"Take spiritual principles and pour them into political actions, as did Gandhi. It’s about freedom, not control. --- We can’t sustain a democracy without courage. What are we doing to diminish fear and increase courage in our lives? Courage is the power of the human heart to create new possibilities, to change the world, and to open paths where previously there were none. -- Something of spirit informs everything that is of matter."

Remains May Be of Oldest Walking Hominid (March 6)
A team of U.S. and Ethiopian scientists has discovered the fossilized remains of what they believe is humankind's first walking ancestor, a hominid that lived in the wooded grasslands of the Horn of Africa nearly 4 million years ago.

Dear Jean,

I cannot thank you enough for all of the valuable information you send, the time you devote to research and compiling information, and you kind heart that keeps us all moving in the right direction. I especially want to thank you for the Dolphin/Whale Meditation Compilation that you sent out today. It couldn't have been more appropriate in timing. I live in Key Largo, FL and as you told your e-list we just had a huge mass stranding of Rough Toothed Dolphins in Marathon. They are a deep water species and rarely seen in a stranding. It is still to be determined whether or not the mass standing was due to "Red Tide" or possibly due to sonar testing by the Navy. And as your latest Meditation Focus said, it appears that the Navy ship "USS Philadelphia" was in the area last week off Key West when the stranding happened. Apparently the Navy is "LOOKING INTO THE MATTER!" Most of them have been moved to the Key Largo Marine Mammal Conservancy property. There were originally 50-60 dolphins that stranded. 7 of the dolphins died upon beaching, 10 more were euthanized due to their level of suffering. 2 were moved to a research center in Miami. 27 were moved from Marathon to Key Largo yesterday. 2 of them have died as of my last visit.  3 more are in deep distress.

Luckily, at the moment, we have many tourists in town that are filling (temporarily) the tremendous need for volunteers to watch over so many dolphins. This is the FIRST TIME IN HISTORY that this many mammals have been transported successfully. MMC is TOTALLY run by volunteers and donations. The expense of this rescue is beyond imagination!

I am writing to you in hopes that your beloved readers will consider a small donation to help us keep the dolphins alive and support MMC in other ways that are behind the scenes and beyond description. As was stated, we need money for Pedialyte, fresh fish for the ones healthy enough to consume it, and many other nameless expenses.

I am so thankful for all of you who participated in the Meditation, and am in HIGH hopes that you will always remember our soul brothers and sisters in the sea who are a true reflection of the world right now. If I could implore anyone to do anything, it would be SPEAK LOUDLY AND CLEARLY TO YOUR GOV'T OFFICIALS TO STOP THIS INSANITY!! NOW!!

Many thanks for your time and please continue to send your love and healing energy to our brothers and sisters in the sea, and the law makers who need to understand that power and greed are NOT the answer.

Blessings to you, Jean, and to all your readers.

UN Marks International Women's Day

08 March 2005

The United Nations today marked International Women's Day throughout its many agencies and across its multiple front-line outposts around the world with calls for bolder action to promote gender equality and events ranging from a cancer prevention workshop in Colombia to a hairdressing contest in Russia to a rights seminar in Uganda.

"New challenges have emerged," Secretary-General Kofi Annan said in a message, noting the tangible progress that has been made since the Beijing conference on eliminating gender discrimination 10 years ago.

"Consider the trafficking of women and children - an odious but increasingly common practice. Or the increasing targeting of women in armed conflict. Or the terrifying growth of HIV/AIDS among women - especially young women," he added, stressing the crucial importance of women's empowerment.

"No other policy is as likely to raise economic productivity, or to reduce infant and maternal mortality. No other policy is as sure to improve nutrition and promote health - including the prevention of HIV/AIDS. No other policy is as powerful in increasing the chances of education for the next generation. And I would venture that no policy is more important in preventing conflict, or in achieving reconciliation after a conflict has ended," he declared.

In the very trenches of conflict itself, in Iraq where the UN is seeking to help bring a peaceful transition to democracy and answer numerous educational, health and social needs, the role of women was held up as a shining example. "Despite the burden that war has placed upon them, Iraqi women remain the force that binds this nation together," Mr. Annan's Special Representative Ashraf Qazi said in a message in Baghdad.

"Through their continued efforts, I am confident that the women of Iraq will succeed in bringing peace and stability to their communities and thereby to the country," he added, praising their role in recent elections, in developing hundreds of civil society organizations and continuing to work despite threats against their lives and their families.

In camps around the world the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) organized a plethora of activities with a focus on education and leadership. In Apartadó, Colombia, where fighting between Government and militia forces has driven thousands from their homes, it was holding a workshop on cancer prevention and reproductive health. In Moscow, it organized a conference for Afghan, Iraqi and Nigerian refugee women and asylum seekers to discuss their return options and work opportunities, with a hairdressing contest as part of a training project to help them become more self-reliant.

In Uganda, UNHCR was conducting sensitization seminars on women's rights, girls' education and sexual and gender-based violence, while in Sierra Leone's Kissy Town refugee settlement it was hosting a panel on empowering women for sustainable development in sectors like education, employment, food security, health and HIV/AIDS.

In Kenya's Kakuma camp the agency was organizing a talk for refugee women to express their views on the possibility of returning to war-torn south Sudan, and in Nepal winners of a poster competition for the elimination of violence against women were receiving T-shirts with the slogans such as "You educate a woman, you educate a community," and "Men and women are two wheels of a chariot."

