The Empire of Darkness Series #27: The New 9-11 That Backfired

Hello everyone!

After absorbing like everyone else the shock of all the pictures and news about the very large swath of destruction cut by Hurricane Katrina as well as the resulting thousands of deaths and over 500,000 refugees it left behind, I could not help but turn my attention to the flow of reports coming in my emails revealing how this catastrophic storm was in fact a man-made disaster designed in part to deflect people's attention away from all the news reports that were contributing for the precipitous fall of the Bush failed presidency in opinion polls and to shore up his popularity in 9-11 fashion, just to mention a few of their presumed objectives— gluttonous greed of their corporate oil sponsors and various fascist agendas also certainly came into play.

Except this time, the public reaction and media coverage did not go according to plans as a wave of compassion-driven support engulfed most of the US, coupled with searing rage at the utterly lagging, incompetent and outright malicious reaction of the entire federal government, especially the much-maligned FEMA, which failed to come to a timely rescue of some of its poorest citizens, but also in some cases deliberately made things worse, according to many eyewitnesses accounts, as if to make sure the human cost of this tragedy was going to be large enough to shock everyone numb and subdued.

The initial obvious lack of humanity of Bush and his cohort who continued their "normal" life in the first few days as if nothing serious happened and the continuing mismanagement of relief operations that in so many instances only exacerbated the crisis have only contributed to further awaken the US public to what most of the rest of the planet already realized about this dismally dangerous and terminally corrupt illegal government.

Their complete and permanent downfall through massive popular rejection is not only imminent but unavoidable.

Hurricane Katrina - Help Urgently Needed
Southern Mutual Help Association must call upon all of you to help us. Louisiana is in the midst of a catastrophe. Not only is New Orleans devastated but so are so many of the surrounding rural communities. Fishers and family farmers already under the stress of international trade agreements, have now lost homes and the very means of creating a livelihood to recover. Many rural small businesses are destroyed. The crops in many areas are gone — cane, citrus, soybeans. The fisheries are destroyed in large areas of Louisiana's coast. This is a crisis for small farmers, farm workers and fisher families. SMHA knows from our lengthy recovery from hurricane Andrew in August of 1992 that rural areas are last and receive the least. Focus will understandably be on urban areas such as New Orleans, on oil and gas installations, on search, rescue and the basics of life like water, food, shelter, medical treatment. Many agencies and generous souls will be seeing to those needs. SMHA is still assessing the situation of directly impacted rural communities and families. We already know the Acadiana region around Lafayette will have approximately 150,000 refugees looking first for where to be for the time away from their homes (likely to be lengthy), and secondly how to possibly recover and rebuild their future. SMHA as a rural development organization needs your help in the recovery effort. SMHA needs money. It will take millions for dollars in grants and specially structured loans to help rural families recover. After Andrew, SMHA learned a great deal. Specially trained volunteers like doctors, nurses, carpenters are helpful especially if they can be responsible for their own expenses, transportation and shelter out of the impacted area. Too many volunteers and clothes are simply a burden. Well-handled money is the most urgently needed response and helps the most. SMHA has, as you know, 36 years of responsibly handling money and achieving mission. We have created a special Rural Recovery Fund that will support these efforts. Please give generously to this fund. You may use the links below to donate with your credit card, or mail checks made to "SMHA - Rural Recovery Fund" to:

"The records of Sister Lúcia, kept at the archives since the incident, revealed that the children did not interact with an apparition of the Virgin Mary but with a hologram of an extraterrestrial projected on a beam of light from a spacecraft hovering high above them. The archives clearly showed that the entities encountered at Fátima were not deities from Heaven but rather alien beings visiting our planet from “elsewhere” in the vast Cosmos. This finding was supported by hundreds of other facts from the time of the apparitions. Fátima, the authors discovered, was the first major UFO case of the 20th century."

Heru's update for September 2005
(...) I would say that in November and December, early December, just about every hot spot on this planet (the middle East, North Korea, Taiwan, Nigeria and other places in Africa, Iran) all of this will heat up and it will look like at any moment any one of them could explode and spiral out of control. But that it won't happen. And in the meantime, there will be growing resistance to the governmental policies such as the government in the US. The resistance is beginning, and the heart of the resistance is beginning to find its voice and its strength. It will not back down, and it will grow.(...) Do not immerse yourself in the fear mongering and the rumors of war. For embedded in the media are many subliminal controlling images designed to keep you from your own true power. Therefore create peace in your hearts, and enjoy that peace. And as you do, it will radiate out from you. CLIP

Hurricane Watch Posted for Southeast Coast (Sept 10)
CHARLESTON, S.C. - A hurricane watch was posted Saturday for the Southeast coast as Ophelia strengthened into a hurricane once again and meteorologists said its meandering course could take a sharp turn toward land. (...) If Ophelia makes landfall in South Carolina it would the third hurricane in 13 months to strike the state. Hurricanes Charlie and Gaston hit the South Carolina coast last season in the same general area.Ophelia is the seventh hurricane in this year's busy Atlantic hurricane season, which began June 1 and ends Nov. 30. Peak storm activity typically occurs from the end of August through mid-September.

Global Activity tropical cyclones around the world
Even though Atlantic Ocean hurricanes receive a lot of attention, only 12% of tropical cyclones seen world-wide are located here. These dangerous storms can be found in three of our four oceans, and in both hemispheres. The diagram below shows the regions of the Earth where tropical storms originate. Two in three Americans critical of Bush's handling of hurricane: poll (Sept 08, 2005)
More than two thirds of Americans believe President George W. Bush did not do enough in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, according to an opinion poll published Thursday. The poll, which revealed deep divides between whites and blacks, showed 67 percent of those questioned thought Bush could have done more and that just 28 percent believed he had done all he could to manage the disaster response. The poll, conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press Tuesday and Wednesday among 1,000 Americans, showed Bush's approval rating dropping to 40 percent and his disapproval rating climbing to 52 percent. It said the figures were among the bleakest of his presidency. "The American public is highly critical of President Bush's handling of Hurricane Katrina relief efforts," the center said in a statement. And for the first time since the attacks of September 11, 2001, a majority of Americans said it was more important for Bush to focus on domestic policy than the war on terrorism.Perceptions of the disaster response differed considerably between racial groups, with 71 percent of blacks saying the disaster showed that racial inequality remained a major problem in the country, while 56 percent of whites said the issue was not a particularly important lesson of the disaster. Some 66 percent of blacks thought that the government's response to the crisis would have been faster if most of the victims from the storm had been white. Seventy-seven percent of whites disagreed. Bush's administration has faced some of its most outspoken criticism to the disaster, with critics saying the federal response was too little too late and rebutting his contention that the disaster could not have been predicted. While the final death toll from the catastrophe is unknown, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin warned the human cost could reach 10,000. Hundreds of thousands have been evacuated from the region and remain in temporary shelters.

Bush faces new questions on relief (September 9th, 2005 )
NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - With President George W. Bush promising to speed help to anxious and frustrated survivors of Hurricane Katrina, questions emerged on Friday over the qualifications of those leading the relief effort. Many of those at the top of the U.S. agency charged with managing disaster relief had no emergency oversight experience but did have political ties to Bush, the Washington Post reported. (...) The Washington Post reported that five of eight top FEMA officials had come to their jobs with virtually no experience in handling disasters. The agency's top three leaders, including Brown, had ties to Bush's 2000 presidential campaign or the White House team that lays the groundwork for presidential trips. Brown's biography on the agency Web site said he had once served as an "assistant city manager with emergency services oversight," but Time quoted an official in Edmond, Oklahoma, as saying the job was actually "assistant to the city manager," with little responsibility. (...) The official death toll surpassed 300 in the two hardest hit states when Louisiana officials said they had confirmed 118 deaths, on top of 201 in neighboring Mississippi. Thousands more may still be missing but the extent of the carnage remains unknown.

After Katrina: The Toxic Timebomb (Sept 7, 2005)
The devastation of Hurricane Katrina has created a vast toxic soup that stretches across south-eastern Louisiana and Mississippi, and portends the arrival of an environmental disaster to rival the awe-inspiring destruction of property and human life over the past week. Toxicologists and public health experts warned yesterday that pumping billions of gallons of contaminated water from the streets of New Orleans back into the Gulf of Mexico - the only viable option if the city is ever to return to even a semblance of its former self -would have a crippling effect on marine and animal life, compromise the wetlands that form the first line of resistance to future hurricanes, and carry deleterious consequences for human health throughout the region. The full extent of the danger is unknown and unknowable, but the polluted waters are known to contain human and animal waste, the bodies of people and animals, household effluence, and chemical and petrochemical toxins from the refineries that dot the Gulf coast in and around New Orleans. Even before the pumping is complete, a process city officials said yesterday would take at least three weeks (some engineers believe it could last months), the consequences for all living creatures - humans, animals, fish and micro-organisms - are likely to be dire. "We're talking about a mass of decomposing dead bodies and animals. This is going to produce a horrible festering of unknown consequences," said Harold Zeliger, a chemical toxicologist and independent consultant based in New York State. CLIP

The Entire Community Is Now a Toxic Waste Dump
In Katrina's aftermath, oil spills dominate the landscape, some miles long and up to 200 yards wide. Refineries and industrial plants are leaking a stew of chemicals, creating one giant superfund site.

