Fleet of one hundred UFOs hovers above Sacramento (USA)

On Sunday 22nd July 2007, in broad daylight at 1.58pm Pacific Daylight Time, a fleet of one hundred UFOs was observed to be hovering at an altitude of two thousand feet above Roseville, Sacramento, California (USA). The fleet was in an ordered formation of two lines. They were close enough to the ground to be seen reflecting the sunlight. The initial report came from Dr Richard Boylan and Army Sergeant Justin Johnson. It was posted on several reliable alternative news sites around the web - for example here and here. Why isn't this 100-craft sighting being reported by the local Californian media? It would seem to be the most important UFO manifestation in America since the Phoenix lights in 1997.

The unidentified flying objects lit up the otherwise clear night sky above Shakespeare's birthplace in Warwickshire on Saturday. Hillary Potter from The British Earth Aerial Mystery Society (BEAMS) said they were being inundated with similar calls from across the country but said it was rare for such phenomena to be witnessed by so many people. She said: "Such incidents have been on the increase recently. There are reports at the moment coming in from all over the country. "We've had many reports of people seeing quite large unidentified objects in the skies. It's not going away, It seems these incidents are becoming more bold. "People don't know what to do when they witness such sights and that's what we're here for. We take the reports very seriously."

The strongest evidence so far that some crop circles are not manmade was presented to a choice gathering at the Coronation Hallin Alton Barnes yesterday. Norwegian film maker Terje Toftenes presented the DVD he has made of the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the creation of a massive crop formation in East Field, Alton Barnes, on July 7, 2007.Most formations are discovered the morning after and some have even been created in fields with observers sitting on overlooking hills. But on the morning in question, dedicated UFO hunter Winston Keech had a battery of cameras, from CCTV to state-of-the-art digicams, trained on the field on the off chance that something might happen. (...) At around 1.35 am on July 7 Mr Keech, helped by Mr King, completed the last sweep of the area using a camera equipped with night vision. No formation was visible in the field. Then it became intensely dark and nothing was seen. But at 3.13 am there was a flash of what Mr Keech described as sheet lightning. It appeared on the video footage and lasted four microseconds. Twenty minutes later, at 3.20 am, there was enough light to make out the formation in the field below. It was one of the largest ever seen. "The potential for disaster is very great."If the dam does fail, a wall of water will sweep into Mosul, Iraq's third largest city with a population of 1.7 million, 20 miles to the south. Experts say the flood waters could destroy 70 per cent of Mosul and inflict heavy damage 190 miles downstream along the Tigris.The dam was built between 1980 and 1984 and has long been known to be in a dangerous condition because of unstable bedrock. "The dam was constructed on a foundation of marls, soluble gypsum, anhydrite, and karstic limestone that are continuously dissolving," said specialists at the US embassy in a statement. "The dissolution creates an increased risk for dam failure."In fact the state of the two-mile long earthfill dam, which holds back some eight billion cubic metres of water in Iraq's largest reservoir, has recently been deteriorating at ever-increasing speed. The arms and aid package, which the officials said is to be announced on Monday, is part of a U.S. initiative to reassure worried allies in the Middle East that despite its troubles in Iraq, the United States remains committed to the region. Korey Rowe, 24, a veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq, was picked up by deputies at about 10:45 p.m. Monday, Otsego County Sheriff Richard Devlin Jr. said.Rowe, along with Dylan Avery and Jason Bermas, are members of Louder Than Words, a production company that is working on a third edition of the movie "Loose Change," which contends the U.S. government was involved in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. President Robert Mugabe's government has set prices for sugar, flour, cooking oil and meat below the cost of production. So there are gaping spaces under the signs for those goods."Everything is stopping," said an illegal money changer, explaining the sudden fall in demand for foreign currency and the rising value of the Zimbabwean dollar. While Mr Mugabe seems to be ignorant of the basics of economy, the regime appears to be preparing to seize firms in the same way that it destroyed the country's commercial agriculture by confiscating White-owned farms. Businessmen describe the price-control policy as "organised looting" and say the ruling Zanu-PF party has embarked on a "scorched earth" programme. The prospects for almost all ordinary Zimbabweans - those not connected to Zanu-PF - are dire. The Gulf War Veterans came back with DU in their clothing, bodies, and semen. These were people who had “normal” babies before they went over there – now they are running 67% birth defects. It took us 30 years to prove that lung cancers were related to smoking, we seem to have the same kind of denial going on with the use of DU. The Army is in a difficult place because DU is an incredible weapon – it is a superior weapon for destroying an enemy’s tanks and society. DU is the most devastating weapon we have. Unfortunately, it is another form of nuclear warfare. According to Dr. Caldell from Australia, Leuren Moret, a Geoscientist who works almost around the clock educating citizens about this issue, has one of the best bio- physics and humanitarian understanding of the issue. She is talking about the genetic future of humanity, which is at risk from the use of DU. She points out that vast regions around the world, as well as in our atmosphere are contaminated with DU. It's astonishing that the Canadian Nuclear Association is allowed to falsely advertise nuclear energy as "clean." Pro-nukes want us to believe nuclear energy, in contrast to coal, doesn't produce greenhouse gases (GHGs). This is nonsense. From mining to milling to enrichment, from reactor construction to decommissioning, nuclear uses vast amounts of fossil fuels. Expansion of nuclear power would involve mining lower-grade ore; this would require even more fossil fuels. And consider this: all Saskatchewan uranium exported to its biggest customer -- the U.S. -- is enriched by two dirty coal plants in Kentucky. That nuclear energy is being promoted for the production of Alberta's heavy oil should put to rest the nonsensical view it is a magic bullet for solving global warming. And there is nothing "clean" about the radiation -- of which there is no safe level -- that nuclear spreads, from uranium tailings to reactor