P.S. Despite claims circulated through email that http://www.rense.com/ website had some hard drive failure, the site has been down for nearly a week now and this looks now quite fishy to me. Does anyone have any reliable intel on this?... Did they step on the wrong feet? Incidentally I had a dream a couple days ago in which I was told I needed to tell you all that if some day, for some reason, the networking of my compilations is entirely blocked by some agency, you will then have to go visit the ERN website to get them... I hope you will remember to do this if you stop getting them for more than 2 consecutive weeks...

Until now, U.S. air power in Iraq has been a non-story -- if you weren't an Iraqi. In the coming months, however, it may force its way onto the front pages of our papers and onto the nightly TV news -- but not if the Pentagon has anything to say about it (...) A secret air war is being waged in Iraq -- often in and around that country's population centers -- about which we can find out little. The U.S. military keeps information on the munitions expended in its air efforts under tight wraps, refusing to offer details on the scale of use and so minimizing the importance of air power in Iraq. But expert opinion holds that the forms of aerial assault being employed in that country, though hardly covered in our media, may account for most of the U.S. and coalition-attributed Iraqi civilian deaths there since the 2003 invasion. While some aspects of the air war remain a total mystery, Air Force officials do acknowledge that U.S. military and coalition aircraft dropped at least 111,000 pounds of bombs on targets in Iraq in 2006. This figure, 177 bombs in all, does not include guided missiles and unguided rockets fired, or cannon rounds expended; nor, according to a U.S. Central Command Air Forces (CENTAF) spokesman, does it take into account the munitions used by some Marine Corps and other coalition aircraft or any of the Army's helicopter gunships. Moreover, it does not include munitions used by the armed helicopters of the many private security contractors flying their own missions in Iraq. Air War, Iraq: 2006 In statistics provided to Tomdispatch, CENTAF reported a total of 10,519 "close air support missions" in Iraq in 2006, during which its aircraft dropped 177 bombs and fired 52 "Hellfire/Maverick missiles." These air strikes presumably included numerous highly publicized missions ranging from the January air strike outside the town of Baiji that reportedly "killed a family of 12," including at least three women and three young children, to the December attack on an insurgent safehouse in the Garma area, near Fallujah, that reportedly killed "two women and a child" in addition to five guerillas. (...) But the number of cannon rounds and rockets fired by U.S. aircraft is not an insignificant matter, according to Les Roberts, formerly an epidemiologist for the World Health Organization in Rwanda during that country's civil war and an expert on the human costs of the war in Iraq. According to Roberts, who was last in Iraq in 2004 (where, he says, he personally witnessed "the shredding of entire blocks" in Baghdad's Sadr City by aerial cannon fire), "rocket and cannon fire could account for most coalition-attributed civilian deaths." He adds, "I find it disturbing that they will not release this [figure], but even more disturbing that they have not released such information to Congressmen who have requested it." Non-CENTAF military officials were equally tight-lipped about such munitions -- at least with me. A Public Affairs officer from U.S. Central Command told me that the Command didn't track such information. When I questioned a coalition spokesman in Baghdad about the number of rockets and cannon rounds fired by Army and Marine Corps helicopters in Iraq in 2006, I was told, "We cannot comment on your inquiry due to operational security."I then pointed out that just last month, in National Defense Magazine, Col. Robert A. Fitzgerald, the Marine Corps' head of aviation plans and policy, was quoted as saying that, in 2006, "Marine rotary-wing aircraft flew more than 60,000 combat flight hours, and fixed-wing platforms completed 31,000. They dropped 80 tons of bombs and fired 80 missiles, 3,532 rockets and more than 2 million rounds of smaller ammunition." (...) There are indications that the U.S. air war has taken an especially grievous toll on Iraqi children. According to statistics provided to Tomdispatch by The Lancet study's authors, 50% of all violent deaths of Iraqi children under 15 years of age, between March 2003 and June 2006, were due to coalition air strikes. An audit of US reconstruction spending in Iraq has uncovered spectacular misuse of tens of millions of dollars in cash, including bundles of money stashed in filing cabinets, a US soldier who gambled away thousands, and stacks of newly minted notes distributed without receipts. The audit ... by the US Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction describes a country in the months after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein awash with dollars, and a Wild West atmosphere where even multimillion-dollar contracts were paid for in cash. The findings come after a report last year by the inspector general which stated that nearly $9 billion (£5 billion) of Iraq's oil revenue disbursed by the US-led Coalition Provisional Authority ... cannot be accounted for. The huge sums in cash were paid out with little or no supervision, and often without any paperwork. In one case, a US soldier gambled away more than $40,000 while accompanying the Iraqi Olympic boxing team to the Philippines. In others, "one contracting officer kept approximately $2 million in cash in a safe in his office bathroom", the report says, "while a paying agent kept approximately $678,000 in cash in an unlocked footlocker". More than 160 vehicles worth about $3.3 million could not be traced because there was no proper documentation. Another project, a $473,000 contract to install an internet service in Ramadi, was cancelled because officials could not oversee it. But the contractor had already been paid.

