Bush has purged senior military and intelligence officials who were obstacles to a wider war in the Middle East, broadening his options for both escalating the conflict inside Iraq and expanding the fighting to Iran and Syria with Israel's help. On Jan. 4, Bush ousted the top two commanders in the Middle East, Generals John Abizaid and George Casey, who had opposed a military escalation in Iraq, and removed Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte, who had stood by intelligence estimates downplaying the near-term threat from Iran's nuclear program. Most Washington observers have treated Bush's shake-up as either routine or part of his desire for a new team to handle his planned "surge" of U.S. troops in Iraq. But intelligence sources say the personnel changes also fit with a scenario for attacking Iran's nuclear facilities and seeking violent regime change in Syria. (...) Whatever Iran's intent, Negroponte has said U.S. intelligence does not believe Iran could produce a nuclear weapon until next decade. Negroponte's assessment in April 2006 infuriated neoconservative hardliners who wanted a worst-case scenario on Iran's nuclear capabilities, much as they pressed for an alarmist view on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction before the U.S. invasion in 2003. Unlike former CIA Director George Tenet, who bent to Bush's political needs on Iraq, Negroponte stood behind the position of intelligence analysts who cited Iran's limited progress in refining uranium. Negroponte's departure should give Bush a freer hand if he decides to support attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. Bush's neocon advisers fear that if Bush doesn't act decisively in his remaining two years in office, his successor may lack the political will to launch a preemptive strike against Iran. Bush reportedly has been weighing his military options for bombing Iran's nuclear facilities since early 2006. But he has encountered resistance from the top U.S. military brass, much as he has with his plans to escalate U.S. troop levels in Iraq. (...) An Israeli assault on Iran could put the region's remaining pro-American dictators in jeopardy, too. In Pakistan, for instance, Islamic militants with ties to al-Qaeda have been gaining strength and might try to overthrow Gen. Pervez Musharraf, conceivably giving Islamic terrorists control of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal. For some U.S. foreign policy experts, this potential for disaster from a U.S.-backed Israeli air strike on Iran is so terrifying that they ultimately don't believe Bush and Olmert would dare implement such the plan. But Bush's actions in the past two months - reaffirming his determination to achieve "victory" in Iraq - suggest that he wants nothing of the "graceful exit" that might come from a de-escalation of the war. Sources say the three leaders are frantically seeking options for turning around their political fortunes as they face harsh judgments from history for their bloody and risky adventures in the Middle East. But there is also a clock ticking. Blair, who now stands to go down in the annals of British history as "Bush's poodle," is nearing the end of his tenure, having agreed under pressure from his Labour Party to step down in spring 2007. So, if the Bush-Blair-Olmert triumvirate has any hope of accomplishing the neoconservative remaking of the Middle East, time is running out. Something dramatic must happen soon. That something looks like it may include a rush to Armageddon.

Managing Escalation: Negroponte and Bush's New Iraq Team (January 8, 2007)

As part of a massive staff shakeup of Bush's Iraq team last week, it was announced that John Negroponte, the current U.S. National Intelligence Director who has also conveniently served as the U.S. ambassador to Iraq from June 2004 to April 2005 is being tapped as the new Deputy Secretary of State.(...) Planned or not, these death squads promptly spiraled out of control to become the leading cause of death in Iraq. Intentional or not, the scores of tortured, mutilated bodies which turn up on the streets of Baghdad each day are generated by the death squads whose impetus was John Negroponte. And it is this U.S.-backed sectarian violence which largely led to the hell-disaster that Iraq is today.Under Reagan, Negroponte was the U.S. ambassador to Honduras in the early 1980's where he played a major role in U.S. efforts to topple the Nicaraguan government. The political history of John Negroponte shows a man who has had a career bent toward generating civilian death and widespread human rights abuses, and promoting sectarian and ethnic violence. In Honduras he earned the distinction of being accused of widespread human rights violations by the Honduras Commission on Human Rights while he worked as "a tough cold warrior who enthusiastically carried out President Ronald Reagan's strategy," according to cables sent between Negroponte and Washington during his tenure there. The human rights violations carried out by Negroponte were described as "systematic." (...) Negroponte's appointment signals that Bush hopes to tap into his experiences from the medium-intensity war in Central America to do the same once again in Iraq. Coupled with the changes in the military and diplomatic team in Iraq it is a clear signal that the Administration is ready, willing and able, to head down the course of massive and indiscriminant escalation. It must be stopped.

Iraq's massive oil reserves, the third-largest in the world, are about to be thrown open for large-scale exploitation by Western oil companies under a controversial law which is expected to come before the Iraqi parliament within days. The US government has been involved in drawing up the law, a draft of which has been seen by The Independent on Sunday. It would give big oil companies such as BP, Shell and Exxon 30-year contracts to extract Iraqi crude and allow the first large-scale operation of foreign oil interests in the country since the industry was nationalised in 1972. The huge potential prizes for Western firms will give ammunition to critics who say the Iraq war was fought for oil. They point to statements such as one from Vice-President Dick Cheney, who said in 1999, while he was still chief executive of the oil services company Halliburton, that the world would need an additional 50 million barrels of oil a day by 2010. "So where is the oil going to come from?... The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies," he said. Oil industry executives and analysts say the law, which would permit Western companies to pocket up to three-quarters of profits in the early years, is the only way to get Iraq's oil industry back on its feet after years of sanctions, war and loss of expertise. But it will operate through "production-sharing agreements" (or PSAs) which are highly unusual in the Middle East, where the oil industry in Saudi Arabia and Iran, the world's two largest producers, is state controlled. ExxonMobil Corp. gave $16 million to 43 ideological groups between 1998 and 2005 in an effort to mislead the public by discrediting the science behind global warming, the Union of Concerned Scientists asserted yesterday. The report by the advocacy group mirrors similar claims by Britain's leading scientific academy. Last September, The Royal Society wrote the oil company asking it to halt support for groups that "misrepresented the science of climate change." Alden Meyer, the Union of Concerned Scientists' strategy and policy director, said in a teleconference that ExxonMobil based its tactics on those of tobacco companies, spreading uncertainty by misrepresenting peer-reviewed scientific studies or emphasizing only selected facts. James McCarthy, a professor at Harvard University, said the company has sought to "create the illusion of a vigorous debate" about global warming.

Bush Claims Right to Open Mail (January 4, 2007)

The New York Daily News today reports on a signing statement President Bush quietly issued two weeks ago, in which he asserts his right to open mail without a warrant. Signing statements have historically been used by presidents mostly to explain how they intend to enforce the laws passed by Congress; Bush has used them to quietly assert his right to ignore those laws. The President asserted his new authority when he signed a postal reform bill into law on Dec. 20. Bush then issued a 'signing statement' that declared his right to open people's mail under emergency conditions. That claim is contrary to existing law and contradicted the bill he had just signed, say experts who have reviewed it. The Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act ... explicitly reinforced protections of first-class mail from searches without a court's approval. Here is the signing statement in question. Are these signing statements just a bunch of ideological bluster from overenthusiastic White House lawyers -- or are they actually emboldening administration officials to flout the laws passed by Congress? If the latter, Bush's unprecedented use of these statements constitutes a genuine Constitutional crisis.

