Awakening to the Reality of our Biospheric Body and Activating its Self-Healing Mechanisms
As we are all aware, many of our sisters and brothers in Japan are being exposed to increasing levels of nuclear radiations from the Fukushima nuclear plant severely damaged in the aftermath of the recent large earthquake and tsunami there. The fallouts from the radioactive substances still escaping Fukushima have also been detected at fairly low levels in the United States and until the operators of this damaged plant manage to prevent the situation from worsening and permanently stop those emissions, most of the population in the northern hemisphere will be at risk of being also exposed to various levels of radioactive fallouts. This is not an unprecedented situation as the world has been previously exposed to such radioactive fallouts when atmospheric nuclear tests were being conducted around the world, and also in the aftermath of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
Moreover, it must be understood that the natural background radiation to which all life on Earth is being exposed from cosmic radiation and terrestrial sources is far greater than human-caused background radiation exposure from historical nuclear weapons testing, nuclear power accidents and nuclear industry operation combined. Although is is difficult to assess at this point what will be the long term consequences of this renewed exposure, it would be highly detrimental to allow fear and excessive preoccupation over this situation to play havoc with our natural self-healing mechanisms that continually allow our bodies to eliminate potentially malignant cells and maintain a healthy balance. And even if some tumors were to grow because of exposure to this or any other cause of imbalance, it is important to remember that the medical science has amply documented the existence of the phenomenon called spontaneous remission, even if what causes our immune system to swiftly overcome a cancerous growth is still poorly understood.
Considering the fact that, at the macro level, the community of all life forms on Earth constitutes an intricately connected Web of Life that has the ability to self-correct, over time, imbalances to reinstate the ideal conditions for the continued existence of Life on Earth, and recognizing this global community of Life as a super-organism endowed with its own innate self-healing abilities, it is conceivable to imagine that through the aggregated power of a significant portion of self-aware human beings' thought-forms and collective will we could, on behalf of the overall community of Life on Earth, stimulate the self-healing abilities of our Gaian organism to deal with the imbalance created by these temporarily excessive levels of radioactivity, so as to neutralize their life-impairing potential and quickly render all sources of radioactivity harmless, notably through precipitating their decay until they stabilize to a non-radioactive state. If one is to accept the notion that the occurrence of such an event at this point in time is synchronistically designed to offer us all a perfect opportunity to breach the barrier of our own ignorance and disbelief about such an amazing potential and learn to apply it to this situation, we could then make a major leap in collective consciousness and start integrating much more rapidly with the Web of Life to finally play our innately designed role of benevolent, coalesced and unified stewards of this planet's vast richness and exquisite beauty... of our common biospheric body.
So please, every time you will reach a state of deep meditation from now on, hold this vision in your heart and empower it with your deep spiritual knowledge stemming from your eternal Oneness with All That Is, so as to initiate a chain reaction of global self-healing, envisioning the power of our collective healing love enfolding this whole planet and thus cocreating the right conditions for its complete regeneration and now imminent transdimensional shift.

In our seemingly never-ending Journey back to Source, we are approaching a key dimensional threshold after which nothing will ever be the same. It is still too early for most souls on Earth to be able to correctly assert the scope and far-reaching consequences of what is about to transpire. Yet, many already sense that something absolutely wonderful is about to happen, that an event of extraordinary proportions is set to unfold, and has in fact already begun. Although some have tried to associate visions of some kind of apocalyptic destruction to this event, those who have started awakening to their true spiritual nature as One with Creator Source have a totally different perspective more closely in line with the transcendent, epiphanic nature of this accelerating transition into a new Era of golden opportunities for fast spiritual progress and global peace and harmony on Earth. What is at stake here in this tug of visions about what is going to take place is, at the core, our sovereign prerogative and responsibility to choose the direction our existence will take, individually and collectively, in the coming years, centuries and millennia. There cannot be a more crucial moment in our long evolutionary Journey, because what is to be set in motion in the very heart of our souls will determine the fate of countless other souls throughout this universe who are to be influenced at some point in the Omniversal Continuum by what our future Selves will accomplish and co-manifest once this Key threshold is successfully crossed... as it shall be.
The crux of the matter here is the fully conscious and deliberate use of our most precious innate gift of free will that is ours to exercise as One with the Omniversal One that we essentially Are. There is no greater Realization than that of seizing with our full willpower this unique opportunity that we have conceived, planned and implemented over aeons of linear time so as to omnipotently assume the crown of our true Divine Nature along with the potentially infinite cocreative powers attached to it, first and foremost the radiant power of Love, the quintessential Holy Grail we have collectively sought to incarnate and which will open the doors onto an infinitely magnificent realm and the sublime manifestation of countless other gifts. This is what we need to set our spiritual eyes upon and to unflinchingly seek to achieve as we take the last few steps through the vibrational threshold of 2012 onto the Golden Path of Light leading back to Source.
Please, allow your Self, once properly entered into a state of profoundly vibrant and blissful meditation, to nurture and empower with the full expression of your innate Omniversal nature the connection you always have with Creator Source, feeling out Its Presence behind the veil of your own consciousness, welcoming and inviting Its outflowing manifestation within the crucible of your soulful existence, and merging your own sense of Self with this Radiant Presence until the last vestigial remains of disconnected individuality are dissolved and absorbed into this Being of Infinite Love, for the Highest Good of All as One.

Our hearts and love go out to our friends and the people of Japan as they emerge from a major tragedy and catastrophe. We hold you in our hearts.
It makes me wonder where and when the next earthquake will take place. As our own inner tsunamis continue to surface, what is old and inauthentic within us seems to be rising to be cleared… again! Even though these events have been predicted, channeled, dreamt about by people all over the world, ever since Japan happened, I have watched my emotions go from sadness and concern to neutral.
How do we sit in balance knowing that we are in the time of the Great Shift, the birthing process of the New Earth? This awakens our memory to the fact that the earth is a living, breathing being and we have poisoned her for so long, that this cleansing is necessary.