Agency heads rallied with messages to throw their support behind the momentum for gender equality.

"Yet, while we celebrate progress, we know that it has been too slow. Thirty years after the beginning of the Decade on Women, and 10 years after Beijing, it is still a woman's face we see when we speak of poverty, of HIV/AIDS, of violent conflict and social upheaval, of trafficking in human beings," Noeleen Heyzer, Executive Director of the UN Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) said. "To break the cycles of poverty, violence and gender discrimination, we need to accelerate progress and expand its reach."

The World Food Programme (WFP) stressed the need to ease the burden of women in their traditional tasks such as collecting food while the International Labour Organization (ILO) underscored its commitment to the promotion of gender quality and more and better jobs for women.

The UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) threw the spotlight on systematic rape and sexual violence against women and girls during armed conflict while the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) noted that women are disproportionately affected by natural and weather-related disasters.

The overall message was summed up by the Executive Director of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), Thoraya Ahmed Obaid.

"Let us assert once again that each woman and girl is a unique and valuable human being who is entitled to equal opportunities and universally adopted human rights, no matter where she is born or where she lives. Now is the time to energize efforts to put gender equality at the top of the international peace and development agenda," she declared.

Worldwide Face Effects of Bush's Gag Rule Women (07 March 2005)
Tuesday is International Women's Day, a worldwide celebration of women's fight for equality and human rights. In light of this commemoration, it is especially disappointing that the Bush administration is working so hard to restrict women's rights. Ten years ago, a landmark U.N. conference in Beijing adopted a platform seeking to establish global equality for women. Along with recommendations on issues such as domestic violence and education, the platform states women should be able to "decide freely and responsibly on matters related to their sexuality ... free of coercion, discrimination and violence." It also asserts that abortion should be safe in places where it is legal and criminal charges should not be filed against women who undergo illegal abortion. On Feb. 28, more than 100 countries and 6,000 advocates for women came together for a follow-up meeting to that conference. At the meeting, participants had planned to review progress made on women's rights. They had hoped to focus on pressing issues like political participation, sex trafficking and HIV/AIDS. Instead, they have been focused on the Bush administration's attempts to derail progress toward gender equality. CLIP

The contemporary Western tenet that we are alone in the universe, conversant only with ourselves, is, in fact, a minority perspective, an anomaly.

Establishing a New Science of Human Experience

By Dr. John Mack Lecture Transcription for Audio tape Florence Italy November 16th 2003

Thank you to the Gruppo Academico Scandicci GAUS and Paola Harris for inviting me to Florence for this conference. What I'd like to do first is give an overview of the so-called Abduction phenomena and lead into questions of how do we know or what are the ways of knowing when we are dealing with something this strange . I also will discuss the implications of this and phenomena like this for our world. I am a Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst and I have a special interest in extraordinary experience. I'd like to discuss how our language shapes the experience. For instance, words like "abduction" and alien shape the conversation a certain way. The word "abduction" is off in two different ways. First, it implies that every person who has this encounter experience is taken against his or her will like an abduction in human terms. It also implies that each person who has an experience is physically taken, the whole body is taken up into a craft, which is also not true in all instances.

Another aspect of contact is transferring information to humans telepathically or showing us images. A lot of this information has had to do with what our species are doing that is destructive to our planet. It is as if what we are doing ecologically with the planet is creating some kind of larger problem in the Galaxy. Also "the Experiencers" are given certain skills, certain capabilities that they were not given in their schooling. For instance, they may discover that they may have a great artistic ability that comes from this contact. Also they may have been given important mathematical and scientific knowledge that goes way beyond anything they learned in school and yet they are downloaded the most complicated mathematical formulas and when the scientist and physicists recognize that there is truth coming from these individuals and sometimes more than the physicists themselves know, they recognize it as genuine. I have personally seen many examples of these.

I'd also like to speak about the question of evidence, how do we know that this experience is true? How do we evaluate these reports and how do we determine truthfulness. For example, when I evaluate, I become clear that people of sound mind have no reason for making up this story. It is sure that they did not get it from the media because often they know more than the media. But there is something missing in what we have to evaluate or determine when a person tells us a story so bizarre whether he/she is telling the truth and whether we should take them seriously. But as yet we have had no criteria to evaluate the truth of such encounters. So I am working on just this and I'm just beginning to establish a science of Human Experience.

Now in traditional science when we observe certain phenomenon, we bring some objectivity to what we have studied. But when you are trying to understand something so profound and important to a person you can not stand back but you must enter "into "the consciousness of that person. So what the critics will say "what you are learning is too subjective" here is the problem, if you are going to learn about something this profound, then the learning needs to be "intersubjective." So still there is the problem of discovering the truth. If I say it just feels like they are telling the truth, then this is not enough. So we have to start with the "holistic way of knowing". This is close to what we know as intuitive knowing. It is like a knowing of the heart and a knowing of the spirit that has been part of traditional cultures for hundreds and thousands of years but has been lost in the west.

I received some help in this matter from Vatican representative Monsignor Corrado Balducci who says "we in the church take this UFO Encounter Phenomena very seriously and the reason for that is, that there seem to be so many reliable witnesses. In the church, we have had centuries of having to evaluate miraculous reports by some kind of criteria and so they had to develop the notion of the "reliable witnesses."