It might be of public interest to know that a significant number of Israeli Mossad agents are now working in the United States as employees of the Central Intelligence Agency. These agents, some of whom are listed below, are initially paid by the Israeli Embassy in Washington but Israel then bills the U.S. Government for the salaries and is reimbursed in full on a monthly basis. Here is a partial listing of identified Mossad agents (as of 1 January, 2007) along with their dates of birth and salaries. They do not have American Social Security numbers and do not pay American taxes. (...) Most of these U.S.-subsidized spies live in Potomac, McLean, Georgetown and Arlington. I have their addresses and these will be published in a follow-up article. These are Israeli citizens but many of the middle level CIA officials are American-born Jews and not included in this list but we do know who they are. All of them, without exception, work for Israel and Israeli interests, not American interests and more than a few are known to be friendly with a number of the so-called Neocons, a significant number of whom are also Israeli citizens.

I have heard and read von Danniken and Childress, and studied and traveled with Sitchin. More recently I heard and read the amazing William Henry. He calls stargates by their modern scientific name, "wormholes" and offers many ancient Egyptian and Sumerian illustrations clearly depicting those. Henry's explanation of space/time travel tallies with that of time traveler Al Bielek who long ago described a sort of "folding" of time/space, that allows spacecraft a journey through many light years in a matter of (earth) days or weeks. When we first invaded Iraq I remember intuiting at the time that the "oil grab" was a cover story and that we were really there to control at least one ancient stargate---the ancient entrypoint(s) of the Anunnaki whose descendants are Illuminati. Our prompt cleanout of the antiquities museum in Baghdad was a supporting clue. There may be more such stargates in present day Iran (!!!) as well as at Baalbek in eastern Lebanon near the Syrian (!!) border. S: Happy new year again, now at the computer, sweetheart!

MATTHEW: And I say the same to you “electronically,” dear soul! Let us start with my answer when you asked me on New Year's Eve, will the energy from all the celebrations around the world have any lasting effect? Always there is reverberation from the high spirits of crowds welcoming a new year, and some of it remains via action on good intentions; but never before in Earth's history has the energy of that annual occasion given such forceful momentum toward peace. Hearts and minds are filled with hope, with encouragement, that the time of peace is nearing, and the energy of those emotions sparkles magnificently. You can think of this graphically as the collective fireworks that briefly but spectacularly lit up the skies in a wave around your world as a global beacon guiding peace and spiritual enlightenment ashore.

Your world is war-weary. Even those who are committed to the war that is blazoned on newspaper front pages and dominates newscasts are weary, but it comes from their ongoing failure to achieve the victory they had expected to come easily. Indicators of the frenzy in the administration and the fatigue in the military are the individuals being repositioned or replaced to create the appearance of a “new strategy” in Iraq. Principal players who formerly supported the war have abandoned ship either by disillusionment that policies proven futile nevertheless were continued or by “seeing the light” and embracing it. A great deal is fomenting behind the scenes and some results that could be considered “complete” are not being made public. Incrementally they will be, because the ultimate reason for the tumult in the Mideast cannot stay cloaked much longer in the spin of “a democratic Iraq” or “Israel's national security.” With the ever-growing demands for troop withdrawal from Iraq and for attention to be given to stopping genocide, starvation, disease, poverty and new weapons development, the light is shifting the power from the dark perpetrators to the enlightened populace.

If I had to choose only one word to describe what is happening in Earth's energy field of potential, it would be turmoil, and turmoil is to be heartily welcomed as the forerunner of the masses' desire for peace being manifested. Reformation, or transformation, comes only when enough energy is put forth to move any situation from status quo into betterment. This is what you are doing, and we praise and admire your steadfastness in holding the light throughout the years when little change was evident. We know that you have been longing for tangible evidence of the light's progress beyond our assurance that we see it, and your patience and perseverance will be well rewarded this year. 

But please do not anticipate totally smooth sailing during the process of energy adjustments. We do not see the tenacity of darkest ones flagging and we do see their desperation growing—the combination indicates that they intend to keep the pressure on. There will be more geophysical events to transmute the negativity stored as kinetic energy; weather anomalies leading to a more moderate climate globally will continue for a while longer; and disease, impoverishment and ignorance cannot be eradicated overnight. Yes, indeed you have our space family's incalculable assistance, but it is vital to keep foremost in your thoughts that each of you has the power to speed the day when Earth is radiant in the vibrations of love and peace. Focused thoughts and feelings on what you want for yourself and your world is prayer, and the power of prayer is immeasurable! 

Understandably, many readers from countries other than the United States are asking about their leaders and when situations such as their unjust laws, denial of human rights, oppression of women, and civil wars will end. So again I tell you that everything that applies to the US applies globally insofar as the light initiating changes from “bad” to “good” in all conceivable ways. Because the US government seemingly is the bully regarding world events, it gets the most publicity even though it is the worldwide cabal often called the Illuminati that wields the power via the purse strings that have controlled many governments, provoked wars, and kept deceit, violence and oppression thriving. Through a stream of defectors from lower level ranks and efforts moving forward to remove the vast illegal fortunes of the Illuminati, their control is being consistently battered. Although it is becoming apparent that new political figures with promising ideas and intentions are rising in prominence in some countries, the beneficial changes underway are not coming from political systems—the changes so sorely needed are coming from the increased light in people worldwide. It is the collective light on the planet that is ushering your world into the Golden Age!

S: Matthew, I think light workers understand this, but the yardstick for most people is change in national leadership, and all that seems to be happening in our government is talk and musical chairs. When will we see unmistakable evidence of BIG changes?

MATTHEW: I don't know exactly when, Mother. Change comes according to the energy put into it, and there are more factors affecting the momentum of change than the people who are determined to “stay the course” toward world domination with conquest of the Mideast as a necessary step. The lack of truthful information in mainstream media remains a contributor, because many still believe whatever rhetoric is put forth, and the energy of their thoughts is “stuck” in that information. But there are other influencing sources, too, mostly fear or apathy in people who do not have light workers' understanding of what is transpiring. People who are barely eking out a living wage are fearful of losing that income, and those who have no jobs or homes or health care and no hope of ever improving their living standards are fearful about what will happen to them. Parents and grandparents despair about the world their families will inherit. These many millions of souls, plus all who are besieged with their own or loved ones' debilitating illness or are grieving from loss of their dear folks, are preoccupied with their everyday lives that leave no emotional margin or interest in thinking beyond that. Many people have become inured to war as a way of life and just go about their daily affairs; employees of companies that supply the war machine are interested in their jobs continuing; young adults who see no sense in making long-term plans escape into drugs or immersion in violent computer games; feelings of the religiously devout who believe their religion is the only true one range from despising the Muslim “enemy” to accepting that their death and destruction of their country is God's will; and believers in Armageddon are simply waiting to be “saved.” All in these population groupings could be considered passive supporters of the status quo by either creating more negativity for Earth to deal with or by putting forth no energy toward change.

And there is another group supporting the status quo by the energy of their thoughts and feelings. The troops in the trenches need to feel that they are serving a valuable purpose and so do their anxious families. The many thousands who have sustained life-changing physical and psychological wounds and their families need to feel the same. And certainly the families of the women and men who have died on the war front need to feel the deaths were for something meaningful or they would be inconsolable. The combined energy attachments of all those souls who need to believe what they do also slows the process of change in the government that approved of waging the war and wants it to continue. 