I have been listening to talk that HAARP has been responsible for all of the catastrophic events that have happened in the past two years (Haiti, New Orleans, New Zealand). While I am fully aware that advanced ET technology has long been in the hands of the dark forces and that "they" can control the weather and engineer all kinds of anomalies… Is that really true? Does the Earth Mother not have the right to cleanse herself from our misuse? Must we always go to the place that it is being done to us; instead of taking the responsibility that we have done this to ourselves? Does the masculine continuously need to claim responsibility for the shift within the awakening feminine?
The feminine is shedding off the controls and manipulations of the past to take her rightful place as a co-creator. She is leading us into unity consciousness and a new way of being with all the inhabitants that live here. In these quickening days, all of us are being called to witness the birth of a new age--to remain calm and in our hearts with compassion without self-indulgence. Let us hold space for the Earth to shift, change, and grow as she sees fit. She is calling us to be the spiritual warriors that we came here to be.
To all of the light workers who have been in this work forever, now is the time to remain balanced, whole, and in our hearts so that we can join with the energies of ascension. Part of remaining whole involves giving ourselves more time to rest; these energies are exhausting. Use essential oils like blue tansy, blue chamomile, mugwort, and niaouli for protection from radiation and to keep your immune system high. Meditate, meditate meditate… the answers you seek live within you.
I believe that we have a collective memory of the sinking of Lemuria and Atlantis. There is a deep knowing that we have been here before. Perhaps we have; many of us sense the truth in this. Whether we are in touch with those memories or not, with our strong commitment to Mother Earth, we can make it through this. We were born to be here now. Let's move into the heart of spacious awareness and join with her in love as she births the New Humanity.
If we want to overcome war, we need a concrete vision for peace. If we want to overcome the powerful global field of violence, we need a concrete vision for a powerful global field of peace. During the student revolution in the Sixties, we experienced how easily people are united to fight against something, yet at the same time find it difficult to live together. We were able to solve the problem of a police barricade, but we were unable to solve the problem of dishwashing in our communal households, the problem of hierarchy in our groups, and especially the problem of sexuality. Apart from the slogans for a life free from domination, we had no positive vision and no concrete utopia for a new lifestyle. Most struggles for liberation were fights against existing injustice and were not a fight for the realization of a clearly seen and realistic vision for peace and justice.
TAMERA’s* task is to develop a concrete utopia for a new type of human civilization and society and a new way of connecting our life with the beings of Nature and the powers of Creation. Such a concrete utopia contains a relatively precise image and a complex informational totality for a real culture of peace. The difference between utopia and illusion is that utopia is compatible with the inner blueprint and the possibilities of reality, i.e. of the universe. All beings carry a concrete utopia (a so-called "entelechy" and a sought-for inner gestalt) inside of them that guides their development. The power of concrete utopia is immense. It turns a seed into a full-size tree, a caterpillar into a butterfly, and an embryo into an adult. Individuals do not have this power on their own, but through their connection with the whole. Concrete utopia is the matrix or blueprint through which the power of the whole can flow into the individual and bring it into being. If a caterpillar wanted to become a butterfly on its own, it would have an impossible task. Concrete utopia is the power in life that takes all beings beyond their present limitations.
The action of concrete utopia follows a principle of power, which is far superior to all mechanistic principles. A tiny sprout of grass is capable of pushing through a layer of asphalt that is five centimeters thick. Again, it is not its own power that empowers it; it is its connection to the whole, which is immanent in its inner blueprint. The power struggle between the sprout of grass and the layer of asphalt is thus determined on a completely different level. In a comparable manner, the forces for peace could succeed against the external superiority of the powers of destruction.
If we are able to find a suitable concrete utopia for us and our cultural development, there is no doubt that a fundamental turn toward a future without violence is possible. This would give us the matrix or blueprint through which the power of Creation could enter our work. It is the only power stronger than war. The main idea behind TAMERA is to develop the concrete utopia that needs to emerge in the current entelechian development of history and to use the power of a utopia of peace to influence the struggles surrounding the major decisions of our time.
The inner “dream” of humanity is the still unfulfilled, but real vision of a global community of human beings and peoples, in solidarity with each other, linked together in mutual caring and love for all life on earth. What precisely does this dream mean for nutrition and production, the living together of the sexes, the political organization of new communities, global communication, and the collaboration between the beings of nature and the powers of Creation? What does this dream mean for our coexistence with wild animals, domestic animals, and snails in the garden? What precisely does it mean in relation to our daily life, our way of eating, working, loving, and praying? What kind of concentration of power and spirituality in our daily lives do we need, to be able to see and implement the concrete utopia immanent in us and in history? With these questions we are right on the threshold of the Archimedean fulcrum, where so many things are decided.
There are no reasons to remain stuck in the constraints of the old life.

Introductory Remarks
I work in the Future-Workshop Tamera, Portugal, on questions of evolution, history and the future. Through my leading role I have come into contact with various lines of knowledge which have gathered together from very different ages, cultures and prophecies in our global network. Over the past three decades, a comprehensive matrix of data and information about the development of the human being and the Earth has formed. The picture was extended through trance work with a view into the future, and through mediumistic information from my partner Sabine Lichtenfels. The result was an astonishingly clear prognosis.
PART 1: Outline of the Message
The Mayan date 2012 does not mark the end of the world, but rather a peak of a global process of transformation. Humankind will change the direction of its evolution. As a result of cosmic events, the magnetic field of the Earth will change, and with it the neural fields in the brain. This is connected to significant changes in consciousness. New patterns of perception and thinking lead to new forms of living together, including a new relationship between the genders based on truth and trust. The issue of sexuality will no longer be connected to the collective trauma of fear and violence, but instead to gratitude and joy. Channels which were closed for a long time due to a traumatic history of war will open for compassion and love. A power which could be called the “Christ-impulse” will manifest worldwide. Through a global chain of events, humankind will rediscover an inner healing structure, as this is its genetic program. Many new gates will open for contact with the beings of nature. The new connection with the divine source leads to a new connection and solidarity with all co-creatures. This is not a private dream but a collective development. The cosmic pattern which we call the “Sacred Matrix” is inside us all as a definite entelechy of a new civilisation. The manifestation of a new planetary civilisation of course does not take place from one day to the next, but is rather the result of a sequence of progressive shifts which will create, through cosmic powers and human decisions, a comprehensive global movement in the next few years.

