"In “Four Years Ago Today”, peace activist, and Wiccan witch Starhawk, now a columnist for “Newsweek” magazine, discusses the current state of the American peace movement and recalls the tragic death of American peace activist Rachel Corrie at the hands of the Israeli Defense Forces in Palestine. Starhawk was in Palestine at the time, working for peace, and Rachel’s death affected her deeply.

“I cry now, every spring, here in California as the daffodils bloom and the plum trees flower,” Starhawk says. “The beauty of spring is forever tinged, for me, with the grief and wonder and horror of that time. . .

“I cry, and then I get I mad. Four years have gone by, and the killing still goes on—in Palestine, in Iraq, and if Bush has his way, in Iran. Ghosts haunt the green hills, shimmering like heat waves under an unnaturally hot sun: all the uncounted dead of this uncalled-for war, all those yet to die.

“I’ve got a garden to plant, and a thousand things I’d rather do, but once again this spring, I’m gearing up for action. The peace marches have become boring, strident and predictable. To be absolutely honest, I hate marching around in the street chanting the same slogans I’ve been chanting for forty years. I’m going, anyway. I’m so tired of die-ins and sit-ins and predictable speeches shouted over bullhorns that I could scream if I weren’t hearing in my ears the far more bitter screams of the dying. I’m even tired of trying to drum and sing and make the protest into a creative act of magic. It’s not creative—it’s a damn protest, and I have real creative work to do: books to write, courses to teach, and rituals to plan. Nonetheless, Sunday will find me trudging along on the peace march and Monday will find me lying down on Market Street in some picturesque fashion with a group of friends and our requisite banners.

The US is planning to attack Iran's nuclear reactors and other nuclear facilities by the end of this month, the Kuwait-based Arab Times newspaper reported Wednesday. Citing anonymous sources in Washington, it said that various White House departments had started preparing the political speech to be delivered by the US president later this month, announcing the military attack on Iran. The speech will provide the 'evidence' and the 'justification' for the US to resort to the military option after failing to persuade Tehran to give up its nuclear ambitions, said the report. According to the Times, one of the justifications expected in the speech is Iran's alleged role in the killing of American soldiers in Iraq by supporting various militias with money and arms. The US president's speech will also point to Iran's political interference in Iraq, obviously in cooperation with Syria. The sources were quoted as saying that US will not resort to a ground attack in order to avoid human losses.

He also said the U.S. Naval presence in the Persian Gulf has for the first time in the past four years reached the level that existed shortly before the invasion of Iraq in March 2003.Col.-Gen. Leonid Ivashov, vice president of the Academy of Geopolitical Sciences, said last week that the Pentagon is planning to deliver a massive air strike on Iran's military infrastructure in the near future. A new U.S. carrier battle group has been dispatched to the Gulf. The USS John C. Stennis, with a crew of 3,200 and around 80 fixed-wing aircraft, including F/A-18 Hornet and Superhornet fighter-bombers, eight support ships and four nuclear submarines are heading for the Gulf, where a similar group led by the USS Dwight D. Iran's leaders seem intent on picking fights with the West. But, say David Blair and Damien McElroy, behind the poverty and paranoia of this fundamentalist regime is a young, educated and quietly rebellious population that is desperate to join the rest of the world (...) The young are a vital constituency in a country where more than half the population is aged under 25 and 16-year-olds are allowed to vote. Most Iranians have no memory of the revolution and want nothing more than to join the rest of the world. Students in Teheran listen to Western music and watch pirated DVDs of Hollywood films. Street vendors sell revealing posters of pop stars such as Britney Spears. Boys dress in jeans, while girls do their utmost to get around the strict dress codes of the Islamic Republic. (...) In middle-class neighbourhoods, families get around the dreary fare offered by state television by using illicit satellite dishes. These conduits of Western culture are officially banned, but countless dishes can be seen on Teheran's smarter apartment blocks. Almost everyone in the city either has satellite television or knows someone who does. The authorities once ignored the fact that millions of Iranians watch the scantily clad models of Fashion TV and the Hollywood pulp served up by the movie channels. But, again, under Mr Ahmadinejad, the rules are being enforced. There have even been reports of satellite dishes being torn from the walls of the more upmarket residences. Subverting Iran: Washington's Covert War inside Iran (March 23, 2007)

