"Let's stir up love in action!!!! Let's inspire each other to send our love consciously in every waking moment to those out there who have yet to KNOW who they are. I wish to focus on what we can do to reverse, remedy, change and heal these situations and concentrate on the meditations and sending unconditional love to these countries and the souls who have chosen to be there. These people need to feel our love and support and assist them to move out of a victim mentality into their own Divinity and this is what I concentrate on in my meditations. Calling Spirit in to inspire these souls to Remember who they are and that Spirit cannot be oppressed. If we remain in victim consciousness, we will always attract an oppressor, and once we step out of that consciousness, the oppressor will be disarmed and lose his power. No-one can oppress us without our permission or agreement. Peace Harmony and Love are our natural state and innately these people know that, therefore I consider it our Spiritual Mission to assist them in connecting within to that energy of forgiveness and unconditional love and therein lies their and our power."

"The important thing is not to think much, but to love much; and so, do that which best stirs you to love."
- Saint Teresa of Avila
"Anyone who has had such an experience of God, who has felt such a profound sense of connection with reality, knows that there is only one truly significant work to do in life, and that is love; to love nature, to love people, to love animals, to love creation itself, just because it is. To serve God's creation with a warm and loving hand of generosity and compassion - that is the only meaningful existence.

"I so do appreciate all the emails I have received and also the ability to comprehend, something I have known most of my life but was unable to put into words. Your intensive search and work is phenomenal and am grateful that somehow I stumbled into the Earth Rainbow Network. Thanks so much for being there, I so do believe that we are on the brink of something and for some reason it doesn't feel like all doom and gloom, at least where I am coming from at this precise moment. For this I thank my Higher Power - in an instant I was changed and keep changing day by day, old ideas, old learning experiences have taken on a different hue for I am no longer the searching person of yesterday, still searching but it is different. I did want to send you a note to just express my gratitude for your work. Thank you very much."

The Activation of the Sixth Gate of the 11:11 One Earth - One Being
http://www.nvisible.com/1111/6thGate.html
The 6th Gate Activation will take place on May 29th, 2004 (...) The keynote of the Sixth Gate is One Earth - One Being. After the Personal Freedom of 5th Gate comes being consciously aware of our interwovenness into One Being. As we consciously choose to step into our One Being, we also embrace our true sense of responsibility. This isn't the old type of responsibility in which we were burdened with a heavy weight. The Responsibility of the 6th Gate has to do with consciously choosing to take our place within our One Being and anchor Oneness. Consciously choosing to live our lives with our full beings, to love and be loved with our whole hearts. It is the ability to respond with honesty, integrity and compassion to whatever is before us. This Sixth Gate Activation is extremely timely for this is a critical point of decision and choice as to whether we remain in the crumbling duality-based world of fear and separation or move deeper into the Greater Reality and live our lives anchored in Oneness. The effect of this Activation on the entire planet will be great. CLIP - Solara also sent me this comment about this May 29 Gate Activation: "This is really quite momentous because we are having TWO 11:11 Activations in one year. The 6th Gate will be on May 29th with the Master Cylinder on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. The keynote of this Activation is ONE EARTH / ONE BEING. It signifies our conscious choice to step into and quicken our ONE BEING. For it is through activating our One Being that we are able to anchor and embody Oneness on this planet. The 6th Gate is also extremely important because it is the Midway Point of the entire 11:11 Doorway. This is the position where the entire vision of the 11:11 is going to turn itself rightside out, thus revealing the harmonic resonance of the second half of the Doorway. The 7th Gate will be activated on October 30 - 31. The Master Cylinder will be located in Rajasthan, India and our Activation Ceremony there will begin in the afternoon of 30 October and continue all night until the morning of 31 October." MORE DETAILS on the "Master Cylinder " concept at http://www.nvisible.com/1111/MasterCylinder.html and what is a Gate Activation at http://www.nvisible.com/1111/6thGateMC.html - And taking the tour of the gates activated so far is quite "soulteresting"... Global Ascension Meditation - Monday, May 31, 2004
http://ascension.vision2012.net
Now is the time to become again fully aware of our true power of creation and truly live the love and the light, the divine essence of who we really are. Only thereby we experience the ascension into light, the way back to oneness and the creation of the New Age or Heaven on Earth.
A Breakthrough of Intuitive Awareness
http://www.experiencefestival.com/index.php/topic/articles/article/2042
The Venus Transit of June 8, 2004 is clearly the astronomical event of the year. But it may be much, much more than that. The Venus Transit has always preceded great breakthroughs in human consciousness and played a very significant role in the Mayan Calendar. It is also a turning point in the Vedic tradition. (...) The breakthrough of a new level of telepathic contact would also mean that we add a new field of communication to the development of the Global Brain. This field would bring harmony, since through this everyone would be attuned to everybody else and to the purpose of the cosmic plan as well. (...) This overall purpose of the Oneness Celebration of birthing a new field of telepathic communication has consequences for the type of meditation that we should conduct during this occasion. If we are open to letting Gaia develop a new field of telepathic contact, then the focus of the meditation should be to open ourselves up to this.
The Global Oneness CelebrationJ
http://www.globaloneness.com/i/topic/oneness_commitment
join with millions of people in a prayer for global oneness at the Venus transit of 6-8th of June 2004. -- We invite all people, individuals, organizations and networks, to join us in a global prayer the 8th of June 2004. The prayer will be held simultaneously all over the world in accordance with each and everyones faith and belief system. There will not be one specific prayer, but a multitude of expressions for our mutual desire; a new era for mankind, a new era of oneness, a new era of material and spiritual prosperity for all nations. We invite all and everyone to organize small and big events around the globe, gathering people to group prayers. CLIP --- The Global Oneness Commitment is an eight-year project with the goal of uniting people around the globe to mutual actions in order to not only save what we have, but to transform the planet thru an increase in spiritual awareness a new consciousness creating a joyful home for all its inhabitants and sincere respect for all forms of life. The project is synchronised with the twin Venus Transits of 2004 and 2012. It starts with the first Venus transit of June 8th 2004 and ends with the second Transit June 6th 2012. The eight-year project is initiated by the Global Oneness Foundation based in Stockholm, Sweden, in association with the Times Foundation based in Delhi, India. The world is not in need of a new religion or a new philosophy but in need of spiritual rejuvenation. All knowledge and wisdom needed to bring the world into a new era of inner and outer prosperity is already here and have been since ancient times. Lets face the fact that we are all dependent on each other and that we all has an individual responsibility for the well being of all life on the planet. We are all one and if one part of humanity is suffering the whole humanity will be reached by its consequences. This is not anything new. It has been known in ancient spiritual traditions all over our planet. By entering this well of wisdom we will see that we have always had much more uniting us than dividing us. CLIP
The Day Out of Time - Fourth Annual Green Day - Peace Through Culture Festival
http://www.newconnexion.net/article/07-00/dayout2.html
(...) The Day Out of Time has been celebrated since 1992, as part of a growing populist world movement, the World Thirteen Moon Calendar Change Peace Movement, whose purpose is just that - to change the calendar. July 25, the Gregorian Calendar date of the Day Out of Time, is the 365th day of the year of the Thirteen Moon Calendar. This harmonic timing standard measures the year in thirteen even months of 28 days each, a perpetual calendar of 52 perfect weeks, making a total of 364 days. The 365th day, the Day Out of Time' is no day of the week or month at all, but truly a Day Out of Time. For this reason, this special day is observed as the day to cancel debts, to pardon and forgive, and to celebrate life through art and culture - hence, Peace Through Culture Festival. CLIP

Jose Arguelles, an eminent interpreter of the Mayan Calendar says "July 25, 2004, the Day Out of Time on the 13 Moon/28 day calendar, was prophesied as the beginning of the shift toward 2012. This date, and the events occurring on it world wide, are more important than the Harmonic Convergence because it initiates the final approach to 2012. This day is called the "Day Out of Time," because on the 13 Moon/28 day calendar, it is the 365th day of the year - a day for forgiveness, freedom and a celebration of natural time."