We greet the peoples of the Earth. We greet the groups on all continents preparing the new age. We greet the newly developing planetary community. We are in a huge cosmic transformation. The great peace of which we have dreamt so long without avail can now be fulfilled if humanity remembers its sources and builds its culture on new foundations. This process is already taking place. A continually growing part of humankind is noticing that the hitherto existing foundations of Earth's civilisation are no longer acceptable. A misdirected concept of globalisation is leading to the destruction of the basic necessities of global life, from the ionosphere to the ocean floor. Many of the Earth's inhabitants, including the animal world, find themselves in unspeakable pain. We are approaching disaster, and civil wars and natural catastrophes will probably continue to increase. Global suffering can only be ended through a fundamental shift in the collective consciousness - and through genetic healing powers from the core of the great holon in which the Earth, the human being and all fellow creatures are connected with each other. The Mayan date 2012 represents a planetary shift in consciousness. We are facing a cosmic opportunity; a huge door is opening.
NOT APOCALYPSE, BUT RATHER RENEWAL
We know that a strange attitude dominates present-day humankind. Apocalyptic scenarios seem to be more attractive than well-justified visions of healing. But in the present cosmic and earthly transformation it is definitely not about apocalypse but rather about renewal and healing. The end of the Mayan calendar describes the end of old fields of consciousness which have dominated humankind for years. But this is not the end of the world, as it could be the beginning of a new evolution. We enter a new age. The collective basic patterns of perception are changed through planetary and cosmic field powers and new patterns of behaviour will be created.
The Mayan calendar ends on December 23rd 2012. This date accords with some predictions of scientific astronomy. A peak in solar activity and the coincidence of other cosmic events will cause a change in the magnetic field of the Earth. This will lead to a change in the field of our brains. There will be a change in the neural frequency patterns which receive information from the world and respond to it. It could lead to a shift towards the alpha frequency. Time segments will expand, life will get “slower” in a certain way. The rhythms of exhalation will strengthen, resulting in a “disarmouring” of our bodies and to an opening of the sacred centres of life located in the abdomen. Suppressed layers of the human soul will be newly activated. Frequencies of the ancient times of the Goddess could become effective on a new level. Connected to that is a shift in consciousness which will lead us to a new geistic level. [The noun “Geist” (adj. “geistic”) is used throughout this text to better reflect the notion of “intellect, spirit and soul” as expressed in this German term.] Our geistic perception will encounter aspects of the world which so far lay beyond the range of perception, and new interpretation patterns for many things of everyday life will develop. We will understand that everything is connected with everything and how actions that create peace locally can have a global effect
NEW CONSCIOUSNESS AND THE OPENING OF THE BODIES
Contemporary literature speaks of the impending “frequency shift” or “leap of consciousness into a different dimension”. For example our relationship between life and death, here and beyond, will change profoundly. By shifting the frequency, a kind of “eternal vibration” will become the background of our consciousness. Humankind will become more receptive to messages from the transcendent realms of the world. The organs of perception will open to influences from the universe.
The new dimension of consciousness does not only lie in the “spiritual” area, but especially in the basic themes of our bodies, our sensual existence and our energetic embedding into the whole of life. By activating subtle-energetic powers, our bodily and material existence will change and become filled with light. Those changes that we can already predict concern the areas of Eros and religion, the strengthening of female energies, the disarmouring of men, the development of new relationships of trust between the genders, a new friendship with animals and a new connection with the great family of life. Blockages of the body and the soul which so far made contact and compassion impossible will dissolve. A new natural vibration of participation, compassion and readiness to help all fellow creatures will thereby develop. It will be a frequency of unity which will mould the arising consciousness and give human society new foundations. Unity, the holon, is no longer only a philosophical term, but an elementary experience of the human soul. The holon, however, is the holy.
DESERT EXERCISE
Some representatives of international groups will make a planning exercise during the year 2011 in the desert, with the aim of founding a first desert city, in which the new powers of consciousness can grow organically. Plans for this have been developed over the last twenty years. New methods to provide water, food and energy in the desert areas of the Earth already exist. In the second and third decades of the twenty- first century, desert cities with 3000 to 5000 people could develop and demonstrate that complete biological re-cultivation and settlement of the Earth is possible without mega-technology and without destroying nature. This will all be possible because of new forms of cooperation with cosmic energies, forces of nature and all fellow creatures. The foundation for this is basic communication in solidarity between all participants, cleansed from all traces of fear and violence. The reason that these new model forms of life can spread astonishingly fast is the frequency shift which propagated from 2012 on, over the Earth.
THE CHANGE OF INNER STRUCTURES
Humankind has long believed that it could overcome societal deficiencies through revolutions and reforms, through democracy and conferences, through moral appeals and reason. But obviously, the opposite has occurred. The global war cannot be overcome as long as humans have not overcome their underlying inner structures and patterns of thinking. In both cases, these are the same structures of collective human trauma, originating from thousands of years of war, destruction, displacement and destroyed love. Collective thinking patterns of fear and violence are the foundation of human culture today. Neural patterns were created in the brain by violence and great pain, and they have accumulated and become strong beliefs. There are sentences such as “Evil must be punished”, “The enemy can only be defeated by violence”, “War is part of life”, “Jealousy is part of love”. In the cellars of the collective human soul swarm dreadful scenes of Hell, judgement and revenge, sin and eternal damnation.
Automatic, usually unconscious habits of thinking stand today behind our daily misery. Especially in this respect, the date 2012 will have a meaning. Through the changed magnetic field of the Earth and the accordingly changed patterns of the brain, old patterns of thinking will dissolve and make space for new connections. The activation of new neural patterns will trigger new perceptions, new images, new information and new directing impulses in the brain as well as in the cell nuclei (DNA). Entelechial patterns of self-healing, joy of life, belonging together and love, which have long been hidden behind the traumatic patterns, will be revealed. We do not expect a single punctual event taking place exactly on December 23 rd 2012, but instead we perceive it as an ongoing process of overall transformation which will make a “leap forward” on this Mayan date. A healing process which has already long been taking place behind the scenes of the world could be revealed by the conjunction of different astronomical cycles and the connections of heavenly powers with Earthly powers. Evolution will take a clear step forward.