Much attention has been given to the Bush Administration's preparations for possible war against Iran as well as its drive to impose sanctions. Meanwhile, a less noticed policy has been unfolding, one that may in time prove to have grave consequences for the region. There is a covert war underway in Iran, still in its infancy, but with disturbing signs of impending escalation. In the shadowy world of guerrilla operations, the full extent of involvement by the Bush Administration has yet to be revealed, but enough is known to paint a disturbing picture. The provision of aid to anti-government forces offers certain advantages to the Bush Administration. No effort needs to be expended in winning support for the policy. Operations can be conducted away from the public eye during a time of growing domestic opposition to the war in Iraq, and international opinion is simply irrelevant where the facts are not well known. In terms of expenditures, covert operations are a cost-effective means for destabilizing a nation, relative to waging war. There is nothing new in the technique, and it has proven an effective means for toppling foreign governments in the past, as was the case with socialist Afghanistan and Nicaragua. In Yugoslavia, U.S. and British military training and arms shipments helped to build up the secessionist Kosovo Liberation Army from a small force of 300 soldiers into a sizable guerrilla army that made the province of Kosovo ungovernable. The very chaos that the West did so much to create was then used as the pretext for bombing Yugoslavia. According to a former CIA official, funding for armed separatist groups operating in Iran is paid from the CIA's classified budget. The aim of the raid, launched without informing the Kurdish authorities, was to seize two men at the very heart of the Iranian security establishment. The agribusiness biotech conglomerates, which constitute a powerful lobby in Washington, are behind the biofuel industry, which is the recipient of billions of dollars of US government subsidies. The biofuel industry is dominated by a handful of large companies including Arch Daniels Midland (ADM). "The enormous volume of corn required by the ethanol industry is sending shock waves through the food system" ultimately leading to higher international prices of major grain staples. The article concludes that the shift towards biofuel will contribute to dramatically increasing the incidence of hunger and undernourishment in developing countries. "The world's poorest people already spend 50 to 80 percent of their total household income on food. For the many among them who are landless laborers or rural subsistence farmers, large increases in the prices of staple foods will mean malnutrition and hunger. Some of them will tumble over the edge of subsistence into outright starvation, and many more will die from a multitude of hunger-related diseases." It is worth noting that Fidel Castro, in a recent article focusing on the transformation of food into fuel, arrives, from a different perspective, at broadly the same conclusion. Fidel Castro describes the biofuel industry as a "colossal squandering of cereals destined to fuel production" which undermines the broad objective of combating poverty and famine in the developing World. (...) With the price of raw materials at such highs, the biofuel craze would place significant stress on other parts of the agricultural sector. In fact, it already does. In the United States, the growth of the biofuel industry has triggered increases not only in the prices of corn, oilseeds, and other grains but also in the prices of seemingly unrelated crops and products. The use of land to grow corn to feed the ethanol maw is reducing the acreage devoted to other crops. Food processors who use crops such as peas and sweet corn have been forced to pay higher prices to keep their supplies secure -- costs that will eventually be passed on to consumers. Rising feed prices are also hitting the livestock and poultry industries. According to Vernon Eidman, a professor emeritus of agribusiness management at the University of Minnesota, higher feed costs have caused returns to fall sharply, especially in the poultry and swine sectors. If returns continue to drop, production will decline, and the prices for chicken, turkey, pork, milk, and eggs will rise. A number of Iowa's pork producers could go out of business in the next few years as they are forced to compete with ethanol plants for corn supplies. It was reported on Indonesian TV yesterday that a white unmarked twin-engined prop-plane with a pale blue spraying device crash-landed on a new (and as yet uninhabited) housing estate in Ciputat, West Java. The pilot and co-pilot both survived but are in a critical condition and one other person on board was reported dead. All were said to be Indonesian nationals. The TV crew at the scene (which was hastily cordoned-off) reported police as expressing surprise at the plane's lack of identification markings and said that