Scientists and economists have been offered $10,000 each by a lobby group funded by one of the world's largest oil companies to undermine the UN climate change report. Letters sent by the American Enterprise Institute, an ExxonMobil-funded think tank with close links to the Bush Administration, offered the payments for articles that emphasise the shortcomings of the report. Travel expenses and additional payments were also offered. The institute has received more than $1.6 million from ExxonMobil - which yesterday announced a $50 billion annual profit, the biggest ever by a US company - and more than 20 of its staff have worked as consultants to the Bush Administration. A former head of ExxonMobil, Lee Raymond, is the vice-chairman of the institute's board of trustees.

Exxon shares have risen by about 20 per cent in the past year. Exxon wasn't alone in unprecedented oil earnings. Royal Dutch Shell PLC, an Anglo-Dutch company, and U.S.-run Marathon Oil and Valero Energy, also posted best-ever annual results yesterday. And ConocoPhillips Co., also American, last week posted its highest profits. Profits at the five companies together totalled $91.1-billion -- in a year when drivers paid record prices for gasoline. Both Democratic and Republican members of Congress have also urged Exxon to end its funding of organizations that deny the existence of -- or minimize the serious! ness of -- human-made global warming. Scientists yesterday accused the conservative American Enterprise Institute, which receives funding from Exxon, of offering scientists up to $10,000 for articles that undercut a report to be released today from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Last month, the Union of Concerned Scientists ... said that Exxon has spent $16-million over the past 10 years financing organizations that deny the seriousness of climate change. Alden Meyer, a strategist with the group, compared Exxon's efforts to discredit the science of global warming to the tobacco companies' efforts to sow doubts about the link between smoking and lung cancer in order to protect their profits.

"In my view, Rabaska is exactly the type of project that we are trying to force on a local population that doesn't want it," Mr. Mulcair said last March after Premier Jean Charest dropped him from the environment portfolio. (...) But there have been major accidents at other types of LNG facilities. A steam boiler exploded in January, 2004, at an LNG production plant in Skikda, Algeria, killing 27 people. A report prepared for the citizens coalition by James Fay, professor of mechanical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, raised concerns about so many people living close to the terminal. Washington - A new report has named a Texas refinery owned and operated by BP as the largest emitter of carcinogenic toxins in the US. The list of polluting refineries, drawn up by the Environmental Integrity Project (EIP), a non-profit group, said the BP Texas City refinery was by far the largest refinery source of such emissions in 2004, the last year for which figures are available. Although I greatly appreciate your amazing work on behalf of us all, your recent comments about former Colorado governor Richard Lamm's speech on Multiculturalism left me troubled.

Illegal immigration in the U.S. is a huge problem and it has been engineered by the Illuminati. It is a direct result of NAFTA and now they are trying to implement the North American Union, whereby Mexico, the U.S. and Canada are joined as one country, with open borders.

This is the same thing that happened in Europe with the European Union. The immigration there, whether legal or illegal, by large numbers of Muslims, has brought strife to many countries because of cultural differences.