From 2012 on, new life-forces will dominate the planetary field. The long preparation of different groups, both cosmic and earthly, steered them into the direction of healing. We do not expect an immediate change everywhere on Earth, as the new frequencies collide with the old frequencies and create intense turbulence. Political and economic power cartels will try to stop the planetary renewal. People who have adapted to the old world will rebel against the new powers. For a while the collision will run through churches, schools and families. But it will not be possible to stop the overall process. It is supported by a change in moral thinking. The powers that carry the new world movement will no longer act with judgement and revenge to attacks. Enmity will no longer be answered with enmity, but through the strengthened connection with the new planetary frequency. The healing powers will prevail as they correspond to a higher cosmic matrix and are supported by the universe. Humankind is heading unavoidably towards a new unity. The frequency of arising planetary consciousness will be stronger than national or religious differences and stronger than all private interests.
DEEP ECOLOGY AND COOPERATION WITH ALL BEINGS
An interesting development in ecology will assert itself: cooperation with nature spirits, devas and many other ensouled beings which most humans have so far carelessly overlooked as they have not been able to perceive them. We will become collectively able to see these beings as human perception is energetically refined and rarified. A new kind of cooperation starts here. The human being does not have to do everything alone. Helpful powers abound, and are ready to cooperate if humans perceive and communicate with them. A whole army of helpers is ready to liberate the world from war. The cosmic powers of light which have been arriving on our planet for some time already signal their presence and willingness to help.
An essential aspect of the new dimension is the reintegration of human existence into the cycles of planetary life. This process has huge consequences for the development of future living conditions and water, energy and eco-systems. They are interconnected in a subtle-energetic context of information and energy which could not be seen so far in the mechanised world. Beings which were previously perceived as a nuisance, such as ants, snails, toads, rats and many more, are recognised as carriers of information and integrated into the new biotopes. They are natural cooperation partners of the human being on the path towards a healed planet. And they are, like the human being, organs of the whole of life. In this regard, human consciousness will receive a truly ethical impulse. One does not torture and kill organs which belong to the same body as oneself. The pain which the human being inflicts on his co-creatures comes back to him. Following a non- violent way of life is no longer a moral issue, but a core issue of self-preservation and self-healing.
WATER
The treatment of water will also change profoundly. Water is liquid life. Human beings will learn to purify and strengthen the life-forces of water and to use them as healing powers. Aquaculture in the new centres does not only serve to supply water and food, but also to supply healing life-information to the surrounding landscapes, as water is a central information carrier of the Earth. The flow of water – on and under the earth – serves the distribution of information fields and can naturally be used for the new in-formation of the whole Earth. The new ecology is planetary ecology. Part of this is the discovery of how water can arise through the combined action of earthly and cosmic powers. The times of water shortages, droughts and desertification will be over for ever when the human being learns to use the possibilities given by cooperation with nature.
NATURAL CATASTROPHES
In connection with the new planetary ecology there is a new relationship to natural catastrophes. In the rising consciousness for the unity of life, a key discovery prevails: the body of the Earth and the body of the human being are deeply connected with each other. Through the blockage and agitation of elementary (orgonotic) life energies, these bodies start to shake. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and floods in the case of the Earth – diseases, psychoses and violent excesses in the case of the human being. By reordering orgonotic energy patterns in the core human areas, especially cooperation between the genders, a new order arises for cooperation with all beings, also with the powers of earth, water and weather. We live in a unified energy system on Earth and in the universe. And therefore there is a clear direction for the avoidance of natural catastrophes: avoid human catastrophes! Liberate the human soul and the human body from the desperate conflicts of the past. Develop a new civilisation in which the earthly and the cosmic, the sensual and the spiritual energies can harmonise. The year 2012 will indicate a powerful start for this new level of evolution.
A NEW FIELD OF WOMEN'S POWER AND A NEW LOVE BETWEEN THE GENDERS
An essential part of the coming elevation of consciousness is the new role of the woman in human society. Neural changes will reveal collective patterns in female thinking and action which were present in highly developed archaic societies and which today return on a new level. It concerns a reconnection with the female source and female authority. To make the woman governable and compliant for patriarchy, her connection to the source had to be severed, her ancient sanctuaries destroyed, her natural relation to all co- creatures severed and her sexual wild nature domesticated. The sexual potency of a man could only unfold towards suppressed women. These structures still exist and resist all attempts at reform as long as their core is not recognised. They are a part of the collective trauma. It is in the nature of the present transformation that more and more women recognise these connections and no longer react with hatred and revenge. We see that within a few years a new women's field will extend over the Earth, in which women rediscover their entelechial role in creation and with gentle force break open their hardened structures to create new fields of power for love and for solidarity with all that lives. Men will experience the miracle of female acceptance and take off their macho costumes. They will no longer go to war. Maybe this is the deepest point that we can foresee: all war will be ended by ending the historical war between the genders. We will experience these things in the first half of the twenty-first century.
CONCLUSION
All these processes together lead to a basic paradigm shift in our thinking and actions. Science, religion, art and Eros, urban development, technology and ecology will look fundamentally different at the end of the twenty-first century than what they are at its beginning. The whole process brings light to bodily existence and the material world, which had become too dense. Now it is becoming more permeable, more transparent and more subtle. This is true for all matter, also for the human body. An ancient wisdom is revealing itself: the material world is not only ruled by physical energies but also by energies of the geist and soul, and can therefore be changed through geist. Humankind will become able to quickly and easily change material structures by the power of thought. A new movement for research and limitless discoveries is beginning, comparable with contemporary computer development. Bodies are no longer heavy because of the old trauma. Love has become a universal power. Its frequencies heal old wounds. The collective "no" to the impulses of life, originating from the long historic war will be replaced by a collective "yes". The collective amnesia will be dissolved by a collective process of remembering. Humankind will return to its common source on a higher level: to the deep connection with all that lives. Towards the one. As God acts in the connection of all beings.