So I began to apply this idea of the reliable witness to these cases. How do we know who is a reliable witness? For my cases, it not only had to do with the fact just that these people who were trustworthy reported something but it had to do with the power of their communication that came across to me. I would experience with these people when they would be reliving their experience, the most powerful vibration. I was in the presence of something awesome in its intensity. The experiencers themselves would give language to that. They would say something like "every cell in my body was vibrating"! When you are in the presence of that, it passes your judging mind and you feel it in your whole being.

Going back to "What is a reliable witness", it has to do with a resonance between the person who is reporting or sharing the experience and the clinician. It might be called "a direct knowing". You just know that with your whole being that this person is telling the truth. There are other examples of this "direct knowing" as demonstrated when the Tribunal that was hearing testimony of the torture in Bosnia questioned witnesses. The judge said after hearing the testimony of a particular woman about how she was tortured." I do not need any more testimony". I can just tell that it is not possible that she is not telling the truth. That is sufficient.

Now everyone knows torture exists. That is accepted. But it is not accepted in our society that these UFO encounters exist. Therefore you need to have evidence of a pattern of such similarities that is showing up in hundreds, if not, thousands of cases. One of these experiencers is helping me out with this statement she made about witnesses. " When a witness speaks, all recognize that they have been in another realm. Sincerity and truth and power of spirit are just as measurable as inches and pounds but not in the same way." It is ironic that experiences like alien abduction encounters, UFOs, Crop Circles, and near-death experiences are called anomalies. In another words, in our culture, what lies outside the realm of the cultural agreement, about what is real is called anomalous.

Therefore a huge amount of human experience is called anomalous when I have discussed this with Native Americans, and they say it is not anything anomalous. We know about this. It is part of the human experience.

Establishing a new "worldview"

In the last minutes, I want to talk about matter of a worldview and how it works. It has always been referred to as a paradigm and it has more of a scientific ring to it. But I prefer to call it worldview because it refers to something bigger. A worldview is the way we organize reality. It is the way we believe things work. In a way, it is like an instrument of navigation. Our worldview is what holds the human psyche together. What I came to realize with that Harvard Committee was that I was threatening the scientific medical world View by which they were living. What has been the dominant worldview in our society could be called Newtonian-Cartisianism or anthropocentric humanism. It is a worldview that puts the human being as the top of the cosmic hierarchy of intelligence.

The simplest term for this is, is that which I call "scientific materialism." In this world view, matter and energy is the primary reality and there is no larger intelligence in the Cosmos. The principle method of study is objective reality which separates the investigator from the matter that is being investigated. Now in recent years, this view, which has dominated our society, is failing. It is failing in every important element that the worldview is supposed to serve. First there is a huge amount of phenomena, which it can not explain nor deal with. There is no method of study for many things that we are talking about today. Secondly, it leads to terrible destructiveness because it treats the entire planet as simply physical resources to fight over by who are the most powerful and most important countries. Thirdly, "scientific materialism" does not give human beings any real satisfaction. It leaves us without spirit and it leaves us with an empty feeling. Because all it has to offer are more and more material things

Now we have new emerging worldviews that are different. In this worldview, there is intelligence dwelling in the universe. That experience which happens to my clients is one example of the intelligence dwelling in the universe and the beings that have come to my clients are another example. The Crop Formations are also evidence of this intelligence that is trying to communicate with us. Also it is a model of the universe and us in it which says that everything is connected with everything else and we know that "cutting edge" physics is supporting this worldview. So it includes not only new ways of knowing but it also involves a spiritual awakening.

This change which is happening around us is met with enmity and a great deal of resistance because there's a huge psychological economic and political investment in maintaining the Old World view. I will give you one examples of the UFO resistance because books being written which discuss this new paradigm are being called "new age, pseudoscientific, psychocentric, in order to dismiss them out of hand because some people who write such books do not hold themselves responsible to any scientific standards whatsoever.

I will conclude by speaking about the implications of this new worldview. We see around us all kinds of forces which are supporting the emergence of this way of thinking. People around the planet are opening up to new ways of thinking. Groups, like the GAUS (GRUPPO ACADEMICO UFOLOGICO SCANDICCI), are committed to the new emerging paradigm.

How would this planet be different if the emerging world view became the dominant worldview? We would be connected to all living beings not just those around us, and with all nature and spirit which would make it impossible for us to treat nature in such a exploitative way. For example, we would be able to identify with other peoples, other religions and with all animals so we would not treat them just as products to consume. With this deeper reality, we could appreciate that we are connected to the Divine, the creative principle which would be more fulfilling than the material focus that has been so dominant today.

So it would be global like a "global awakening of the heart" instead of global exploitation, a word that has that connotation today. I might add "opening of the heart" has been a fundamental aspect of alien encounter experience I learned from my dealing with experiencers. Sometimes experiencers get information from these beings that we are not just a menace to the Earth but we are a menace to the Galaxy. In conclusion, as this emerging paradigm this emerging world view, takes hold, we might become more responsible citizens of a galaxy instead of becoming the eminent menace we appear to be!

Hey guys.......for those of you who are interested......Tom Kenyon is a pretty interesting and awesomely intelligent man. I took a workshop from in back in 1996... he has done a lot of research on sound and brain waves and brain states... and is not "woo-woo" in an unscientific way at all... the basic message I get from this (which I have been getting but certainly helps to get the reminder and to be reminded that how we live affects the "Whole") is to live life in appreciation and gratitude every moment you can muster AND to muster it when you can't.