wastes. Plutonium remains toxic for 800 generations. Then, there is the undeniable weapons connection. Depleted uranium from enriched Saskatchewan uranium is raw material for the U.S. military. More gorillas have been killed during the past year in Virunga National Park than are known to have been killed during the worst years of the war. With only around 700 mountain gorillas left in the world -- more than half of them in Virunga National Park -- each death equates to something like a massacre. The hippo population in the park has declined from 28,000 to fewer than 350, according to conservation groups. "These killings are part of a worrying trend," said Emmanuel de Merode, who co-founded WildlifeDirect with the paleoanthropologist Richard Leakey. "We are not sure exactly why, but we are extremely concerned the situation is getting worse." Even so, the rangers keep working with the hope that if the fighting ever stops, the park might again attract tourists; in neighboring Rwanda, gorilla-viewing is a multimillion-dollar-a-year business. What is triggering such abroad decline and die-off response to entire suites of plant and tree communities? Whether in forest lands, in public parks, along rivers and streams,in watered areas, golf courses or on private property, our trees are showing signs of major health problems or dying in record numbers. In some areas the majority of trees have died and left entire watersheds in jeopardy. Allan Buckman, a former Associate Wildlife Biologist, Central Coast Region, California Department of Fish & Game, has been seeing vegetation changes and climate shifts over wide areas of Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake Counties, in California, for several years, that are not normal to this area. As a wildlife biologist, recently retired from assignment in Sonoma and Lake Counties, Mr. Buckman completed field reviews of projects, land acquisition, and animal census over wide areas within these counties, and has had over 35 years of field experience here and in the North Bay areas of California. Mr. Buckman noted: " In the past I have seen localized die-off of plant communities from a myriad of sources, and there tends to be a trend toward one to several problems at a time, and it varies year to year. But I have never seen the present condition of wide spread impact to almost all special in all areas from a wide assortment of insects, fungus, molds, mildews, bacteria and virus. I have seen areas where every tree and shrub in a drainage area has some form of health problem "Mr. Buckman took vegetation samples from one such area in Lake County, from chamise, ceanothus (buck brush), red bud, laurel,yellow willow, black willow, elderberry, leather oak, black oak, blue oak, interior live oak, walnut, Yerba Santa, Manzanita, and toyon.Mr. Buckman, " found similar sites in Sonoma County that included live oak, valley oaks, ceanothus, chamise, pears, apples,plums, roses and a number of ornamentals. The " larger question of just exactly why they are all infected, and what it is that could trigger such a broad response to an entire suite of plant communities " remains unanswered. (...) Trees are being cut down in record numbers across the United States without anyone doing the studies to determine why these trees are dying and what is causing this problem. Fires are burning hotter and are more devastating since the late 1980s, and the dying of the trees is certainly aggravating this situation. Mr. Buckman noted: "I think we are in for big changes, and I think we should be on this 'like a duck on a June bug'. I think this is as serious as it gets, and we need to act quickly to document the facts and take corrective actions " (...) What is the common dominator for deteriorating tree health in so many areas of the United States? Air pollution, white haze, climate change, increasing UV radiation, higher humidity caused persistent jet contrails, jet fuel emissions, lack of sunlight from persistent aging contrails or climate change produced by persistent jet contrails? There are over 50+ weather modification programs ongoing, according to NOAA records, in the United States. What impact does this chemical manipulation of our weather have on the regional micro-climates that are needed for tree, plant, and agricultural crop health? Artificial weather modification through the use of chemicals can impact all of us by reducing water supplies, changing agricultural crop production cycles, reducing crop production, and water availability. Since most experimental weather modification programs use chemicals released into the atmosphere the public could be subjected increasingly toxic or unknown substances that could adversely impact agricultural crops and trees. Global dimming and the persistent contrails, that produce man-made clouds, may have serious impacts on crop production. A recent corn crop study in Illinois shows that cloud cover reduces corn crop production while direct sunlight increases production. The dead and dying trees, dead branches, impacted shrubs and bushes is turning some of our forests into torches when touched by fire. Why are our public officials ignoring this problem not taking tree ring and soil samples to find out why are trees are stressed and dying? Ozone in smog will accentuate global warming this century as it will damage plants and trees that help soak up carbon emissions, a study says. Its authors fear a major factor in the climate-change equation has been badly overlooked. They say ozone at ground level is damaging the ability of plants to absorb the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide (CO2) and so limiting their ability to act as carbon sinks. As a result, more CO2 will build in the atmosphere instead of being taken up by the land, which in turn will stoke global warming and thus worsen climate change, the researchers report today online in the journal Nature. In the stratosphere, a thin, naturally-occurring level of ozone is a vital shield for life on earth, providing a shield against DNA-damaging ultraviolet. But at ground level, it is a pollutant, brewed in a reaction between fossil-fuel gases and sunlight. Ozone has long been known to be a risk to health by damaging the airways, but recent research has also highlighted its damaging effect on vegetation. The gas enters plants through respiratory pores, called stomata, in the leaves. It then produces by-products that crimp efficiency in photosynthesis, leaving a plant that is weak and undersized. Efforts to figure out how fast-rising levels of ozone will affect forests have been hampered by a nasty confounding factor. (...) Unlike CO2, which spreads around the planet's atmosphere, ground-level ozone pools nearer to its source, with North America, Europe, China and India high on the list of polluted regions. In pre-industrial times, ozone was 17 parts per billion. Today, it is 35 parts per billion and is on course for 54 parts per billion by the end of the century, says Sitch.