The date 2012 also stands for the unification of powers of consciousness which so far could not find connection. As part of this trend towards unity, cosmic powers will connect with Earthly powers, powers of the geist with powers of the body, Marian powers with sexual powers, Christ powers with political powers, scientific powers with mythological powers, technical powers with powers of the art. From such new connections, those structures so far named “dissipative structures” by science will arise: new previously unknown compositions and syntheses. A new planetary community will develop from the synergy of the streams, consisting of many different elements of the Earth's inhabitants. The movement is already taking place. It consists of a connection between Eastern mysticism and Western science, Hopis and Europeans, shamans and modern hi-tech specialists, and between musicians in Sao Paolo, Lisbon, Jerusalem and Tamera. Very soon, places will develop on Earth where the models for a new planetary culture will arise from such connections. The information of such models will be spread over the Earth and lead to the establishment of many new centres. We see a shining network of such establishments across the Earth already by 2020, in which the foundations will definitely be laid for a new world without fear or war.

Mellen-Thomas Benedict is an artist who survived a near-death experience in 1982. He was dead for over an hour and a half after dying of cancer. At the time of his death, he rose up out of his body and went into the light. Curious about the universe, he was taken far into the remote depths of existence, and even beyond, into the energetic void of nothingness behind the Big Bang. During his experience, he was able to learn a great deal of information concerning reincarnation. Because of his near-death experience, he was able to bring back scientific discoveries. Mr. Benedict has been closely involved in the mechanics of cellular communication and research dealing with the relationship of light to life called Quantum Biology. This research is providing dramatic new perspectives on how biological systems work. Mr. Benedict has found that living cells can respond very quickly to light stimulation resulting in, among other things, high speed healing. He is a researcher, inventor and lecturer who holds six U.S. patents.
Several weeks after Benedict was born, he experienced a NDE when his bowels were ruptured. His body was tossed to one side as a corpse, yet much to everyone's surprise he later revived. As soon as he was big enough to grab hold of crayons, he started what became a compulsive urge to create symbolic renditions of the black/white yin/yang circles of Eastern religious thought. He has no memory of why he drew those particular symbols.
He spent his grade school years in a Catholic boarding school in Vermont, and was baptized in the Salvation Army religion as a youngster. He traveled extensively because of a military stepfather until the family finally settled down in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Then, Benedict was diagnosed as having inoperable cancer. He had retired from the frenzy of filmdom by then and was operating his own stained-glass studio. As his condition worsened, he spent more and more time with his art. One morning he awakened knowing he would die the next day, and he did. As the typical heaven-like scenario began to unfold, Benedict recognized what was happening as it was happening. The process was familiar to him because he had read many books about the near-death phenomenon previously.
Mr. Benedict's NDE is reprinted here by the permission of his friends Dr. Lee Worth Bailey and Jenny Yates. Their excellent book entitled The Near-Death Experience: A Reader, published by Routledge, New York, in 1996, is highly recommended by the webmaster. A portion of his near-death experience also appears in P.M.H. Atwater's book, Beyond the Light. Concerning Mellen's near-death experience, Dr. Ken Ring remarked, "His story is one of the most remarkable I have encountered in my extensive research on near-death experiences."

The Road to Death
In 1982 I died from terminal cancer. The condition I had was inoperable, and any kind of chemotherapy they could give me would just have made me more of a vegetable. I was given six to eight months to live. I had been an information freak in the 1970's, and I had become increasingly despondent over the nuclear crisis, the ecology crisis, and so forth. So, since I did not have a spiritual basis, I began to believe that nature had made a mistake, and that we were probably a cancerous organism on the planet. I saw no way that we could get out from all the problems we had created for ourselves and the planet. I perceived all humans as cancer, and that is what I got. That is what killed me. Be careful what your world view is. It can feed back on you, especially if it is a negative world view. I had a seriously negative one. That is what led me into my death. I tried all sorts of alternative healing methods, but nothing helped.
So I determined that this was really just between me and God. I had never really faced God before, or even dealt with God. I was not into any kind of spirituality at the time, but I began a journey into learning about spirituality and alternative healing. I set out to do all the reading I could and bone up on the subject, because I did not want to be surprised on the other side. So I started reading on various religions and philosophies. They were all very interesting, and gave hope that there was something on the other side.
On the other hand, as a self-employed stained-glass artist at the time, I had no medical insurance whatsoever. So my life savings went overnight in testing. Then I was facing the medical profession without any kind of insurance. I did not want to have my family dragged down financially, so I determined to handle this myself. There was not constant pain, but there were black-outs. I got so that I would not dare to drive, and eventually I ended up in hospice care. I had my own personal hospice caretaker. I was very blessed by this angel who went through the last part of this with me. I lasted about eighteen months. I did not want to take a lot of drugs, since I wanted to be as conscious as possible. Then I experienced such pain that I had nothing but pain in my consciousness, luckily only for a few days at a time.
The Light of God
I remember waking up one morning at home about 4:30 am, and I just knew that this was it. This was the day I was going to die. So I called a few friends and said goodbye. I woke up my hospice caretaker and told her. I had a private agreement with her that she would leave my dead body alone for six hours, since I had read that all kinds of interesting things happen when you die. I went back to sleep. The next thing I remember is the beginning of a typical near-death experience. Suddenly I was fully aware and I was standing up, but my body was in the bed. There was this darkness around me. Being out of my body was even more vivid than ordinary experience. It was so vivid that I could see every room in the house, I could see the top of the house, I could see around the house, I could see under the house.
There was this light shining. I turned toward the light. The light was very similar to what many other people have described in their near-death experiences. It was so magnificent. It is tangible; you can feel it. It is alluring; you want to go to it like you would want to go to your ideal mother's or father's arms.
As I began to move toward the light, I knew intuitively that if I went to the light, I would be dead.
So as I was moving toward the light I said, "Please wait a minute, just hold on a second here. I want to think about this; I would like to talk to you before I go."
To my surprise, the entire experience halted at that point. You are indeed in control of your near-death experience. You are not on a roller coaster ride. So my request was honored and I had some conversations with the light. The light kept changing into different figures, like Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, mandalas, archetypal images and signs.
I asked the light, "What is going on here? Please, light, clarify yourself for me. I really want to know the reality of the situation."