WHY VOTE IN THE OREGON PRIMARY?
Following is a message I just sent out to the Southern Oregon Kucinich Listserv and to other friends in the area, regarding our primary... a 100% mail-in primary -- which ends on Tuesday, May 18th. Please share this message with anyone and everyone you know in Oregon... and with other KuCitizens everywhere. Also, please join with Oregon KuCitizens -- and with Kucitizens around the world -- in helping hold the visualization of the 51% Solution, which is described below. As we all know, this is all so much more than simply an election, so much than a run for the presidency. Dennis has catalyzed a movement of change that is sweeping this country, and spreading across the globe. Each of us plays an integral role in in this movement, in this vision, in this shift in consciousness. (...) If you want the Democratic Party to stand for something different than the Republican Party, to stand for traditional Democratic party values and for the personal freedoms that this country was founded upon, a vote for Dennis Kucinich will send that resounding message. If you want something more than simply a Democratic party version of the war in Iraq, of the (so-called) "USA Patriot Act," and of a corporate Health Care system, we need to send a clear and powerful message. The more votes Kucinich receives, the more delegates and the stronger voice he will have at the national convention, and the more influence his progressive views will have on the party platform. Kucinich is the people's voice at the Democratic convention and in Washington... he speaks for you and for me. CLIP - Sent by Larry Morningstar mana7@opendoor.com> -- Contact him to get his whole email and if you live in Oregon or know someone in Oregon, please help mobilize people to get votes for Dennis Kucinich to show he is still - to me - very much an option if and when members in the Democratic party realize that fielding a candidate who supports sending more troops to Iraq is perhaps not the clear cut alternative Dennis Kucinich would present to U. S. voters come the November elections and in view of the growing debacle in this illicit war. How about a Peace President for a real change?

Mexican DoD Acknowledges UFOs In Mexico (With Pictures)

The UFO Phenomenon in Mexico has been recognized as a fact in an historic and unprecedented decision taken by the Mexican Department of Defense under his Secretary of Defense General Clemente Vega Garcia, commander of all armed forces in this country. (...) But the strangest thing was that even that there were eleven unknown objects close to them still the crew couldn't see them, no visual contact with the unknowns was possible for some reason never experienced before by these high trained men. However the high tech sophisticated equipment and sensors were not lying, there were eleven targets outside them with unpredictable intentions. At the middle of a complete confusion and disconcert among the C26A crew the unknown objects suddenly made a maneuver surrounding the Mexican Air Force airplane in a circle at close range. The RADAR and FLIR presented a strange image of an eleven objects near by in a circle formation around the Merlin C26A. The situation turned out of control. Mayor Magdaleno Jasso reported to the base that the C26A situation was now in red alert, surrounded by eleven mysterious round shaped objects camouflaged with a certain unknown advanced technology that avoid any visual contact of them. Morphogenetic Fields: The Morphogenetic fields explained by The Hundredth Monkey

The study of morphogenic fields is an attempt to scientifically document and describe how the human consciousness is shared. The Morphogenic fields also plays the main role in the idea that humanity at one point in time will go through a dramatic collective shift in consciousness. It will happen when the critical mass for a shift is reached, or in other words, when a certain number of spiritually awakened individuals are reached.

HUNDREDS OF HOUSES BEING DEMOLISHED AT RAFAH
Gush Shalom calls for worldwide campaign
YOUR IMMEDIATE PROTEST MAY HELP LIMIT THE DAMAGE
International release
Prime Minister Sharon and Defence Minister Mofaz last night authorized the army to demolish hundreds of Palestinian houses at Rafah, on the Gaza Strip's border with Egypt, so as to create a "sterile" zone hundreds of metres wide. This was reported on Kol Yirael radio by correspondent Shmuel Tal.
The recent killing of five Israeli soldiers nearby is the pretetxt, but in fact it is the implementation of plans which the army formulated already in 2001, under then Southern Command General Yom Tov Samiya, and which were carried out piecemeal over the past three years. (American peace activist Rachel Corrie was killed when trying to block bulldozers carrying out such demolitions).
While a mass protest rally is being prepared for tomorrow evening in Tel-Aviv, Gush Shalom calls upon supporters of peace and justice worldwide to mobilize their governments and civic organizations to act immediately and come out against this war crime while it is not yet fully perpetuated - the premeditated massive destruction of homes, making hundreds of families homeless - most of them refugee families already uprooted once.
Now is the last minute to act against the Sharon government's Grand Design (to create an Israeli-controlled buffer zone - "Philadelphi Route" so as to permanently cut off the Gaza Strip from all access to the outside world - in effect turning Gaza into a huge prison camp).
To remain updated look from time to time into: http://www.haaretzdaily.com/hasen/spages/427462.html
PLEASE BE CREATIVE ABOUT WHOM TO ALARM
To begin with: send an urgent protest to the government of Israel, with copies to the relevant international bodies and media - using the following sample letter.
Dear Sir
I call upon you to immediately stop the demolition of dozens of Palestinian homes going on at this moment at Rafah in the Gaza Strip. The authorization for the IDF to destroy hundreds of houses is an authorization by the government of Israel to commit a war crime. For this premeditated crime nobody in the hierarchy will be able to shrug off responsibility.
The killing of Israeli soldiers in this vicinity offers no justification for such an act, nor can it stop further bloodshed. Peace and quiet can only be achieved by withdrawal of the occupation forces, when the Gaza Strip like the other parts of the occupied territories become part of an independent Palestinian state, which like all sovereign states must have free access to the outsdie world.
Yours

Dear Brett,
I read with interest the information on the photo's of Mt Kailesh and the Wesak Valley in the Jean Hudon compilation that arrived a few days ago, and was surprised to learn of the people mentioned in his compilation that they were the first to go to this place and verified for us the fact that the Wesak Vallery existed. As I had seen a TV Documentary on the Wesak Valley& Wesak Festival back in 1987 which film was taken in Tibet in 1984 by an AAB student & coworker who is a film director, Albert Falzon, I thought you would like to know that the information on Jean Hudon's compilation is incorrect. Would you please let the people who journeyed to the Valley know this
Albie a member of the Sydney Goodwill Group for many years, (longer than I actually and I've been there since 1988) travelled to the Valley with 3 other Australians in 1984. The trip almost cost them their lives!! He filmed a 60minute documentary which has been shown on Television in over 60 countries and is currently working on a book outlining this journey which will include a DVD of the documentary.
If you want to contact him let me know and I will pass on his email and website, but do think that the information sent to Jean Hudon needs to be corrected. Naturally I know that it was done unintentionally and not to mislead that is not why I am writing to you.
Much love in the one work,

A Wrinkle in Time (May 10)
http://abc.go.com/movies/awrinkleintime.html
When astrophysicist Dr. Jack Murry (Chris Potter) disappears without a trace, his children, Meg (Katie Stuart) and Charles Wallace (David Dorfman), and neighbor Calvin O'Keefe (Gregory Smith) take it upon themselves to find him. Guided by Mrs. Whatsit (Alfre Woodard), Mrs. Who (Alison Elliott) and Mrs. Which (Kate Nelligan), the children embark on a cosmic quest before finally reaching the dark planet, Camazotz, where they encounter a society of human beings controlled by an evil force. They must use their collective and personal strengths to find Dr. Murry and save their own lives. A Wrinkle in Time became an instant children's classic when it was published, and won the Newberry Award in 1962. For over forty years it has been on the required reading list for children, has sold over six million copies in the United States and been translated into over 13 foreign languages. Visit Disney Online's official A Wrinkle in Time site at http://disney.go.com/wonderfulworld/wrinkleintime/index.html
LATER TERRY ADDED: "The book description does not give the story justice. Its MUCH deeper than the description lets on. The search for the father is the created focus to help convey Knowledge about our existence, our essence and the interrelationships of entities and energy. For me it not only illustrated the Teachings Ive been in contact with for many years but it helped me experience them. The magic of this movie is that it will reveal to the viewer what he or she is open to see, but if you scrape beyond the surface, you might just be amazed