"The benchmark was 1947, and this has already exceeded it." Gone without a trace or decipherable reason. Losses are ranging from 30 to 60 percent on the West Coast. Some beekeepers lost more than 70 percent on the East Coast and in Texas. David Bradshaw, a beekeeper in Visalia, Calif., was shocked this spring when he opened his boxes and found half of his 100 million bees missing."I've never seen anything like it," Bradshaw, 50, said from an almond orchard that was just beginning to bloom. "Box after box after box are just empty. There's nobody home."Honeybees do more than make honey. A Florida man may have accidentally invented a machine that could solve the gasoline and energy crisis plaguing the U.S.. [John] Kanzius, 63, invented a machine that emits radio waves in an attempt to kill cancerous cells while leaving normal cells intact. While testing his machine, he noticed that his invention had other unexpected abilities. Filling a test tube with salt water from a canal in his back yard, Kanzius placed the tube and a paper towel in the machine and turned it on. Suddenly, the paper towel ignited. Kanzius performed the experiment without the paper towel and got the same result -- the saltwater was actually burning. [He] said he showed the experiment to a handful of scientists across the country who claim they are baffled at watching salt water ignite. Kanzius said the flame created from his machine reaches a temperature of around 3,000 [°F]. He said a chemist told him that the immense heat created from the machine breaks down the hydrogen-oxygen bond in the water, igniting the hydrogen. "You could take plain salt water out of the sea, put it in containers and produce a violent flame that could heat generators that make electricity, or provide other forms of energy," Kanzius said. He said engineers are currently experimenting with him in Erie, Pa. in an attempt to harness the energy. They've built an engine that, when placed on top of the flame, chugged along for two minutes. Kanzius admits all the excitement surrounding a new possible energy source was a stroke of luck. Someone who witnessed his work on the cancer front asked him if perhaps the machine could be used for desalinization."This was an experiment to see if I could heat salt water, and instead of heat, I got fire," Kanzius said.