All of those many, many millions of souls need light to fill their hearts and open their eyes, and the light being sent to each and every one is letting Earth feel more hopeful that most of her humankind will travel with her. She knows that as the vibrations increase along her ascension path, so does the communication between the soul and the consciousness, and sparks are flying, so to say, as her slumbering residents are awakening. This is what I referred to as the continuance of spectacular fireworks being a beacon, like lighting the way to safety for the new soul-searchers. 

Another reason for Earth's rejoicing: Among the children who have come during the past two decades are those with extraordinary capabilities and ancient wisdom and the mission to solidify the reforms that are being initiated by older generations who came with the purpose to do that. Some of these highly evolved souls know who they are and exactly why they are there, and others are discovering this about themselves. You will know these new leaders by their demeanor and actions—trust your intuition about them!—and if you are in close proximity, you will feel uplifted and energized by the energy emanating from them. When these souls are in leadership roles and the light-filled multitudes are cheering them on, you and Earth will know that she is in good hands!

Mother, I want to add one thing more before going to your question list. Quite some time ago I told you to sign your correspondence LOVE and PEACE, and I want to tell readers why. Simply writing, typing or reading those words evokes a higher vibration within you, and the spoken words create even greater impact. Imagine the massive power you are generating by feeling love and working for peace!

And now let us start on the list.

S: OK, dear, and thank you for answering my question and more! Someone who read that the Illuminati want us to ingest monoatomic gold because it prevents an increase in DNA strands and also primes us for mind control programming, wants your opinion of this.

MATTHEW: I'll be happy to speak about this, but it is MUCH more than my opinion! The truth is exactly the opposite of that claim, and while that false information may have been passed on innocently, you can be sure that its originator knows gold's place in human evolution—in highly evolved civilizations, gold is naturally an ingredient of their bodies because it is one of the most beneficial elements in the universe. As the microcosm of the universe that each of you is, this is how it applies to you: Gold enhances brain functioning and contributes to physiological stability through cellular regeneration. Throughout the eons of deterioration of human intelligence and the loss of knowledge that each life form started in the pure love essence of Creator and is a part of the Supreme Ruler of this universe, the use of gold went from health to wealth. It spiraled downward from its vital role in spiritual clarity and physical well being to its use as jewelry and other objects of opulence and eventually became the foundation for some economic systems. Gold also is an important part of higher civilizations' technology. The earliest visitors to your planet went there precisely to look for gold, and upon discovering it, kept this a secret so they didn't have to share their find with any other civilizations.

S: I didn't know all of that before, but I did know the information about gold couldn't be right or you wouldn't have told me years ago to start taking it. 

MATTHEW: Mother, we were talking about so many important topics then that what mattered was that you followed my advice, and since you did so without questioning, I didn't think to say more about gold.

S: Does taking gold have a bearing on age-reversal or a much longer lifespan than we have now?

MATTHEW: It can contribute, but just as in all other facets of your lives, free will reigns supreme, and even in Earth's Golden Age, not everyone will choose to “de-age” or remain there indefinitely. In the beginning of physical forms, no disease, old age or death were in the DNA, and the ending of a physical lifetime was by the soul's choice to move on to different experiencing in either another form or in spirit. However, when darkness entered the universe and warring between the dark and the light forces started, physical death began from lethal injuries in combat. That is when the world you call Heaven and whose proper name is Nirvana was established, as the fatigued and wounded light warriors needed a safe haven to rest and recover. After the warring moved farther away from your part of the universe, Nirvana became the spirit sanctuary for your planet. As more dark influence came into play, human DNA was manipulated downward from the crystalline-based structure that accommodates many strands to the carbon-based with only two strands in third density beings; and the most de-volved life forms were reduced to only primordial instinct. Throughout the ages of this de-evolution, love energy—the most powerful force in the cosmos—has been beamed as light rays to every soul in those low stations, and all who absorbed it have slowly made their way back along the scale of spiritual clarity and intelligence.

S: Like we're doing now, moving out of third density.

MATTHEW: Yes, but most of you are much farther along on the way back than the souls deeply mired in the lowest aspects of third density worlds.

S: Thankfully we're beyond that! So many people are asking what we can do about health issues and what today's practitioners will do when there's no more illness on the planet, that I'm hoping you can comment extensively enough to cover everything. Or do you want me to type all the questions?

MATTHEW: That won't be necessary, Mother. I know that some questions are about individuals' personal situations, and I'm not qualified to diagnose and prescribe therapies, so I can say only what I have before in messages: Along with providing guidelines for coping with mental, emotional and physical anomalies that may be the effects of new frequencies, I recommended consulting a trusted specialist in alternative health care methods and prayer. But we are aware of the general concerns and interests about this subject, and I will speak about those.

To begin at the beginning, bodies are not solid. Like everything else in the universe, bodies are energy fluctuating at one frequency or another, and blockages in the energy flow at bodies' most vulnerable points are the cause of illness, pain, debility and ultimately physical death. The vulnerable points may be vestiges of ancient wounds carried forth in cellular memory or areas weakened by some trauma in this lifetime. When those conditions are provisions of soul contracts to balance or complete other lifetime experiencing, a body's energy field blocks the healing energy being directed and health practitioners' efforts cannot be successful. When that is not the case, treatments can be effective in activating the body's self-healing mechanisms when the patient has this belief and the intention to be healed. 

You need to understand also that everything “negative” on Earth pertaining to health and well being, such as endemic disease, malnourishment and impoverishment, viruses and pollution—all devised by the darkness in humankind—is there to provide what souls need to complete third density karmic experiencing and move into higher densities where no form of darkness can exist. What happened is that far longer than originally thought, most souls inhabiting Earth only partially completed their chosen experiencing or, through their free will choices, kept incurring more karma that needed to be balanced by reincarnating in the same kinds of circumstances. Earth was depleting her own light by giving it to her residents time after time as still one more opportunity to complete the
third density experiencing cycle, and because of this, sixty-some years ago her planetary body was near death. Rather than let her body die and her soul ascend, she chose to give her humankind one last chance to wind up their karmic lessons. That is when she cried out for help and God authorized our space family to intervene with the infusion of light that kept Earth's body alive. She has had her fill of living in third density where darkness thrives, and during her ascension out of that station, her residents have the opportunity to accompany her. Many who are experiencing painful mental, emotional or physical conditions are completing the balancing needed to make that journey with Earth. We know the suffering this is causing, and how we wish we could do more for you, whom we love beyond your comprehension. But all that is within our province to do is send intense light to relieve the anguish and sorrow and provide spiritual guidance for this lifetime and the next, in spirit. 

Looking ahead, when Earth reaches still higher frequencies, Western medicine's procedures will become history while the use of alternative health care more slowly diminishes, and all of you who are employed in any aspects of these current endeavors will welcome the changes. Along your journey with Earth you will remember abilities and talents that in this moment still elude your consciousness, and when you remember the gratification they once gave, you may choose to enter those fields again. If you wish to keep working in health care, you can use your knowledge, skills and experience to treat or teach souls in other civilizations—astral travel will be safe and commonplace in this part of the universe and “miles” will not be a deterrent. Either way, you will be adding to the storehouse from whence all your knowledge came—the universal mind, where it can be tapped into by inspired souls just as you did yourselves.  