This is the plan of those behind the "New World Order," to do away with national sovereignty, so that they will have control of the world. You will not dismantle "the monster" by doing away with national sovereignty, but you will surely feed it.

All countries have immigration laws. They were made so as to protect the cohesiveness and order of the country. Mexico and the South American countries have very strict immigration laws. It is where the governments, such as the U.S., have not followed the law, where problems arise.

Your vision of the future may be a good one, but we have to deal with what is, right now. The U.S. (and by that I mean the principles and documents upon which it was founded) may be viewed by the Illuminati as the last bastion of all that stands in the way of their total control.

Look at the hate laws (thought control) that have been passed in many European countries, Canada and Australia. Those countries have allowed freedom of speech to vanish. We in the U.S. cannot allow that to happen, even though the U.N. (under Illuminati control) recently passed some legislation in that regard.

The world does need to abide by law. Eventually, that law will be written in everyone's heart and we'll naturally know how to live with each other. But until that day arrives, we're stuck with written laws and we need to follow them or change them.

Thank you for offering me your perspective on this issue and for sending me Frosty's articles on the immigration issue. I've begun reading a couple pages from the first article and certainly understand the problem. It is true that in the current "reality" such a vast expansion of the US population spells disaster for the US and for the planet as a whole. And from within this paradigm, there is little hope, if any, that humanity can survive much longer, mainly because of the climate change and ecosuicidal drive of most humans running us all into an "oblivion wall" like as many lemmings mass-jumping to their death in the sea. Just the current ecological footprint of the wealthiest segment of humanity, Americans and Canadians included, upon the finite natural resources of the planet means that we would need 3 planets Earth to sustain without failure the current level of consumption and pollution.

To me this is a typical scenario for most planetary civilizations at this infancy level of evolution where the technological means far surpass the global level of spiritual awakening and understanding of the situation they are collectively in. If we don't breach the global awakening threshold in time and continue onto our suicidal business-as-usual run into the abyss, it is clear what will happen.

The vision I offered, which is a very fragmentary description of a vastly different future, was based on an entirely different set of assumptions, which is that, in the very near future, humanity as a whole will transcend its current ego-generated limitations and blindness towards the Higher Reality, and jump-shift into a new dimension of spiritual Beingness whereby the present goals, values and paradigm (or world view) will completely vanish to leave only a new sense of infinite possibilities that had been awaiting our awakening to manifest in front of our mind eyes. In this new paradigm, there is obviously no room for any devious Illuminati conspiracy manipulating the world population for their narrow, selfish and ultimately suicidal aims. In this new paradigm, we know, because we experience it in our very loins, that all Life is One, that we are part of a majestic Experiment called "God Manifested", one of an nearly infinite number of such Experiments carried on by the Omniversal Creator of all Universes, and as such an infinitesimally small holographic reflection of the absolute Perfection of All That Is.

Of course, anyone with no inner Knowledge of what I'm talking about, does not have the faintest idea of what I'm referring to here and will simply disregard those assertions as the vacuous claims of someone who lives in a different world. Yet those with spiritual "eyes to see and ears to hear" will spontaneously recognize these notions and resonate with them at the deepest level of their soul, where the Will of God is Known.

If one thinks with the logic of a fish breathing through gills, the existence of another level of reality and of infinitely vaster possibilities outside of the familiar realm of water appears like a wild, unsupported claim. But if one has begun breathing through new embryonic "lungs" the fresh air of a New Earth, if only for a few moments, and in so doing has caught a glimpse of a dazzling, lush New Reality, then one just Knows there is a magnificent Light at the end of our still dimly lighted tunnel.

No one is asked to believe without actually "seeing" this emerging New Reality. But one has to do what's necessary to clear his/her perceptual filters and upgrade his emotional "hard drive" so as to catch a whiff of what's coming...

Thank you to Lea who expressed my own thoughts on channeling perfectly. And thank you for including the letter in your compilation.