In The Mirror Of The Water - by John Kaminski (7 Sept 2005)
New Orleans as a portrait of ourselves and our future - (...) Take a taste, a gargantuan, thirst-quenching slug of that delicious elixir brewed by humanity's most successful citizens, that Cajun cabernet of pesticide-fouled Mississippi River water curdling in the backwater blender of the Gulf of Mexico dead zone, spiced by fragrances from all across the periodic table of toxic elements and spiced with a disease-bearing melange of decomposing dead animals.Savor the bouquet. See how it tinkles on your tongue and wafts into your hairy nostrils. Close your eyes and you can envision the perfect portrait of human civilization. They say we are 89 percent water. The quality of the water within us is directly correlative to the ingredients of the potion in the cauldron of New Orleans. (...) Because so many ordinary people have tried to help New Orleans storm victims and been thwarted by bureaucratic officialdom, one can only draw the conclusion that the government has severely limited its rescue efforts because there is no place in corporate society for these people, and they need to be eliminated.I thought it was very cool that so many of those like DU activist Dennis Kyne and others who went to Texas to support antiwar mom Cindy Sheehan smoothly moved their operation to New Orleans to help out. This small remaining segment of morally decent Americans knows — much more authentically that the government could ever pretend to know — that when people are dying you don’t argue about causes or rules. Perhaps that is the true test of being human. CLIP

A Very, Very Good Idea (Sept 9)
Ben Marble, a Gulfport resident who says he’s a doctor, had the guts to wade into Vice President Dick Cheney’s carefully-staged photo op Thursday and say what many residents of the Gulf Coast wanted to say to the politicians who sat on their butts while the people of Mississippi and Louisiana lay dead and dying.“Go fuck yourself Mr. Cheney,” Marble screamed just off camera as the event played out live on CNN. “Go fuck yourself you asshole!” Secret Service agents subdued Marble and CNN yanked the video off its web site but copies of it float around the Internet and Marble, who’s homeless after Katrina destroyed his Gulfport home, is offering a copy for sale on EBay. Republicans, of course, jumped in with carefully-crafted indignation over Marble’s “inappropriate remarks” to Cheney, forgetting the Vice President used the same words to tell off a Senator just last year.Cheney offered his outburst of obscenity because that Senator had the gall to question his relationship with scandal-scarred Halliburton, the company he used to run and that’s now ripping off taxpayers in Iraq. All Marble had to be upset about was loss of his home, death of close friends and family and destruction of the city he loved. Yet Marble, who also plays with punk rock bands in the Gulfport area, could become the symbol of frustration felt not only by residents of the hard hit area but every American who recoils in shock and anger at the government’s lackluster and uncompassionate response to the horror, death and destruction left in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Jefferson Parish president Aaron Broussard cried without shame on national television this week, saying the federal “bureaucracy has committed murder here in the Greater New Orleans area.” CLIP

Here's How You Can Make an Immediate Difference in Louisiana (Sept 7)
There is much to be said and done about the manmade annihilation of New Orleans, caused NOT by a hurricane but by the very specific decisions made by the Bush administration in the past four and a half years. Do not listen to anyone who says we can discuss all this later. No, we can't. Our country is in an immediate state of vulnerability. More hurricanes and other disasters are on the way, and a lazy bunch of self-satisfied lunatics are still running the show. So, in the next few days, I will write to you about what must be done about Bush and Co. But today I want you to join with me in bypassing the colossally inept and incompetent Bush administration and get help DIRECTLY to the people of the New Orleans area -- right now. The Militarization of New Orleans. From Victims to Vandals: Mass Media and New Orleans (September 8, 2005)
Briefly, but dramatically, the political failures that turned New Orleans and many other Gulf cities and towns into a human catastrophe, shattered the bonds of conformity between the mass media and the government. Critical reporters described the failure of the government's Homeland Security to evacuate vulnerable poor people and the absence of basic food and water for the victims. The media contrasted Bush partying with Republican cronies in California, Vice President Cheney on the golfing green, Secretary of State Rice shopping in Manhattan and Homeland Security boss Chertoff claiming that disaster relief was in excellent shape with the cries of desperation and destitution of tens of thousands of poverty-stricken and hungry African Americans and poor whites barely surviving in a dark, filthy convention center and sports arena. By Day Four of the disaster, the critical impassioned voices were replaced by measured voices of official compassion. Photo opportunities of Bush abounded; the National Guardmen were arriving and the Government was responding. The "news" was about the heroic aid workers with photogenic white guards and nurses cradling black infants, bringing relief to the "refugees" and ending the growing lawlessness, violence and "looting" among the survivors. Interviews with top military officials focused on the threats to the soldiers from violent elements among the "refugees". Visual images of armored troop carriers, heavily armed Special Forces against a backdrop of angry desolate people, resonated with the war propaganda from Iraq. What was an exercise in humanitarian aid was converted into a counter-insurgency operation. By the end of the sixth day the mass media converted the national government's political failures to protect citizens into a successful military occupation. (...) The mass media made an abrupt turn, adapting and shaping the images of the Administration's catastrophe. In seven days the magic of the media transformed the Bush team from incompetent and ignorant leaders to decisive and caring officials. At the same time the desperate, dying and furious were converted into an unruly, crime-ridden, ungrateful and chaotic mob. The political message was clear: Repression and militarization were priority conditions for survival and humanitarian aid. The city had to be under de facto martial law before it could be saved. Viet Nam and Falluja come to mind. After all, counter-insurgency is what we do best. According to the President, his Cabinet members and the media: "America is rising to the occasion." We won't forget the 10,000's of dead and injured, we'll even lower the flag for a few days - that is if the Congressional Black Caucus raises the issue. As the President would say, "Let's move on. We've got a war to win in Iraq." In the other America, the victims, their friends, their brothers and sisters are not deceived. Certainly the Europeans, Africans, Asians and Latin Americans have images etched in their collective memory: of frantic, desperate New Orleans poor with faces staring angrily at an indifferent government. But will white America remember who are the criminals and who are the victims?

My friend Suzi sent me this today. Kind of makes you stop and think-- especially in light of the fact that EVERY recount conducted before Rehnquist and Co. stopped the official state of Florida recount has shown that Gore won Florida-- and thus the presidency-- by a SUBSTANTIAL margin. So while Bush was golfing in San Diego, campaign fund-raising, plotting to find as bad a Supreme Court Chief Judge as Rehnquist, trying to burnish his shattered image as a leader, etc, the man we actually did elect president in 2000 was taking some action. This is a letter Suzi sent me from a friend of hers: Here is a story you will not hear on the endless media reports about Louisiana, because the man involved will do no interviews and has only told the press that he wants no mention of his action, lest it be "politicized". Al Gore, private citizen with, certainly, a certain clout, began an initiative on Thursday, September 1st. He personally and privately rented an American Airlines jet and crew, got a doctor friend of his and several nurses, and on Saturday morning, he flew to Louis Armstrong airport in New Orleans, gathered up 140 elderly and ill people from the triage center there and flew them to the Knoxville, Tennessee airport. They were met by relief workers who unloaded the plane and took the people to area hospitals which were on alert and ready to welcome the people. After being checked out, those who were able were taken to a Red Cross shelter set up at a local church. Mr. Gore and his doctor had intended to make a second trip on Saturday, but the undertaking - the loading on and the loading off took several hours each, and by the time he could go back to N.O., it was getting dark and, of course, there are no landing lights at the airport in N.O. Sunday, they flew to Dallas and collected another planeload of refugees and brought them to Chattanooga. That's as far as my information goes. I only know this because the local paper was at the Knoxville airport and got pictures of the people and Mr. Gore moving among them, helping them off the plane. His doctor spoke briefly to the local press, saying, "Al called and asked for help. So here I am." This is the man we elected president.

Iran has offered to send 20m barrels of crude oil to the US to help with the consequences of Hurricane Katrina. The two countries have had no diplomatic relations for decades, but America did send help to Iran when a severe earthquake hit Bam in 2003. Speaking on state-run radio, Iran's envoy to OPEC said his country was ready to send up to five shiploads of crude oil to the US. But he said this could only happen if US sanctions were lifted first.