I cannot really say the exact words, because it was sort of telepathy. The light responded. The information transferred to me was that your beliefs shape the kind of feedback you are getting before the light. If you were a Buddhist or Catholic or Fundamentalist, you get a feedback loop of your own stuff. You have a chance to look at it and examine it, but most people do not.
As the light revealed itself to me, I became aware that what I was really seeing was our Higher Self matrix. The only thing I can tell you is that it turned into a matrix, a mandala of human souls, and what I saw was that what we call our Higher Self in each of us is a matrix. It's also a conduit to the Source; each one of us comes directly, as a direct experience from the Source. We all have a Higher Self, or an oversoul part of our being. It revealed itself to me in its truest energy form. The only way I can really describe it is that the being of the Higher Self is more like a conduit. It did not look like that, but it is a direct connection to the Source that each and every one of us has. We are directly connected to the Source.
So the light was showing me the Higher Self matrix. And it became very clear to me that all the Higher Selves are connected as one being, all humans are connected as one being, we are actually the same being, different aspects of the same being. It was not committed to one particular religion. So that is what was being fed back to me. And I saw this mandala of human souls. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I just went into it and, it was just overwhelming. It was like all the love you've every wanted, and it was the kind of love that cures, heals, regenerates.
As I asked the light to keep explaining, I understood what the Higher Self matrix is. We have a grid around the planet where all the Higher Selves are connected. This is like a great company, a next subtle level of energy around us, the spirit level, you might say.
Then, after a couple of minutes, I asked for more clarification. I really wanted to know what the universe is about, and I was ready to go at that time.
I said, "I am ready, take me."
Then the light turned into the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen: a mandala of human souls on this planet.
Now I came to this with my negative view of what has happened on the planet. So as I asked the light to keep clarifying for me, I saw in this magnificent mandala how beautiful we all are in our essence, our core. We are the most beautiful creations. The human soul, the human matrix that we all make together is absolutely fantastic, elegant, exotic, everything. I just cannot say enough about how it changed my opinion of human beings in that instant.
I said, "Oh, God, I did not know how beautiful we are."
At any level, high or low, in whatever shape you are in, you are the most beautiful creation, you are.
I was astonished to find that there was no evil in any soul.
I said, "How can this be?"
The answer was that no soul was inherently evil. The terrible things that happened to people might make them do evil things, but their souls were not evil. What all people seek, what sustains them, is love, the light told me. What distorts people is a lack of love.
The revelations coming from the light seemed to go on and on, then I asked the light, "Does this mean that humankind will be saved?"
Then, like a trumpet blast with a shower of spiraling lights, the Great Light spoke, saying, "Remember this and never forget; you save, redeem and heal yourself. You always have. You always will. You were created with the power to do so from before the beginning of the world."
In that instant I realized even more. I realized that WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN SAVED, and we saved ourselves because we were designed to self-correct like the rest of God's universe. This is what the second coming is about.
I thanked the light of God with all my heart. The best thing I could come up with was these simple words of totally appreciation:
"Oh dear God, dear Universe, dear Great Self, I love my life."
The light seemed to breathe me in even more deeply. It was as if the light was completely absorbing me. The love light is, to this day, indescribable. I entered into another realm, more profound than the last, and became aware of something more, much more. It was an enormous stream of light, vast and full, deep in the heart of life. I asked what this was.
The light responded, "This is the RIVER OF LIFE. Drink of this manna water to your heart's content."
So I did. I took one big drink and then another. To drink of life Itself! I was in ecstasy.
Then the light said, "You have a desire."
The light knew all about me, everything past, present and future.
"Yes!" I whispered.
I asked to see the rest of the universe; beyond our solar system, beyond all human illusion. The light then told me that I could go with the Stream. I did, and was carried through the light at the end of the tunnel. I felt and heard a series of very soft sonic booms. What a rush!
Suddenly I seemed to be rocketing away from the planet on this stream of life. I saw the Earth fly away. The solar system, in all its splendor, whizzed by and disappeared. At faster than light speed, I flew through the center of the galaxy, absorbing more knowledge as I went. I learned that this galaxy, and all of the universe, is bursting with many different varieties of LIFE. I saw many worlds. The good news is that we are not alone in this universe!
As I rode this stream of consciousness through the center of the galaxy, the stream was expanding in awesome fractal waves of energy. The super clusters of galaxies with all their ancient wisdom flew by. At first I thought I was going somewhere; actually traveling. But then I realized that, as the stream was expanding, my own consciousness was also expanding to take in everything in the universe! All creation passed by me. It was an unimaginable wonder! I truly was a wonder child; a babe in Wonderland!
It seemed as if all the creations in the universe soared by me and vanished in a speck of light. Almost immediately, a second light appeared. It came from all sides, and was so different; a light made up of more than every frequency in the universe.
I felt and heard several velvety sonic booms again. My consciousness, or being, was expanding to interface with the entire holographic universe and more.
As I passed into the second light, the awareness came to me that I had just transcended the truth. Those are the best words I have for it, but I will try to explain. As I passed into the second light, I expanded beyond the first light. I found myself in a profound stillness, beyond all silence. I could see or perceive FOREVER, beyond infinity. I was in the void. I was in pre-creation, before the Big Bang. I had crossed over the beginning of time - the first word - the first vibration. I was in the eye of creation. I felt as if I was touching the face of God. It was not a religious feeling. Simply I was at one with absolute life and consciousness.
When I say that I could see or perceive forever, I mean that I could experience all of creation generating itself. It was without beginning and without end. That's a mind-expanding thought, isn't it? Scientists perceive the Big Bang as a single event which created the universe. I saw that the Big Bang is only one of an infinite number of Big Bangs creating universes endlessly and simultaneously. The only images that even come close in human terms would be those created by supercomputers using fractal geometry equations.
The ancients knew of this. They said Godhead periodically created new universes by breathing out, and de-creating other universes by breathing in. These epochs were called yugas. Modern science called this the Big Bang. I was in absolute, pure consciousness. I could see or perceive all the Big Bangs or yugas creating and de-creating themselves. Instantly I entered into them all simultaneously. I saw that each and every little piece of creation has the power to create. It is very difficult to try to explain this. I am still speechless about this.