I think Lea included the link to the electronic harassment article because it is entirely possible that some channeling comes from such sources. There is a recent video interview on the Project Camelot website, with a "Supersoldier," that suggests even more strongly that such a source of "channeling" is possible.

From Lea: "I love the spirit I find here. It pours out of letter after letter, and illuminates Jean's tireless efforts to keep us informed and connected. (Thank you, Jean.) I think this network is ultimately about hope, and is a bright stubborn flame in the face of the grim, the horrific, and the unbelievable in our current crazy world."

I quoted this because I think it exemplifies the only true hope there is in this increasingly insane world we live in: The power of one soul, of each soul committed to the Light to keep the flame of hope alive in others. As I've written to you before, it is uncanny to me how you, Jean, can compile the most complete and thorough accounts of the nightmarish events happening in our world, yet still leave me, and others of your readers, with hope. It is not from the channelings you include, not for me, at least. It is because of your own connection to the True Light that shines through.

I also have had grave doubts about the dimensional shift we are told is in process. And I personally do not see enough people awakening to create the hundredth monkey effect. However, there ARE some very unusual events happening on the physical level to our solar system. And there is much evidence that various high-level black-ops projects have ripped holes in the space-time continuum, which could very well lead to hitherto closed portals to the infinite number of parallel universes opening--and thus access to many, if not also an infinite number of, other Earths. This suggests a strong possibility of the way that the several different futures seen by Chet Snow's future-progressed clients could manifest. (Though, if this is so, I doubt that it was the intention of the black-ops folks.)

Why is the US press silent on Brzezinski's warnings of war against Iran?

The major national newspapers and most broadcast outlets failed even to report Thursday's stunning testimony by former national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Brzezinski, national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter, is among the most prominent figures within the US foreign policy establishment. He delivered a scathing critique of the war in Iraq and warned that the policy of the Bush administration was leading inevitably to a military confrontation with Iran which would have disastrous consequences for US imperialism.

Most significant and disturbing was Brzezinski's suggestion that the Bush administration might manufacture a pretext to justify a military attack on Iran. Presenting what he called a "plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran," Brzezinski laid out the following series of events:

"Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks, followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure, then by some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the US blamed on Iran, culminating in, quote/unquote, 'defensive' US military action against Iran..." [Emphasis added].

Thus Brzezinski opined that a US military attack on Iran would be an aggressive action, presented as though it were a defensive response to alleged Iranian provocations, and came close to suggesting, without explicitly stating as much, that the White House was capable of manufacturing or allowing a terrorist attack within the US to provide a casus belli for war. It is self-evident that such testimony at an open congressional hearing from someone with decades of experience in the US foreign policy establishment and the closest ties to the military and intelligence apparatus is not only newsworthy, but of the most immense and grave import. Any objective and conscientious newspaper or news channel would consider it an obligation to inform the public of such a development.

Yet neither the New York Times nor the Washington Post carried so much as a news brief on Brzezinski's testimony in their Friday editions. Nor did USA Today or the Wall Street Journal. All of these publications, of course, have well-staffed Washington bureaus and regularly cover congressional hearings, especially those dealing with such burning political questions as the war in Iraq. There is no innocent explanation for their decision to suppress this story.

The Washington Post on Thursday published a large page-two column and photo on Henry Kissinger's appearance the previous day before the same Senate committee. The former secretary of state under Richard Nixon gave testimony that was generally supportive of the Bush administration's war policy. Moreover, the Post's web edition carried an Associated Press report on Brzezinski's appearance. That article introduced subtle but significant changes to Brzezinski's speculative scenario of the road to war with Iran which had the effect of underplaying the sharpness and urgency of Brzezinski's critique of the Bush administration. It omitted the suggestion that a terrorist attack within the US could become the justification for war, and it removed the quotation marks from Brzezinski's talk of a "defensive" war against Iran. The World Socialist Web Site on Friday telephoned the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and USA Today to ask for an explanation for their failure to report Brzezinski's testimony. None of the newspapers returned our calls.

