Subject: Comments and news on all kinds of things
Hello everyone
Information on a wide variety of issues keeps piling up in my InBox and I have a hard
time keeping up (currenly over 2700 untreated emails in my InBox!). Talk about an
infoglut... Anyway, I'm doing my best to compile and forward what appears to be the
most important stuff. I also hope to have for you soon a transcript of my radio interview.
And of course, as usual I'm simultaneously preparing a number of compilation emails
for you that will keep you informed on the major issues we have been following for
some time.
I've included below some feedbacks received (thanks again!) and a copy of a couple
personal correspondances that should be of interest to many of you.

Dear Jean,
With reference to the following topic in your latest mail:
Myth No. 10 - GE crops will save the world from famine.
FACT: A major cause of famine is the unequal global distribution of food.
Food mountains exist in much of the western world and food is regularly
dumped. Poor people have limited ability to buy either GE or non-GE food.
There is no evidence that GE crops produce higher yields than conventional
crops or that GE products will be cheaper.
As an agricultural researcher with more than 20 years experience in Eastern
and Southern Africa, I can assure you that GE crops are absolutely
irrelevant to this part of the world (and the rest of the world for that
matter). In East Africa many varieties of, for example, maize are available
which under research station conditions produce 7-8 tons/ha, while the
average yield level of maize here with millions of smallholders is 1.5-2
tons/ha. If these smallholders would double their maize yield levels (for
which one does not need GE crops at all), then maize would be in abundant
supply. The argument that GE crops are needed to feed the world is
absolutely nonsense.
Moreover, to my mind GE crops are more dangerous than nuclear energy since
any mistakes or side-effects will be irreversible. Once released in the
eco-system, there is no way to get GE organisms back in the laboratory.

Subject: Lightworkers: Pls. use your powers prudently
Hi Jean -
Last week was a pretty intense one for me... started out energetic and then got frenetic
-- like there was a lot of activity going on -- too much for me to track or keep
tabs on or assimilate gracefully. I had some similar observations from other lightworker friends who felt the surge last week, too.
Drummed over the weekend and stepped away from the city for 48 hours, and that helped,
but something else occurred to me...
On the Internet, I've been seeing calls going out to people to join up with lightwork
and/or earth gridwork, starting last week, or the week prior. And when I asked my
guidance if the intense (and sometimes frantic) energies I was feeling were related
to the work going on, I got a clear "Yes". I get the impression that people are really
"blasting" situations they perceive as negative with high-intensity energies, not
remembering that "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction". So,
remember, when you send high amounts of light (esp. white light) to situations, you can be
heightening the reaction of what we perceive as darkness. Swinging to extremes is
sometimes necessary, but volatility can be quite a challenge to deal with ;)
I would like to put out a request to everyone engaged in intense lightwork, these
days, to please be considerate of others who might be affected by the work they're
doing. I don't know about anyone else out there, but I need to incorporate the new
information and energies with grace and ease, and prefer to not get into cataclysmic events
to learn my necessary lessons. I'm of the belief that suffering is optional, and
if we pay close enough attention, the need for suffering and drama decreases dramatically. Those who are getting into fear about our planet's situation and "forcing the issue"
with strong lightworking reactions may or may not be helping in the long run. Consider
the situation of East Timor and Pakistan/India -- I heard jubilation several months ago about how all the light people were sending, was helping the situations there.
Now look at them... warfare, strife, contention, death and destruction everywhere...
We need to be very, very careful in how we use our tools, and respect their power.
I believe that few of us humans truly understand our power, and many of us have
been numbed to the subtle effects of the energies we put out. So, I'm asking that
people be mindful in their employ of LIGHT, and remember, we're not doing this all by ourselves,
and no, we are not alone! No fear.