Many blessings and love,

Libby Gordon-Dartez Writes>

I am delighted to say I have booked in to two very powerful workshops in July and October 2005. I have been an admirer of Tom Keyons for quite a while and especially after reading The Magdalen Manuscript and the book on the Hathors - a very loving race living "out there". Below is a message from Tom. His website is

It is very sobering yet another reflection of the week David and I have just returned from in Mexico. I urge you to read this in great seriousness and do not dismiss it as "too way out". Tom Kenyon is way too sensible and grounded for this. I am sending this message on to many people who will think I have "lost it"... to me, this is a message of responsibility and hope... not fear.

A Message from the Hathors and Tom Kenyon

Tom Kenyon January 2, 2005

The Big Island, Hawaii

We have been besieged by an unprecedented number of requests from many people for my take on the recent earthquake/tsunami disaster in Asia. Quite frankly, I find such requests a bit unnerving—as if someone might be giving my thoughts more credence than they deserve. In any event, I went into meditation a few days ago to sense what might be in the ethers, so to speak, and in that process I asked the Hathors (who are interdimensional beings I have been working with since the early nineties), what they thought. They told me to go back and read something they had given me seven months earlier. When I did, I was stunned.

The message below is what they gave me last June (2004). It addresses a wide range of issues, including future Earth changes. At the time I found it too disturbing to release to the public. The last thing I wanted to do was add to the New Age glut of Earth prophecies, dooms day scenarios and general millennium madness. I decided, for better or worse, to wait it out, and see if any of what they foresaw actually took place.

Now, as I sit in the pouring rain at Kealakekua Bay in Hawaii, several days after the earthquake and tsunamis in Asia, I am sobered by what the Hathors told me back in June. Given the nature of their message, I wanted to talk about it a little in order to give it a broader context.

For those of you who don't know who the Hathors are, and would like a little more info, you can hop up onto the web and do a search for Hathors (not to be confused with the Egyptian fertility goddess, Hator—though they are related)*. There are many people now working with the Hathors in one way or another. For the record, I work with thirteen mentors out of an intergalactic/interdimensional civilization of several million (if you accept that mythos).

What I am trying to say here is that this viewpoint is one small cross section of a culture. To say that this message is a message from "The" Hathors, is like saying that a message is from The Hopi. There is no "The Hopi". There are many individuals making up the Hopi and thus many diverse opinions as to what should, or should not be done. Just look at the recent history of the US government bringing water pipes into the pueblos and you will see what I am talking about. Some Hopi were for the pipes, while others were not—fearing the enslavement of water bills and taxes.

My point is that there is almost always a plethora of opinions, and the Hathors are no different. In this instance, however, at least as far as I can tell, the thoughts expressed by my Group are the consensus opinion of the vast majority of the Hathor culture. There are differing opinions as to the timeline, since—as they have told me repeatedly—the future is not a predetermined certainty but rather a multi-dimensional set of probabilities and possibilities.

I will say this again because I think it is vital to understand in our current situation:

The future is not a predetermined certainty, but rather a multi-dimensional set of probabilities and possibilities.

The message, below, addresses several areas of concern, most notably climatic and Earth changes, but their take, as in so many things, is quite unique. Essentially they are saying that we are in a very dangerous passage in regard to our physical survival, and that, seemingly unknown to us, we collectively hold a key to our survival—if we will only use it.

The key to which they refer is the act of living in ever-increasing levels of appreciation. They have commented on this to me on numerous occasions. The quasi-science on this (meaning this view is theoretical as opposed to being generally accepted by mainstream science) is that our DNA responds to our emotional state (our feelings) and then emits light and energy-patterns that affect matter. In other words, our DNA somehow affects our external reality through a process of vortex mechanics. I am not going to try to describe this here because most people aren't interested. You can find research reports on this type of thing by doing an internet search on—DNA and consciousness. Especially check out the work of The Heart Math Institute.

In my own personal experiments with appreciation, I have found that when it is experienced for longer than a few minutes, it often produces a hypnotic-type feeling of bliss, which I equate to an increase in endorphins. At the very least, I think most of us would benefit from regular periods of appreciation/bliss in the course of our day-to-day lives.

The challenge for many persons is how to feel appreciation when there is seemingly no reason for it. I have actually addressed this question in a previous letter, when the Hathors gave a message on the importance of this emotion, about a year ago.

I think we are facing a collective and global intelligence test. If we fail to wake up in time to our power as creator-gods, taking both action and responsibility, knowing that our consciousness affects external events, we will pass into oblivion—much like the dinosaurs of old and integrity in government. We are in a time of immense chaos and transformation. Interestingly, the Chinese word for transformation consists of two ideograms—both danger and opportunity. Unquestionably, we live in dangerous times. I don't think anyone would deny that. And the evolutionary task, I think, is for each of us to find the opportunities and take the actions to transform ourselves even in the midst of life's increasing dangers. It would be far easier to contract into ourselves and re-treat from the world, but I think that would be a grave mistake—literally.

To make things ever more daunting, we are living in the midst of a dying world, both literally and figuratively. Just read the latest scientific reports on the condition of the ecosystem, including the melting of the polar ice caps, and it becomes crystal clear what dire shape things are in. But the death of our world also includes the collapse of our modern ways of living because, quite frankly, they are unsustainable. It hurts both the Earth and its inhabitants.