While these developments will be greeted joyously, we do understand that it doesn't satisfy your longing to relieve pain and suffering right now. We encourage you to follow your inner voice, whether the message is to forsake entirely the traditional methods or you are guided to add to your therapy reservoir the various forms of natural healing. If your intuition tells you that patients would be receptive to hearing about soul contract choices and the purpose, tell them; and if not, tell them that science is discovering the body's self-healing mechanisms and about the power of belief and healing intention. And you keep in mind that your efforts can be successful only if it is the patients' soul level choice.

S: Thank you. The next most numerous questions are about the world economy. Basically people are asking about the new foundation for monetary systems, how national resources can be reallocated, how the debts of poor nations will be handled, what will happen if the United States can't pay off its national debt, is the US economy collapsing, is bartering on an international scale part of the plan, and can worldwide economic collapse be avoided?   

MATTHEW: We also see that these are primary concerns. They are natural and logical because it is difficult for you to imagine any system other than what you are accustomed to, and only a comparative handful of people know how corrupt that system is or that international trade, banking and stock markets are manipulated by the Illuminati. Although I cannot give you finite details of the changeover process, I can give you an overview and assure you that the honest, knowledgeable people who will manage the process intend to minimize disruption as they fairly distribute the world's wealth. The “new” foundation for currencies will be a return to an old one, where there actually was a set standard for exchange; now there is only a vague appearance of value as transactions are from computer to computer and the total worth of daily transactions far exceeds the money available to back them. Because the debts of the poorest nations were incurred by desperation and the loans were not used to benefit the citizens, those debts will be annulled. As for economic collapse in the United States, that country's coffers have been empty for some time, and its citizens can only benefit from new economic management. The US national debt is due to the Illuminati's skullduggery in calculating it, and when their Federal Reserve System and its collection arm, the IRS, are dissolved, the actual debt will be manageable.

The unspeakable fortunes illegally amassed by the top Illuminati will be returned to circulation, and since those fortunes enabled them to control governments, banking and multinational corporations, that control will end. Bartering can be an excellent way for nations to conduct some business, just as in small communities, and outright assistance will be given to impoverished countries. Many national borders have been set by the victors in war who wanted the natural resources, and that created “have-nots” who formerly were “haves.” With the light in souls ending all conflicts, borders no longer will be cause for dispute because all peoples will be “haves.” Not only will the Illuminati money be distributed wherever the need is greatest, but their control of natural resources will too, as will the wanton destruction of the environment through oil and gas extraction, mining, logging and pollution. Technologies now suppressed and the more advanced technologies that will be introduced by your universal brothers and sisters will clear the pollution and provide renewable energy and building materials.

Matthew, I'm hearing from people who read articles or channeled messages with various claims: Armageddon is here and the “saved” souls will physically go to a different world; the planet will be taken over by malevolent ETs; the planet will be destroyed by natural disasters or nuclear war; lighted souls will be evacuated in spacecraft and when they return, they will have to live underground; the shift will take 100 more years; only a few million people will survive the planetary cleansing; there will be 3 days of darkness followed by 7 years of famine; future life will be in gigantic spaceships. MATTHEW: Mother, if you asked Hatonn for his comments, I believe he would just say “Hogwash”—not because of his responsibilities in aid of Earth that are monumental in scope and require constant attention, but because that word says it all.

S: Well, thank you both. Matthew, I'm really eager to know your answer to this question: With our multiple lifetimes, what determines our name identification after this life?

MATTHEW: Mother, when we first started communicating, you asked what the souls in Nirvana call me, and you were surprised when I told you, “Matthew—that's my name!” Each experiencing lifetime of the soul is an independent, inviolate god/goddess self—I call that the “personage”—and the name given to the personage at birth is the same when he or she enters the spirit world. A new personage is born for each experiencing lifetime in physicality; and although in the spirit lifetime every personage has access to the knowledge and talents within the total “experiencing pool” of what I call the “cumulative soul,” each personage remains its Self and is known by the birth name. Some parents “get” the name that the soul has chosen, like you did when I was born. However, the cumulative soul usually is called a different name in the higher stations, where the collective experiencing of all that soul's personages is known.

S: Why?

MATTHEW: It is more appropriate—and necessary. Putting this into the continuum where it actually is, a cumulative soul may have 100s or 1000s of personages living simultaneously in many civilizations and stages of evolution, and in different genders, cultures, races and physical forms, or in spirit worlds. So you can see that one name for the cumulative soul is certainly easier than referring to it by all the names of its personages!     

S: OK, but each personage is its own complete soul and a part of God, and not just a part of the cumulative soul that is a bigger part of God—is that right? Matthew, I've never understood this, that one soul has many lifetimes and each life is a completely independent new soul, and all are living simultaneously. I don't understand how you can be in a distant galaxy and still be so close to our family here that you know our thoughts and feelings. Or how Hatonn could jump in the way he did. You have tried to explain these things, but I just don't understand.  

MATTHEW: Mother, dearest soul to me, this isn't understandable at the level of comprehension prevailing on Earth. Until that level rises as your planet travels into the higher densities where the reality is far less complex than any explanation sounds, think of this simply as the Oneness of All, which it IS!

I'm feeling your edginess about space limitations, and I shall end this message quickly, with a request to readers. Envision yourself laughing, your eyes sparkling with excitement and joy, and FEEL the lightheartedness and thankfulness as you see your exuberant self. The beginning of every New Year brings much speculation as to what may be in store. Fortunately most people view it as one of opportunity for positive and beneficial changes. Hopes are high, and that creates energies that can bring about their fulfillment. On behalf of the Galactic Federation I will give you an idea of the likely outcome, as this year is one full of exciting possibilities.

Firstly, the U.S. Government will come under increasing pressure from the people, because of their refusal to name a realistic date for the withdrawal of troops from Iraq. It will help give additional power to those who are preparing ways to remove Bush and his Administration who will be faced with no way out, but will be reluctant to resign. It is therefore difficult to see them lasting the full year out, regardless of any attempts they make to hold onto power. These changes have every possibility of occurring by the autumn, thus leading to the end of the war in Iraq.

Around the end of the summer, the first real signs of dissent will be shown by the people of Israel, over the lack of efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Palestinian problem. It will wake up the authorities to the mounting changes around the world, against allowing the continuation of war. It will result in the laying down of a lasting foundation for peace, and the people will be quick to respond and put their differences behind them.

Gradually the rising demands for peaceful co-existence, will lead to people all around the world putting pressure upon their respective governments and other organizations such as the United Nations. In fact there will be worldwide demonstrations until peace is not only declared, but also seen to be brought into being. The people will not be fooled or accept false promises or hopes, and there will have to be positive moves that can be openly seen to bring peace about.

It is likely that legal wrangling may prolong the outcome of events to bring official world peace. In that case the first major projects of the Galactic Federation may not commence until early 2008. However, we will if necessary be prepared as authorized to enforce peace treaties, to ensure that rebel forces do not break them. We can provide non-violent technology, and ways that can permanently disable electronic and conventional weapons, should attempts be made to use them.

Mother Earth will soon have to release some of the pressures upon her from the build up of negative energies. However, if it is likely to result in any serious threat to the people, they will be moved to safe areas for the duration of the changes. No one will suffer in these circumstances, and any losses will be made good immediately.