It took me years after I returned to assimilate any words at all for the void experience. I can tell you this now; the void is less than nothing, yet more than everything that is! The void is absolute zero; chaos forming all possibilities. It is absolute consciousness; much more than even universal intelligence.
Where is the void? I know. The void is inside and outside everything. You, right now even while you live, are always inside and outside the void simultaneously. You don't have to go anywhere or die to get there. The void is the vacuum or nothingness between all physical manifestations. The SPACE between atoms and their components. Modern science has begun to study this space between everything. They call it zero-point. Whenever they try to measure it, their instruments go off the scale, or to infinity, so to speak. They have no way, as of yet, to measure infinity accurately. There is more of the zero space in your own body and the universe than anything else!
What mystics call the void is not a void. It is so full of energy, a different kind of energy that has created everything that we are. Everything since the Big Bang is vibration, from the first word, which is the first vibration.
The Biblical "I am" really has a question mark after it.
"I am? What am I?"
So creation is God exploring God's Self through every way imaginable, in an ongoing, infinite exploration through every one of us. Through every piece of hair on your head, through every leaf on every tree, through every atom, God is exploring God's Self, the great "I am". I began to see that everything that is, is the Self, literally, your Self, my Self. Everything is the great Self. That is why God knows even when a leaf falls. That is possible because wherever you are is the center of the universe. Wherever any atom is, that is the center of the universe. There is God in that, and God in the void.
As I was exploring the void and all the yugas or creations, I was completely out of time and space as we know it. In this expanded state, I discovered that creation is about absolute pure consciousness, or God, coming into the experience of life as we know it. The void itself is devoid of experience. It is pre-life, before the first vibration. Godhead is about more than life and death. Therefore there is even more than life and death to experience in the universe!
I was in the void and I was aware of everything that had ever been created. It was like I was looking out of God's eyes. I had become God. Suddenly I wasn't me anymore. The only thing I can say, I was looking out of God's eyes. And suddenly I knew why every atom was, and I could see everything.
The interesting point was that I went into the void, I came back with this understanding that God is not there. God is here. That's what it is all about. So this constant search of the human race to go out and find God ... God gave everything to us, everything is here - this is where it's at. And what we are into now is God's exploration of God through us. People are so busy trying to become God that they ought to realize that we are already God and God is becoming us. That's what it is really about.
When I realized this, I was finished with the void, and wanted to return to this creation, or yuga. It just seemed like the natural thing to do.
Then I suddenly came back through the second light, or the Big Bang, hearing several more velvet booms. I rode the stream of consciousness back through all of creation, and what a ride it was! The superclusters of galaxies came through me with even more insights. I passed through the center of our galaxy, which is a black hole. Black holes are the great processors or recyclers of the universe. Do you know what is on the other side of a black hole? We are; our galaxy; which has been reprocessed from another universe.
In its total energy configuration, the galaxy looked like a fantastic city of lights. All energy this side of the Big Bang is light. Every sub-atom, atom, star, planet, even consciousness itself is made of light and has a frequency and/or particle. Light is living stuff. Everything is made of light, even stones. So everything is alive. Everything is made from the light of God; everything is very intelligent.
The Light of Love
As I rode the stream on and on, I could eventually see a huge light coming. I knew it was the first light; the Higher Self light matrix of our solar system. Then the entire solar system appeared in the light, accompanied by one of those velvet booms.
I saw that the solar system we live in is our larger, local body. This is our local body and we are much bigger than we imagine. I saw that the solar system is our body. I am a part of this, and the Earth is this great created being that we are, and we are the part of it that knows that it is. But we are only that part of it. We are not everything, but we are that part of it that knows that it is.
I could see all the energy that this solar system generates, and it is an incredible light show! I could hear the music of the spheres. Our solar system, as do all celestial bodies, generates a unique matrix of light, sound and vibratory energies. Advanced civilizations from other star systems can spot life as we know it in the universe by the vibratory or energy matrix imprint. It is child's play. The Earth's wonder child (human beings) make an abundance of sound right now, like children playing in the backyard of the universe.
I rode the stream directly into the center of the light. I felt embraced by the light as it took me in with its breath again, followed by another soft sonic boom.
I was in this great light of love with the stream of life flowing through me. I have to say again, it is the most loving, non-judgmental light. It is the ideal parent for this wonder child.
"What now?" I wondered.
The light explained to me that there is no death; we are immortal beings. We have already been alive forever! I realized that we are part of a natural living system that recycles itself endlessly. I was never told that I had to come back. I just knew that I would. It was only natural, from what I had seen.
I don't know how long I was with the light, in human time. But there came a moment when I realized that all my questions had been answered and my return was near. When I say that all my questions were answered on the other side, I mean to say just that. All my questions have been answered. Every human has a different life and set of questions to explore. Some of our questions are universal, but each of us is exploring this thing we call life in our own unique way. So is every other form of life, from mountains to every leaf on every tree.
And that is very important to the rest of us in this universe. Because it all contributes to the Big Picture, the fullness of life. We are literally God exploring God's Self in an infinite Dance of Life. Your uniqueness enhances all of life.
His Return to Earth
As I began my return to the life cycle, it never crossed my mind, nor was I told, that I would return to the same body. It just did not matter. I had complete trust in the light and the life process. As the stream merged with the great light, I asked never to forget the revelations and the feelings of what I had learned on the other side.
There was a "Yes." It felt like a kiss to my soul.
Then I was taken back through the light into the vibratory realm again. The whole process reversed, with even more information being given to me. I came back home, and I was given lessons on the mechanics of reincarnation. I was given answers to all those little questions I had:
"How does this work? How does that work?" I knew that I would be reincarnated.
The Earth is a great processor of energy, and individual consciousness evolves out of that into each one of us. I thought of myself as a human for the first time, and I was happy to be that. From what I have seen, I would be happy to be an atom in this universe. An atom. So to be the human part of God ... this is the most fantastic blessing. It is a blessing beyond our wildest estimation of what blessing can be. For each and every one of us to be the human part of this experience is awesome, and magnificent. Each and every one of us, no matter where we are, screwed up or not, is a blessing to the planet, right where we are.