Huge oil spill
NEW ORLEANS - Two oil storage tanks, damaged by Hurricane Katrina, have spilled millions of barrels of oil into a marsh south of New Orleans, officials said yesterday. The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality believes the two tanks, located in an oil storage, each contained two million barrels of oil, said spokesman Rodney Mallett. The spill occurred near Venice, 120km south of New Orleans, in a peninsula that includes a wildlife refuge. “We flew over in a plane and noticed an oil lake near Venice,” said Rodney Mallett, a DEQ spokesman. The oil spilled into a marsh between the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico.

Republicans Eye Expanding US Offshore Drilling
Barely a month after President Bush signed a $14.5 billion energy bill into law, Hurricane Katrina's destructive dance through the US oilpatch is being seized on by Republicans as a reason to open more federal offshore waters to drilling.

New Orleans a 'ghost town' for 9 months (04 September 2005)
New Orleans will have to be abandoned for at least nine months, and many of its people will remain homeless for up to two years, the US government believes. The bleak assessment will deepen the biggest crisis faced by President George Bush, who last week called the devastation of Hurricane Katrina a "temporary disruption". As the relief effort finally got under way yesterday for the tens of thousands of people left without food, water, medicines or the rule of law for five days, the federal official in charge of disaster recovery told foreign diplomats that reconstruction cannot begin until next summer. The President is now facing a political hurricane of his own, with gathering criticism, even from inside his own party, for failing to heed warnings of the city's vulnerability, cutting spending on its defences to pay for the wars on terror and in Iraq, and responding sluggishly to the worst natural catastrophe ever to hit his country. Ray Nagin, the Mayor of New Orleans, said that every day of delay has caused hundreds of deaths. Louisiana's junior Senator, Republican David Vitter, gave the Bush administration "an F grade" for its handling of the crisis. Senator Chuck Hagel, a leading contender for his party's nomination to succeed Mr Bush, said, "There must be some accountability."The criticism is all the sharper because the President did nothing to alter his holiday schedule for 48 hours. Vice-President Dick Cheney remains on holiday in Wyoming. Condoleezza Rice, the Secretary of State, returned to Washington after being seen shopping for $7,000 shoes in Manhattan as New Orleans went under. CLIP

Police violence against journalists in New Orleans in Katrina aftermath (Sept 9, 2005)
Reporters Without Borders voiced concern today about police violence against journalists covering the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, especially about the attacks on reporters and photographers that took place on 1 September. "We understand that the security forces are overwhelmed and we are aware of the great tension and the difficult conditions under which they are having to work in areas hit by Katrina, but it is very worrying that this is reflected in violence against journalists," the press freedom organisation said. "We believe that is essential that news coverage should be completely free and unobstructed in such a serious situation," Reporters Without Borders added. Reporter Tim Harper and photographer Lucas Oleniuk of the Canadian Toronto Star daily were the victims of police violence while covering a clash between police and looters. The police threatened them several times at gunpoint and, when they realised Oleniuk had photographed them hitting looters, they hurled him to the ground, grabbed his two cameras and removed memory cards containing around 350 pictures. His press card was also torn from him. When he asked for his pictures back, the police insulted him and threatened to hit him. Harper said in a report about the police violence in the Toronto Star that, given the situation in New Orleans, there was not doubt that the police saw journalists as an obstacle to their efforts to regain control of the city. First Estimate Puts Storm's Economic Toll at $100 Billion (September 3, 2005)
A risk management firm yesterday offered the first estimate of economic losses from Hurricane Katrina - $100 billion - and said that private insurance would probably cover less than a quarter of that. Federal money and charitable contributions may need to do the rest. Saying the damage already appeared far greater than expected, Risk Management Solutions in Newark, Calif., said that insured losses would range from $20 billion to $35 billion, much higher than the firm's initial estimate of $10 billion to $25 billion. The new figures suggest that Hurricane Katrina will cost the insurance industry more than any other natural disaster on record (...) Risk Management Solutions estimated that the flood in New Orleans had inundated 150,000 properties, making it the most damaging flood in the nation's history.

Global Warming May Spawn More Super-Storms

Katrina fuels global warming storm (Sept 9, 2005)
OSLO (Reuters) - Hurricane Katrina has spurred debate about global warming worldwide with some environmentalists sniping at President George W. Bush for pulling out of the main U.N. plan for braking climate change.Experts agree it is impossible to say any one storm is caused by rising temperatures. Numbers of tropical cyclones like hurricanes worldwide are stable at about 90 a year although recent U.S. research shows they may be becoming more intense.Still, the European Commission, the World Bank, some environmentalists, Australia's Greens and even Sweden's king said the disaster, feared to have killed thousands of people in the United States, could be a portent of worse to come."As climate change is happening, we know that the frequency of these disasters will increase as well as the scope," European Commission spokeswoman Barbara Helfferich said. "If we let climate change continue like it is continuing, we will have to deal with disasters like that," she said. She said it was wrong to say Katrina was caused by global warming widely blamed on emissions from cars, power plants and factories. Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf told reporters he was deeply shaken by the damage and suffering of millions of people. CLIP

How German TV saw Bush (5 Sept 2005)
German TV, however, filed a much different report. ZDF news reporter Christine Adelhardt reported the president's visit to be a completely staged event. Their crew witnessed how the open-air food distribution point Bush visited in front of the cameras was hastily set up for his photo-op and then torn down immediately after he and the herd of "news people" had left. And those women Bush hugged for the camera were not even Biloxi locals. Some have even speculated that they were looters who were just individuals wandering in the area that were quickly recruited as props for Bush's faux compassion photo-op. And as we watched the CNN video of loaders and dozers seemingly hard at work to repair the 17th Street levee where Bush was visiting, he told us and the world that progress was flowing - but according to Senator Mary Landrieu, the crew that was working so hard yesterday left and has never come back.

New Report Details Bush Administration Secrecy
WASHINGTON - September 14 - Today Rep. Henry A. Waxman released a comprehensive report on secrecy and the Bush Administration. The 81-page report systematically examines how the Administration has implemented the major laws that govern access to government records. It finds a consistent pattern: laws designed to promote public access to information have been undermined while laws that authorize the government to withhold information or operate in secret have repeatedly been expanded."The Bush Administration has an obsession with secrecy," said Rep. Waxman. "It has repeatedly rewritten laws and changed practices to reduce public and congressional scrutiny of its activities. The cumulative effect is an unprecedented assault on the laws that make our government open and accountable." CLIP

In the last couple of days, many of the broadcasters reporting from the bowl-shaped toxic waste dump that was once the city of New Orleans have stopped playing the role of wind-swept wet men facing down a big storm to become public advocates for the poor, the displaced, the starving, the dying, and the dead.

Who killed John-John? - Division 4 team names Clintons, Bush 41, 43 in JFK Jr. assassination
"I know I'm risking my life in allowing you to interview me; but I'm aware there is an operational grand jury and indictments regarding the White House, so now is the time. I'm tired of knowing all the details and perpetrators of the murder of an innocent and good man without seeing justice. John's death has caused tremendous trauma throughout the Kennedy family," said a 40ish ex Division 4 operative who consented to discuss the investigation and his part in writing the JFK Jr. plane crash preliminary and final reports authorized by the FBI. (...) During three exclusive interviews with, the ex-operative told us the final classified report specifically said “JFK Jr.’s plane broke in half just aft of the cabin. The damage was caused by a plastique (C-4) shape charge which was formed along the bottom of the fuselage and up along both sides of the walls. The charge was caused to be set off or exploded with a large spark generated by a barometric switch device triggered by the altitude of the plane. In other words, the assassins chose the altitude for the explosion of the plane--a standard procedure to make the target’s murder look like an accident.”Delbert said his team and their witnesses and families have been in physical jeopardy since 1999 “because the media did not report the truth about what happened;” and that all involved are now placing their lives in the hands of Fitzgerald and his deputies to prosecute the evidence--charges that will serve to mitigate compromised media outlets now protecting the White House with spin and insinuations that Fitzgerald is using the “perjury trap” to manufacture crimes instead of genuinely seeking evidence. Sources close to one grand jury indicate the spin will not work this time. The U.S. intelligence community is monitoring the work of all the prosecutors and grand juries. Serious crimes with supporting evidence involving three branches of government and the media have already threatened the long term survival of the Republic. (...) Delbert said the team's probe was rigorous. We found it staggering:“
a) 30-40 witnesses were thoroughly interviewed
b) Ten individuals said they actually saw JFK Jr.‘s plane explode in mid-air Essex County Airport in Caldwell, New Jersey
c) Two witnesses told the team they saw George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush at the Essex County, New Jersey airport with Israeli Mossad agent Michael Harari and another Mossad agent who were both seen standing next to JFK Jr.’s Cessna--all four were at the airport just two days before the doomed plane took off with JFK, Jr., his pregnant wife and her sister
d) Several witnesses testified they overheard the murder plot being discussed in the White House oval office
e) One ‘company’ (CIA) witness at the scene saw the bodies and the damaged plane and told the team a mid-air explosion caused the crash
f) Approximately 150 witnesses gave individual depositions and signed statements for the final report
g) Three flight instructors who worked with JFK Jr. testified he was an excellent pilot and had logged a huge number of flying hours since being licensed--he loved to fly and was that good.”Delbert told us “At the end of July, 1999, during the final phase of our investigation, we talked to several individual sources in the White House who consented to be interviewed as witnesses.” “We included their testimony in the final draft of the report which was classified until 2025--not currently available to any living individual,“ said the former operative.“Since concrete evidence of a plot involving three presidents and a current senator in the assassination of John F. Kennedy’s son--who the report said they perceived as a political threat and future rival--would not exactly inspire public confidence in the government, it’s probable that the American people will never see our final un-redacted report,” said Delbert, “unless there are grand jury murder indictments and a public trial.” CLIP

In the largest urban assault since the siege of Fallujah last November, more than 5,000 US and Iraqi troops entered this northern city before dawn Friday. But the 45-minute firefight at day's end suggested that the insurgents who have controlled much of Tall Afar for almost a year would not relinquish it easily.