Asia floods show climate change risks ahead-UN
COLOMBO, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Climate change threatens to bring further flooding, droughts, fires and landslides and the world must invest now to mitigate damage from natural disasters, the UN's top aid official said on Wednesday.
With tens of millions of people displaced in India and Bangladesh after severe flooding, nations should examine ways to protect vulnerable populations, John Holmes, UN Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs said in an interview.
"It's the worst we've seen for 50, 60, 70 years and we're beginning to see a pattern of flooding around the world," Holmes told Reuters during a visit to war-torn Sri Lanka. "There is an enormous problem because climate change is a reality already... We need to anticipate it and not just respond to it."
"Floods, droughts, fires, landslides, these are already happening in larger numbers than ever before, and I think the link with climate change is well proven."
Sri Lanka has escaped the floodwaters choking its South Asian neighbours, but is grappling with its own aid problems. Renewed civil war between the state and Tamil Tiger rebels is hindering delivery of aid to tens of thousands displaced by the conflict and 2004 tsunami.
The latest bout of monsoon flooding in India, which began about three weeks ago, is said to be the worst in living memory in parts of the impoverished state of Bihar, where around 10 million people have been affected alone.
About 545 people have been killed in the floods, mostly by drowning, disease and snakebites. More than 50,000 people are suffering from diarrhoea in the flood-hit districts of Bangladesh, authorities said.
The United Nations is encouraging governments to set up disaster management authorities as well as education campaigns to ensure measures are in place for future disasters.
"I think if you invest in disaster risk reduction, and what that means is not building on flood plains, having shelters for people to go to, recognising the problems before they happen and anticipating them, that investment is one of the best investments you can make," he added.
Holmes fears that climate change-related natural disasters will pile increasing pressure on a world already short of funding to cope with existing humanitarian disasters.
"I think there will be a problem in the future about the scale of the resources," he said. "We never have enough money for the humanitarian crises we have already."

South Asia on Brink of 'Health Crisis' After Floods

Aug. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Millions of villagers hit by monsoon floods across northern India, Bangladesh and Nepal are "days away from a health crisis,'' as stagnant waters become a breeding ground for disease, the United Nations said.
About 30 million people have lost their homes or livelihoods after monsoon rains and melting Himalayan snow caused rivers to burst their banks, the UN Children's Fund, Unicef, said in a statement yesterday.
Floodwaters "are a lethal breeding ground for diarrheal and waterborne diseases at potentially epidemic levels,'' Marzio Babille, Unicef's health chief in India, said in the statement, adding malaria and dengue fever are among the threats. "Children, who make up 40 percent of South Asia's population, are particularly susceptible.''
Monsoon rains between June and September are essential for agriculture in South Asia and cause annual flooding. This year's monsoon rains have been of a "startling magnitude and intensity'' and caused the region's worst floods in living memory, Unicef said.
Almost 20 million people have been affected in the Indian states of Assam, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, the agency said. Hundreds of thousands of people are camping on highways, railway tracks and rooftops to escape the floods, many without clean drinking water.
Indian Death Toll
The floods have killed 1,428 people in India since the monsoon season began in June, the country's national disaster management agency said yesterday, Agence France-Presse reported.
Sonia Gandhi, president of the ruling Indian National Congress party, and Home Minister Shivraj Patil visited Bihar yesterday where floods have inundated 2.7 million acres (1.1 million hectares) of farmland, AFP said. The state has asked the government for 2 million metric tons of wheat and rice to feed people affected by the floods, the news agency added.
In Bangladesh, a low-lying delta nation, 8 million people have been affected, according to Unicef. Twenty-six rivers are flowing above danger levels and 1.2 million acres of cropland have been damaged. Diarrhea, cholera and skin diseases are spreading.
At least 328 people have died in Bangladesh because of floods and landslides since the monsoon season began, AFP reported, citing the government.
In the past eight days, at least 18,300 people were admitted to hospital with diarrhea, the news agency said, citing health spokesman Aisha Akhter.
Flooding across Nepal has affected more than 300,000 people, mostly in rural areas of the Terai along the southern border with India, Unicef said. Floods, landslides and disease have killed 95 people in the Himalayan kingdom, the agency said yesterday.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is "deeply saddened by the hundreds of lives lost'' and "concerned by the economic devastation faced by the survivors,'' his office said in a statement yesterday.