an investigation was underway. On September 11 2001, as the eyes of the nation were focused on the gruesome events at the World Trade Center, the networks interrupted their coverage in New York with a breaking story from Washington. A large plane had just been sighted over the White House. Exactly when it first appeared is not certain, but the reports aired at about the time of the pentagon strike, or just before. Witnesses who saw the mystery plane say it circled over Washington. CNN's Senior White House correspondent John King saw it while standing in Lafayette Park, directly across from the White House. King reported live that "about 10 minutes ago, there was a white jet circling overhead. Now, you generally don't see planes in the area over the White House. That is restricted air space. No reason to believe that this jet was there for any nefarious purposes, but the Secret Service was very concerned, pointing up at the jet in the sky." (...) As I've noted, in the video the plane makes a banking turn. The angle is fortunate, because it brought the plane's unique features and markings into plain view. There can be no doubt as to the plane's identity. The aircraft belonged to the US Air Force. Moreover, this was no ordinary plane. It was an E-4B, the US military's most advanced electronics platform. Even a casual comparison shows that the still-shot from the docudrama matches an official photo (see below) of the E-4B, from a USAF web site.[7] There can be no mistake. (...) Moreover, this was no ordinary plane. It was an E-4B usually follows behind the presidential entourage. Unlike Air Force One, however, the E-4B can be refueled in midair and so has considerably greater range. For this reason, when the president goes abroad on long trips he occasionally flies on an E-4B to save travel time. The plane also doubles as a mobile office for the Secretary of Defense. Recently, for example, when the newly appointed Defense Secretary Robert Gates traveled to London for talks with Prime Minister Tony Blair, he rode on an E-4B. According to various reports, his predecessor, Donald Rumsfeld, often used the plane, and much preferred it. (...) All of which raises disturbing questions. Why did the Joint Chiefs change the date of Global Guardian in 2001? Even more importantly, why was the world's most sophisticated electronics warfare plane circling over Washington at the time of the September 11 attack? Recently, when the investigator who contacted me filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) concerning the presence of the E-4B over Washington on 9/11, the FAA responded that it "had no knowledge" of such a plane. My contact also shared the basic information presented in this article with his Congressman, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), and requested that he look into the matter. Bush's statements about the Iraq war, they might look into one of his most startling assertions: that there was a link between Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden. Critics dismissed that as an invention. They were wrong. There was a link, but not the one Bush was selling. The link between Hussein and Bin Laden was their banker, BCCI. But the link went beyond the dictator and the jihadist -- it passed through Saudi Arabia and stretched all the way to George W. Bush and his father. BCCI was the Bank of Credit and Commerce International, a dirty offshore bank that then-President Ronald Reagan's Central Intelligence Agency used to run guns to Hussein, finance Osama bin Laden, move money in the illegal Iran-Contra operation and carry out other "agency" black ops. Bush's executive overreach recently learned that he had been added to the Transportation Security Administration's terrorist watchlist. He shared his experience this weekend at the law blog Balkinization.Walter F. Murphy, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence, Emeritus, at Princeton University, attempted to check his luggage at the curbside in Albuquerque before boarding a plane to Newark, New Jersey. Murphy was told he could not use the service. "I was denied a boarding pass because I was on the Terrorist Watch list," he said. When inquiring with a clerk why he was on the list, Murphy was asked if he had participated in any peace marches. "We ban a lot of people from flying because of that," a clerk said. Murphy then explained that he had not marched, but had "in September, 2006,given a lecture at Princeton, televised and put on the Web, highly critical of George Bush for his many violations of the Constitution." The clerk responded, "That'll do it." Murphy was allowed to board the plane, but was warned that his luggage would be"ransacked." On his return trip, his luggage was lost. Murphy is a decorated Marine who served in the Korean War and was a reservist for 19 years. If Russian warnings are correct, at this time next week, the US could be at war with Iran. Let us understand that this war is really an assault by the Illuminati on both countries.