US Preparing Massive Assault on Tal Afar (Sept 8)
The United States is considering an all-out military attack in the coming weeks against the town of Tal Afar in northern Iraq, which it sees as a stronghold of rebellion, a US general said on Thursday.

US and Iraqi troops attack insurgent stronghold (10/09/2005)
US and Iraqi troops swept into the insurgent stronghold of Tal Afar early today, conducting house-to-house searches and battering down walls with armoured vehicles in a second bid to clean the city of militant fighters.South of Baghdad, Police made yet another gruesome discovery, uncovering the bodies of 18 men who had been handcuffed and shot to death.“Two days ago gunmen in police uniforms broke into their houses in a Shiite neighbourhood of Iskandariya,” said police Capt. Adel Kitab said.Iskandariya is 30 miles south of Baghdad. Dozens of bodies, apparently killed in summary executions in growing tit-for-tat vengeance killings by Shiite and Sunni “death squads” have been reported in recent weeks. (...) US forces cleared Tal Afar of militants last year but quickly withdrew, leaving behind a force of only 500 that was unable to block the militants’ return. In a bid to soften resistance, the US military had carried out repeated air and artillery strikes against the city, where most of the population of 200,000 was reported to have fled to the surrounding countryside.

What happened in Tall Afar (19 September 2004) WHAT THEY DID A YEAR AGO!
The WaPo's Steve Fainaru, embedded with some US military in northern Iraq, has a telling story deep in today's paper that recreates some of the details of the battle in which, just last week, US forces recaptured control of the Iraqi city of Tall Afar (popn. 250,000-plus) from the "insurgents" who had previously controlled it. Like this: he tells us that during the battle, US forces turned off basic services, including water and electricity for "at least three days". An action like that constitutes a clear collective punishment of the city's people and is quite possibly a war crime. I can tell you from my own experience in war-time Beirut, most people can survive a cutoff of electricity, somehow, for some time. But a cutoff of water kills people. Especially as existing supplies become increasingly degraded and disease-ridden. CLIP

Judge Overrules Brussels Ban on Vitamins EU Supplements Directive (9-7-5)
A controversial EU directive that could ban thousands of popular vitamin and mineral supplements has been declared illegal by a European Advocate. The judgment is a victory for health food manufacturers and retailers who appealed to the European Court of Justice to overturn the proposed law. The new rules governing vitamins and minerals are due to come into effect on 1 August and are designed to improve the safety and efficacy of products sold by the industry, worth millions of pounds. Only named ingredients with proven scientific benefits have been included on an EU "positive" list of approved substances that would be allowed in health supplements.More than 300 different vitamins and minerals are not on the positive list, meaning that 5,000 supplements will be banned if the proposals become law, according to campaigners, who have been led by Carole Caplin, Cherie Blair's former lifestyle adviser. Popular supplements that will be outlawed include certain vitamin C brands, some calcium capsules and copper tablets. CLIP

Global Warming Causes Soil To Release Carbon, Study Says (September 08, 2005)
LONDON — Global warming is causing soil to release huge amounts of carbon, making efforts to fight global warming tougher than previously thought, scientists said on Wednesday. A study in the journal Nature looked at the carbon content of soil in England and Wales from 1978-2003 and found that it fell steadily, with some 13 million tonnes of carbon released from British soil each year. The team from Britain's National Soil Resources Institute at Cranfield University said its results implied a similar process would be under way in other temperate areas across the globe. "Our findings suggest the soil part of the equation is scarier than we had thought," Professor Guy Kirk, of Cranfield University, told journalists at a science conference in Dublin. "The consequence is that there is more urgency about doing something." Since the carbon appeared to be released from soil regardless of how the soil was used, they concluded that the main cause must be climate change itself. Though they could not say where all the missing carbon had gone, much of it may be entering the atmosphere as the greenhouse gases carbon dioxide and methane, which scientists say has caused global warming. Subject: Fooling with Mother Nature - Katrina was not a 'natural disaster' after all

Fooling with Mother Nature: The Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund

by Carol Adler, with Presidential Candidate John Joseph Kennedy (JJK)

Yesterday I received a phonecall from my friend, John Joseph Kennedy, who as many may recall, was a 2004 True Democrat Presidential Write-In Candidate. After expressing our mutual grief and despair about Katrina, JJK plunged into the real reason for his call. "Carol, did you know Katrina was not a 'natural disaster' after all, as President Bush keeps repeating to the people in his press conferences?"

"I've been hearing stories," I told John, "and of course, Dandelion (my publishing company) has published books that include information about environmental warfare and weather modification techniques."

I also knew about the work of Dr. Bernard Eastlund who, while working as a consultant for Advance Power Technologies, Inc. (APTI) in the 1980s, patented devices that are described as capable of "causing… total disruption of communications over a very large portion of the earth… missile or aircraft destruction, deflection or confusion… weather modification." (Angels Don't Play this HAARP, by Nick Begich & Jeane Manning, 1995, Earthpulse Press, In my archives is an article by Scott Gilbert, an environmental engineering student, written for The Ontarian at Guelph University and posted on

January 2004: "These patents were based on the ideas and fundamental research of Nicola Tesla (many of his ideas were stolen by US corporations). Some of Eastlund's patents were temporarily sealed under a US Secrecy Order. APTI and Eastlund's patents were quickly purchased by E-Systems, a company that is home to many retired and currently employed CIA agents. In 1933 E-Systems received $1.8 billion in classified contracts. Raytheon, the fourth largest US defense contractor and third largest aerospace company, currently holds the patents." (Corporate Watch website - Raytheon

The following is an excerpt from one of JJK's 2004 Presidential Campaign speeches found through a Google search: "The Bush family, Bush Sr., George W. and Florida Governor Jeb Bush are bilking the American government and victims by pocketing hundreds of millions of dollars from their on-going criminal billion-dollar 'Disaster relief' programs. Much of the money is going to them… not the victims. Wake up America!"

[During the past 20 years, JJK has been directly involved in environmental protection programs. In 1984 he created the Richter Duck Earthquake Safety Program for California and Doppler Duck Safety Programs for Tornado-Hurricane Safety. He has been an outspoken spokesman and expert on these weather conditions and safety measures to take before, during and after a disaster. He has also been a voice for the protection and preservation of the oceans and all marine life, especially the vital lives of whales and dolphins.

JJK was one of the first to publicly speak out against the MOAB (Mother of All Bombs) the Bush Family has detonated throughout the oceans for oil and gas exploration, causing immeasurable death and destruction to marine and human life. The bomb(s) are also directly responsible for the Christmas 2004 tsunami that killed hundreds of thousands of people, another "UNNATURAL DISASTER."

JJK has written a wonderful series of books and animated screenplays, "Royal Critters" and "Whale Magic" for children, based on his Save the Whales-Love for the Oceans Project.] JJK's campaign speech continued: "The environmental destruction caused by the evil, manipulative man-made hurricanes (not man-made directly by the Bush family, but increased in intensity and frequency by 'Global-Warming') has not only caused death and destruction to human lives, but has also upset and destroyed the oceans, whales, marine life and the natural order of our planet.

"I have been tracking the hurricanes this past season with keen interest. I have been privy to intelligence from the highest sources and the American Red Cross, thus confirming my suspicions; these hurricanes are all man-made by the Bush family (as a result of their industrial lobbyists and political supporters' lack of concern for the environment, and 'Global Warming') and I intend to hold the entire Bush Family Administration criminally, financially and morally responsible for the cruelest assault on humankind and our environment once I become President.”

And now, back to my phone conversation with JJK: "I want to share something with you, Carol. Go to Network Solutions, and look up

"Then type in the name of this website or domain, as if you wished to reserve or purchase it. "You will receive the message that it has already been taken, of course," said JJK. "Now scroll to the place where you can learn more information about the owner of this domain."