After peace is declared, First Contact projects to restore the environment will proceed with all haste. People of the Earth will join the Galactic Federation in operating schemes that will raise living standards very quickly. Initial emphasis will be on the Third World countries in respect of water, food and shelter. However our resources are massive and as such, no one area will be overlooked at the expense of another.

The Masters will return when it is safe to do so and peace has been established. This event might not occur until 2008, as it is by no means easy to bring the various countries together in a common peaceful agreement. Their return thereby brings an important issue into the open, regarding the truth of your creation and connection to the Source. It will be fully explained, along with the purpose of your journey through duality within the lower vibrations. They will also end once and for all, the dissension and disputes that have divided the various religious groups. Those who cannot readily accept the truth and remain attached to their old beliefs, will be honored for their freewill choice. However, they will inevitably delay their growth and opportunity to move onto the path leading to Ascension.

We simply ask you to allow events to proceed while you concentrate on a positive outcome. Your visualization and accompanying energy will help it manifest all the sooner. Ultimately all will work out as foreseen and intended, however remember that predictions rely on the outworking of many different factors. They are affected by people's thoughts, actions, and energies that are pervading Earth at all times, along with those from the higher dimensions. Also in the background are actions that we take, that are calculated to bring the needed changes into fruition. Then again there are the edicts from the High Councils that oversee your evolution, interpreting the Creator's desire to see Man at last emerge from the dark. All of these factors have a bearing on the timing of events, so perhaps you can now understand our reluctance to try and be too precise in our predictions. One that you can however be assured of is that the end of this cycle will come soon, and absolutely no action taken by Man can prevent it.

I am Diane of the Galactic Federation, and my message is one of encouragement to see you move happily into the last few years of what has been a monumental journey for you all. Look to the future and hold your vision always in your heart, and know that the precise details of the final part of your journey are not as important just now as you may think. Just know that you have chosen the pathway out of duality, one that is brightly lit by your growth in consciousness and increase in your vibrations. You are coming together with all others, who have also made their choice to follow it through to Ascension. Your Light illuminates the path that others will follow, you are truly the Wayshowers.

We see a wonderful Light that is blossoming all over the World. Its power is attracting more people who are also opening their minds up to new possibilities, that will lead them away from the old entrenched ideas and attitudes. The year 2007 will be seen as the one when the people took back their power, to mould events to bring fulfillment of THEIR desires. Often we have told you of the hitherto untapped power of your consciousness, but we can see it growing and coming into its own very rapidly.

Time is still speeding up, and it shall result in a quicker response to your wishes for change. We for out part welcome opportunities that will come our way, allowing us to appear more frequently to you. Our presence can be taken as your assurance that everything is under our safe control. Be joyous and walk in the vibration of love, and you will not be touched by the darkness that prevails. It is soon to start disappearing from your midst forever, then truly your Golden Age will appear over the horizon, to lift you up.

May your Love and Light shine out, and ensure that 2007 is one of happiness through your consolidation and the fulfillment of your highest desires.

12/31/06 "Information Clearing House" -- -- The government of France announced early today that former US President George Walker Bush was executed for crimes against humanity, after all his legal appeals had been thoroughly exhausted.

French liberation forces, the very same who invaded the US back in 2003 to bring democracy to the American people, handed the former President George W. Bush over to a newly elected, Vichy-style American administration.

Shrouded in ski masks to conceal their identity, the American executioners, who would later identify themselves only as Northeast liberals, immediately transported their prisoner, a defiant George W. Bush, from his damp, dirty prison cell in the walled-off enclave in Washington, DC, to the gallows at an undisclosed location.

In his hand clutching the same Bible that he had used for his inauguration back in January 2001, Bush remained defiant to the end, declaring the French invasion of the US illegal and those Americans who had collaborated with the hated French "traitors." He called on all his supporters and opponents, Black and White, Christian and Jewish, rich and poor, to unite and expel the French invaders from the North American continent.

After a lengthy trial by a series of judges, approved by Paris, George W. Bush was convicted for crimes committed against his own people while he reigned as governor of the State of Texas in the 1990s.

Bush was condemned to the gallows for executing 152 Texas prisoners using lethal chemicals concealed in hypodermic needles. All 151 men and one woman (Karla Faye Tucker) had proclaimed their innocence and referred to the Texas legal system as old-West, cowboy-style, kangaroo justice. 

Bush, however, cheated history and never stood trial for his alleged international crimes, which stemmed from his illegal invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan. Those actions defied international law and resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, said a spokesman for the French government.

On vacation at his villa in Nice, French President Jacques Chirac issued a brief statement, declaring that justice had been served to the brutal tyrant who enslaved the American people during his long reign of terror: "This is an important milestone in America becoming a democracy that can govern itself." Chirac rejoiced at the collective will of the American people and concluded his brief statement with his customary "Vive la France" patriotic boast.

It was French president Chirac's decision, back in March 2003, to invade the US in order to abolish America's weapons of mass destruction, sever links to terrorist groups-such as Britain's MI6 and Israel's Mossad-and bring peace and security to the special people of French Quebec.  

Chirac often likened the US, along with Israel and Britain, as part of an "axis of evil."

Bush, you'll recall, was captured in a spider hole a few miles from his ranch in Crawford, Texas, back in December 2003. Long-haired, bearded and wearing his trademark cowboy hat, the former US President was shaking and begging for mercy, according to the corporate French media. French troops arrested Bush and mocked the 43rd president of the US with a sarcastic French greeting: "Le Président Chirac envoie ses égards" (President Chirac sends his regards).

Bush supporters, however, dispute this version, and witnesses claim that Bush was brandishing his defiant smirk and, in the spirit of Davy Crockett, resisted the French troops and bravely fought them in hand-to-hand combat as he repeatedly shouted, "God bless America" at the overwhelming French forces.

Soon the French called special elections in America, citing the illegitimacy of the Bush regime that, they claim, had seized power in 2000 in a fraudulent election. The newly formed US government, modeled on the French parliamentary system, ended years of tyranny inflicted on the American people who, proclaimed Chirac, are now free to enjoy the freedoms that the French people have always enjoyed.

To date the French have spent over 300 billion euros and lost 3,000 soldiers, along with nearly 25,000 wounded, in their special sacrifice to guarantee security for France, bring peace and democracy to the good and well-deserving American people, and free them from the tyranny of the Bush regime and his cabal of neo-Con terrorists.

Some skeptics, however, claim that the invasion of America had nothing to do with French security, freeing the American people or eliminating 10,000 nuclear weapons the US possessed at the time of the invasion. Rather it was to extend French hegemony on the North American continent; control the vast American natural resources; replace the Petrodollar with the PetroEuro as the world's reserve currency, and provide security and prosperity for the newly formed, break-away nation of French Quebec. Having seceded from Canada after years of persecution through Anglo-American racism and bigotry, the democratic French nation of Quebec emerged as the only democracy on the entire North American continent, claimed Chirac.

On the streets of American cities, the reaction to the execution of the former American president was mixed.

While many traditional liberal Democrats despised the 43rd president, they remained perplexed and conflicted at the seemingly illegitimate trial, which defied international law and had all the earmarks of French manipulation. The former American system, wherein all men are presumed innocent, has been replaced by a newly inspired French system, modeled more on Robespierre than on Madison, noted one American, who wanted to remain anonymous.