President Bush's post-terror ["False Flag Operation - ED.] attack martial law plan is so shocking that even sitting members of Congress and Homeland Security officials are barred from viewing it, another example of executive über alles and a chilling portent of what is to come as constant reminders of the inevitability of terror attacks reverberate.
Congressman Peter DeFazio (D - OR) was asked by his constituents to see what was contained within the classified portion of the White House's plan for operating the government after a terrorist attack.
Since DeFazio also sits on the Homeland Security Committee and has clearance to view classified material, the request would have appeared to be routine, but the Congressman was unceremoniously denied all access to view the documents, and the White House wouldn't even give an excuse as to why he was barred. "I just can't believe they're going to deny a member of Congress the right of reviewing how they plan to conduct the government of the United States after a significant terrorist attack," DeFazio told the Oregonian on Friday.
"We're talking about the continuity of the government of the United States of America," DeFazio says. "I would think that would be relevant to any member of Congress, let alone a member of the Homeland Security Committee."
"Maybe the people who think there's a conspiracy out there are right," DeFazio concluded.
The article also quotes Norm Ornstein, a legal scholar who studies government continuity at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, who told the paper he "cannot think of one good reason" to deny access to a member of Congress who serves on the Homeland Security Committee.
"I find it inexplicable and probably reflective of the usual, knee-jerk overextension of executive power that we see from this White House," Ornstein said.
The only plausible reason DeFazio was barred access to the documents is that the plans for a post-terror attack continuity of government scenario are so abhorrent that to reveal their true nature would cause a public outcry and lead to a major repeal of what is contained in the documents.
What we already about Bush's recent spate of executive orders, and in particular PDD 51, is bad enough - the provisions outline preparations for the implementation of open martial law in the event of a declared national emergency.
New legislation signed on May 9, 2007, declares that in the event of a "catastrophic event", the President can take total control over the government and the country, bypassing all other levels of government at the state, federal, local, territorial and tribal levels, and thus ensuring total unprecedented dictatorial power.
It is important to understand that, although these powers have been on the books for previous presidents, Bush is the first to openly brag of the fact that he will utilize them and officially become the supreme emperor of the United States in the aftermath of a catastrophe that the government itself has said will happen on innumerable occasions.
According to columnist and author Jerome Corsi, the power grab assures that "The president can declare to the office of the presidency powers usually assumed by dictators to direct any and all government and business activities until the emergency is declared over."
Also in May,it was reportedthat a high-level group of government and military officials has been quietly preparing an emergency survival program named "The Day After," which would effectively end civil liberties and implement a system of martial law in the event of a catastrophic attack on a U.S. city.
Last year we also exposed the existence of a nationwide FEMA program which is training Pastors and other religious representatives to become secret police enforcers who teach their congregations to "obey the government" in preparation for a declaration of martial law, property and firearm seizures, and forced relocation.
The documents that Congressman DeFazio was blocked from seeing likely interlock with both these programs and detail the overarching agenda to effectively nullify what's left of the U.S. Constitution and firmly ensconce George W. Bush as a supreme dictator.
Only by putting enough pressure on the media and in turn the White House to be transparent about what the secret martial law provisions are can we lead an effort to repeal them before the next terror attack, whether real or manufactured, takes place.