So I went through the reincarnation process expecting to be a baby somewhere. But I was given a lesson on how individual identity and consciousness evolve. So I reincarnated back into this body.
I was so surprised when I opened my eyes. I do not know why, because I understood it, but it was still such a surprise to be back in this body, back in my room with someone looking over me crying her eyes out. It was my hospice caretaker. She had given up an hour and a half after finding me dead. She was sure I was dead; all the signs of death were there - I was getting stiff. We do not know how long I was dead, but we do know that it was an hour and a half since I was found. She honored my wish to have my newly dead body left alone for a few hours as much as she could. We had an amplified stethoscope and many ways of checking out the vital functions of the body to see what was happening. She can verify that I really was dead.
It was not a near-death experience. I experienced death itself for at least an hour and a half. She found me dead and checked the stethoscope, blood pressure and heart rate monitor for an hour and a half. Then I awakened and saw the light outside. I tried to get up to go to it, but I fell out of the bed. She heard a loud "clunk", ran in and found me on the floor.
When I recovered, I was very surprised and yet very awed about what had happened to me. At first all the memory of the trip that I have now was not there. I kept slipping out of this world and kept asking, "Am I alive?" This world seemed more like a dream than that one.
Within three days, I was feeling normal again, clearer, yet different than I had ever felt in my life. My memory of the journey came back later. I could see nothing wrong with any human being I had ever seen. Before that I was really judgmental. I thought a lot of people were really screwed up, in fact I thought that everybody was screwed up but me. But I got clear on all that.
About three months later a friend said I should get tested, so I went and got the scans and so forth. I really felt good, so I was afraid of getting bad news.
I remember the doctor at the clinic looking at the before and after scans, saying, "Well, there is nothing here now."
I said, "Really, it must be a miracle?"
He said, "No, these things happen, they are called spontaneous remission."
He acted very unimpressed. But here was a miracle, and I was impressed, even if no one else was.
The Lessons He Learned
The mystery of life has very little to do with intelligence. The universe is not an intellectual process at all. The intellect is helpful; it is brilliant, but right now that is all we process with, instead of our hearts and the wiser part of ourselves.
The center of the Earth is this great transmuter of energy, just as you see in pictures of our Earth's magnetic field. That's our cycle, pulling reincarnated souls back in and through it again. A sign that you are reaching human level is that you are beginning to evolve an individual consciousness. The animals have a group soul, and they reincarnate in group souls. A deer is pretty much going to be a deer forever. But just being born a human, whether deformed or genius, shows that you are on the path to developing an individual consciousness. That is in itself part of the group consciousness called humanity.
I saw that races are personality clusters. Nations like France, Germany and China each have their own personality. Cities have personalities, their local group souls that attract certain people. Families have group souls. Individual identity is evolving like branches of a fractal; the group soul explores in our individuality. The different questions that each of us has are very, very important. This is how Godhead is exploring God's Self - through you. So ask your questions, do your searching. You will find your Self and you will find God in that Self, because it is only the Self.
More than that, I began to see that each one of us humans are soul mates. We are part of the same soul fractaling out in many creative directions, but still the same. Now I look at every human being that I ever see, and I see a soul mate, my soul mate, the one I have always been looking for. Beyond that, the greatest soul mate that you will ever have is yourself. We are each both male and female. We experience this in the womb and we experience this in reincarnation states. If you are looking for that ultimate soul mate outside of yourself, you may never find it; it is not there. Just as God is not "there." God is here. Don't look "out there" for God. Look here for God. Look through your Self. Start having the greatest love affair you ever had ... with your Self. You will love everything out of that.
I went over to the other side with a lot of fears about toxic waste, nuclear missiles, the population explosion, the rainforest. I came back loving every single problem. I love nuclear waste. I love the mushroom cloud; this is the holiest mandala that we have manifested to date, as an archetype. It, more than any religion or philosophy on Earth, brought us together all of a sudden, to a new level of consciousness. Knowing that maybe we can blow up the planet fifty times, or 500 times, we finally realize that maybe we are all here together now. For a period they had to keep setting off more bombs to get it in to us. Then we started saying, "We do not need this any more."
Now we are actually in a safer world than we have ever been in, and it is going to get safer. So I came back loving toxic waste, because it brought us together. These things are so big. As Peter Russell might say, these problems are now "soul size." Do we have soul size answers? YES!
The clearing of the rain forest will slow down, and in fifty years there will be more trees on the planet than in a long time. If you are into ecology, go for it; you are that part of the system that is becoming aware. Go for it with all your might, but do not be depressed. It is part of a larger thing.
Earth is in the process of domesticating itself. It is never again going to be as wild a place as it once was. There will be great wild places, reserves where nature thrives. Gardening and reserves will be the thing in the future. Population increase is getting very close to the optimal range of energy to cause a shift in consciousness. That shift in consciousness will change politics, money, energy.
What happens when we dream? We are multi-dimensional beings. We can access that through lucid dreaming. In fact, this universe is God's dream. One of the things that I saw is that we humans are a speck on a planet that is a speck in a galaxy that is a speck. Those are giant systems out there, and we are in sort of an average system. But human beings are already legendary throughout the cosmos of consciousness. The little bitty human being of Earth/Gaia is legendary. One of the things that we are legendary for is dreaming. We are legendary dreamers. In fact, the whole cosmos has been looking for the meaning of life, the meaning of it all. And it was the little dreamer who came up with the best answer ever. We dreamed it up. So dreams are important.
After dying and coming back, I really respect life and death. In our DNA experiments we may have opened the door to a great secret. Soon we will be able to live as long as we want to live in this body. After living 150 years or so, there will be an intuitive soul sense that you will want to change channels. Living forever in one body is not as creative as reincarnation, as transferring energy in this fantastic vortex of energy that we are in. We are actually going to see the wisdom of life and death, and enjoy it.
As it is now, we have already been alive forever. This body that you are in, has been alive forever. It comes from an unending stream of life, going back to the Big Bang and beyond. This body gives life to the next life, in dense and subtle energy. This body has been alive forever already.