As for the television news outlets, the "News Hour with Jim Lehrer" on PBS showed a clip of Brzezinski laying out his war scenario before the Senate committee, without making any comment. "NBC Nightly News" ignored the story entirely.

The suppression of this damning critique of the Iraq war, the conspiratorial methods of the Bush administration, and its drive to an even wider war in the Middle East is one more demonstration of the corrupt and reactionary character of the American mass media. It indicates that the establishment media is preparing once again, as in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq, to serve as a sounding board for the administration's war propaganda and lies.

Six Lies You Shouldn't Believe About Iran, Especially Since, Hey, There's People Down Here.

It feels so different watching an aircraft carrier group coming toward you than watching it sailing away from you toward another part of the world. 

I'm an American who used to live in New York City. All my life, when I heard about warships, it was US warships going places far away. I never even imagined hostile warships sailing toward New York. Now I'm in Tehran, and aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis is heading our way. And as it sails, people are discussing Israel and/or the US bombing Iran as if my family and 69 million other people weren't even here. I'm getting scared.
  
Most Iranians that I know don't worry about this as much as I do, though they're wondering how the sanctions will affect the economy. Khomeini had a famous saying that we actually saw on a sign yesterday in another town: "America can't do anything to us." Some friends here speculate that Bush just needs an enemy so that he can continue his programs in the US, and that Iran is the enemy du jour. I wish I could believe that. 
 
The way I see it, somebody has to stop the US president right now, and it's very upsetting that the Congress isn't doing it. My frustration is greater because I'm in a country where the Internet is not completely available. For example, I tried to send a donation to Dennis Kucinich, but PayPal wouldn't take it because of the embargo. I tried to write to my Congressperson, but the Islamic Republic blocked the communication, presumably because it was with the US government.
 
(Sometimes news stories that I want to read are blocked, too, but there are ways around that.)
 
If the US and/or Israel attack Iran, it will be a war based on lies, just like the Iraq war. Iraq didn't have WMD, but Iraqis died in the hundreds of thousands. The lies about Iran seem intended to, first, make Iran look like the new Nazi state that must be bombed so as to avoid a new Holocaust, and second, make Americans fear that Iran will hurt our soldiers in Iraq or give nuclear weapons to terrorists who will hurt us in "the homeland." 
 
History shows that Americans are very susceptible to demonization of particular leaders of countries that the US wants to attack. Remember Castro? Noriega? Saddam? Now it's Ahmadinejad. Whatever people think of views attributed to Ahmadinejad, it remains the case that it's not morally acceptable to kill people because of their president, whether that president be Saddam Hussein, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, or George Bush. 

I want to discuss six big lies we are hearing to justify expanding the war to Iran. 
  
LIE NUMBER 1: President Ahmadinejad "has repeatedly threatened to wipe Israel off the map."

Even Al Jazeera English version based in Qatar keeps saying that. Why hasn't this mistranslation been corrected after it's been thoroughly exposed? ( in the Guardianand prisonplanet.com ) 
Juan Cole, in Informed Comment, explained how "wiped off the map" was a mistranslation; Ahmadinejad was restating the official Iranian policy that the government system based on Zionism must end. And why the heck can't newscasters learn to pronounce the man's name? Anyone who knows Farsi could teach them in a minute. Why should we think they know what he said, in Farsi, if they can't even say his name? 
 
LIE NUMBER 2: The Iranian government is run by 1930s-style anti-Semites.

Last Spring, a story was planted that the Iranian parliament had passed a law forcing Iranian Jews to wear yellow badges. "Fourth Reich," screamed a banner headline on one of the New York City tabloids. In a few days, the neocon source was disclosed and the story was completely retracted by the Canadian paper in which it was first published. The New York paper never apologized. When I mention the "yellow badges" to people here in Iran, they look incredulous. "But ... that didn't happen." I know. But I'll bet there are some Americans, and Israelis, who actually believe Jewish Iranians are walking around wearing yellow badges.
 
LIE NUMBER 3: Iran is bent on wiping out the Jews.