Dear Kay
I'll include your comment in a coming series of feedbacks so you'll see if others
share your concern.
Regarding the fact that you sensed some frantic energies going on last week, I saw
a channeling perhaps related to this yesterday, but I cannot locate it now. It said,
I think, that following the last solstice's wave of energy, some residual energy
will remain active up to January 1st 2000.
But frankly, I personally believe much of those interpretations of world events and
the effect our collective meditations can have and how it can all be felt within
is very much a matter of subjective perception unique to each person. If someone
is somehow in synch with some energy pattern, them one may feel it while others won't.
But - if I understand you correctly, in asking other Lightworkers to not react too
much and send less Light so that less negative reactions ensue, because you don't
want to be personally engulfed in those reactions and thus suffer, perhaps there
is some measure of fear here on your part to request such a thing...
On the other hand, it is true that when our motivation to meditate and send out Light
energies is on an "ad hoc" basis and merely in reaction to outer events -- as opposed
to someone who meditates regularly no matter what happens and simply follows the
inner guidance appropriately focussing his/her meditative work towards the optimal targets
and thoughts at that given moment, and not as a reaction to perceived outer threats
and events -- then, in the first instance, it can indeed create a kind of rollercoaster effect which might not be conducive to the best results in the outer worlds.
Our most powerful contribution to world healing and evolution at any time is simply
*who we are* and the bottom-line natural state of being we generally resonate to.
"There is nothing to do but to BE" has been my motto and inner understanding for
many years. When we are in the "doing" mode, it is mostly the ego that is trying to drive the
game, whereas when we are in the "being" mode, it is mainly the inner Divine soul
that is radiating its all-encompassing frequency of Love which naturally soothes
and heals everything and guide us onto the best path of action, the ideal wording and the
optimal thinking and feeling.
If you think of it, there is not much we can *do* to change others, what they choose
to do and how things evolve around the world. Try even to convince your life partner
or your child to do your will instead of his/her will. It is really futile, isn't
it. However, we have complete "control" (not ego-driven control which is pushy, dominating
and even self-destructive, but soul-driven control which can be more like a sweet
melody/fragrance/feeling-of-bliss gently attracting us towards the highest goals
attainable at that point in time) over how we choose to react to our perception our things
going on within and around us.
And often this choice comes down to either letting fear overcoming us or letting the
gentle pull of love and acceptance guide us.

P.S. In another response to another ERN friend recently, I had these thoughts which
might also present a useful perspective to you (and others) to consider.
In response to someone who was experiencing a feeling of senselessness with regard
to life on Terra Gaia, I had this comment:
Rest assured: there is *always* a hidden meaning, a deeper purpose to all that happens
and, as we all ought to know when we walk the Lighted Path, there are never any such
things as chance coincidences. Life is a purposefully set stage for the great drama
of learning through karmic lessons and it is a marvelously precise divine design that
presides over every aspect of the "chance" occurences of life.
I know an intellectual reassurance won't make much of a difference to you as you "bathe"
in the emotional turmoil of this situation - on top of all the previous ones. But
one thing sure, there is a reason for this event however senseless it may appear,
not only a spiritual karmic reason, but also certainly a psychological one.
I could also mention the hunch that during the epochal time of Change we are going
through right now, we can expect to see more and more acts of extreme senselessness
- like the slaughtering of children in an LA kindergarden recently - as the heightening
vibrations of divine consciousness engulfing the world are pushing, willy, nilly, those
not fit or unable to adapt to the growing Light within to kill themselves and unfortunately
- but yet also part of the Great evolutionary Drama of Life in the physical realm - bringing down others around them as part of their dramatic outing of this existence.
This may sound like an extreme statement that the Power of the Light may make some
people commit such atrocities on themselves and others, but it is only a reflection of the eternal battle between the chaos of Darkness and the harmony of Light. The
ego, which epitomizes all that want to resist and cling and dominate in us all humans,
is sometimes resorting to maiming or killing the very body hosting its illusory existence when confronted with the fact that something more powerful and compellingly
irresistible, albeit infinitely gentle and good as WE know, is taking over its cherished
control over this body.
Of course nothing is clearly cut out like that in the mind of the despairing ego/persona
and it's only a growing feeling of uneasiness deep within that symptomatically brings
awareness that control is slipping away. And just like a drowning person may, in
a panick, push below the surface of the water the very person that came to his/her
rescue, the soul that is disoriented amidst the swiftly changing vibrations and paradigm
of today may become completely lost and push itself below the surface of normalcy
out of an inability to understand what is going on and to trust that all is well and
will eventually turn out OK.
And regarding the notion that people on a spiritual path may draw to them negative
forces, I think it is only a delusion - I was tempted to write "baloney" first -
of the mind that is trying to explain the apparently unexplainable with black and
white and slightly superstitious "logic". I would rather say that progressing along towards
more and more spiritual awareness and soul-infused wisdom, the awakening seeker will
necessarily find on his/her path the needed tests and trials to allow him-herself
to apply the newly found wisdom and spiritual strenght to whatever may happen, bad of good,
in his/her life. Unless we are tested in the "fire" of "real" life experiences, our
inner resolve to seek comfort and understanding within the sacred temple of our living
soul will go, well... untested, and its reach and influence over our split-second
decisions and the very flow of our thoughts and emotions would remain entirely theoretical.
That is why it is such a priviledge to live within a dense body on such a dense planetary field of Life and to be faced with all the multitudinous facets of life on
planet Earth.
A tip might be in order here. Our soul if our buoyant and unsinkable "lifebelt" to
which we need to learn to direct our conscious attention when we are tossed in the
sea of apparently "terrible" situations. In fact, we need to center the very seat
of our conscious awareness in the remembrance and inner Knowledge that WE ARE a living, sentient
and divine Spark of God embodied for an infinitely short span of time of a human
existence - as compared to the eternity of Our infinite Existence - and we have to
*choose* to stop focussing on the ethereal drama born of the human shortsighted paradigm
nurtured by our spiritually blind culture that mostly considers and depicts death
as the end of it all and so abhor the very idea of death - while being fascinated
by it in all kinds of sick manners as exemplified by the slew of violent and horrific movies
produced by Hollywood - that most people spend most of their life avoiding to consider
the basic fact that the moment we are born, we start rushing headlong towards the
inevitable death that meets the end of our short experience in this world - a death
which is in fact merely a transition towards another level of existence and awareness
that mainly reflects what we have focussed our consciousness on while we were down
here.
So, in short, if we want to end *up* more conscious of our divine natural inheritance
at the moment of our transition from this sphere of brute testing of our spiritual
skills, we better choose right away to focus our attention on the higher parts of
the spiritual awareness scale rather than the lower ones...
And this is a choice we have to make in every waking moment we walk this land of ephemereal
terror and bliss.
Cheer up. You-WE are not/never alone in our Quest for more Light and Love, for WE
ARE the Light and LOVE emanating from within the infinite Presence that is all over
us and inside the very fabric of our Beingness.