I listened carefully, not sure yet where JJK was going with these instructions, but well aware it was leading to something critically important. "You will learn in the WHOIS Record that was registered by the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund, 55 W 125th Street, New York, NY 10027 US, and the record was created 02-Sept-2005, expiring on 02-Sep-2005," JJK continued. "And?" I waited. "Now," instructed JJK, "scroll down further. Note the underlying registry data for this record. Here is what you will find”:

I followed JJK's instructions. I found the information he wanted me to see. Further research also revealed the fund was set up months in advance of Hurricane Katrina. "This is premeditated mass murder, just like the Florida Hurricanes last year before the presidential election, to put people in a state of vertigo and mass confusion," states John Joseph Kennedy. "The man-ufactured tornados, tsunamis and hurricanes are the ultimate weapons of mass destruction."

The information JJK delivered to me is a gift from Mother Nature. She asked me to pass it on because she felt if enough people saw this article, they would realize the urgency of her call for help.

Indication of Scalar Weather Engineering? Deconstructing Katrina: Scalar Signatures Kent Steadman has found a remarkable photo of Katrina which shows a very strange anomaly which MAY be indication of weather engineering. He suggests it is some kind of "ion beam." Kent has always done excellent work in following the scalar weather wars. Here is the picture he uncovered: What the hell IS that thing? It is time for us all to start educating ourselves on these matters because Tom Bearden says he imagines that EVERY major weather event from now on will probably be partially engineered. In the case of Katrina he estimates a 70% chance it was "pumped up" to category 5 status with longitudinal wave interferometers ("Tesla howitzers"). The picture above is still at its source site at NOAA: More links to scalar weather engineering The scalar weapons are "aimed" via an EM grid called the "woodpecker grid." Scalar waves pass right through matter but will flow along EM (electromagnetic) structures as if they were wires. The woodpecker grid was started up by the Russian on July 4, 1976. If you listen to the pulses transduced to sound they sound like a woodpecker pecking, hence the name. By a means I do not yet understand any "cell" in this grid can be selected as the target zone for the two intersecting beams which make up a scalar weapon. You can read Tom Bearden's explanation of the grid here: CLIP

Can Hurricanes Be Used As Weapons Of Mass Destruction? If Not, Why Did The UN Outlaw Such Practices? (9-5-5)
What the masses of human beings all over the world have not been told is that it is possible to control and manipulate weather with a technology called 'scalar energy'. These energy weapons have other major capabilities that are even more dangerous than atomic weapons. Scalar Weapons could literally destroy the world and it is of the utmost urgency that human beings all over the world must be told of the existence of this devastating technology. If none of this is true, why is there a law on the books of the United Nations, which prohibits one Nation from using environmental and weather manipulation weapons and technology against another Nation? Nikola Tesla, one of the most incredible inventors of all time, developed this 'scalar technology' in the early 1900's. He created one device, about the size of a pack of cigarettes, which nearly brought down a New York highrise before he reportedly smashed it with a hammer to stop the vibrational energy which was beginning to shatter the building. In fact, many major technologies currently being used today were invented by Tesla including alternating current, light bulbs, robotics etc. etc. Tesla also invented an advanced technology to provide Free Energy to the entire planet, anywhere, and mainly for this reason the "powers that be" eliminated Tesla's name from history books. It's not difficult to understand how 'they' wouldn't permit Free Energy to power the planet. Can you imagine a world, where OIL, HYDRO ELECTRIC ENERGY AND NUCLEAR ENERGY would be obsolete and no longer necessary as a major energy source? Tesla wanted to give his free energy technology to the world, and for this reason all his funding was cut off by JP Morgan, Westinghouse and others, and he was never permitted to be recognized for his monumental achievements. The New World Order prefers that no one know that Tesla ever existed, so they can withhold this incredible technology from the People. After Tesla died, the U.S.and Russia raced to confiscate all of Tesla's papers. Within his writings and drawings was the secret of energy technology... unlimited power which could clearly be used to dominate the world if it wound up in the wrong hands. This amazing technology can also be used to heal people from many diseases, simply and for pennies. (So can such energy theoretically be used to induce disease in masses of people.) The current ultra-billion dollar medical-pharmaceutical industry would not be thrilled about Tesla's technology being used to replace their primitive but fantastically-profitable industries. So, human beings are forced to continue to suffer from diseases that can be easily and successfully treated using Tesla's technology. Sounds too good to be true? It's not. Scalar technology can also be used in an EVIL WAY and has the potential to cause huge amounts of damage by using weather as a Weapon of Mass Destruction. This technology exists now. {see links below}. In fact, some government officials have tried in vain to get a law on the books that says that Scalar Weapons cannot be used by any Nation to manipulate weather to be used as a "weapon" Unfortunately, the US, Russia and Japan - and possibly other nations - have been pursuing the use of advanced energy technology to control the weather. Can this energy weapon be used to 'steer' hurricanes? Someone should seriously check it out. The US Air Force official policy is to completely control the weather by 2025. And the evidence points to substantial progress already having been made. Read the following links about using weather as a weapon of war... CLIP

EARTHQUAKES: Natural or Man-Made?
But afterwards there occurred violent earthquakes and floods; and in a single day and night of misfortune all your warlike men in a body sank into the earth, and the island of Atlantis in like manner disappeared in the depths of the sea. - Plato in Timaeus Two devastating earthquakes in the month of September 1999 again focused the world's attention on one of nature's most terrifying and destructive forces. Earthquakes in Turkey and Taiwan took the lives of thousands and left even more people homeless and in fear of returning to their devastated communities. The death and devastation caused by major earthquakes around the world can only worsen in years to come, as growing urban development and unprecedented population growth compound the lethal effects of natural and, as some researchers claim, man-made seismic hazards. With the world's population estimated to pass the 6 billion mark this year, there are fewer unpopulated places for quakes to strike. And with ever more people to accommodate, there is more multistoried construction in vulnerable fault zones. As a result, destructive earthquakes "are the wave of the future," seismic expert Kerry Sieh of the California Institute of Technology says. "There are 40 cities of a million or more people within 100 kilometres of a major plate boundary, and all those are good candidates for a large event. (...) Suppressed Research: Tesla Technologies Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, Nicola Tesla is one of this century's greatest scientists. A prodigious inventor of electronic devices and pioneer of free energy, Tesla never gained the recognition he deserved because his scientific breakthroughs were deemed to 'sensitive' by the ruling corporate and government powers of the day. Thus much of his research was suppressed and stolen. In a book entitled Tesla - The Lost Inventions, a section is titled "Man-Made Earthquake". It discloses Tesla's fascination with the power of resonance and he experimented with it not only electrically but on the mechanical plane as well. In his Manhattan, USA lab, Tesla built mechanical vibrators and tested their powers. One experiment got out of hand. Tesla attached a powerful little vibrator driven by compressed air to a steel pillar. Leaving it there, he went about his business. Meanwhile, down the street, a violent quaking built up, shaking down plaster, bursting plumbing, cracking windows, and breaking heavy machinery off its anchorages. Tesla's vibrator had found the resonant frequency of a deep sandy layer of subsoil beneath his building, setting off a small earthquake. Soon Tesla's own building began to quake. It is reported that just as the police broke into his lab, Tesla was seen smashing the device with a sledge hammer, the only way he could promptly stop it. CLIP

(...) I am completely convinced that Katrina was a engineered storm. Possibly a part of the "re-wilding" you have mentioned on your site. I just heard that when people will be allowed back, that it will be under Martial Law, your ID will be checked by the National Guard when you enter, and if you leave again, you will be stopped and once again checked out. Sound familiar? We've been expecting this for awhile, but I must admit, they are molding the public's opinion so well that we might already be in too deep... CLIP

The Tsunami that was Katrina (August 30, 2005) Lots of pics!
Ivan and Katrina These are both very Russian sounding names. It has been established that the former Soviet Union (fSU) developed and boasted of weather modification technology during the 1960's and 70's with deployment against the United States coming in 1976 with the audible arrival of the woodpecker grid. These weather operations continue to this day.I have posted this page FAR sooner than I would like to have. I would like to have had the post mortem of Katrina from the National Hurricane Center to work from as well as a little time/distance from the events of this week so that perspective can be maintained. I will continue to update and add to this page in the days ahead. This nation has not faced an economic crisis like the one that Katrina will spark in the days and months ahead. But that is one of the reasons Katrina was absolutely guided along the path that we all watched. This path has resulted in maximum damage to the energy infrastructure, transportation infrastructure and to the psyche of those that remain susceptible to further storms this year and in the years to follow. HAARP: A Weapon of Total Destruction
Editor's Note: Many articles have been written about HAARP. What this author wishes to make clear is that he believes HAARP is not the actual facility designed to be used as a military system but a "front" or "red herring" facility which allows the authorities to deny important questions about its purpose and operation. The real facility is located in Poker Flats, North of Fairbanks, Alaska. Please read the Congressional Executive Summary which is provided here in full for the truth.