So what will the new world look like on the other side of this metaphorical (or perhaps literal) death? I don't think anyone really knows for sure.

What the Hathors say is that we collectively hold a key to our own survival and destiny. The question is whether we will wake up in time to use it.

Final Thoughts on Pragmatism

I am a practical person and I don't usually go for things that are too-pie-in-the-sky, so when the Hathors‚ suggested that appreciation is the key for changing destiny, I hesitated.

I mean how many of us will it take living in appreciation to tip the gyroscopic balance of our destiny in favor of our collective survival? And just how many hours a day does it require to be in appreciation to be effective?

To be honest, I can't sustain a continual state of this emotion for more than a few hours. Something always comes along to blow it. So I find myself having to regroup my mental carnival from time to time in order to re-enter the appreciative state. But when I do, it is well worth the effort. And that may be the main reason for this mental/emotional discipline—it increases wellbeing.

I don't really know if we can tip the collective scale. I don't mean to be a pessimist, but it is in my nature. Actually I am a strange bird, an odd mix of optimist and fatalist. I usually reside somewhere in the middle, though something can send me flying to one side or the other, like the pendulum on an old grandfather clock. But usually I just hang somewhere midway between up and down. I am the kind of guy who, when he sees a glass of water, sees it neither half full, nor half empty. It simply is.

And that's how I see things currently in the world—it just is. Yes, I know that last sentence was technically a grammatical error. I say this for the benefit of those grammarian souls who live just for the opportunity to pounce upon a misplaced participle or whatever. Sometimes we need to abandon the rules in order to make a point. And quite frankly, I think that freedom of expression should take precedence over rules and grammarian dogma—when it is needed. In a similar vein, I think we will collectively need to abandon some of the rules we have been given on how to live a life—like not making waves and pretending that everything is alright and that we can continue to live like we are used to. If we don't change how we are living on this planet (both in terms of outer action and inner feelings) I suspect that soon we will not have a life worth living.

So what is this isness of our world right now? Chaos. No doubt about it. Things are up in the air all over the place, and life is becoming increasingly surreal as we move closer to that mythic, often hyped, Mayan end-of-the-world-as-we-knew-it party (2012 or thereabouts, though some people are quibbling over the actual date and what it means).

On a bad day (when fatalism reigns supreme in my inner kingdom) I look at the world and wonder, what the—to use a grand old word from the King's English—f__k is going on. I mean can we humans really be that stupid? Well, evidently yes. And on these glum days I see little hope for any movement up the evolutionary ladder. In fact, when I see the rampant stupidity going on around (and to be honest, sometimes inside) me, I think we will be forever set-back a grade and never graduate from Middle School—or is it Elementary?

Then on those wondrous optimistic days I look at the chaos of the world and know that chaos is actually a highly creative state. Anything can happen. Unpredictable miracles can and do occur (along with horrors, but that's another story). The point is that we are in a highly volatile time and the course of events can change in a moment's notice. I pray for this change of course every day, and in my optimistically flavored moments, I see reasons to hope that it shall be so.

But whatever the outcome, the show isn't over. And it won't be over—to use George Carlin's politically correct turn of phrase—until the weight challenged lady sings!

I guess what I want to say personally here, to answer those people who have asked for my take on the current state of affairs—is to enjoy your life more. Find things to appreciate and practice senseless moments of appreciation just for the heck of it. It will help make you more creative, resourceful and intelligent and less of a stick-in-the-mud and evolutionary slacker. And who knows, maybe if enough of us try it, we just might tip the scales in favor of our survival as a species.

And now here is what the Hathors had to say in early June, 2004. Remember, the truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off, or scare the shit out of you. Have a great life and keep smiling!

A Message for the Life Sustainers

A Message from the Hathors through Tom Kenyon

June 21, 2004

You are at a pivotal point in the fulcrum of consciousness. Your earth is about to undergo a purification the likes of which have not been seen for 26,000 years. The timelines of this would have been sooner were it not for the intervention of beings in many realms and the efforts of what you call light workers, which we view as "life sustainers."

There is a highly catalytic energy coming from deep space, which is striking the Great Central Sun (of your galaxy) and the Sun of your solar system. Your Sun is experiencing immense changes in its magnetic field, and this is, in turn, affecting the magnetic field of your Earth. This is altering many dynamic systems on your planet including, but not limited to, the oceanic conveyer belt. This deep-space energy that is affecting both the Sun and your Earth is essentially an energy of accelerating self-awareness and spiritual evolution. The universe (or at least this part of it) is waking up to itself in new and different ways. And this process of increased self-awareness is speeding things up, so to speak. It is important to realize that what looks like a disturbance at one level of consciousness can be seen as a catalyst at another level.

Whether life is allowed to continue on this planet or not, will be decided collectively through a reaction to the choices you make as humanity. If the collective is able to receive these energies from deep space and make an evolutionary and spiritual leap, the disturbance of the electromagnetic fields, specifically the magnetic poles, will not affect the conveyer belt the way that it is now. Think of yourself as living on a giant gyroscope. The slightest movement of a gyroscope creates tremendous movement in the rings of the gyroscope, the stabilizing rings. So the gyroscope of Earth is fluctuating, but this fluctuation can be expressed as physical manifestation, or as elevations of consciousness. But if the collective consciousness of this Earth does not elevate quick enough, then the gyroscope will simply transfer the energy to the physical dimension, specifically the magnetic poles and the magnetic field, which, in turn, affects the conveyer belt. If the conveyer stops, life, as you know it, will become very difficult or end altogether, quickly. We would say to you that you are very close to this point.