Here in the islands,and for much of asia, fleeting eye contact is favored
as a humble expression of honoring the other. A person who stares, can be
seen as a bumbling, ill-mannered child, who conceitedly and unabashedly
crosses the boundary of the soul uninvited. Ahhh, another god/ess loved
paradox! Perhaps it is best to be slow to judgment after all...if at all.
And thank you so much for championing the DON'T LFAS cause. We here know
what it means to stand in opposition to the desires of the military, and
speaking for myself, it feels really nice to know there are others out
there helping.

There have been so many things floating and flying around the web of late,
some of which have been down right hoaxes. When I see the word "fact" in
any posting, I want to know the source. It is the same with making any
statement which can be proven: supply the source so that anyone can check it
out. Therefore, though I am sure that these reports on the Genetic
Engineering are "facts", I do have to take it with a grain of salt until I
see some really convincing "back up of information".

Hello all,
Some people think it has all ready happened. Others think that on
October 12, 1999, an event never before experienced in all of human
history will take place. Whichever date you subscribe to, the fact is
that the population of planet Earth can now be tallied at six billion
people. No one really knows whether we should celebrate or mourn. Are
there really too many people on Earth or are there just too many greedy
people?
Most population analysts agree that assuming that we have too many
people because of the large numbers is too simplistic an analysis. The
critical factor may be where those people choose to live and how they
choose to consume resources. See this problem discussed in this week's

There are vast areas of our planet largely devoid of people. Most people
cluster at major urban centers and consume orders of magnitude more

I don't know in what papers this originally appeared, as I got it from Yahoo
as you can see, but this IS interesting... (no, not what the CIA "SAYS"...)
The article, if anything confirms my beliefs and would certainly explain why
they've been "bombing" us (those of us who live in the affected areas) for
the past month - - just more business as usual for the government - - this
time with about 30+ (NYC alone has 12.5M) million of us as the guinea pigs.

1. Conscription Protest in Russia
Activists of the Anti-militarist Radical Association collected nearly 300
signatures under the slogan "The third millennium - without conscription
slavery". The action took place simultaneously on 21 June on Moscow's
Pushkin Square and in St. Petersburg. The signatures are to be sent to the
Russian parliament to voice support of a bill which would abolish the
military conscription system as it presently exists. Activists from
Volgograd, Pskov, Ekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk have also staged actions of

I enjoy reading the information sent through the list and was curious. Some
postings mention that news in the U.S. is filtered and monitored, etc. Can
you recommend a website with "the truth", if there is such a thing? I
realize you're passing on some of this information, but I wondered if there
were a source on the web for unadulterated news.

Dear Susan
THE Truth is obviously something absolutely relative. The truth for one person won't
be the same for another. Our personal bias and conceptions - our paradigm - filter
everything reaching us is a way that what does not conform to our world view is systematically rejected.
So I cannot recommend you such a site.
However here is what I may suggest to you if you are in doubt when faced with some
unverifiable information. I never had time to visit those sites. Let me know if you
find them useful.