The Threat Of Martial Law Is Real

07/27/07 "ICH" -- -- The looming collapse of the US military in Iraq, of which a number of generals and former generals, including former Chief of Staff Colin Powell, have warned, is happening none too soon, as it my be the best hope for preventing military rule here at home.
From the looks of things, the Bush/Cheney regime has been working assiduously to pave the way for a declaration of military rule, such that at this point it really lacks only the pretext to trigger a suspension of Constitutional government. They have done this with the active support of Democrats in Congress, though most of the heavy lifting was done by the last, Republican-led Congress.
The first step, or course, was the first Authorization for Use of Military Force, passed in September 2001, which the president has subsequently used to claim-improperly, but so what? -that the whole world, including the US, is a battlefield in a so-called "War" on Terror, and that he has extra-Constitutional unitary executive powers to ignore laws passed by Congress. As constitutional scholar and former Reagan-era associate deputy attorney general Bruce Fein observes, that one claim, that the US is itself a battlefield, is enough to allow this or some future president to declare martial law, "since you can always declare martial law on a battlefield. All he'd need would be a pretext, like another terrorist attack inside the U.S."
The 2001 AUMF was followed by the PATRIOT Act, passed in October 2001, which undermined much of the Bill of Rights. Around the same time, the president began a campaign of massive spying on Americans by the National Security Agency, conducted without any warrants or other judicial review. It was and remains a program that is clearly aimed at American dissidents and at the administration's political opponents, since the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court would never have raised no objections to spying on potential terrorists. (And it, and other government spying programs, have resulted in the government's having a list now of some 325,000 "suspected terrorists"!)
The other thing we saw early on was the establishment of an underground government-within-a-government, though the activation, following 9-11, of the so-called "Continuity of Government" protocol, which saw heads of federal agencies moved secretly to an underground bunker where, working under the direction of Vice President Dick Cheney, the "government" functioned out of sight of Congress and the public for critical months.
It was also during the first year following 9-11 that the Bush/Cheney regime began its programs of arrest and detention without charge-mostly of resident aliens, but also of American citizens-and of kidnapping and torture in a chain of gulag prisons overseas and at the Navy base at Guantanamo Bay.
The following year, Attorney General John Ashcroft began his program to develop a mass network of tens of millions of citizen spies-Operation TIPS. That program, which had considerable support from key Democrats (notably Sen. Joe Lieberman), was curtailed by Congress when key conservatives got wind of the scale of the thing, but the concept survives without a name, and is reportedly being expanded today.
Meanwhile, last October Bush and Cheney, with the help of a compliant Congress, put in place some key elements needed for a military putsch. There was the overturning of the venerable Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which barred the use of active duty military inside the United States for police-type functions, and the revision of the Insurrection Act, so as to empower the president to take control of National Guard units in the 50 states even over the objections of the governors of those states.
Put this together with the wholly secret construction now under way--courtesy of a $385-million grant by the US Army Corps of Engineers to Halliburton subsidiary KBR Inc--of detention camps reportedly capable of confining as many as 400,000 people, and a recent report that the Pentagon has a document, dated June 1, 2007, classified Top Secret, which declares there to be a developing "insurgency" within the U.S, and which lays out a whole martial law counterinsurgency campaign against legal dissent, and you have all the ingredients for a military takeover of the United States.
As we go about our daily lives--our shopping, our escapist movie watching, and even our protesting and political organizing-we need to be aware that there is a real risk that it could all blow up, and that we could find ourselves facing armed, uniformed troops at our doors.
Bruce Fein isn't an alarmist. He says he doesn't see martial law coming tomorrow. But he is also realistic. "Really, by declaring the US to be a battlefield, Bush already made it possible for himself to declare martial law, because you can always declare martial law on a battlefield," he says. "All he would need would be a pretext, like another terrorist attack on the U.S."
Indeed, the revised Insurrection Act (10. USC 331-335) approved by Congress and signed into law by Bush last October, specifically says that the president can federalize the National Guard to "suppress public disorder" in the event of "national disorder, epidemic, other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident." That determination, the act states, is solely the president's to make. Congress is not involved.
Fein says, "This is all sitting around like a loaded gun waiting to go off. I think the risk of martial law is trivial right now, but the minute there is a terrorist attack, then it is real. And it stays with us after Bush and Cheney are gone, because terrorism stays with us forever." (It may be significant that Hillary Clinton, the leading Democratic candidate for president, has called for the revocation of the 2002 Authorization for Use of Military Force against Iraq, but not of the earlier 2001 AUMF which Bush claims makes him commander in chief of a borderless, endless war on terror.)
Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT), chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has added an amendment to the upcoming Defense bill, restoring the Insurrection Act to its former version-a move that has the endorsement of all 50 governors--but Fein argues that would not solve the problem, since Bush still claims that the U.S. is a battlefield. Besides, a Leahy aide concedes that Bush could sign the next Defense Appropriations bill and then use a signing statement to invalidate the Insurrection Act rider.
Fein argues that the only real defense against the looming disaster of a martial law declaration would be for Congress to vote for a resolution determining that there is no "War" on terror. "But they are such cowards they will never do that," he says.
That leaves us with the military.
If ordered to turn their guns and bayonets on their fellow Americans, would our "heroes" in uniform follow their consciences, and their oaths to "uphold and defend" the Constitution of the United States? Or would they follow the orders of their Commander in Chief?
It has to be a plus that National Guard and Reserve units are on their third and sometimes fourth deployments to Iraq, and are fuming at the abuse. It has to be a plus that active duty troops are refusing to re-enlist in droves-especially mid-level officers.
If we are headed for martial law, better that it be with a broken military. Maybe if it's broken badly enough, the administration will be afraid to test the idea.

WHY is the contingent of Blackwater mercenaries in Iraq so large and well-armed, why are they operating in the USA while the majority of our constitutionally provided military are deployed on foreign soil in the middle of a civil war our President started?
What loyalties do Blackwater mercenaries have in the event of a civil emergency per Bush's qualifications (whims) and the imposition of martial law under his foul executive order? It's not bloody likely they've sworn to uphold the US Constitution, now, is it?
Why exactly is the back of the US ground forces being broken over there? Is it really oil and defense contracting, or is that just the icing on the cake in the oven?