ITEMS: CP In Argentina: Transformation & The Blumberg Factor
Notes On How A Nation Is Purging Itself Of Terror With Caring
From: Arthur L cornplanter@lanset.com>
Subject: Blumberg meets with FBI in Miami
Yes, Juan Carlos Blumberg recently went to a meeting with government officials in the United States.
Blumberg is a populist phenomenon in Argentina. I believe he came to prominence on March 31st this year when he led a candle-light march on the Casa Rosada (sometimes called the Pink White House) in Buenos Aires. It was a huge march, filling the streets and parks in all directions with people bearing candles, and it was the same in cities all over Argentina. This co-ordinated, nation-wide march was absolutely calm and non-violent.
Blumberg became a public figure reluctantly after his son, Axel, engaged to be married, was kidnapped for ransom. The payoff went sour and Axel became another statistic. Juan Carlos vowed on his knees before Axel's grave to do what he could so that Axel would not have died in vain. Since kidnappings were a weekly occurrence in Buenos Aires, and police were generally unable to do anything about it... and since many people had lost family members to murders during kidnappings, there was a sympathetic note from the people. Enough was enough, and "the people" took to the streets in a memorial to Axel and all the slain people. The march was part memorial service for victims; part a prayer vigil to end such kidnappings and murders; part a demonstration of public support for changes, and a mingling of classes and social distinctions. This march was a phenomenon. There have been no reported kidnappings since.
Blumberg then created a long list of reforms that he thought would help make changes in the kidnapping/murder status quo. He presented these "demands" to the Argentine Supreme Court with another candle-light march on the government buildings and Casa Rosada. This march I saw on several TV stations, uninterrupted, live. There were families of several murdered people. The group children's choir of Christians and Jews sang "We Shall Overcome" and Blumberg was given audience with the the President. Including several opposition parties and factions of all Argentina for perhaps the first time, this demonstration was again peaceful and reverent. Blumberg presented his petition and nearly 3 million signatures to the Supreme Court.
Within two days several of the points in Blumberg's petition were agreed upon by the Government, and were being implemented.
At this time, Blumberg continues to receive signatures in support of his petition. I believe it is up to 4.5 million. compare this with the number of signatures required to have a re-call election in California.
Foolish people might look at these events and decide that one man, Juan Carlos Blumberg, has the right words written into a petition that will bring peace and harmony to the world. I doubt this. When I first saw him on TV speaking in a language I do not understand on April 2nd, I saw how he seemed to reach into the hearts of people. He was sincere, and not interested in political power. This spiritual sincerity, this heart-felt humility infused with a caring for all his fellow men has raised Blumberg into a beloved national figure; a phenomenon of politics. At the present time, he has no political ambitions; he presents no threat to government people or political parties. He is like a priest; treated like a saint; appreciated by millions of people because he speaks to their hearts; to their pains, and calls for love rather than violence. He is, in many ways, like Ghandi.
The people of Argentina were ready for Blumberg. If they were not tired of kidnappings, murders, police brutality and corruption... and if the Federal Government had not been working for reform, Blumberg's petitions would have fallen on deaf ears. But the people here are ready; they have endured horrible military oppression in past years, and horribly corrupt governments in recent years. The present administration, itself a phenomenon of a new order of caring, is only one year old.
People for thousands of years have thought that one or another political system was best; that anything from religion to communism, from monarchy to democracy would "deliver" us from oppression. The truth is that no system is free of corruption when corrupt people run it. And likewise, any system of government can be wonderful if sincere, caring, and loving people fill it.
Apparently, Blumberg was flown to Miami by the FBI to meet with US officials who want to find out how he has, in two months time, become as popular as Maradona in Argentina. But don't get your hopes up. I seriously doubt if the American public is ready for change.
The most important thing to political power brokers about a charismatic leader is that he leads a segment of the people. Power brokers want to use him as a figurehead, so that they can control people.
If they think Blumberg's petition points galvanized the Argentineans, they are thinking wrong. There may be a way of using some of the points in his petition to reduce freedom.
I can imagine Blumberg being understood by Dennis Kucinich. Anyone else in the US Government would merely be trying to use Blumberg for more power/votes/status. FBI would be probably interested in control and order; other agencies are interested in their own agendas. But because the American people are not fed up with oppression yet, and are still living in a dog-eat-dog mentality, I doubt if he would have any real effect in the US.
It is seldom worthwhile to look for a savior; when a savior is presented, the wise man runs away. But when the student is ready, the guru appears. Argentina was ready (for some reason no one seems to have figured out) and Blumberg appeared. Not as a messiah or leader, but a reflection of the "will of the people." That is the REAL Blumberg Phenomenon.
While the American public is factionalized around beliefs in political parties, strategies, terrorism, war, and religious issues, it is not moving out of blame and into unity. When the People of the US are ready to walk away from blaming others; to mourn all dead instead of only their own, then "The Blumberg Phenomenon" could happen in North America.
I wonder if any of those who called Blumberg to the US can figure this out.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (Reuters) - A murder victim's father who has become Argentina's anti-crime crusader led tens of thousands of people on Thursday in a second huge march to pressure the government to crack down on violence. Juan Carlos Blumberg, whose 23-year-old son was killed last month by kidnappers, drew at least 70,000 candle-bearing marchers to demand justice in front of Argentina's Supreme Court, according to estimates by local media. On April 1, he led 135,000 people through downtown Buenos Aires, taking the government by surprise and making him a hero among a middle class worn down by spiraling violence after the economy's collapse in 2001 and 2002. Blumberg's crusade pushed President Nestor Kirchner to make his first big push against crime this week. His plan includes creation of a 6,000-member federal investigation agency and a cleanup of the police forces, long suspected of colluding with criminals.
Thousands Protest Crime Rates in Argentina (April 22, 2004)

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) - Tens of thousands of Argentines demanded a tougher response to rampant crime and violent offenders Thursday during the nation's second major protest over the problem this month. Many Argentines say they are angry with politics as usual, police corruption and a seemingly unstoppable spree of kidnappings, carjackings and brazen street robberies. Police statistics show that a kidnapping was reported every 48 hours in the Buenos Aires area and more than 400 cases were reported nationwide last year. Juan Carlos Blumberg, whose 23-year-old son Axel was slain by kidnappers in mid-March, led long columns of marchers who carried white candles to the Tribunal building in downtown Buenos Aires, snarling traffic in an orderly but noisy nighttime rally. Though smaller than an earlier rally April 1 that drew 130,000 people to Congress to demand tougher laws on crime, the peaceful outpouring signaled ongoing public dissent with the government's response to unchecked crime. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE!
From: "Mark Graffis" mgraffis@vitelcom.net>
Subject: Russian dead for 3 days and woke up again
Date: 9 May 2004