To most of the American people, the sight of their former president, hanged by a puppet-like government whose strings are pulled in Paris, was both troubling and humiliating. True, according to recent opinion polls, 71% of Americans despised the tyrant Bush, but 90% of Americans, despite being "liberated" by the French from the illegal, illegitimate and dangerous Bush neo-Con regime, hate the French so much more.

The devout Christian supporters vowed to intensify their resistance to the French occupation and praised Bush as a martyr. The hanging of Bush, like the hanging of John Brown back in 1859, said one, will serve as a lightning rod for war. A spokesman for Chirac chuckled at the remark, suggesting that John Brown was a terrorist who, like Bush, had been brought to justice with a rope around his neck. He referred to the American Civil War, which took place from 1860 to 1865, as well as to the chaos caused by the 2003 French invasion as simply "sectarian strife." Stuff happens, he quipped.

The French corporate media appeared gleeful as it rolled macabre, grainy video footage of the final minutes of the former US President's life. French politicians declared another corner has been turned in their divinely inspired mission to free the American people from the tyranny of the Bush regime, the British collaborators and all those Judeo-Christian fascists.

On the streets of Paris, though, it was still Paris Hilton's exploits rather than George Bush's execution that remained the most important news of the day. This, of course, was only eclipsed by the recent decrease in the price of petrol and the record stock market close of the French CAC 40.

The citizens of France cannot grasp the ingratitude of the American people for the sacrifices made by the French in blood and treasure on their behalf. They claim the Americans are not worthy of democratic self-rule, citing hundreds of years of their savagery towards Native Americans, African Americans, a bloody civil war, internment of Japanese Americans and countless race riots throughout America's turbulent history.  
"Can't these people just get along?" noted one French pundit.

George W. Bush has received the justice he denied to his victims, said a determined Jacques Chirac. When asked if the execution of the former US president was manipulated by Paris rather than being the will of the American people, Chirac dodged the question by reciting the lyrics from a song by Bob Dylan.
 
"Remember," he said, "the executioner's face is always well hidden."
 
Yes, "and it's a hard rain that's gonna fall."

The Voice of the White House

Washington, D.C., January 5, 2007: “Working in the White House is like working in the monkey house in a zoo when all the primates are loaded with uppers.

A number of lower staffers have abruptly quit, Harriet Myers has quit and others are going the same way. Now why is this? Because it is now very obvious that Bush has lost his marbles, if he ever had any, and we are headed into a major governmental crisis.

Bush has absolutely no intention of leaving Iraq. Any general officer who disagrees with his stupid “surge” is promptly fired and others warned that Bush will fire them if they open their mouths. The brass at the Pentagon and the troops in the field are approaching open mutiny.

There are very serious rumors that National Guard and reserve units will not show up for shipment to the slaughterhouse. Bush has told Congress that they will do what he tells them and if they do not, he will refuse to sign any of their bills he does not approve of and refuse to implement anything they try to pass over his head.

He has deliberately antagonized the new Congress and when he is told that the people want an end to the Iraq horrors, he claims the public still want him to “stay the course.”

Hate mail and death threats are pouring in here in unprecedented numbers and the Secret Service can’t begin to keep up with them. There is no question that very soon, there will be a major confrontation between Bush on one side and the military and Congress on the other. And be sure Bush will lose.

No one seems to know what to do about Bush. He will listen to no one and could care less what the American public wants. What he wants is to hang the remaining Saddam crew, launch a huge military attack in Baghdad, level parts of that city that he personally feels should be leveled, kill off anything that moves, replace the current Iraqi government with a pliable military dictator like Saddam and then come home in what he considers will be a great triumph.

A Republican Senator recently said that what Bush was doing was criminal. It is and now both Congress, the military and a growing segment of the American public are beginning to realize that Bush has to be removed, by force if necessary, from his high office.

I have talked with some of the staff members who are in his presence on a regular basis and all of them say, without reservation, that he has gone around the bend. The Pentagon brass have nicknamed him Caligula and there is a very strong possibility of open revolt from that sector. Troops in the field are seriously talking about mutiny but if Bush knows about this, he could care less.

The plain and simple truth, children, is that our President is a fanatic nut and has absolutely no business running a war. Whatever happens to him will be entirely his fault and I am looking for another job starting this afternoon.”

"Surge in US Forces" without Congressional Approval Violates US Constitution (January 6, 2007)

Concerning the proposed 'surge' by the Bush administration of 20,000-plus U.S. troops into Iraq, this requires further authorization by the U.S. Congress under the terms of the War Powers Resolution. Section 4(a)(3) makes it quite clear that the War Powers Resolution is triggered ... 'In the absence of a declaration of war [which we do not have for Iraq], in any case in which United States Armed Forces are introduced ... (3) in numbers which substantially enlarge United States Armed Forces equipped for combat already located in a foreign nation....'We currently have about 140,000 troops in Iraq. Sending in an additional 20,000-plus would 'substantially enlarge' those forces. Therefore, the Bush administration would require further authorization from Congress for this euphemistic 'surge,' which is really a substantial escalation. Failure to obtain additional authorization from Congress for this substantial enlargement of U.S. Armed Forces in Iraq would constitute an impeachable offense under the terms of the United States Constitution for violating the Constitution's War Powers Clause.

Saddam is Hanged for His Crimes: Who will Hang Bush/Blair for Theirs?

A kangaroo court (the so-called High Iraqi Tribunal) had sentenced Saddam Hussein, his half-brother Barzan Ibrahim, and the former chief justice of the Revolutionary Court Awad Hamed Al-Bandar to be hanged within 30 days. Yet the US administration, in a rash decision, pressured the Al-Maliki government to hang Saddam on Saturday the 30th of December, the first day of Islamic religious Addha holiday, in a blatant violation of the religious beliefs and laws of all Islamic countries, which ban the execution of any criminal during this holiday. The hanging also violated the Christian spirit of Christmas, and the Iraqi constitution penned down by Bremer. It exhibited spirit of vengeance. Sparing the life of Ibrahim and Al-Bandar clearly shows that Saddam's hanging was intent on demonizing Muslims in Iraq and around the World as well as inciting increased sectarian violence within Iraq.

Saddam's death sentence was decided a long time ago, in the late 1980's when he refused to open up Iraqi assets (and oil reserves) to Western corporations, when he invaded Kuwait, and when he subsequently took the decision to convert Iraq's reserve funds from Dollars into Euros.

Several assassination attempts had been planned, but failed miserably. The failed Dujail assassination attempt was one of such attempts, which resulted in the execution of 148 Shiites. Finally under the lies of alleged possession of WMD, "the freeing of Iraqis", and the "spreading of American democracy" British and American forces invaded Iraq in 2003.

Saddam was originally a CIA asset, recruited to assassinate the previous Iraqi president Abdel-Karim Qassem, who started taxing British and US oil companies as a first step in an attempt to nationalize Iraq's oil resources. After failing to assassinate Qassem, and being wounded in the process, Saddam escaped to Egypt, where he routinely visited the US embassy in Cairo.