As to weather, expect increasingly turbulent storms of greater strength and amplitude. We wish to convey to you a clear understanding that these storms are an out-picturing of the violence, the misdirected energy, and the imbalance of human consciousness. If, somehow, enough individual consciousnesses within the collective are able to elevate themselves into the fifth or higher dimensions of consciousness, the energies from deep space will be integrated through the process of elevation.

If, collectively, you are not able to attain this, these energies will affect the physical aspect of Earth's gyroscope, to use that metaphor. And life as you know it and have experienced it will be very difficult due to climatic and Earth changes. You are about to see a tremendous increase in geothermal activity, including volcanoes and earthquakes. You are already seeing a tremendous increase in tornadoes and this will only escalate. The hurricanes that will be coming in the next year and the years to follow will make previous hurricanes seem like a gentle breeze.

So let us summarize the first idea we wish to convey. The impulse for increased consciousness is flowing from deep space, striking your Sun, and affecting the subtle energies of your earth. If humanity is able to rise to a level of spiritual mastery these affects will be decreased, transmuted, and become a source for further elevation.

If humanity is not able to attain this, then the physical act of purification must take place—simply because energy cannot be destroyed. We are not alarmists. This message is not intended to create distress, but rather to create awareness of the need for taking care of yourself and your loved ones in specific ways.

There are two areas of action we suggest. The first has to do with spiritual preparation and the second has to do with physical survival. From the standpoint of yourselves as souls, it is immaterial whether your present embodiment continues or not. Spiritual preparation means to prepare for the possibility of your death through a recommitment to your life—to living and choosing what is essential for ever-increasing experiences of appreciation and joy. It sounds odd, but following your deepest sense of joy will lead you to be in the places where you will most likely survive, should the Earth go into a period of purification.

Spiritual preparation also includes clearing away the obstructions between you and your own psychic knowing, and being willing to move in an instant's notice, and a willingness to move even if those around you insist on remaining where they are. Should the Earth go into its travail of purification, you must be prepared to follow your own inner knowing, for that is the only compass you will have, both literally and figuratively. In terms of physical survival, at the very least, you will need to obtain and store food and emergency supplies, including water and warm clothing, even if you live currently in a mild to tropical environment. Get to know your friends and neighbors, for it may require a level of cooperation you are not used to, in order to physically survive the purification. Even if outright catastrophe is averted, there will be a radical increase in aberrant weather and possible challenges to food production.

Finally we would say to begin a discipline of connecting with your spiritual aspect, in whatever ways you find most effective. You will want to strengthen these connections, for if the Earth enters into travail, there will be much chaos and many voices from those in distress and in confusion, and you will need to have access to your innermost self—to the small silent voice within—to tell you where to go and what to do, and sometimes that may mean going nowhere and doing nothing.

For those living within the US, know that you are being lied to, both politically and economically. It is not our focus to discuss these issues facing you. Anyone interested in such things can find the information. Let us just say that it is quite possible that the US economy will falter within the next year or two. Simple logic and common sense are your allies here. Preparing for a possible economic downturn means to become financially self-reliant. Should this occur, you will find that life gets much simpler. For one who has achieved a detachment from their monetary expectations, the devaluing of money will be a difficulty, to be sure, but not an emotional and spiritual catastrophe.

Build your house upon solid ground, not the shifting sands. And in this case, the shifting sands are your monetary system. The solid ground is your connection to your own God-Self, to the spiritual dimensions where you dwell, even as you live on Earth.

Finally we wish to say to you that as difficult as the challenges are, you are still the Masters of your destiny, although you slumber in forgetfulness. If you are to survive you must awaken. In our world we have a ritualistic object. It is made of the finest gold that has been culled from the ninth dimension. In this box there are three symbolic stones. We refer to this box as the Ark of Humanity, as a symbol for that which will carry you (humanity) into a new dimension.

The three stones represent the three within humanity. There are those who would rather kill and die than awaken to the truth of themselves as Creator Gods. They remain asleep, though dangerous, since they sleepwalk and appear to be like everyone else. These are the people of the first stone.

The second stone represents those who do not wish to be bothered; do not wish to change how they live life. They are not particularly violent, just numb.

The third stone represents those who are awakening and have awakened to themselves as Creator Gods, understanding that they are responsible for their aspect of Creation and who willingly accept the responsibility of living upward through joy and harmony in a world so full of conflict.

The Ark of Humanity holds all three stones, and if the Ark of Humanity is to carry the entire collective into the fifth dimension and beyond, it must carry all three stones. The task for collective transmutation rests upon the shoulders of those of the third stone. Even though you are late in the hour (so to speak), total catastrophe can be averted. Ironically it has more to do with how the third stone of humanity chooses to live their life. If you succumb to the emotions of fear and horror, the Ark of Humanity will not be carried into the fifth dimension and beyond, because the purification will destroy most life on Earth. If this occurs, you will simply find that you will return to the spiritual realm according to the level of your development and spiritual attainment.

So we speak not to the first or second stones, for they cannot hear us; although their eyes may see these words or their ears hear the words, they will not comprehend. This is for those of you of the third stone. You know who you are. For you will have been electrified by what you have just read.