The Titanic of Our Era
The complete failure of the Bush administration-and to a lesser extent state and local authorities on the Gulf Coast- to respond to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina has raised questions about the motives at play.

United States Warns Foreign Governments of ‘Impending’ Internal Crises (August 25, 2005)
Russian Intelligence Analysts are reporting today that the Military Leaders of the United States have communicated to many of the worlds leaders that a 'crises' is about to occur in their country and further warning that any 'outside' interference into the internal affairs of the United States will be met with 'swift and sure' action. This unprecedented warning comes at a time when multiple threats are confronting not only the United States, but also the entire world, and which include;
1.) An impending flu pandemic estimated to kill upwards of 1 billion people;
2.) An acceleration of Global Weather Changes destroying up to 20% of this years crops in many Western Nations;
3.) The skyrocketing costs of oil threatening the stability of the Worlds Financial Markets;
4.) The impending crackdown on American citizens and imposition of Martial Law; and
5.) Growing instability in the very core of the Earth itself giving rise to fears of mass earthquakes and volcanic activity on a scale not seen in modern times. CLIP

They have seen a steady build up of heavy materials just sitting in storage facilities. He also commented that they were rushed through a training course on new weapons systems they just rolled out. He thought this very odd and a first. This sent shivers all through me.Not to push any panic buttons I spoke with a dear woman with whom I work whose son is in the Army in an artillery unit. Armed Mexican Troops Invade US (September 8, 2005)
Eyewitnesses: Under cover of aid, combat ready soldiers roll into Texas - Two separate credible sources known to Alex Jones have reported that armed combat ready Mexican troops have entered Texas. The Associated Press reported today that unarmed Mexican troops were being escorted by the US army to help relief efforts for hurricane Katrina. However, the report was only specific to one convoy. The convoys reported to Alex Jones are said to be fully armed with Heckler & Koch German assault rifles. The first sighting occurred at 12:30 on Highway 183 traveling towards Austin. The eyewitness described at least ten vehicles, four jeeps (other witnesses described them as Humvees) and six combat trucks brimming with armed Mexican troops wearing body armor, helmets and rifles. The troops riding in the jeeps were wearing holstered hand guns. The vehicles were not being escorted by the US army or any other government vehicles and the vehicles were festooned with insignia reading 'Mexico MP's' and the Mexican flag. The second sighting of a similar nature occurred north of Austin on I35 near Georgetown Texas.Another source known to Alex Jones called the Austin Police Department and they said that they knew about the armed troops. The police asked if the troops had threatened the caller. The caller said they threaten the sovereignty of the country and the police laughed and hung up.The very notion that these troops are entering Texas to provide aid directly contradicts the fact that Alex Jones personally visited Austin Convention Center and saw piles of food and clothes lined up for refugees. In other areas, aid is desperately required because FEMA has been deliberately sabotaging relief efforts. The LA Times reported today that "scores of police and volunteer firefighters from around the nation, as well as trucks loaded with donated water, were even now being prevented from entering New Orleans while troops conduct house-to-house searches." FEMA has also been cutting communication lines. Sheriffs in several counties of New Orleans have set up armed guard patrols to prevent FEMA from further actions of sabotage. FEMA has therefore intentionally created the climate for the justification of foreign troops entering the US. CLIP

Blackwater Mercenaries Deploy in New Orleans
Heavily armed paramilitary mercenaries from the Blackwater private security firm, infamous for their work in Iraq, are openly patrolling the streets of New Orleans.

Ruptured New Orleans Levee had help failing - New Orleans, LA -- Divers inspecting the ruptured levee walls surrounding New Orleans found something that piqued their interest: Burn marks on underwater debris chunks from the broken levee wall ! One diver, a member of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, saw the burn marks and knew immediately what caused them. He secreted a small chunk of the cement inside his diving suit and later arranged for it to be sent to trusted military friends at a The U.S. Army Forensic Laboratory at Fort Gillem, Georgia for testing. According to well placed sources, a military forensic specialist determined the burn marks on the cement chunks did, in fact, come from high explosives. The source, speaking on condition of anonymity said "We found traces of boron-enhanced fluoronitramino explosives as well as PBXN-111. This would indicate at least two separate types of explosive devices." The levee ruptures in New Orleans did not take place during Hurricane Katrina, but rather a day after the hurricane struck. Several residents of New Orleans and many Emergency Workers reported hearing what sounded like large, muffled explosions from the area of the levee, but those were initially discounted as gas explosions from homes with leaking gas lines. If these allegations prove true, the ruptured levee which flooded New Orleans was a deliberate act of mass destruction perpetrated by someone with access to military-grade UNDERWATER high explosives. More details as they become available . . .

"The 17th Street Canal Levy Was Breeched On Purpose" (September 07, 2005)
The Great New Orleans Land Grab - Los Angeles, Alta California -Among the most telling anomalies pointing to something terribly afoot is the gun battle, killing 5, that occurred at the breached levy between the New Orleans Police Department and, what have now been identified as U.S. military agents. An Associated Press report, which has now disappeared, stated that at least five USA Defense Department personnel where shot dead by New Orleans police officers in the proximity of the breached levy. A spokesman for the Army Corps of Engineers said later that those killed were "federal contractors" on their way to "repair" a canal. The "contractors" were on their way to launch barges into Lake Pontchartrain, in an operation to "fix" the 17th Street Canal, according to the Army Corps of Engineers spokesman. Deputy Police Chief W.J. Riley of New Orleans later reported that his policemen had shot at eight suspicious people near the breached levy, killing five or six. Who were these "military agents"that were killed by the police near the 17th Street Canal breached levy and what were they doing there? Why did the New Orleans police find it necessary to shoot and kill 5 or 6 of them? Were these U.S. Department of Defense personnel a Special Forces group or Navy Seals with top secret orders to sabotaged the levy? There are verifiable reports that at least 100 New Orleans police officers have disappeared from the face of the earth and that two have committed suicide. Could these be policemen that died defending the levy against sabotage by "federal contractors"? Another telling incident that points to a "nefarious plan" is what New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin said at the height of the crisis. He said publicly, "I fear the CIA may take me out!" Mayor Nagin, a Black, said this twice. He told a reporter for the Associated Press: "If the CIA slips me something and next week you don't see me, you'll all know what happened." Later he told interviewers for CNN on a live broadcast that he feared the "CIA might take me out." What does Mayor Ray Nagin know and why does he fear the CIA? In an interview by WWL TV, Mayor Nagin complained vociferously that Louisiana National Guard Blackhawk helicopters were being stopped from dropping sandbags to plug the levy soon after it breeched. There is evidence that no repairs were allowed on the levy until after New Orleans was totally flooded! Many civilian groups who were attempting to aid people trapped in their attics, on their roofs and at the Astrodome are reporting that FEMA, other federal agents and the US military essentially "stopped" them from doing so. Convoys that were organized by truckers and carrying "food and water" were blocked by agents of the federal government on the highways and roads leading to New Orleans. CLIP

Levee Bombed By Corp of Engineers
Raw transcript of comments by NOLA evacuee Clara Barthelemy: The 17th street levee was bombed by the Army Corps of Engineers to save the more valuable real estate in the city.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) sabotaged the levee. So say more than 25 eyewitnesses, primarily but not exclusively blacks. Some weather-warfare experts contend Hurricane Katrina was man-made, created and directed by the latest technology and high-level treachery.

She is from St. Bernard Parish. “More expensive places were saved at the expense of the neighborhoods that aren’t as valuable… Rebuilding Bourbon Street matters more to the government… that’s what mattered to Governor Blanco…” CLIP

A second source for the entry on deliberate flooding of the 9th Ward
Also heard that part of the reason our house flooded is they dynamited part of the levee after the first section broke - they did this to prevent Uptown (the rich part of town) from being flooded. Apparently they used too much dynamite, thus flooding part of the Bywater. So now I know who is responsible for flooding my house - not Katrina, but our government.

Five dead were army workers: report (05 Sept 05),5478,16494518%255E1702,00.html
Associated Press reports that at least five people shot dead by police as they walked across a New Orleans bridge yesterday were contractors working for the US Defence department. A spokesman for the Army Corps of Engineers said the victims were contractors on their way to repair a canal. The contractors were on their way across the bridge to launch barges into Lake Pontchartrain, in an operation to fix the 17th Street Canal, according to the spokesman. The shootings took place on the Danziger Bridge, across a canal connecting Lake Pontchartrain to the Mississippi River. Early on Sunday, Deputy Police Chief W. J. Riley of New Orleans said police shot at eight people, killing five or six.No other details were immediately available.

Dear ALL...

I'm glad to know more about what Hatonn was referring to in his message that I wrote you about earlier.