Later when the CIA was able to topple Qassam's presidency, Saddam was sent back to Iraq to take on the position of Head of National Security. He later became president with the backing of the US. Saddam installed as head of State to prevent the nationalization of Iraq's oil industry as well as to quell the Arab Nationalist Movement in Iraq, integrated by Shi'a, Kurdish and Sunni Iraqis.

In the wake of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Saddam was pressured by Washington to wage war on Iran. Kissinger's famous statement "let them kill each other" describes the real nature of this eight years' war. The US administration supported both sides. It provided Saddam with weapons and intelligence, while also covertly supporting Iran. The US military industrial complex profited tremendously from the Iraq-Iran war.

The Arab Gulf rulers supported Saddam and handed him the necessary money to pay for his war against Iran. When the war was over Kuwait refused to forgive Saddam's wartime debt. It also opposed to increase the price of oil, as Saddam had proposed in OPEC with a view to financing Iraq's war debts. This confrontation ultimately led to the invasion of Kuwait and the 1991 Gulf War I carpet bombing of withdrawing Iraqi troops. Although it was possible to topple Saddam's regime at that time, the US adminstration feared this would break their alliance with the frontline Arab states.

There is no question that Saddam was a ruthless dictator, like most of the Arab rulers, who were handed their political positions after WWII to keep the Arab World divided and separated, and to subdue their people. Yet with all his ruthlessness and despotic rule he enjoyed public support for the political positions he took. He built Iraq into the most technologically advanced Arab country. Next to the Palestinians, Iraqis were the most educated in the Arab world. Primary education was compulsory, higher education was free. Women's rights progressed in the context of secular Muslim state. Unlike the rest of the Arab rulers, the Iraqi government provided real homes rather than dirty refugee camps for Palestinian refugees. He also sent money to Palestinian fighters resisting Israeli occupation. Besides his support to Palestinians, Saddam stood defiant towards Israel, the US and Iran; he dispatched Iraqi tanks to protect Syria from Israeli attacks, gave Jordan support in the form of monetary and oil grants, resisted US demands in the wake of the Gulf War. 

Although Saddam was ruthless towards any form of political opposition, much like most Arab rulers, whose crimes and tortures have not yet been exposed, his government, nonetheless, provided for the average Iraqi citizen. 

The Hussein regime formally provided "security and safety" where people could walk the streets without fear of crimes.

The government also provided food rations while under the US sponsored sanctions regime following Gulf War I. Within a few months after the end of the first Gulf War, the Hussein government started rebuilding Iraq's civilian infrastructure, which had been destroyed by US bombings. This included roads and bridges, power stations, water desalination facilities, educational centers, and governmental services.

Saddam was tried by a kangaroo Iraqi Special Tribunal, whose judges had been specially assigned by the US military authorities. Its judges had been changed few times, and several of Saddam's lawyers were assassinated. This Tribunal convicted Saddam for crimes allegedly perpetrated in Dujail against 148 Iraqis, who were originally tried and sentenced to death by a legal Iraqi court for their alleged assassination attempt against president Saddam. The Tribunal overlooked Saddam's other more severe crimes, often perpetrated in cooperation with successive US administrations, which supplied his regime with weapons and intelligence.

Bush/Blair War Crimes

There can be no double standards in assessing war crimes. Hanging should also be the sentence for Bush and Blair, for:

1. causing the death of almost 700 thousands mostly civilian Iraqis during the last three years of US occupation, the destruction of all Iraqi civilian infrastructures,

2. the collapse of all civilian services,

3. triggering the departure into several hundred thousand Iraqis, fleeing Iraq and becoming refugees in foreign countries,

4. the bombings of various religious shrines,

5. the tearing of the Iraqi social fabric and the incitement of civil war,

6. the theft of Iraqi's oil national resources,

7. the looting of cultural treasures,

8. the massacre of civilians including women and children,

9. the use of illegal weapons, such as depleted uranium and phosphorus bombs, against whole cities and the burying thousands of victims in massive graveyards,

10. the nightly raids against civilian homes and the kidnapping of people including women and children,

11. the spreading of terror, insecurity and chaos within cities,

12. the imprisonment of thousands of innocent people in massive encampments, torturing, humiliating, raping, and murdering of innocent civilian prisoners, and many other war crimes.

The invasion of Iraq, in itself, is a war crime. The invasion was based on lies and fabrications; Iraq did not have WMD, did not support terrorists, and did not pose any threat to its neighboring countries or to the Western world as claimed by the US administration.

"Freeing Iraqis" and "spreading American democracy" were the underlying falsehoods used to justify a terrorist war against Iraq. and its population. The UN Secretary Kofi Annan, in his resignation speech, called the war on Iraq an "illegal act that contravened the UN charter", thus making the war a supreme international crime. Annan also declared that Iraq under the rule of dictator Saddam was much better off than under the American democracy.

Bush and Blair. waged an illegal war, with a view to steeling Iraqis natural resources including its extensive oil reserves. They, and their administrations, caused the deaths of almost a million people within a period of three years.

They had caused the destruction of a whole country. They spread terror not only in Iraq but in the entire Middle Eastern region. They legalized torture, rape, and murder of prisoners.

They kidnapped citizens of other nations and sent them to be tortured in prisons scattered around the world.

They not only terrorized and caused the deaths of citizens of other nations, they also terrorized their own citizens,

They derogated their human and civil rights through imposing draconian laws such as the Patriot Act,

They legalized surveillance and ethnic profiling, the imprisoned their own citizens, based on ethnic on religious background labeling them "foreign combatants', trying them with undisclosed evidence, terrorizing their citizens with imaginary enemies.

They sent their young men and women to fight an illegal war in Iraq and Afghanistan..

They dramatically curtailed all types of social services, while channelling tax dollars to the military industrial complex.

Billions of dollars from the public purse, financed by tax payers, allegedly designated to financing "postwar reconstruction" and "spreading American democracy", were channelled into the bank accounts of large corporations such as Halliburton and Bechtel.

Saddam Hussein was hanged on the orders of a US sponsored Kangaroo court. Who has the authority to hang Bush, Blair and company for their crimes?

When War Business Rules The World

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron.

It's been over thirty-three years since Eisenhower's powerful message and yet the obscenity of the war business continues stronger than ever. Take a recent decision by the Bush Administration to sell F-16 Fighter Jets to Pakistan while at the same time offering to sell the same jet fighters to India, always a potential adversary. Moreover, selling weapons to both sides of a conflict has become standard policy. Data compiled by the Federation of American Scientists shows that since1992, the U.S. exported well over $150 billion worth of weapons to states around the world.

The data also reveals the macabre world arms market is dominated by the U.S., followed by Russia, China, United Kingdom, and scores of other nations wanting their share of this death for profit business.

The truly astronomical money comes from the annual military budgets with the U.S. far in the lead, actually spending nearly as much as all other countries combined. For 2006 the U.S. military (defense) budget came to $426 billion, including $17.5 billion for nuclear weapons, and this does not count the cost of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The cost of modern weapons is staggering and immensely profitable. The largest weapons company, Lockheed-Martin, had sales in 2005 amounting to $37.2 billion (this 50 percent higher than the annual United Nations budget for all of its programs). And just think of all the missiles, bombs, etc., that will be replaced for
profit by the armament industry after the U.S. military assault on Iraq. This conflict is longer than U.S. involvement in World War II, and has transformed Iraq into a nightmare of violence.