How else can we reinstate the legitimate power of congress?

So what happened?
They were stopped in Iraq by men with guns. End of story.
Will it be different at home? I hope so, but who knows?
Leftists, liberals and Libertarians are great at pointing out the details of Bush’s attack on the Bill of Rights---but to what end? For more recriminations and hand-wringing?
We don't need that. We know the problem and we know the solution---Bush must go.
I could be wrong, but I think that revolution is coming---and it’s coming sooner than you think. The American people have been hoodwinked and intimidated for a long time, but we’re reaching a tipping point where public outrage will overpower fear. And that’s what revolution is---organized rage directed at the government. That’s why they want to keep us apart, and spy on us, and follow our every movement. They want absolute power. It’s their dream. It is the dream of evil men everywhere. But it will fail---because everything they’ve tried so far has failed. And because the culture of freedom is stronger than the cynical schemes of demagogues.
We need to see we’re not alone. We need to understand that 70% of the American people feel just like us. They’re mad. Mad at the war, mad at congress, mad at Bush. And we need to stay mad---mad as hell until things change. And they’ll only change if we work together.
But first we have to get mad.

This is about as serious as it gets. There have been many assaults on our freedom in the last few years, but none with such totality and finality as this. We must draw the line in the sand on this issue. The American people must re-discover their indignation, get off their couches, and send a tsunami of protest to Washington. Here are three things you can do:
1. If you don't already know the name and contact information of your Congressman and Senator, look it up in Google. Send them a short but explicit message to the effect that you expect them to (1) introduce or support fast-track legislation to rescind the Executive Order issued July 17 relating to blocking property of those who disagree with President Bush's policy in Iraq and (2) call for impeachment of the President NOW.
2. Make a list of every organization, publication, journalist, web site, talk-show host, and community leader who understands the significance of this Executive Order and send it to us at ge.griffin@verizon.net so we can build a coalition of activists on this issue. Also send them a note or call them in person to urge them to align with the coalition and take action.
3. Send this message to everyone you know.
That's it. There is no need to explain why this is important, and there is nothing that can be said that would be more motivating than the stark possibility of a police state in which citizens lose their property if they disagree with der Fuhrer (the Leader).
Drop everything else and do this NOW.

Is Cheney Preparing For a New 9/11 Incident?
July 20, 2007 (LPAC)--As the leading politicians in Washington continue to "fake it," day by day the danger of the imposition of a full dictatorship in the United States, linked to an expanded World War IV, grows greater. Already, Cheney (and Bush) have made it clear that they consider themselves the law, as Hitler did, and will not comply with any Congressional oversight, or instruction, demonstrating that it's a total waste of time for the Congress to debate and pass resolutions on war policies. Only a full-fledged impeachment drive, which will, in the best case, lead rapidly to Cheney's resignation, can be effective in saving the Constitution, and the nation.
However, as the LaRouche Youth Movement and LaRouche PAC have found in their organizing, especially where they have turned Congressmen around to sign on to the impeachment bill, there is a full-scale revolt in the population against the failure of Congress to act. Out in the boondocks, the majority wants the impeachment of Cheney. Instead of screaming about the inactivity of the Congress, effective organizers should be focussing on and mobilizing in the boondocks. When the Congressmen return home in August, they will be confronted by a population in revolt, and right where we want them -- susceptible to pressure. Organizing in the boondocks is crucial in this period. But if we know this, we have to assume that Cheney and his controllers do as well. Thus the question posed by former Reagan Administration official Paul Craig Roberts in his recent interviews and columns, which has also been picked up in the Russian press, is relevant: Is Cheney preparing for a new 9/11 incident, in order to try to whip the American people back into malleability? We don't know that that's what they're planning, but the danger is clearly there. The first 9/11 almost worked to get a full-fledged dictatorship, but not quite. The question is, will they try again?
Roberts is also right on in identifying the stupidity of the Democrats who think that keeping Cheney in place will "help'' them in the 2008 elections. As LaRouche asked before, what makes them think there will be elections? Roberts puts it well: The Cheney faction in power has "no belief in the people or anything like that.... The Constitution is in the way.... Americans need to comprehend and look at how ruthless Cheney is.... A person like that would do anything." In fact, LPAC has written the book on that.
In the face of such a proven fascist, it looks like Congress has had surgery, and lost their guts in the process.
In organizing to prevent the "Guns of August," it is important to inoculate the American population against such a 9/11 scenario, which Roberts has called a "false-flag" terrorist attack, which could be used as a pretext, and which LaRouche has also warned against in connection with the BAE scandal. The best way to prevent a new 9/11? Lock Cheney up, put him in prison -- maybe Guantanamo.
Clearly, history hangs in the balance over these next few weeks. Get out LaRouche's webcast invitation ("The Politicians are Faking") far and wide, and build the July 25th webcast. FDR Democrat LaRouche is going to issue orders to the so-called leading political figures of our nation--and the troops have to be at the ready, to ensure that they are carried out.