Some people were verifiably dead for days
Dr. George Rodonaia underwent one of the most extended cases of a near-death experience ever recorded. Pronounced dead immediately after he was hit by a car in 1976, he was left for three days in the morgue. He did not "return to life" until a doctor began to make an incision in his abdomen as part of an autopsy procedure. Prior to his NDE he worked as a neuropathologist. He was also an avowed atheist. Yet after the experience, he devoted himself exclusively to the study of spirituality, taking a second doctorate in the psychology of religion. He then became an ordained priest in the Eastern Orthodox Church. Today he serves as a pastor at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Nederland, Texas.
Dr. George Rodonaia holds an M.D. and a Ph.D. in neuropathology, and a Ph.D. in the psychology of religion. Most recently he delivered a keynote address to the United Nations on the "Emerging Global Spirituality." Before emigrating to the United States from the Soviet Union in 1989, he worked as a research psychiatrist at the University of Moscow. The following is a Dr. Rodonaia's experience in his own words from Phillip Berman's excellent book, The Journey Home.
---
The first thing I remember about my NDE is that I discovered myself in a realm of total darkness. I had no physical pain, I was still somehow aware of my existence as George, and all about me there was darkness, utter and complete darkness - the greatest darkness ever, darker than any dark, blacker than any black. This was what surrounded me and pressed upon me. I was horrified. I wasn't prepared for this at all. I was shocked to find that I still existed, but I didn't know where I was. The one thought that kept rolling through my mind was, "How can I be when I'm not?" That is what troubled me.
Slowly I got a grip on myself and began to think about what had happened, what was going on. But nothing refreshing or relaxing came to me. Why am I in this darkness? What am I to do? Then I remembered Descartes' famous line: "I think, therefore I am." And that took a huge burden off me, for it was then I knew for certain I was still alive, although obviously in a very different dimension. Then I thought, If I am, why shouldn't I be positive? That is what came to me. I am George and I'm in darkness, but I know I am. I am what I am. I must not be negative.
Then I thought, How can I define what is positive in darkness? Well, positive is light. Then, suddenly, I was in light; bright white, shiny and strong; a very bright light. I was like the flash of a camera, but not flickering - that bright. Constant brightness. At first I found the brilliance of the light painful, I couldn't look directly at it. But little by little I began to relax. I began to feel warm, comforted, and everything suddenly seemed fine.
The next thing that happened was that I saw all these molecules flying around, atoms, protons, neutrons, just flying everywhere. On the one hand, it was totally chaotic, yet what brought me such great joy was that this chaos also had its own symmetry. This symmetry was beautiful and unified and whole, and it flooded me with tremendous joy. I saw the universal form of life and nature laid out before my eyes. It was at this point that any concern I had for my body just slipped away, because it was clear to me that I didn't need it anymore, that it was actually a limitation.
Everything in this experience merged together, so it is difficult for me to put an exact sequence to events. Time as I had known it came to a halt; past, present, and future were somehow fused together for me in the timeless unity of life.
At some point I underwent what has been called the life-review process, for I saw my life from beginning to end all at once. I participated in the real life dramas of my life, almost like a holographic image of my life going on before me - no sense of past, present, or future, just now and the reality of my life. It wasn't as though it started with birth and ran along to my life at the University of Moscow. It all appeared at once. There I was. This was my life. I didn't experience any sense of guilt or remorse for things I'd done. I didn't feel one way or another about my failures, faults, or achievements. All I felt was my life for what it is. And I was content with that. I accepted my life for what it is.
During this time the light just radiated a sense of peace and joy to me. It was very positive. I was so happy to be in the light. And I understood what the light meant. I learned that all the physical rules for human life were nothing when compared to this unitive reality. I also came to see that a black hole is only another part of that infinity which is light.
I came to see that reality is everywhere. That it is not simply the earthly life but the infinite life. Everything is not only connected together, everything is also one. So I felt a wholeness with the light, a sense that all is right with me and the universe.
I could be anywhere instantly, really there. I tried to communicate with the people I saw. Some sensed my presence, but no one did anything about it. I felt it necessary to learn about the Bible and philosophy. You want, you receive. Think and it comes to you. So I participated, I went back and lived in the minds of Jesus and his disciples. I heard their conversations, experienced eating, passing wine, smells, tastes - yet I had no body. I was pure consciousness. If I didn't understand what was happening, an explanation would come. But no teacher spoke. I explored the Roman Empire, Babylon, the times of Noah and Abraham. Any era you can name, I went there.
So there I was, flooded with all these good things and this wonderful experience, when someone begins to cut into my stomach. Can you imagine? What had happened was that I was taken to the morgue. I was pronounced dead and left there for three days. An investigation into the cause of my death was set up, so they sent someone out to do an autopsy on me. As they began to cut into my stomach, I felt as though some great power took hold of my neck and pushed me down. And it was so powerful that I opened my eyes and had this huge sense of pain. My body was cold and I began to shiver. They immediately stopped the autopsy and took me to the hospital, where I remained for the following nine months, most of which I spent under a respirator.
Slowly I regained my health. But I would never be the same again, because all I wanted to do for the rest of my life was study wisdom. This new interest led me to attend the University of Georgia, where I took my second Ph.D., in the psychology of religion. Then I became a priest in the Eastern Orthodox Church. Eventually, in 1989, we came to America, and I am now working as an associate pastor at the First United Methodist Church in Nederland, Texas.
Many people have asked me what I believe in, how my NDE changed my life. All I can say is that I now believe in the God of the universe. Unlike many other people, however, I have never called God the light, because God is beyond our comprehension. God, I believe, is even more than the light, because God is also darkness. God is everything that exists, everything - and that is beyond our ability to comprehend at all. So I don't believe in the God of the Jews, or the Christians, or the Hindus, or in any one religion's idea of what God is or is not. It is all the same God, and that God showed me that the universe in which we live is a beautiful and marvelous mystery that is connected together forever and for always.
Anyone who has had such an experience of God, who has felt such a profound sense of connection with reality, knows that there is only one truly significant work to do in life, and that is love; to love nature, to love people, to love animals, to love creation itself, just because it is. To serve God's creation with a warm and loving hand of generosity and compassion - that is the only meaningful existence.
Many people turn to those who have had NDEs because they sense we have the answers. But I know this is not true, at least not entirely. None of us will fully fathom the great truths of life until we finally unite with eternity at death. But occasionally we get glimpses of the answer here on earth, and that alone is enough for me. I love to ask questions and to seek answers, but I know in the end I must live the questions and the answers. But that is okay, isn't it? So long as we love, love with all our heart and passion, it doesn't matter, does it? Perhaps the best way for me to convey what I am trying to say is to share with you something the poet Rilke once wrote in a letter to a friend. I saw this letter, the original handwritten letter, in the library at Dresden University in Germany. (He quotes from memory, as follows:)
"Be patient with all that is unresolved in your heart. And try to love the questions themselves. Do not seek for the answers that cannot be given. For you wouldn't be able to live with them. And the point is to live everything, live the questions now, and perhaps without knowing it, you will live along some day into the answers."
I place my faith in that. Live the questions, and the universe will open up its eyes to you.

George Rodonaia's account of his episode with an infant during his NDE
More information concerning George's NDE account is described in Dr. Melvin Morse and Paul Perry's book entitled Transformed by the Light. Dr. Morse refers to George by his Russian name "Yuri". The following is an excerpt of Transformed by the Light which describes George's observation of an infant while George is out of his body.
---
"[During Yuri's NDE, he] could go visit his family. He saw his grieving wife and their two sons, both too small to understand that their father had been killed.
"Then he visited his next-door neighbor. They had a new child, born a couple of days before Yuri's "death." Yuri could tell that they were upset by what happened to him. But they were especially distressed by the fact that their child would not stop crying.
"No matter what they did he continued to cry. When he slept it was short and fitful and then he would awaken, crying again. They had taken him back to the doctors but they were stumped. All the usual things such as colic were ruled out and they sent them home hoping the baby would eventually settle down.
"While there in this disembodied state, Yuri discovered something:
"l could talk to the baby. It was amazing. I could not talk to the parents - my friends - but I could talk to the little boy who had just been born. I asked him what was wrong. No words were exchanged, but I asked him maybe through telepathy what was wrong. He told me that his arm hurt. And when he told me that, I was able to see that the bone was twisted and broken."
"The baby had a greenstick fracture, a break in the bone in his arm probably cause by having been twisted during childbirth. Now Yuri and the baby knew what was wrong, but neither had the ability to communicate the problem to the parents.
"Eventually the doctor from Moscow came to perform the autopsy on Yuri. When they moved his body from the cabinet to a gurney, his eyes flickered. The doctor became suspicious and examined his eyes. When they responded to light, he was immediately wheeled to emergency surgery and saved.
"Yuri told his family about being "dead." No one believed him until he began to provide details about what he saw during his travels out of body. Then they became less skeptical. His diagnosis on the baby next door did the trick. He told of visiting them that night and of their concern over their new child. He told them that he had talked to the baby and discovered that he had a greenstick fracture of his arm. The parents took the child to a doctor and he x-rayed the arm only to discover that Yuri's very long-distance diagnosis was right."

Others people who were dead for days
There are two other NDE accounts I should mention here. One of them involves an African man named Emanuel Tuwagirairmana. What is interesting about his account (archived at http://www.near-death.com/forum/0053.html) is that it is claimed that he was actually dead for seven days. When he returned to his body, it was partially eaten by maggots. A friend of his sent me photographs of his arm to prove it. It is such a fantastic experience that one must take keep an open mind about it.
The second experience also comes from Africa and it occurred to Pastor Daniel Ekechukwu who, it is claimed, was dead for three days and returned to his body when it was in full rigor mortis. His experience has much more documented evidence. You can read about it at http://www.laymanstraining.com/news.html.