There's no business like war business!

The Department of Defense announced plans to spend $1.4 trillion, yes trillion, on 70 new weapon systems over the coming years. Moreover, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that between 2012 and 2014 the Pentagon budget will have to grow between 18 and 34 percent over the 2006 budget.

No Business Like War Business - A few examples:

Cruise missiles cost over $500,000 each. The CVN-21 aircraft carrier will cost an estimated $13.7 billion. A smaller George H.W. Bush Nimitz-class aircraft carrier will cost $6.1 billion. The new Virginia-class submarine is estimated to cost $2.5 billion each, and a new guided missile destroyer, Arleigh Burke class will cost over $1 billion each. The new F-22 jet fighter, manufactured by Lockheed-Martin, will cost $335 million each, and the Pentagon plan is to purchase 183 F-22s. The FIM-92A Stinger, which is an individual shoulder fired lightweight guided missile, costs $6 million each. The U.S. armament industry is the second most subsidized industry after agriculture.

Profits are up; ethics are down as war business goes into orbit

The next frontier for the war business is space with the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Space Command, General Joseph Ashy, concisely stating its overall purpose: "It's politically sensitive, but it's going to happen. Some people don't want to hear this and it sure isn't in vogue, but-absolutely-we're going to fight in space. We're going to fight from space and we're going to fight into space. That's why the U.S. has development programs in directed energy and hit-to-kill mechanisms. We will engage terrestrial targets someday-ships, airplanes, and land targets from space." (From Aviation Week and Space Technology).

Today, scientists and engineers in the weapons industry are working with Pentagon contracts to develop space-based weapons scheduled for deployment10 and more years from now. The Rand think tank reports weapons under development include space-based lasers, microwave guns, particle beam weapons, and kinetic-energy weapons.

Another weapon is Space Rods, sometimes called "Rods of God" that would be delivered to targets on the earth from orbiting space platforms. Jack Kelly, Post-Gazette National Security Writer, reports the rods would be made of tungsten around 20 feet in length and a foot in diameter. The rods could be guided by satellite to targets on Earth, striking at speeds of around 12,000 feet per second that would destroy hardened bunkers several stories beneath the surface.

Just imagine our world with weapons orbiting the planet 24-hours every day blocking our last frontier. Is this the end of freedom and human dignity as we gaze to the stars and mystery of the universe, and at the same time, see orbiting lights that are platforms loaded with weapons?

If civilization is to survive and progress, the militarization of space must be stopped, the nuclear weapons industry abolished in every country, and world's largest criminal activity, the war business with its economic, political, and cultural manifestations put permanently out of business.
There is no alternative to stop our planet from becoming a final arsenal of mass destruction.

With apologies to Irving Berlin's Broadway hit, 'There's No Business Like Show Business," we should collectively sing this grim refrain--without restrain--in Ethel
Merman style--but without the smile:

There's no business like war business-- like no business so low

Everything about it is appalling-- everything that greed will allow

Nowhere do you get that sickening feeling-- as when their selling arms like now

There's no people like war people-- they smile as they make dough

Whether selling guns or tanks-- its adds money in their banks

That pays politicians in their ranks--so they can go on with the show

To the worldwide audience: We must pull down the curtain on the war business show. It has lasted far too long and we can no longer tolerate, nor can civilization long endure, the show's merchants of death and architects of destruction. Together we must be the bright light of hope and resolve that obliterates the black business of war by creating conditions where future disputes between peoples and nations (and dealing with terrorists) are settled through the framework of world law.

There is no alternative if we are to survive and move forward to create a better and just world, and a new civilization based on respect for life, respect for each other, and respect for the environment.

Revealed: Israel Plans Nuclear Strike on Iran

Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran's uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons.

Two Israeli air force squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using low-yield nuclear "bunker-busters", according to several Israeli military sources.

The attack would be the first with nuclear weapons since 1945, when the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Israeli weapons would each have a force equivalent to one-fifteenth of the Hiroshima bomb.

Under the plans, conventional laser-guided bombs would open "tunnels" into the targets. "Mini-nukes" would then immediately be fired into a plant at Natanz, exploding deep underground to reduce the risk of radioactive fallout.

"As soon as the green light is given, it will be one mission, one strike and the Iranian nuclear project will be demolished," said one of the sources.

The plans, disclosed to The Sunday Times last week, have been prompted in part by the Israeli intelligence service Mossad's assessment that Iran is on the verge of producing enough enriched uranium to make nuclear weapons within two years.

Israeli military commanders believe conventional strikes may no longer be enough to annihilate increasingly well-defended enrichment facilities. Several have been built beneath at least 70ft of concrete and rock. However, the nuclear-tipped bunker-busters would be used only if a conventional attack was ruled out and if the United States declined to intervene, senior sources said.

Israeli and American officials have met several times to consider military action. Military analysts said the disclosure of the plans could be intended to put pressure on Tehran to halt enrichment, cajole America into action or soften up world opinion in advance of an Israeli attack.

Some analysts warned that Iranian retaliation for such a strike could range from disruption of oil supplies to the West to terrorist attacks against Jewish targets around the world.

Israel has identified three prime targets south of Tehran which are believed to be involved in Iran's nuclear programme:

• Natanz, where thousands of centrifuges are being installed for uranium enrichment

• A uranium conversion facility near Isfahan where, according to a statement by an Iranian vice-president last week, 250 tons of gas for the enrichment process have been stored in tunnels

• A heavy water reactor at Arak, which may in future produce enough plutonium for a bomb Israeli officials believe that destroying all three sites would delay Iran's nuclear programme indefinitely and prevent them from having to live in fear of a "second Holocaust".

The Israeli government has warned repeatedly that it will never allow nuclear weapons to be made in Iran, whose president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has declared that "Israel must be wiped off the map".

Robert Gates, the new US defence secretary, has described military action against Iran as a "last resort", leading Israeli officials to conclude that it will be left to them to strike.

Israeli pilots have flown to Gibraltar in recent weeks to train for the 2,000-mile round trip to the Iranian targets. Three possible routes have been mapped out, including one over Turkey.

Air force squadrons based at Hatzerim in the Negev desert and Tel Nof, south of Tel Aviv, have trained to use Israel's tactical nuclear weapons on the mission. The preparations have been overseen by Major General Eliezer Shkedi, commander of the Israeli air force.

Sources close to the Pentagon said the United States was highly unlikely to give approval for tactical nuclear weapons to be used. One source said Israel would have to seek approval "after the event", as it did when it crippled Iraq's nuclear reactor at Osirak with airstrikes in 1981.

Scientists have calculated that although contamination from the bunker-busters could be limited, tons of radioactive uranium compounds would be released.

The Israelis believe that Iran's retaliation would be constrained by fear of a second strike if it were to launch its Shehab-3 ballistic missiles at Israel.

However, American experts warned of repercussions, including widespread protests that could destabilise parts of the Islamic world friendly to the West.

Colonel Sam Gardiner, a Pentagon adviser, said Iran could try to close the Strait of Hormuz, the route for 20% of the world's oil.

Some sources in Washington said they doubted if Israel would have the nerve to attack Iran. However, Dr Ephraim Sneh, the deputy Israeli defence minister, said last month: "The time is approaching when Israel and the international community will have to decide whether to take military action against Iran."