We bow to you, the protectors and the guardians of the human spirit. We bow to you, sages and masters, for your spiritual courage to have incarnated upon this Earth at this time. Live more fully. Laugh more heartily. Forgive more completely. You are the Masters of your destiny. Be Happy.

Preventing War – Creating Perspectives for Peace

International Meeting for Peace Workers and
Interested People for the Experiment "Monte Cerro" in Tamera/Portugal

15 May – 11 June 2005

The US are planning a war against Iran. Even though they try to make it look harmless they will continue to follow their programme "Greater Middle East", i.e. a Free Trade Zone from Morocco to Pakistan. They will also not refrain from the next war if there will be enough money and soldiers. How do we connect our work to a Ring of Power which is able to prevent such wars? How could a worldwide cooperative for a future without war be developed?

From spring 2006 on a large experiment in Tamera for the building up of a global Peace Village will begin. The model will serve the building up of further Peace Villages on the earth. The preliminary name for this time of research is "Monte Cerro". A central element of this work will be the building up of a "Solar Village" - an interdisciplinary project which connects solar technology, architecture, ecology and social design. For "Monte Cerro" we are looking for further co-workers, particularly in the areas of crafts, ecology, and technology.

In May we would like to present the meaning and the goal of the experiment "Monte Cerro" and the plan of the Healing Biotopes as part of a global strategy for peace, and create a fix cooperation axle with you even if we work on different places with different focuses. We would like to support the ecological, technological and social, political and spiritual healing and peacework to work together more efficiently and direct their activities by the common basic ideas. Artists, musicians, IT experts and authors are also welcome.

Our common direction could be:

The globalisation of violence must be followed by the globalisation of peace.
Resistance is necessary but not enough. Those who are against war need a vision for peace.
To make peace possible concrete models must be built in which peace can be learnt.
Peace needs strategies. The high tech which enabled the globalisation of exploitation and violence needs a corresponding response in the peace movement.

With regard to the above themes we invite you to the following events. We will partly work all together, partly in the individual groups:

May 15 – June 11: Basic Course
The Basic Course is for all those who contemplate participating in the experiment "Monte Cerro" and want to get to know Tamera and its work profoundly for this purpose. Belonging to this is the study of the basic ideas, practical experiences in community building and preparatory work on the terrain for the "Solar Village".
Facilitation: Barbara Kovats and Phoebe Andrea Regelmann, Price: 800 , Youth Price: 400 Euro, please apply

May 15 – May 29: International Meeting of Young Peace Workers
For young people who have already become active in peacework themselves, for people who have collaborated in existing projects, or initiated own projects. The goal is the building up of an international network of engaged people who link their knowledge and their work - for the ending of the war and for the healing of the Earth; for a "Movement for a Free Earth".
Facilitation: Katja Long and Amélie Weimar, Price: 400 Euro/, Youth Price: 200 Euro, please apply

May 15 – May 29: Peace Village Middle East – the Next Steps to its Realisation
A group of active peace workers from Israel and Palestine with whom we have been cooperating for a while will continue to work on the concept and the preparation of a planned Peace Village ("Peace Research Village") in the Middle East.
Facilitation: Sabine Lichtenfels, Benjamin von Mendelssohn, Vera Kleinhammes, Kate Bunney, please apply

Interested youth: Please contact Juliane Eckmann from the Youth School Global Learning,

Question to kids: What does Love mean?

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4– to 8-year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca- age 8

When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Billy - age 4

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."
Chrissy -age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
Terri - age 4

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."
Danny - age 7

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss"
Emily - age 8

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,"
Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday."
Noelle - age 7

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well."
Tommy - age 6

"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."
Cindy - age 8

"My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night."
Clare - age 6

"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken."
Elaine-age 5

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford."
Chris - age 7

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day." (my personal favorite)
Mary Ann - age 4

"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones."
Lauren – age 4

"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you." (what an imagination)
Karen - age 7

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross."
Mark - age 6

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."
Jessica - age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry".

There is only Tao

One will see statements like this in much Taoist writing and on Taoist chat forums. It is generally speaking useless advice as far as how to live one's life. I remember well on a cold drizzly morning when the TM group I led was trying futilely to save a large and carefully constructed cardboard Buckminster Fuller geodesic dome that had collapsed from rain. It was going to be part of our exhibition at some New Age festival in Cape Town. As a replacement we had ordered a large tent. There was some panic amongst those assembling and those preserving. The festival was starting. Someone was energetically, perhaps feverishly hammering in stakes. A Hippie walked by and sweetly commented, "Go with the flow." That's the sort of thing I mean. When you are trying to pay off a mortgage or raise bail or get a good seat in a film, concert or a bus, when the roads are iced and you are in a hurry, when you've lost your glasses, when your child has gone missing, when you've sliced your finger you won't think of "there is only Tao." Nor will you appreciate been told this.

But it is good knowledge for good times and it is in the good times you should explore it because life spirals, and things can abruptly become chaotic. Once you get the hang of it it just takes a focused breath and you are there.

There are schools based on Shankara's Advaita philosophy. Non dualism. Ramana Maharishi. (I visited his ashram in Tiruvannamalai in ‚69). His practice of asking,"Who am I." Nisargadatta's ("I am That" is a marvellous, miraculous book) advice to meditate on "I am not the body."