The top rung of Freemasonry, the Illuminati Order is an international satanic cult that aims to subdue humanity by pitting nations in war against each other. It represents a conspiracy of international finance and many "leading families" of Europe and America.

The pictures of Bush and Ahmadinejad giving the satanic "goat's head" sign suggest Iranians are as ignorant as Americans of their President's true loyalty. Illuminati defector Leo Zagami recently called Ahmaninejad a "well known Satanist with no real connection to Islam" and the Iraq-Iran-Israel conflict a "foreign intelligence show."

Empowered by the central banking cartel, the Illuminati Order has the resources to infiltrate both sides of every conflict, and steer it according to the New World Order agenda. They call this a "dialectical process." They were on both sides of both world wars, the Cold War, Korea and Vietnam.

Iran's nuclear ambitions are merely a pretext. The real object is to degrade both the US and Iran so citizens will forfeit political, economic and spiritual rights to Illuminati banker "world government."

As early as 1871, Albert Pike, the Grand Commander of US Freemasonry wrote a letter to Giuseppe Mazzini, his European counterpart, foretelling three world wars. He was correct about the first two.

"The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the "agentur" of the "Illuminati" between the political Zionists [i.e. Americans] and the leaders of Islamic World. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam and political Zionism mutually destroy each other."

I don’t see this conflict as starting WWIII. Like the Spanish Civil War, it is a dress rehearsal. In turn, the Israel attack on Lebanon last July was a dry run for the attack on Iran. It may even have been part of an Israeli-American quid pro quo.

And just as Israel suffered some humiliating setbacks at the hands of the Hezbollah, I wouldn’t be surprised if the US "victory" is also Pyrrhic.

The important thing to understand is that a satanic cult controls all countries and is conducting a covert war against humanity. Thus,  people are too busy fighting each other to recognize their real enemies are their own leaders, the mass media, and the bankers who own both.

This is a possible Iran scenario: Like all wars, the conflict will be orchestrated . It will take place in the next month or two and resemble the Lebanon war. Iran and the US will both suffer serious losses; the price of oil will sky rocket and the stock market will take a hit. Israel and Iran may exchange fire but I don't foresee any invasions. If Iran went into Iraq, all bets would be off.

I'd like to be %100 wrong about this, and free to enjoy the Spring weather.

ORCHESTRATIONS

Here are some articles that suggest the Illuminati is orchestrating both sides:

Some observers have noted that the British female sailor was interviewed by the BBC and The Independent just hours before she was taken prisoner. How convenient. At least they didn't broadcast the capture bfore it took place.

Some have suggested the capture is so unlikely that both sides may have staged it, or it was a trap laid by the British. This would explain the lack of resistance. The parallel between the prisoner-takings that started the Lebanon war, and the present situation is obvious.

In a recent article, Seymour Hersh reveals that Dick Cheney has been running an Iran-Contra style operation that includes support for groups linked to al Queda. They are also engaged in clandestine operations in Iran and the kidnapping of hundreds of Iranians.

Isn't it strange that the Iranians have never captured any of the Americans involved in this? Isn’t it strange the Iranians don’t demand a prisoner exchange for their own citizens, particularly the ex-Deputy Minister of Defense kidnapped in Turkey?

Hersh also says the US is trying to repackage the Iraq war (a crude grab for oil and world domination) as a regional Shiite-Sunni conflict in which the US finds itself an innocent bystander. This has put the US in the contradictory position of having installed a pro-Iranian Shiite government in Iraq; and now having to support the Sunni and Al Qaeda insurgents, who are its ostensible enemies. It doesn’t make any sense unless you see the war as an end in itself.

David Icke received the shocking picture of Ahmadinejad from an aghast Iranian. "What's going on? This doesn't have anything to do with Islam!" he exlaimed.

In his exclusive newsletter, Icke recently wrote that Ahmadinehad seems to be playing the Illuminati game: "The propaganda war against Iran really picked up after the election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as President of the Islamic Republic in 2005. After he took office in the August he was soon making speeches that the American propagandists and spinners must have dreamed of.  I cannot believe this was a fortuitous coincidence. He defeated the one-time favourite, the former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani whose reputation and record would have made it almost impossible to demonise Iran as a threat to America or anyone else."