Peter DeFazio and the Portland Nuke

False Flags
About a quarter hour into my half hour interview with her Wednesday, Penny Dodge, chief of staff for Oregon's Congressman Peter DeFazio, asked me what a "false flag" attack was. I explained it in a few words.
A false flag attack is one in which you attack your own people, then blame it on a group of people you want to attack. It's a radical stratagem for instantly creating hatred, and it's common, historically speaking, all the way from ancient to modern times. For example:
*The Roman Emperor Nero burned Rome, then blamed it on emerging Christianity.
*The German Fuhrer Hitler burned the Reichstag, then blamed it on communist Jewry.
*The American President Bush demolished the World Trade Center, then blamed it on radical Islam.
At present, "false flag" is a highly relevant term, as Ms. Dodge and her boss Rep. DeFazio have learned from their constituents back home in Oregon. Folks in the Pacific Northwest, especially around Portland, believe that they may be the victims of a false flag attack by the Bush Administration under cover of an upcoming government terror exercise, Operation Noble Resolve.
Atomic August
As I pointed out in my column last week, Next 9/11, Summer 2007?, Operation Noble Resolve, to be conducted in August, will involve extensive mobilization of Homeland Security and U.S. military forces to simulate a wide range of catastrophic terror events in Oregon. The grand finale will be the simulation of a ten kiloton atomic bomb in Portland.
But what if they decide to use a real bomb rather than simulate it?
No doubt 99 percent of the participants in Noble Resolve believe it is a mere readiness exercise, but what if one percent -- inserted by Bush cronies -- believe it is the perfect cover for setting off a real nuke? This is, after all, what happened on 9/11/01, when U.S. military commands were simulating terror airline strikes on U.S. skyscrapers -- which is exactly what happened. It's also what happened on 7/7/05, when London police were simulating terror subway strikes -- which is exactly what happened. The criminal one percent effectively hijacked those exercises while the 99 percent of honest participants were as shocked as the general public, and simply carried on with the scenario they had been practicing, which had now become "live."
When the horrific events that government exercises are supposed to be practicing against turn out to be the exact events that occur, then it is insanity to continue to put blind faith in the motives of the government. On the other hand, it is highest sanity to document, organize, and protest against a possible false flag attack, as the constituents and congressional folk of Oregon are now doing.
Prayers for Portland
An effective grassroots movement is growing in Oregon, and it has pushed Congressman DeFazio in the right direction. Early summer anxiety by his constituents concerned him little, as he then issued assurances that all was on the level with pending federal terror exercises, and the recently enacted National Security Presidential Directive 51, which allows Bush to establish a dictatorship if there is a catastrophic natural event or terror attack.
DeFazio's assurances didn't convince his constituents, though, and soon they didn't even convince him. Just to make sure that everything was on the level with NSPD-51, he asked to see the secret annexes of the document. This was his right as a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, and in his 20 years in Congress he had never been refused access to classified documents.
There's a first time for everything, though. After initially granting DeFazio permission to check into NSPD-51, the White House reversed itself on 7/18/07, and refused to let him take a look. Friday, DeFazio, along with House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bernie Thompson and Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Chris Carney, sent a letter to the White House. In it, they demand the access so far denied DeFazio -- or a written explanation as to why access has been refused -- by Thursday. This is the day before Congress -- and Congressman DeFazio -- recess and return to their home districts to answer emphatic questions.
Portland has more than a prayer if it and the rest of Oregon keep up the pressure on their local, state and national leaders. At this stage of the Bush regime and its terror-driven global war, there's no shame in conspiracy theory, since it's the only theory that offers consistent, coherent answers to our growing secret government and its terror policies.

AMERICA MOVES IN Bush is set to meet with Harper and Calderon (Pres of Mexico) this Aug 20 and 21 in Montebello Quebec to solidify the pact.