Thai Buddhist monks share temple with endangered tigers
KANCHANABURI, Thailand (AFP) May 10, 2004
Walking fully grown tigers on a leash is all part of a day's work for a group of Buddhist monks who have taken on the task of protecting the endangered animals by offering them a home within the walls of their temple. The sanctuary is run by head monk Phusit Khantidharo, who insists all 10 tigers living at the Pha Luang Ba Tua temple in western Kanchanaburi province have adopted peaceful Buddhist ways.
"We are a big family here and we live together, not just with the tigers but many animals," said Phusit, sitting cross-legged on a rock surrounded by five large tigers who take turns to affectionately nuzzle up to their saffron-robed master.
The tigers, with names like Storm, Lightning and Great Sky, live among monkeys, horses, deer, peacocks, geese and wild pigs in a scenic gully where they are free to roam and feed during the day.
Visitors to the remote temple, about 200 kilometers (125 miles) west of Bangkok, are invariably stunned by the sight of the monks frolicking with tigers as if they were ordinary domestic cats. One monk, who weighed less than half his furry companion, was bold enough to crouch down and mock fight with the big tiger, which gently lunged back with its deadly claws retracted.
The monks have documented the personalities of all the big cats in a booklet with profiles varying from "likes to be a star and loves showing off" to "pretends to be tame and gentle but will bite." The tigers, say the monks, are at their most frisky around dinner time when tourists are allowed to enter the gully to watch them eat.
"We are Buddhist monks so we can't kill to provide them with food and so we give them dog food paid for by donations to the temple -- they enjoy the dog food," Phusit said. The first tiger was brought to the temple in 1998 after being injured by a hunter, but died within days.
Soon after, two very ill cubs arrived with large knife wounds in their stomachs. Inexperienced hunters had tried to cut them open and inject them with the preserving agent formalin in a bungled attempt to stuff them for a collector. Miraculously, they survived, and the temple quickly earned a reputation as a tiger haven.
"When the villagers saw how we tended to the first tigers they brought others. Some were injured by hunters who had a change of heart, others by people who did not want the tiger near their village but also did not want to see it die," he said.
"The last cub to arrive had no hair as it had only just been born when its mother was killed," he said, adding that the monks had named the tiny cub Sengtawa (Sunshine).
Despite the head monk's assurances that the tigers have chosen the path of non-violence, some devotees living at the temple bear scars that look suspiciously like the work of the big cats, and locals living near the temple say there have been a handful of maulings.
Sitting with his tigers, and three handlers who keep an eye on the beasts just in case they get excited by the visiting strangers, Abbot Phusit conceded that the temple grounds were a less than ideal home for his striped guests.
"We have started building an area in which they can roam, of about 30 rai (12 acres), and eventually we want to send them back to the forest once they are ready to return," he said.
To return to the wild, the tigers would not have far to go. The temple sits on a small plain surrounded by jagged rocky outcrops about 40 kilometers beyond Kanchanaburis fabled World War II-era Bridge on the River Kwai. Smugglers still ply this thinly populated area close to the Myanmar border, where armed patrols on both sides keep watch on rebel armies and ancient contraband routes. But despite the remoteness of the region, the tigers are still far from safe.
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) believes the rare tigers and the animals they feed on are still widely hunted in Thailand to maintain a steady supply of illegal tiger and other animal products.
"We don't have an exact number for Thailand of how many tigers are left in the wild, but it varies somewhere between 150 up to a maximum estimate of about 500," said Robert Mather, who heads WWF's Thai operations, adding that the lower estimate was likely to be the most accurate figure.
"But direct hunting here is not as big a problem as it is in Myanmar which still has more forest and so probably more tigers, with the bones going straight up to China (for traditional Chinese medicine)," he said.
Phusit said many of the temple tigers were wounded cats brought in from across or near the Myanmar border, and the flow of cats to the temple, as well as the cubs being born there, showed no sign of slowing.
"Once we have built the enclosure we can keep about 30 tigers here, but we can only build it as fast as we raise funds, we have another pregnant tiger here and yes, I worry."

Subject: Astrological outlook for America and Bush
In June and July of 2004, America and President Bush will hit bottom.
By Bill Herbst - http://www.billherbst.com
The American nation was "born" on July 4th, 1776. Astrologically, this put the Sun in America's astrological birth chart in the middle of the sign Cancer. President George W. Bush was born on July 6th, 1946. The Sun in Bush's birth chart is also in Cancer, in the same degree as the USA Sun.
Between October, 2003, and June, 2004, Saturn in the heavens will move over the Sun's position in both the USA birth chart and that of President Bush. This event---called the Saturn-Sun conjunction---is the most critical passage in all of astrology. The transit kicks off a 29-year cycle that structures the expression of core life-purpose over the three decades to come.
The nine-month gestation of this cycle's beginning represents the most serious and challenging of all the recurring rebirths we experience in life. The Saturn-Sun conjunction symbolizes a time where our basic power and vitality (Sun) confront the harshness of cold, unyielding reality (Saturn). Whatever ideas or beliefs we hold that are not in sync with reality are suddenly exposed as shams; the more we cling to those fictions, the harder our collision with reality will be.
Any previous momentum is stalled as we are stopped dead in our tracks at this crossroads. Life becomes heavy at this low-ebb in our personal energy field, like slogging through jello. The particular lessons that are custom-tailored to each of our lives emerge as pressure and doubt from inside, accompanied by trying circumstances from outside. Optimism wanes under an onslaught of troubles. The shadow of failure engulfs us. Under attack, we retreat into a defensive shell and work mainly to persevere, since that's all we can manage, but we often end up creating the very results we most hope to avoid. Errors in perception and judgment cause painfully crude mistakes, the repercussions of which often haunt us throughout the rest of the cycle.
When Saturn reaches the Sun's position in the birth chart of a nation, the entire country confronts the reality of its collective misconceptions and mistakes.
The last time this event occurred in the USA chart was between August, 1974, and April, 1975. The Watergate scandal culminated in President Nixon's resignation, and the Vietnam misadventure finally ended in humiliation, America's first defeat in war. Before that, Saturn conjoined the USA Sun in June, 1945. President Roosevelt had just died, and, despite victory over Germany, the subsequent atomic bombings of Japan ushered in the terrors of nuclear annihilation in the Cold War that followed. We won the war, but lost the peace.
Now, as Saturn once again passes over America's Sun while Pluto confronts America's Mars and Neptune, we find ourselves bogged down in another tragic quagmire, the ill-fated war in Iraq. Proponents of regime change through military invasion promised a cakewalk, with assurances that we would be greeted as liberators. Both history and astrology clearly predicted the opposite.
As a nation, America has undergone seven Saturn-Sun cycles in our 228-year history. The Saturn-Sun conjunction this June kicks off our eighth purpose cycle. This time, however, is different. Never before has the Sun in any President's natal chart occupied exactly the same degree as the USA Sun, and never before has the country as a whole gone through a Saturn-Sun conjunction at the same time its President also goes through that event. So this coincidence is quite literally unprecedented. Symbolically, the implications of these simultaneous transits are sobering to say the least.
Throughout much of his Presidency, George W. Bush seemed bullet-proof. Quite simply, Bush got everything he wanted---tax cuts for the rich, gutting of social programs and environmental protection, and a cowboy War on Terror. Even the scandals of corporate cronyism and massive federal deficits could not tarnish Bush in the polls. The President lived a charmed life under the benefic influence of Jupiter and the comforting illusions of Neptune.
Then came Iraq. For the many millions of us in America who opposed this absurd and unnecessary war, it appeared that both the President and the nation had finally succumbed to madness One did not have to be a CIA agent to realize that Saddam Hussein posed no threat to America. Twelve years of devastating economic sanctions and ongoing military pummeling had reduced Hussein to a paper tiger and left Iraq a crippled society.
At every stage of the unfolding tragedy---from the initial revelations in August, 2002, of Mr. Bush's violent intentions for a "pre-emptive invasion," through the bogus diplomacy and jingoistic beating of war drums in the media that fall, into the shock-and-awe maelstrom of the actual invasion in the spring of 2003, and onto the unbelievable incompetence of the occupation over the past year---those of us who are committed to peace and compassion shook our heads in sadness. How long could a deluded President continue to get away with this insanity? And would the American public ever wake up?
Right on schedule astrologically, Bush's Midas Touch ended last October as Saturn neared his Sun. Slowly at first, but with increasing momentum as each month passed, cracks appeared in the Presidential armor. Bush's proclamation of "victory" in Iraq proved as false as Saddam Hussein's imaginary WMDs. A jobless economic recovery that pads corporate coffers but leaves millions of ordinary Americans unemployed eroded Bush's popular support. A compliant mass media finally roused from its slumber to question the specious arguments for invading Iraq. A Greek Chorus of former insiders emerged from the shroud of secrecy to critique the policies and challenge the practices of the Bush administration.
With a Cancer Sun and Saturn both positioned in the 12th house of his birth chart, the President is extremely well-defended against criticism by others. He has admitted in interviews that he pays no attention whatsoever to dissenters. At his core, George W. Bush lives in the Neptunian dream world where the superconscious meets the subconscious and archetypal images trump ordinary reality. Inner doubts are kept at bay by his born-again religious faith. Setbacks such as alcoholism and business failures that might crush regular people barely touch Dubya. Time and again, he has escaped the repercussions, emerging unscathed from his troubles. No wonder Bush ignores reality; he's had no reason to pay any attention to it.
Bush's chart suggests that he can no longer count on his luck as Saturn's siege of the White House comes to a head in June and July. I don't pretend to know what events will transpire over the summer, but as an astrologer I can assert that they will be hard on the President. Bush's unyielding intention to "stay the course" in Iraq---no matter what the cost in blood, treasure, or increasingly virulent hatred of the U.S. by the rest of the world---may turn out to be his Waterloo, and ours as well.
Can Bush weather his time of trouble? Can he perform the Houdini escape act and win a second term in November? Pragmatically, the President has the powerful advantages of his incumbency, a solid base of support on the political and evangelical right-wing, and a huge war chest of campaign funds. All these lobby for the possibility of his re-election.
Astrologically, however, the picture is much less optimistic for Mr. Bush. The summer's travails in his chart do not lessen as the election approaches. Saturn moves past Bush's Sun, relieving that pressure, but then moves on to form other challenging chart alignments that bear directly on his personal ambition and public prestige. These coming transits, which include his second Saturn return, are daunting at best and damning at worst. All in all, the heavens do not favor President Bush.
More relevant than any prediction about the outcome of the election, however, is the unavoidable acknowledgement that these remain deeply trying times for the nation as a whole. In 2004 and 2005, even after Saturn passes beyond our national Sun, the USA chart continues its run of drastic and dangerous Plutonian cycles that ushered in the new century. These cycles carry the symbolic meanings of death and transformation through confrontation with the dark shadow of human nature---not merely that of others, but our own as well.
In addition, the charts of both President Bush and Democratic challenger John Kerry contain significant Uranus-Mars transits in 2005 that indicate unexpected and erratic violence, with extreme changes in the use of force. Uncertainty and dramatic shocks are likely continue no matter who occupies the White House.
What can we do as individuals to restore hope and preserve sanity? Each of us does what we can from where we are. Some work actively for social or political reform. Others keep love alive by small acts of kindness and compassion Still others take refuge in the spiritual realm to find the solace of inner peace and harmony.
Do whatever feels right to you.