Icke continued: "Mehdi Karroubi, a Reformist candidate seeking to open Iranian society and oppose the extremes of hardline Islam, finished a good third in the first round of voting. He then alleged that a network of mosques, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and Basij militia forces had illegally generated support for Ahmadinejad and specifically named Mojtaba Khamenei, a son of the Supreme Leader Ayatolla Khamenei, as being involved in this election fraud. The Ayatollah told Karroubi that the allegations were below his dignity and he would not allow the crisis in Iran that they could cause. Karroubi wrote back, resigning from all his political posts and some Reformist newspapers were stopped from publication for publishing Karroubi's letter."

Finally Icke says: "British and American military intelligence ousted Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Mossadegh in 1953 in a CIA-planned coup called Operation Ajax; imposed the vicious Shah of Iran as a dictator; and then removed him for the Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979. Why would the same forces not continue to be involved in election manipulation in Iran when they so badly needed Ahmadinejad to defeat Rafsanjani for their 'Axis of Evil' plan to work?"

On the domestic front, an example of the Illuminati "dialectic" at work is Rosie O'Donnell's recent pronouncements on 9-11. The Lesbian poster child sounds like Alex Jones. Her function is to cast the opposition in the mold of the 1960's anti-war movement, focusing blame on Bush and "the government" instead of the long-term international conspiracy ultimately responsible.

You also see Brzezinski saying the war on terror "has undermined democracy" in the banker-owned Washington Post! That's pretty funny coming from one of the architects of this policy. He is trying to distance himself and his Rothschild-Rockefeller sponsors from their handiwork.

Meanwhile Democrats in Congress try to placate an angry electorate with timetables for withdrawal. This is a diversion. Democracy is a charade. The US will never willingly withdraw from Iraq. The US is the Illuminati's goon.

CONCLUSION

If the Illuminati have so much power, why don't they just proclaim their world dictatorship now? It's the process which is both incredibly profitable and necessary. Humanity must be gradually transformed so it sees its slavery as freedom: normal, natural and welcome.

It's best to see war as the Illuminati's cement mixer. They just throw everything in (people, cultures, religions) break and mix and then reset in their own mold. They call it "creating order out of chaos" but first they create chaos.

Their vision for the Middle East including Israel is as conformist and vapid as the EU. Middle East- EU union is already on the drawing board. Wars also kill a lot of innocent people whose souls feed these vampires, as well as pesky idealists ("heroes").

Emissions Already Affecting Climate, Report Says

BRUSSELS, April 6 —Scientists unveiled today the most detailed portrait yet of a world already in the midst of climatic and coastal changes, driven by global warming from human activities.

They said the earth’s climate and ecosystems were already being affected, for better and mostly for worse, by the atmospheric buildup of smokestack and tailpipe gases that trap heat. And they said that while limits on emissions could lower the risks, vulnerable regions must adjust promptly to shifting weather patterns and rising seas.

Martin Parry, co-chairman of the team that wrote the new report, identified the areas most affected as the Arctic, sub-Saharan Africa, small islands and Asia’s sprawling, crowded, flood-prone river deltas.

The conclusions, in the latest report from the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, came after four days of sometimes rancorous editing by hundreds of scientists and government officials who have been meeting here since Monday. The panel has tracked research on human-caused global warming since it was created under United Nations auspices in 1988.

In a sign of shifting geopolitics on global warming, scientists who worked on the report singled out China among a group of nations that watered down some language in the 21-page summary, while they credited the United States, which for years had stressed the uncertainty in the science, with playing a mostly constructive role now.

China is poised to surpass the United States as the world’s largest emitter of carbon dioxide, the main heat-trapping greenhouse gas, and it has been under growing diplomatic pressure — along with the United States — to agree to binding limits on emissions.

In February, the panel released a summary of basic climate science, concluding with 90 percent certainty that humans were the main cause of warming since 1950.

In this report, focusing on effects of warming, the group for the first time described how species, water supplies, polar ice sheets, and regional climate conditions were already responding to the global buildup of heat.

At a news conference here, the panel’s cochairman, Dr. Parry, said widespread effects were already measurable, with much more to come.

“We’re no longer arm-waving with models,” he said. “This is empirical information on the ground.”