I asked him if this is something that at last I would be involved in (I've been worthless to the group so far) and he said eventually, but for now, I'm doing what I'm supposed to by getting out Matthew's messages and answering others' questions/handling the books.

He said that when Matthew sent out his message last January about this being a pivotal year for major changes, it didn't even include the New Orleans disaster because that wasn't known in all details -- the thought forms weren't all in the mass consciousness regarding the aftermath. He also confirmed what Matthew had told me: The levees were "exploded" and the repairmen who were killed by the "police" knew it; that others know it too and this will come out in a few weeks, paving the way to exposure of the truth of 9/11; it will force Bush and others out -- not like NESARA provides (not taped resignations or the whole gov't resigning), but ultimately it will accomplish the same aims. He said that in the long line of dominoes that started falling slowly, a few are bigger than all the others, and this was a huge one that will make all the others fall fast and furious.

When Matthew told me those things (minus the domino scenario) and I asked why he hadn't included it in his message, he said that because of the huge death toll (not yet publicly realized) and the despair of millions who lost families and friends and/or whose lives have been uprooted, in his judgment it was more compassionate not to. He also felt that he couldn't disclose everything he and the other high light beings knew and still ask readers to send light to those whose darkness caused this in one breath and in the next, say this will insure the end of Bush and Company and lead to the rest of their lies coming out. When I asked if he'll include what he knew in his next message, he said he didn't know if he would or not. At that point he preferred to let some evidence come out at least on the Internet, even though the facts becoming known little by little will be just as terrible for those people affected directly -- for everyone really -- so we'll see. (He just said that's still his stance.)

What's clear is, this country is in for a titanic shock, and in various ways, we're part of the movement that will truthfully educate the masses and initiate all the reforms needed. We came here this time to do just that -- I am SO ready!

LOVE and PEACE... and God be with all of us...

After Katrina fiasco, time for Bush to go

By Gordon Adams

September 8, 2005

WASHINGTON - The disastrous federal response to Katrina exposes a record of incompetence, misjudgment and ideological blinders that should lead to serious doubts that the Bush administration should be allowed to continue in office.

When taxpayers have raised, borrowed and spent $40 billion to $50 billion a year for the past four years for homeland security but the officials at the Federal Emergency Management Agency cannot find their own hands in broad daylight for four days while New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast swelter, drown and die, it is time for them to go.

When funding for water works and levees in the gulf region is repeatedly cut by an administration that seems determined to undermine the public responsibility for infrastructure in America, despite clear warnings that the infrastructure could not survive a major storm, it seems clear someone is playing politics with the public trust.

When rescue and medical squads are sitting in Manassas and elsewhere in northern Virginia and foreign assistance waits at airports because the government can't figure out how to insure the workers, how to use the assistance or which jurisdiction should be in charge, it is time for the administration to leave town.

When President Bush stays on vacation and attends social functions for two days in the face of disaster before finally understanding that people are starving, crying out and dying, it is time for him to go.

When FEMA officials cannot figure out that there are thousands stranded at the New Orleans convention center - where people died and were starving - and fussed ineffectively about the same problems in the Superdome, they should be fired, not praised, as the president praised FEMA Director Michael Brown in New Orleans last week.

When Mr. Bush states publicly that "nobody could anticipate a breach of the levee" while New Orleans journalists, Scientific American, National Geographic, academic researchers and Louisiana politicians had been doing precisely that for decades, right up through last year and even as Hurricane Katrina passed over, he should be laughed out of town as an impostor.

When repeated studies of New Orleans make it clear that tens of thousands of people would be unable to evacuate the city in case of a flood, lacking both money and transportation, but FEMA makes no effort before the storm to commandeer buses and move them to safety, it is time for someone to be given his walking papers.

When the president makes Sen. Trent Lott's house in Pascagoula, Miss., the poster child for rebuilding while hundreds of thousands are bereft of housing, jobs, electricity and security, he betrays a careless insensitivity that should banish him from office.

When the president of the United States points the finger away from the lame response of his administration to Katrina and tries to finger local officials in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, La., as the culprits, he betrays the unwillingness of this administration to speak truth and hold itself accountable. As in the case of the miserable execution of policy in Iraq, Mr. Bush and Karl Rove always have some excuse for failure other than their own misjudgments.

We have a president who is apparently ill-informed, lackadaisical and narrow-minded, surrounded by oil baron cronies, religious fundamentalist crazies and right-wing extremists and ideologues. He has appointed officials who give incompetence new meaning, who replace the positive role of government with expensive baloney.

They rode into office in a highly contested election, spouting a message of bipartisanship but determined to undermine the federal government in every way but defense (and, after 9/11, one presumed, homeland security). One with Grover Norquist, they were determined to shrink Washington until it was "small enough to drown in a bathtub." Katrina has stripped the veil from this mean-spirited strategy, exposing the greed, mindlessness and sheer profiteering behind it.

It is time to hold them accountable - this ugly, troglodyte crowd of Capital Beltway insiders, rich lawyers, ideologues, incompetents and their strap-hangers should be tarred, feathered and ridden gracefully and mindfully out of Washington and returned to their caves, clubs in hand.

Gordon Adams, director of security policy studies at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, was senior White House budget official for national security in the Clinton administration.

Antiwar Groups Hope to Pack 100,000 Around White House

By Petula Dvorak / Washington Post

From the Ellipse to Lafayette Square, including the streets and sidewalks in between, the public parks encircling the White House can hold about 100,000 people, according to the National Park Service.

Antiwar groups hope to bring that many people to fill the spaces with their rally Sept. 24, the first time in more than a decade that demonstrators will be allowed to surround the White House.

At a news conference yesterday, two major antiwar coalitions announced a demonstration and march that could be the largest since the Iraq war began, according to Bill Dobbs, a spokesman for United for Peace and Justice, one of the groups organizing three days of events.

The Park Service and the groups are negotiating the fine points of a permit, such as electrical cord routes and riser placement, but "in all likelihood," the permit will be issued to the groups' specifications, Park Service spokesman Bill Line said.

The rally has been in the works for months, but public sentiment about the war has soured, which has "marked a turning point for the antiwar movement," said Brian Becker, national coordinator of the ANSWER Coalition, which is partnering with Dobbs's group.

The response to the disaster in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina has fueled antiwar sentiment, because many believe the U.S. military presence in Iraq is "hampering efforts in New Orleans," said Mounzer Sleiman, an independent political and military analyst working with ANSWER.

And antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan's camp-out last month as she sought an audience with the president outside his Texas ranch spurred a level of support from military families that similar events have not had, said Leslie Cagan, an organizer with United for Peace and Justice.

U.S. veterans from generations of wars "are now speaking out loud and clear" against the war and are joining the peace movement, Cagan said.

The coalitions are organizing buses, vans and carpools from across the country and said groups are coming from Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Texas, New York, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, New Hampshire, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Florida and North Carolina.

The groups have obtained preliminary permits for the area around the White House that day, said Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, co-founder and an attorney with the Partnership for Civil Justice, who has been negotiating for months to get approval for the rally.

Counter-demonstrators are having difficulty finding space because the antiwar groups' permits are so widespread, said Kristinn Taylor of, a group that often rallies against antiwar demonstrations.

The umbrella groups staging the event say they represent thousands of people and hundreds of causes. They include the Buddhist Peace Fellowship, the DeKalb Interfaith Network for Peace and Justice, Grandmothers for Peace, Historians Against the War, Jewish Voice for Peace, the Kalamazoo Non-Violent Opponents of War, Texans for Peace, Korea Truth Commission and dozens more.

Often, such protests encompass a variety of issues, from U.S. policy in Haiti to the practices of the World Bank. Activists say it's important to show how U.S. policies around the world and at home are interlocked.

But at yesterday's news conference, which had nearly a dozen speakers, the activists edited one another, fighting to stay on their primary message.

"Bring the troops home now," Dobbs said.

He and others said that because the organizations are getting so much support from citizens who are not members of an activist group, they are trying to keep the message clear.

"The people themselves -- ordinary, average people -- will be the decisive factor," Becker said.

He and others said they are also fighting the perception that being antiwar means that they are anti-soldier. That is why the involvement of military families and veterans is so important.

"We're not against the troops," said Mehdi Bray, who is with ANSWER. "We don't oppose the troops; we love them. That's why we want to bring them home."

Washing Away the Conservative Movement

By William Rivers Pitt -- t r u t h o u t | Perspective

06 September 2005

The responsibility of ministers for the public safety is absolute, and requires no mandate. It is in fact the prime object for which governments come into existence.

-- Winston Churchill

Somewhere, at this moment, a neoconservative is seething.

It isn't fair, he rages within. We had it wired. The House is ours, the Senate is ours, the Supreme Court is ours, the Justice Department is ours, the television news media is bought and paid for. We could act with impunity, say whatever we needed to say to get what we want, do whatever wanted, and no one could touch us. We could refashion the nation as we saw fit, whether people wanted to come along with us or not, because we know better.