Dear Jean
I spent the last couple months at Kalki's ashram in south India, experiencing some very profound transformations of consciousness, which Kalki equates to as the enlightened state. What is most inspiring for me is his statement that not only is this possible for each person individually, but that we will be seeing a collective enlightenment taking place by 2012! I hope this article can serve as a bit of inspiration for readers on your list! Love, Kiara

Journey of Enlightenment

What do you say after the search of lifetimes has ended?
For me, as for many people, enlightenment has always been a destination the end of the road. Whenever someone asked me to define my highest goal in life, I always said enlightenment. I could never see beyond that. I was so attached to the seeking, the questing, the journeying, what was there to do with my life afterwards? Who would I be if I werent always seeking?
No wonder it took so long! While I craved enlightenment, some part of me also resisted it. Enlightenment is a warriors path, I realize now. You search, you struggle, you fight to get there. And when you finally do, youre dead!
Who dies? After enlightenment I realized it is only the self which dies the little fixated self that was forever seeking, urging, comparing, judging, never allowing itself to be still because it was afraid that somehow life would pass by with nothing to show for it.
What did I know of life before? Even though I had been on a spiritual path for a long time, I had still very much been identified with one little fixation in the boundless flow of life that I called me the me that felt so unworthy sometimes, and was always yearning for more, the self that felt so powerless and was always holding on to what it knew, the self that felt so small it had to force the universe to fit into its own little concepts of it.
This little me had tried so desperately to control everything in my life! Yet, what did I know of the brilliance of life, the endlessly creative rhythms of the universe that were constantly beating through my heartbeat in every moment of existence? In constantly trying to control my life I had only succeeded in separating myself from the river that was constantly seeking to carry me home.
How did I come to the end of the search? In a small ashram in south India, there is an avatar named Kalki. People call him a mukti avatar, and his life mission is to give enlightenment to the world. He says that enlightenment is a neurobiological process, and that all it takes is a little adjustment in the brain, which then allows the cosmic energies to flow through and dissolve the concept we have of a self, which in fact is only an illusion of perception.
This happens through a process known as the diksha, or the transfer of divine energy, as the dasajis (Kalkis disciples) place their hands on your head and allow cosmic energies to channel through. This energy is programmed to lead to enlightenment. Many people experience a golden ball descending into their heads, and a restructuring of the brain begins to take place.
As this restructuring continues to happen, people begin to enter into deep states of silence, or joy, or cosmic consciousness. At a certain point, they discover that there is no more a reference point called the self. All that remains is the vast ocean of consciousness. The drop dissolves into the ocean, or perhaps, the ocean dissolves into the drop. All concepts about reality and spirituality dissolve into the direct experience of it.
My wife, Grace, had gone through her enlightenment process a few months earlier. Now it was my turn. Along with six others, I was given a series of dikshas to initiate the biological transformation leading to enlightenment. Each one came with its own insights into the fabric of reality. After one of the dikshas I felt my body expanding far, far out into the universe. I felt this expansion, not just in my subtle bodies, but also in my physical body, which felt like it was expanding to become the universe.
It was a beautiful, powerful, joyful experience. Although the peak experience subsided after a few hours, I felt a permanent shift in my perceptions of reality. At a certain point in the process, I discovered there was no more a fixed reference point that I could call me.
It is difficult to find the right words, all the more because it has been less than two weeks at the time of this writing since I completed the process! Over the years I had built up all kinds of concepts about enlightenment, and I found that I would often try and squeeze my experience into one of these concepts. I finally came to accept that it isnt something the mind can wrap itself around. Enlightenment is the realization that there is no self to become enlightened. When there is no fixed self, no permanent identity that moves in linear sequence from birth to death, then you become an empty sky, which all the winds of creation can blow through.
Just because I am not identified with a fixed self does not mean I am some blob of consciousness floating around without an identity. I am still Kiara, except that Kiara is no longer caught up in a treadmill of mental chatter and noise. Many things continue as before. I still have the same hopes and dreams for life, but what has changed is my motivations.
I am no longer struggling to be at peace, struggling to make relationships work, struggling to change the world. It is an effortless thing, based on the recognition that I am not in charge anymore, that there is a divine perfection at play that is far bigger than my capacity to understand or control it, and that I am simply a hollow reed in service to this divine play. Ive always known that, and felt that, but now I find myself living from this place moment by moment. My energy levels are higher, my mind more efficient, the synchronicities stronger, and what felt like effort before is now joy.
The most notable change is the deep silence I feel throughout the day. The silence does not depend on external factors. It does not matter whether I am talking or writing or thinking or meditating. This silence is here to stay. It is the undercurrent of everything I now experience. It does not even matter if I am in the bustle of Indian traffic, or listening to the blaring of loudspeakers in every marketplace. The silence is never far away.
I have had a practice of meditating with the sound current, a tone experienced inside the head, which facilitates access to deeper states of consciousness. I had never been able to get beyond a certain depth, however. Now, in this deep silence, the sound current takes me into vast realms of wonder.
I experience this silence as the absence of static in the mind. It is like exchanging a pair of crackling speakers with a studio quality sound system. When I pay attention to this silence, it opens up the door to an endless creative flow, and I feel an immense joy in expressing from it. I understand now what Simon and Garfunkel meant by the sounds of silence!
Instead of a single, continuous stream of identity, I now experience myself as bubbles of consciousness rising and falling from the silence underneath. An emotion or a thought comes up, remains for a while, then disappears into the silence. Another emotion or thought comes up, remains for a while, and again disappears into silence. When the mind is needed, it is extremely focused and efficient. When it isnt needed, I return into the silence, and de-clutch from it.
These bubbles of consciousness could be anything. It surely does not mean I am free from frustration or anger or hurt or pain. I realize that I had a misconception that enlightenment means instant saintliness, or freedom from negative emotions. No, all these emotions still come and go as before. The difference is that where previously that would become my identity, now I simply watch them come up, and watch them disappear. Sometimes they come up and stay for a while, sometimes they disappear very quickly. I no longer feel the need to judge them or change them. I am no longer identified with saintliness!
