power to vote. Then we can sit back and watch shit come to a screeching halt.Yes! (I love upheaval... it's so full of possibility)