People walk around muttering, "this is all illusion." Say that to your bleeding finger or the bailiff! People write little articles on that for chat forums. It is almost common knowledge in certain circles. Probably the person a student told me about who had learned Tai Chi in 3 months believes it.

Nevertheless it is true, even if the proponents may seem flakey.

It is the old problem of claiming knowledge prematurely, knowing Tai Chi after 3 months. That sort of thing.

Kashmir Shaivism teaches Monism. A sort of Glorified Advaita. There is only One. All is Shiva's dance. Or more accurately The Dance is Shakti, and Shiva Is. It is the Tantric approach, the Toltec approach.

My approach, and what I teach in my classes.

I say, "don't say you are not the body". That is fake and artificial. Book learning.

Go into your body and discover who you really are. This is Taoist internal alchemy.

It is not a weekend workshop endeavor. It is a lifetime commitment.

I have just finished Bob Dylan's "Chronicles". Like all artists I know or have read about he studied his art. He practised. Probably still does. He did his homework and paid his dues. None of it fell into his lap no matter how great his genius. Bob Marley wouldn't allow laughter at rehearsals. (Dollar Brand told me to keep quiet or get out when I laughed at something humorous he said while his jazz group were rehearsing.)

Not everyone is musical or talented in drawing or writing poetry. The world is full of well meaning mediocrity.

We all have bodies. We all have nervous systems. We all have an inner energy grid. This can be our instrument. We can make of our awareness, our meridians a work of art. How wonderful a work of art depends only on your focus and your passion, the time you put in. You can be a wannabe or you can really become that.

You will discover your internal energy. You will feel how it moves, how it spirals, circulates. You will discover a miraculous thing, by going in you start to feel what is without.

You will have seen photos of our Milky Way galaxy, how the energy moves in a graceful spiral. It is simply beautiful. A few delicate spirals contains billions of stars, and contains us, here on earth, in our own homes, pondering it all. The energy passes through them all and it is clear that it is one system. Seen from a large enough perspective it can be perceived as one system, a unity.

Is any of this relevant? You betcha!

It has been my experience that when the inner energy becomes expanded, balanced, harmonious, luminous, flowing, spiralling (none of these words carelessly chosen) when your energy grid has been purified, when the lights have popped on inside, so you will feel a connection with the lights out there. It is as though the body becomes the earth, becomes part of that great Milky Way Spiral. Something extraordinary happens then. The energy makes me feel so cleansed, so empty that nothing else exists. It is hard to say "I", to feel "I". There is only the dancing, the joy.

There is only Tao.

Only One

Note from Jean: I found the following note in the ERN guestbook at

by Gien

I'm glad to have just discovered the rainbow network. Great resource for all those on a genuine path to nondual awareness! We all come from different traditions but my view of all genuine traditions is that they are like different paths winding up and leading to the same mountain top in which we can gain the limitless view of nondual mind. As long as they are all going in the same general direction (up), we will all eventually arrive there. Each one is characterized by a different approach, history and what we see along the way but as we approach the peak, all our separate view begin to converge to the same experience of nondual mind.

Soon I plan to travel and bring awareness of nondual mind through music. Insofar as people like to put labels on things, I have recently found a label I can live with. I describe my music simply as "yogic music"... music to bring awareness of nondual mind. Singing and Creating music is so fulfilling because when done with openness, it comes directly from the nondual mind itself.

My musical project is entitled "Jopoa" in honor of my yogini grandma who I absorbed teachings of loving kindness from for many decades. This music is to honor her and to share her loving kindness with all sentient beings with the purpose of awakening their own nondual nature.

Blessings from Jopoa and Gien

Note from Jean: So I was curious to find out more about Gien and who his "yogini grandma" was and I visited his site. Pretty touching and quite cool and inspiring. Give it a look.

Here is an excerpt:

Life is a wave of energy sweeping through the universe .... transforming and concentrating pockets of matter into energy manifestations of living beings. Each of us is such a concentration of energy which arises, manifests then ceases. We must come to recognize these coming and goings of living beings as a clear sign for us to look deeper to find the complete and wider truth which encompasses all this ceaseless activity. The wave of life can only arise out of and within the vast ocean of emptiness. We must use the transcendent love of those who've left us as the inspiration to help us redirect our awareness . . . away from this superficial, dynamic wave of life and towards the vast, deep and silent ocean of emptiness itself from which these waves arise.
We, who have been temporarily blessed with this gift of life
who are momentarily riding the crest of this wave
sweeping through the universe
should realize that at every moment,
living beings are coming and going;
caught up and left behind by this wave
every instance is filled with immeasurable joy and pain.
We should recognize also
that as we ourselves arose
so too shall we return
back into this vast, all encompassing ocean of emptiness.
Let us all recognize and embrace this fundamental reality
and live in the light of truth.
It is not a matter of courage
but a matter of wisdom.
Courage points to the presence of fear
and a separation from the ocean of emptiness
the genuine home from which we have arisen.
The light of awareness
when shone on our ignorance
melts its illusory nature away
and takes along with it, both courage and fear.
Dispell the self myth of the ego
or we will never see our true glorious infinite nature
transcending anything that ego can ever imagine!
Grandma has finished her journey of healing and loving kindness and her departure now sets the stage for the beginning of my own. In her absence, I now begin the walk of an elder, following in her footsteps of transforming suffering into bliss. With her death, the cycle of life continues as it always has... love, like life moving from one being to the next.