Another misconception about enlightenment I had carried is that there would be an instant flowering of psychic gifts and inner vision, or that I would forever dwell in cosmic consciousness. I even fantasized about going out like Christ and healing everybody. This has not been so. I notice, however, that my craving for these things has disappeared in the recognition that all things come in their right season. With the narrow identity of a fixed self gone, I see that I am a channel for the entire universe to flow through, and that these gifts and states will come and go as needed. There is no sense of lack here, no sense that I have to hold on to an image or concept of how it should all look like.
There is no more trying to meditate. Or to say it differently, all my life is now a meditation. Much of my need to meditate earlier was to stop the clutter in my mind so that I could attune to a deeper vastness. This is my normal state now, and I am able now to experience a deeper state of consciousness in two minutes of stillness than after an hour of meditation before this experience. I know there is a lot further to go, but I am no longer craving these states like I did before. This moment is profound enough! Every moment is.
I had always seen enlightenment as the end of my spiritual journey, the ultimate in human attainment. I now see that it is merely another beginning. Enlightenment is both an event and a process. The event corresponds to the restructuring of the brain following the diksha. It is also an ever-deepening process. Consciousness has its own intelligence, its own cycles, and it is an endless journey of discovery.
There is a sweetness to this state that is extremely joyful. I am told, however, that at some point I should expect to go through a dark night of the soul, a period similar to what Jesus experienced in his 40 days in the wilderness, as he wrestled with Satan prior to embarking on his mission. The dark night could last for several months, a time during which the unconscious mind would become completely cleared out.
Perhaps it is similar to what the Australian aborigines and shamans in various traditions refer to as dismemberment, in which ones entire foundation of being is erased. This is a deeper stage, necessary in order to de-clutch from the collective mind of humanity. It is from this state, says Kalki, that Jesus was able to effectively realize his mission.
Kalki says there are as many kinds of enlightenment as there are people on Earth. He emphasizes that it is a biological event, and describes the possibility of anchoring this state into the collective human consciousness, which he believes can lead to mass enlightenment by 2012. This date, interestingly, also coincides with the ending of the Mayan calendar.
The idea of a mass enlightenment feels very joyful to me. Through my study of the Mayan calendar and various mystical and scientific research, I had come to see the possibilities for a massive awakening as a planetary species. I no longer see this as just a possibility. During my experience of cosmic consciousness I felt a cellular certainty that this is where we are headed, despite all the political dramas and environmental traumas that we now face and will continue to face as this Age draws to a close.
Since Kalkis public mission began, close to a year ago, many thousands of people have become enlightened, and all kinds of miracles of healing and grace are being reported from all over the world! As more people become enlightened, the morphogenetic fields of enlightenment will become stronger and stronger, and gradually begin to overcome the morphogenetic fields of oppression, manipulation, greed, and deception that are so prevalent in the world today.
The world is a dream in the mind of God, who dreams through us moment by moment in a continuing dance of Creation. It is a beautiful dance, and it is an exciting time to be alive. Subject: Re: Veracity Series #6 - Correction About the Role of the World Court
The World Court does not prosecute cases against military personnel when their country does. Thus those reservists charged with torture have nothing to fear from the World Court as long as the US brings them to trial which seems assured.
---
I'd like to point out that the World Court (properly known as The International Court of Justice) cannot prosecute individuals. The World Court is for disputes between states and certain major international bodies. See their website for full details as to its work and jurisdiction (there are outstanding cases relating to Allied military operations - See http://www.icj-cij.org). It is the role of the relatively new International Criminal Court to prosecute individuals.
America has said that it does not accept the jurisdiction of the World Court, although the World Court is the legal arm of the United Nations, and so in principle, all members states should abide by it. Power likes to have its own way, and individual Ego even more so. Anything which may be a troublesome obstacle is avoided, and so in this way, America has tried to undermine and side-step the work of the International Court of Justice.
If the system were to work as designed, any member state (such as the US) or a major body (such as the WHO or the Red Cross/Crescent) who was unhappy with the conduct of Saddam Hussain could have referred a case to the Court. Presentations would be made by the referring state and any other states with an interest, and Iraq would have had to make a case to defend its position. It would be like any other court case, except the World Court has the power to instruct the Security Council to help enforce its decision. If Iraq had not abided by the orders of the court at the conclusion of the case (which should have been brought 14 years ago) then it probably would have resulted in military intervention anyway, but at least it would have gone through the proper channels and so not be seen as the invasion it was by the Iraqi people, and there would not be the mess that we have now. The way this war commenced has undermined international law and established adverse protocol. Going into Iraq without a UN resolution has opened the door for any country to invade any country at whim. We can no longer say that such an event breaks International Law because we have set the (bad) example. All any state needs now in order to mount a military invasion is Belief that what is doing is right.
There needs to be an international citizens movement to urge our leaders to return to the rules of law and the role of the UN. To encourage this and to explain more about the importance of the World Court's role in the future of peacekeeping there is a small book called "Going to Court Not War". It has been highly commended by many British politicians and academics, and used as a teaching aid in some UK schools. It is inspiring and easy to read, available for £2.50 / $5.00 including postage from Peace Education & Arts Trust, 10 Chenies Chambers, 9 Chenies Street, London WC1E 7ET, England.
Only through education, advocacy and respect for the law can we build a future of peace.

EXCELLENT POLITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT OPPORTUNITY FOR A NEW PEACEFUL COURSE IN CHECHENYA - A POSSIBILITY WHICH REQUIRES EVERYONE POSITIVELY ENVISIONING PEACE AND A WILLINGNESS ON THE PART OF LEADERS IN RUSSIA AND CHECHENYA TO CONTEMPLATE AND IMPLEMENT MUTUALLY ACCEPTABLE COMPROMISES. VIOLENT OCCUPATION AND DEALING CRUSHING BLOWS TO EACH OTHER ARE NO LONGER AN OPTION. GOING TO COURT INSTEAD OF WAR AS SUGGESTED ABOVE WOULD INDEED BE MUCH WISER...