Maybe Americans should have a little humility and remember how recalcitrant the US was about accepting Jewish refugees fleeing Hitler during WWII. Iran has a very good history, under Cyrus the Great, of protecting the Jews. The long history of Jews in Persia is indicated by a monument to the Jewish prophet Daniel in the south of Iran. As for the European Holocaust deniers who were among the speakers at the Holocaust conference in Tehran, I just can't figure it out, unless Ahmadinejad is trying to win popularity points with pro-Palestinian regional populations by appearing to be unafraid of Israel and the US. Or he could be a fool and/or a religious fundamentalist
 
(like some other presidents who shall go unnamed). 
 
LIE NUMBER 4: Iran is causing trouble in Iraq and threatening Arab states.

Everyone should be very clear: Who's meddling in Iraq, who's flying thousands of missions shooting at Iraqi citizens, who attacked whose diplomatic mission, who is detaining whose citizens, and who has announced that it is supporting subversive operations inside whose country and across whose border (from Iraqi Kurdistan)? Most likely some of the undemocratic and unpopular rulers in the Middle East are afraid that their own citizens may be attracted to the Iranian model. That may concern the US oil men and financiers who have business and military ties with them, but it's not a reason for Americans to back destruction of Iran. 

LIE NUMBER 5: Iran is dangerous to humanity because it's trying to get nuclear weapons.

Other people who know more than I are writing about the nuclear issues. But regarding threats by Israel and the US to bomb Iranian nuclear research sites, that's a violation of international law, not to mention a danger to innocent civilians. Regulating nuclear activities is the responsibility of the IAEA. So far, the IAEA has declared that Iran does not have nuclear weapons and is in compliance with the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. That's more than we can say about the USA, which is supposed to be actively disarming its 10,000 warheads, not refurbishing them and developing new kinds of nuclear weapons. Though there are good reasons to think Iran does not want nuclear weapons, let's imagine, just for the sake of argument, that Iran would someday acquire them. Humanity has managed to live with other countries having nukes. The only reason Iran's having nukes would be of greater concern would be if the lies spelled out above were true. But they're lies.
 
LIE NUMBER 6: Iranians are looking to the USA to bring them democracy, just like the USA has brought democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq.

I'm living here in Tehran, Iran, now, with my family, as are many other Americans, Europeans, Asians, and other foreigners. We are inviting friends and relatives to come and visit. The skiing's fine. More democracy and more civil liberties would be better, but there are elections and there are laws and there are non-governmental organizations and you can approach public officials. Whatever's not right with this country is the business of the people here to work on. Some Iranians living in other countries want the US to "save" Iran. I don't know, but I suspect people like that would like the US to magically bring back the good old days when the US-allied Shah sat on his throne and the well-off classes had a fine life. If anyone finds any overseas Iranians who actually are willing to see Iran bombed, I hope the reporters ask them if they have any relatives currently living in Iran. I hope Americans don't take these has-beens too seriously.

A Strike on Iran would signify the Beginning of an Epoch of Nuclear War

In my paper entitled "2007: Opening a New Page in the World's History", published in September, 2006, I examined the possibility that a US strike on Iran using small-scale nuclear munitions [mini-nukes] would be launched, and that the strike would become the beginning of an epoch of nuclear wars. There were various responses to the paper. Some authors, including recognized experts, doubted the possibility of such a development. At present, few people doubt that there will be a strike on Iran. Rather, the question is whether nuclear or conventional weapons will be used in the offensive.

In this context, I would like to present the following considerations.

1. An attack on Iran is motivated by nothing but the US domestic political expediency and the unlimited appetites of the country's military-industrial complex. President G. Bush has no choice - his only option is a breakthrough. The problem does not originate from the total failure of his doctrine of the "war on international terrorism". If the US political elite represented by Bush based its decisions solely on the estimates of the damage to its public image that might be caused by the fiasco of the global anti-terrorist campaign, it would have extremely serious reservations about starting a new regional war. However, they are motivated by something else - they need to continue Bush's politics backed by a conglomerate of weapons suppliers, who established control over the country's oversized military spending. Should Bush recognize being defeated and withdraw the US military forces from the Middle East, the Democrat's elite would overtake the financial leverage, and a major redistribution of the military commissioning would follow. When such enormous funds are at stake, people's lives and those of entire nations become tokens in the game. For these operations, the destiny of the Middle East and its nations means absolutely nothing, just as the lives of the Vietnamese and the Cambodians showered with napalm and defoliants meant nothing either. One must be naïve to suppose that the Pentagon machine will stop and miss the new incredibly high profits.