The report said that climate patterns were shifting in ways that would bring benefits in some places — including more rainfall and longer growing seasons in high latitudes, opening Arctic seaways, and fewer deaths from cold weather — but that significant human hardship and ecological losses would be seen in others.

The panel said the long-term outlook for all regions was for trouble if temperatures rise by 3 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit. Consequences would range from the likely extinction of perhaps one-quarter of the world’s species to the eventual inundation of coasts and islands inhabited by hundreds of millions of people.

The worst effects threaten regions that are mainly poor and already facing dangers from existing climate and coastal hazards, the authors said.

“It’s the poorest of the poor in the world — and this includes poor people even in prosperous societies — who are going to be the worst hit,” said Rajendra K Pachauri, the chairman of the panel and an energy expert from India. “People who are poor are least equipped to be able to adapt to the impacts of climate change, and therefore, in some sense, this does become a global responsibility, in my view.”

The report, written by hundreds of scientists and reviewed by outside experts and government officials, warned that adaptation is essential because temperatures and seas will inevitably rise for decades, given the current buildup of carbon dioxide and other long-lived greenhouse gases already in the atmosphere.

But it said that efforts to reduce emissions could reduce, delay or avoid some of the harmful outcomes.

Final details were completed by hundreds of scientists in Brussels early this morning, and approved by officials from more than 100 countries. The report, focusing on the measured and projected impact of warming and the possible responses, was posted on the Web this morning at www.ipcc.ch.

Some authors said that the report removed any doubt about the urgency of acting to curb emissions of greenhouse gases.

“The warnings are clear about the scale of the projected changes to the planet,” said Bill Hare, an author of the new report and a visiting scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Potsdam, Germany. “Essentially, there’s going to be a mass extinction within the next 100 years unless climate change is limited,” added Dr. Hare, who previously worked for the environmetal advocacy group Greenpeace.

“These impacts have been known for many years, and are now seen with greater clarity in this report,” he said. “That clarity is perhaps the last warning we’re going to get before we actually have to report in the next I.P.C.C. review that we’re seeing the disaster unfolding.”

James L. Connaughton, the chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, said that some of the findings in the report, particularly the prospect of intensifying coastal damage from rising seas, were “of high concern,” but he noted the panel also foresaw benefits to agriculture in temperate regions as well.

Overall, he said, the analysis reinforced the need for industrialized countries to foster economic growth in developing countries, and thus to help them reduce their vulnerability to climate shocks.

One of the starkest changes projected in the report is an overheating and parching of southern Europe, particularly in summer, and the blossoming of northern regions, particularly Scandinavia.

But the report stressed that outsized threats would face communities in Africa, the crowded river deltas of south Asia, and low-lying islands around the world.

It also found that if investments are made now to adapt to climate and coastal changes, some disruption and damage could be held at bay.

In one section of the 1,572 pages of supporting documentation, for example, the report projects that hundreds of millions of people could be flooded out of homes by rising seas by 2080. But if steady investments are made in sea walls and other coastal protections, vulnerability could be sharply cut.

“The actual outcome in terms of damages and ruined lives and costs depends heavily on the response — the response of individuals to deal with the changes and governments to organize and anticipate and deal with this in advance,” said Michael Oppenheimer, a climate scientist at Princeton and an author of the report.

The meeting dragged on in a marathon session through the night before Dr. Pachaui emerged this morning to stand on a blue armchair and announce to reporters that an agreement had been reached between scientists and government officials over the final details of a 21-page summary.

Under pressure from countries including Russia, China and Saudi Arabia, sections on coral damage and hurricane trends were softened in the summary. They also got the authors to drop an illustration showing how different emissions policies might limit the harm done.

Officials from those countries argued that data in the report did not support the level of certainty expressed in the final draft.

But some authors were not assuaged. The final document was “much less quantified and much vaguer and much less striking than it could have been,” said Stéphane Hallegatte, a participant from France’s International Center for Research on the Environment and Development.

Negotiations were also prolonged by European delegates’ demand that the final report reflect the need to cut back on greenhouse gases — and not just adapt to new conditions.

“Adaptation will only work if climate change is not too large and not too fast,” Mr. Hallegatte said.