The Shadow of Death and the Future of Chechenya
Rene Wadlow
The death on 9 May 2004 of the pro-Russian President of Chechenya, Akhmad Kodyrov, by a bomb placed under a section of a stadium, has brought back world attention to the on-going conflict in Chechenya. Akhmad Kodyrov was attending a ceremony in honor of the victory over Germany in World War II. Today, such clear cut victories in internal conflicts are very rare.
While many governments have been willing to give the Russian Federation's President, Vladimir Putin, the benefit of the doubt in his fight against 'terrorism' in Chechenya, non-governmental organizations, both human rights and humanitarian aid groups, have constantly stressed the massive violations of human rights carried out by Russian troops as well as by Chechen resistance groups. However, there has been less emphasis on political solutions of the Chechen crisis and the need to develop new forms of federalist thinking to establish real autonomy without breaking up the ever-fragile Russian Federation.
Ethnic, religious, and nationalist passions with their interstate and intrastate repercussions continue to jeopardise regional security and pose a serious threat to peace. The conflict in Chechnya is a manifestation of long-term instabilities in the Caucasus. The successor states of the USSR in the Caucasian region of Azerbaijan, Moldova, Georgia and Russia found themselves confronting a wave of demands for independence in Nagorno-Karabakh, Transdneister, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Tatarstan and Chechnya.
Initially, both Tatarstan and Chechnya refused to sign the 1992 Federal Treaty that would have integrated them into the Russian Federation. However, Tatarstan eventually reached an agreement with Moscow through a bilateral treaty in 1994, which ensured broad economic, administrative and political autonomy to Tatarstan. World Citizens and World Federalists had played an important role in developing the ideas and practice of Tatarstan autonomy. However, there were no world citizen groups in Checheny who could put forth ideas of autonomy and cooperation. Neither the Russians nor the Chechen found a middle way that could harmonise the Chechen demand for independence with the Russian apprehension of the rupture of territorial integrity and the destabilising impact such rupture could have on other parts of the Russian Federation.
Therefore, the Chechens rejected compromises which led to the Chechen War of 1994. There were severe losses of both Chechens and Russians which led to a popular backlash in Moscow. As a face-saving device the Russian government signed a cease-fire agreement and a peace treaty - the Khasavyurt Agreement- in 1996 which postponed the issue of the status of Chechenya until December 2001.
The period of de facto Chechen independence between 1996 and late 1999 under President Aslan Maskadov was not used to build stable governmental institutions nor a vigorous civil society. Disorder and criminality became wide spread. Divisions arose among Chechen clans and factions. A floating population of armed Islamic fighters who had been trained in Afghanistan and elsewhere drifted to Chechenya. The economy could not be re-established , and kidnappings for money were numerous. The Maskadov government had less and less control of the country. There was little economic or social aid or investment from outside, as the status of the country remained unclear.
Thus in October 1999, after a series of bomb explosions in Moscow attributed by the Russian government to Chechens and an attack of armed Chechens on camps in neighbouring Dagistan, Russian troops again entered Chechenya with the aim of 'finishing an unfinished war'. Death, the flow of refugees, violations of basic human rights and the disintegration of the economy have followed.
The Russians tried to establish a semi-colonial order in March 2003 with a referendum on the future of Chechenya and an election in which Akhmad Kodyrov, pro-independence in the 1994-1996 war, a religious and clan leader, now an instrument of Russian policy, was elected president. His death puts an end to an indirect colonial rule as there are no Chechen leaders with some standing willing to be Russian agents.
Thus, there are two possible options for the Russian government. The first and most likely is to establish direct colonial administration of Chechenya. Some other term than 'occupation' will have to be found, but it will be an occupation in fact.
The second alternative is to return to the 1996 "Khasavyurt Agreement" in which both parties agreed to renounce the use of force and to conduct relations in accordance with recognised principles of international law. Within such a framework, and on the basis of negotiations, an autonomy model such as that of Tatarstan could be worked out. Today, Tatarstan has become one of the more prosperous parts of the Russian Federation. The Tatarstan negotiations which led to the 1994 treaty were difficult and called for creative imagination, as well as leaving some things in an ambiguous form.
In Chechenya, negotiations would be even more difficult. It is not certain that Aslan Maskadov can negotiate for all the Chechen factions. Blood and death have reduced good will and a spirit of compromise. Thus, there may be a role for external persons and NGOs to play a role in developing new constitutional structures. Thus, now is the time for strong proposals for constitutional reforms to be presented by NGOs and research institutes.

Subject: The Master's House: A Modern Day Parable
Bonjour Jean,
Here is a parable that I performed for a Cinco de Mayo event in Seattle. I wasn't sure that I wanted to perform at the event, but then a few Totem Animals came to me insisting that I write a parable about the real meaning of the knowledge of good and evil. The Spirit Guides were persistent so I gave in and they wrote the piece through me. Never mind that this parable had nothing to do with Cinco de Mayo...
I read the parable with the presence of Saint Francis (San Francesco). It was an incredibly powerful experience.
The parable is part of a manuscript that I have written that also includes evolutionary poetry. I am seeking a publisher--if publishers out there are interested. It's not about ego, but about waking souls up and these poems and stories which come from Spirit can do just that. After all, they woke me up from a very deep sleep.
Namaste,

The Master's House (A Modern Day Parable)
by Patty-Lynne Herlevi
A couple strides up a cobblestone path leading to a quaint cottage. Surrounded by an orchard with every fruit imaginable, a bubbling brook filled with fish and a forest lush with animals, the couple celebrated the simple life. Although the adobe cottage seemed small on the outside, inside contained many rooms. And each room offered pleasure. One room overlooked the tropical ocean with turquoise water, another a tree with vibrant colored songbirds, and another contained a harpist complements of The Creator. While all these rooms contained treasures, the dark room in the corner piqued She-Who-Eats-Too-Many-Apples (Sheba) and her consort, It's-Her-Fault's (Isa) curiosity.
Now, Sheba and Isa spent countless hours listening to harp music, watching animals frolic in the orchard and eating luscious organic fruit.
One day, Sheba grew bored so she ventured outside to chat with the wise animals. Mother Bear approached Sheba with a prophecy.
"I see a time when the milk and honey of the land will go dry. When the animal people will fight amongst themselves and humans will endure great suffering caused by their own folly. Humans will not be able to leave well enough alone. They will battle with greed and their own dominating spirit. And sadly your partner, Isa and all of his kind will punish you." Sheba shuddered at Mother Bear's prophetic words. "How awful! What do you want me to do about it?"
"Ah," said Mother Bear, "if you share this message with your partner, perhaps all of this suffering can be avoided. But you must forego having knowledge of dark and light because in order to have such knowledge, you will need to experience both. The problem with humans is that when they experience both, they almost always choose the darkest way possible."
After this disturbing conversation with that all-knowing Mother Bear, Sheba indulged herself with more apples. Eating too much, she fell asleep and dreamt that Blue Jay visited her. Again she ignored the cautionary words. "Do not venture into the dark room and all will be well. Please pass this message to Isa. If you dont you'll be very sorry."
Sheba whined, "why will I be sorry?"
Blue Jay screeched, "If you don't heed this warning, the Creator will make your life very difficult. Fundamentalists will strip you of your rights. Life will be a living hell!"
Well, you probably guessed it. Sheba didn't pass the message to Isa and one day the crafty sorcerer Lizard visited Sheba's lazy partner.
"Isa, my good man, why are you lying on that hammock listening to harp music? Uh, it's not very manly now is it?"
Isa shook his head and rolled over.
Lizard continued, "this life of ease has made you rather lazy. All you do is eat strawberries and lounge listening to music. Well, I bet that you would be interested in more ambitious schemes. Can't you just see yourself in shining armor going to a heroic battle? Or maybe you would like to boss the animals around and get them to produce more food. You might even become an entrepreneur, making lots of money and wielding power. Now, doesn't that sound enticing?"
Isa nodded his head dumbly while Lizard whispered a treacherous secret in his willing ears.
"Well, here's the deal, man. All you have to do is go into the dark room. See everything you could ever desire is in there. The Creator tells you not go there because he doesn't want you to be wiser than him. This secret is just between me and you, but the Creator has an inferiority complex and that's why he told you not to go into the room."
Well, Isa rolled off his hammock and staggered into the forbidden room to retrieve his wisdom and power. And as soon as he passed through the doorway, thunder and lightening filled the sky followed by a booming voice accompanied by pow wow drums and blaring trumpets.
"Did I not provide for all of your needs and allow you to live in an earthly paradise? Did you have to strife even one day of your short life? No, I think not. Well, even though I am a kind and loving God, you have ventured into the polarities. All the love you once felt will be replaced by self loathing and blame. You will try to outsmart me at every turn, but most of your inventions will rally against you. You will beg for peace, but cling to fear."
Sheba ran into the house to see what had transpired. She embraced the trembling Isa. He pushed her away in madness. The Creator continued ranting.
"And you Sheba, why didn't you pass on the animals messages to Isa? You were too busy stuffing your face with apples, I presume."
Lizard scurried under the hammock as The Creator doled out punishment.
"Lizard you will suffer the pain of having toddlers pull your tail off on a daily basis. Your life will seem rather futile. Sheba will blamed for all of the ills in the world even though she didn't cause them. And Isa will toil at some manual labor job for minimum wage then be laid off when the company moves overseas. None of you will get the respect you deserve."
Lizard, Sheba and Isa wept. Taking pity on the three earth dwellers, The Creator gave them a ray of hope. That a time would come in the distant future when each of them would have experienced enough love and fear. They would gain wisdom and be given one last test, to choose once for all love or fear. If they choose love they will reclaim the house of Eden and if they choose fear, they would live a life filled with arrogant leadership, poverty, pollution and other demeaning situations. These would be revolutionary times, when people remember their ancestors as well as, mistakes made in the past. Yet in a blink of an eye, the world could return to an earthly paradise. Well, that day is now my friends. What will you choose?