2. The coming war between the US and Iran has to conform to certain parameters defined a priori. The US is tired of Iraq, and the public opinion in the country is turning increasingly anti-war. Therefore, the offensive against Iran has to be swift and victorious. This will save Bush's political group and give it a higher rating in the country. There can be no doubt that a successful aggression will make Bush extremely popular in the US - in this anti-Christian society the pagan god of victory has long taken the place of the Savior. A triumph will make the US public blind and deaf - it will remain unaware of the price of the US victory for the nations of the Middle East. The crucial circumstance is that only nuclear weapons can guarantee the US victory in this war. Knowing that the US failed to win even in Iraq, a country plagued by religious and ethnic strife, one cannot expect it to prevail in the united and spiritually strong Iran. Only the use of nuclear weapons can make it possible to cause severe damage to the Iranian control system hidden in bunkers and, importantly, to behead its leadership no matter how deep underground it might be hiding. Iran without its leaders and with a paralyzed system of control, with an army devastated by "baby nukes", is the only option which suits the US - it agrees to talk about peace only to a totally subdued offender. Such talks would let the US leaders' old dream of a Middle Eastern Disneyland, mastered by the US and Israel, come true.

Here are the facts which illustrate the process of preparation for the devastation of Iran:

- The UN Security Council Resolution envisions that a further tightening of the sanctions imposed on Iran must take place after February 21, 2006. From the standpoint of international law, this is a pretext (essentially, a poor one, but one that does exist) to legalize an aggression against the country.

- Two US aircraft carrier groups armed with nukes are moving into the region. The US aircraft carrier groups have been on missions 5 times over the past 15 years. In 4 cases out of the 5, they launched military offensives. In March, 2007 both groups are to take their combat positions.

- Additional ground forces have been shifted to the border between Iraq and Iran. Preparations for a new phase of hostilities are underway.

- In February, Patriot missile defense systems will be ready to defend Israel and the aircraft carrier groups from enemy airstrikes.

- British combat engineers are entering the regions of the future fighting, clearly in order to operate in the Strait of Ormuz, where Iranians are most likely to lay mines.

- The US and Israel launched a powerful information and propaganda campaign preparing the global public opinion for the aggression.

- CENTCOM's Commander John Abizaid, an opponent of the war with Iran, resigned. His position was taken over by Admiral W. Fallon, a veteran of the 1991 Iraq and 1995 Bosnia campaigns.

- John Negroponte has been removed from his position as the Director of National Intelligence for persistently resisting the use of force against Iran.

- Tony. Blair, the "staff peacemaker" for the Middle East, never mentions a peaceful settlement of the Iran dossier. He makes no attempts to find a way to resolve the crisis in a peaceful way, and this is highly indicative.

All of the above constitute evidence of Iran being prepared for sacrifice. Will a major provocation be orchestrated for this purpose?

A number of observers opine that Washington needs one. We believe that what we will see is going to be a plain cowboy-style scenario like the one which materialized in Iraq. The media has never stop debating the issue of the "Iranian atomic bomb" - just as they focused on "Saddam. Hussein's weapons of mass destruction". It is time for them to start. It absolutely does not matter that eventually nothing of the kind will be found in Iran. Those who disagree will be silenced by force.

The question is - will such a "breakthrough" do George Bush any good? The idea of attacking Iran was born in the primitive minds of those who, just for the sake of their profits, can sell the rope on which they will be hanged. This time it will be neither they nor their children who will perish in the nuclear Holocaust, and they'd rather not worry that by this they will take the whole of mankind a step closer to total catastrophe.