We followed Leo Strauss's edicts to the letter, growls the seething neoconservative. Strauss, our neoconservative godfather, told us that this nation is best run by an elite that does not have to bother with the will or desires of the populace. Strauss told us we didn't even have to bother with the truth while pursuing our agenda. We are the elite, and we know best.

Somewhere, at this moment, a neoconservative is seething because his entire belief structure regarding government has been laid waste by a storm of singular ferocity. Hurricane Katrina has destroyed lives, ravaged a city, damaged our all-important petroleum infrastructure, and left every American with scenes of chaos and horror seared forever into their minds. Simultaneously, Hurricane Katrina has annihilated the fundamental underpinnings of conservative governmental philosophy.

What we are seeing in New Orleans is the end result of what can be best described as extended Reaganomics. Small government, budget cuts across the board, tax cuts meant to financially strangle the ability of federal agencies to function, the diversion of billions of what is left in the budget into military spending: This has been the aim and desire of the conservative movement for decades now, and they have been largely successful in their efforts.

Combine this with a wildly expensive and unnecessary war, rampant cronyism that replaces professionals with unqualified hacks at nearly every level of government, and the basic neoconservative/Straussian premise that the truth is not important and that the so-called elite know best, and you have this catastrophe laid out on a platter. The conservative and neoconservative plan for the way this country should be run has been blasted to matchsticks, their choice of priorities exposed as lacking, to say the very least.

The Katrina disaster in a nutshell: A storm that had been listed for years as #3 on America's list of "Worst Possible Things That Could Happen" arrives in New Orleans to find levees unprepared because massive budget cuts stripped away any ability to repair and augment them. The storm finds FEMA, the national agency tasked to deal with the aftermath of natural disasters, run by Bush friend Michael Brown, a guy who got fired from his last job representing the rights of Arabian horse owners. The storm finds a goodly chunk of the Louisiana National Guard sitting in a desert 7,000 miles away with their high-water Humvees parked beside them. The storm finds that our institutional decades-old unwillingness to address poverty issues left tens of thousands of people unable to get out of the way of the ram.

Grover Norquist, one of the ideological leaders of our current administration, once said he wanted to shrink the federal government until it was small enough to be drowned in a bathtub. Well, those who believe in his view of things have worked very hard to accomplish this, and we see now what happens when you do that. In this case, the government did not drown. An American city did.

Early estimates of the costs to repair the damage to New Orleans are rolling above $100 billion. The invasion and occupation of Iraq has cost many times more than that. The gigantic tax cuts of a few years ago further denuded the federal budget. Conservative and neoconservative dogma required this, and has left us singularly vulnerable. They have always wanted a weakened federal government, and now we have one, and a lot of people are dead because of it. The cost of this storm, plus the cost of the tax cuts, plus the cost of the Iraq war, plus the long-term damage to our economy caused by high gasoline prices, is going to kick the guts out of our government for a very long time to come.

In so many ultimately dangerous ways, their exposure is complete. For the last four years, we have been inundated with the claim that only Bush and the neocons can protect us from terrorism. The justification and shield for every action taken, no matter how absurd, has been that it is for our own good and defense. That's all dust now. "This is the Law and Order and Terror government," writes MSNBC newsman Keith Olbermann in his blog. "It promised protection - or at least amelioration - against all threats: conventional, radiological, or biological. It has just proved that it cannot save its citizens from a biological weapon called standing water."

Above and beyond the fact that the levees have broken all around the governmental philosophies of the conservative/neoconservative crew is the question of whether this could have been avoided with a little bit of personal responsibility. There is a lot of finger-pointing going on at the highest levels right now; at one point over the weekend, Bush defenders absurdly attempted to blame the Mayor of New Orleans for what happened. One boggles when trying to determine how the mayor of one city bears the responsibility for the damage and lack of rescue response that took place in Mississippi, Alabama and outside the realm of his parishes. This was a nicely Straussian twist on the truth, straight out of the playbook.

Could it have been avoided? Let's ask the National Weather Service, which sent out this alert on Sunday, August 28th: "A hurricane warning is in effect for the north central gulf coast from Morgan City, Louisiana, eastward to the Alabama/Florida border, including the city of New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain. Maximum sustained winds are near 160 mph with higher gusts. Katrina is a large hurricane. Coastal storm surge flooding of 18 to 22 feet above normal tide levels, locally as high as 28 feet, along with large and dangerous battering waves, can be expected near and to the east of where the center makes landfall. Some levees in the greater New Orleans area could be overtopped."

"Some levees in the greater New Orleans area could be overtopped." That was Sunday. Monday passed, and then Tuesday, and then Wednesday, and then Thursday, and then Friday, and then the weekend came, before any action of any significance whatsoever was taken to protect the lives of the citizens of that city.

Also on Sunday the 28th, Governor Blanco of Louisiana dispatched a letter to Bush formally requesting help for the horror she saw rolling towards her state over the southern horizon. "Under the provisions of Section 401 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 USC. 5121-5206 (Stafford Act), and implemented by 44 CFR 206.36, I request that you declare an expedited major disaster for the state of Louisiana as Hurricane Katrina, a Category V hurricane approaches our coast south of New Orleans; beginning on August 28, 2005 and continuing," read the letter. She went on in great detail over four full pages to list a series of requests that, had they been granted, would have spared thousands of people from death.

She was flatly ignored. Forget the fact that a hurricane hitting New Orleans has been on the danger list for decades. The Bush folks got the word on Sunday, not once but twice, and instead of swinging into action, they literally ate cake.

Have they learned anything from this? Hardly. The most important bit on this week's conservative agenda, beyond stuffing Mr. Roberts into the Chief Justice chair, is to repeal the estate tax. Yes, that's correct, before we do anything else, we have to make sure the rich of this nation get an even larger slice of the pie. This caused DNC Chairman Howard Dean to launch a singularly pointed salvo over the weekend.

"Countless thousands of our fellow Americans throughout the Gulf Coast region continue to suffer in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina," said Dean. "While some have begun the painful task of rebuilding their lives and coping with the unfathomable loss, so many still await help. And the cost of this disaster in human and material terms remains unknown. It's simply irresponsible for Senator Frist and Ken Mehlman to even think about spending our tax dollars on breaks for millionaires at a time when our top priority must be to ensure we have the resources needed to address the long and short term costs associated with rescue, recovery, and rebuilding in the wake of hurricane Katrina. Not to mention the vital lesson we learned this week about the deadly cost of diverting funds at the expense of the safety of the American people. These costs, continued Dean, "also come at a time when our nation faces a massive deficit, and mounting costs in the ongoing war in Iraq."

It isn't irresponsible, Chairman. It's standard operating procedure. They've been doing it like this for so long that they've forgotten how to do it any other way. They are such true believers that they cannot fathom doing it any other way. Likely, they will get away with it, and the loss of estate tax revenues will further damage our nation's ability to care for its own.

The house of cards has fallen in. A generation of conservative thinking, combined with five years of neoconservative thrashing, has finally come to an unavoidable head. The agencies tasked to protect us - FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security to name two - have been proven to be utterly useless. The heads of these agencies - Chertoff and Brown - are the perfect avatars of Bush's way of doing business, insofar as they have no business being in the positions they are in. The conservative movement has failed spherically, from all sides and in all directions.

So here's a thought: Let's repudiate these fools. When the basic software for the operating system of a computer is proven to be riddled with bugs and bad code, it is time to rewrite the whole thing. We have to do that here, with our government and institutions, and we have to do it now. Throw conservative dogma into the dustbin of history where it belongs.

Remember that a massive, highly industrialized and infrastructured, diverse nation requires an effective central government, funded properly and staffed by professionals and patriots, in order to keep the wheels on the road. Remember the words of that great Republican, Oliver Wendell Holmes, who said, "Taxes are the price we pay to live in a civilized society." What we are seeing in New Orleans is not civilized society, but anarchy. The reasons for this are as clear as the nose on your face.

They have failed us. Many people are dead because of it. It's time to change the software. Enough of this Boo Radley leadership.

FEMA Deliberately Sabotaging Hurricane Relief Efforts
Multiple parishes revolt, use armed guards to defend against feds

Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones | September 6 2005

Numerous credible sources have come forward with examples of how the Federal Emergency Management Agency is deliberately sabotaging Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in New Orleans. This represents a ruthless attempt on the part of FEMA to impose a federal takeover of the area for their own benefit amid a tragedy that has already claimed anything up to 10,000 lives.

The mainstream media has picked up on this story but is whitewashing it as just another 'failure' of the federal government in dealing with the crisis.

In reality the actions are part of a coordinated campaign to deepen the scope of the disaster in order to force through bumper funding increases for FEMA.

Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard (pictured below) appeared on Meet the Press Sunday and broke down in tears as he described FEMA's criminal activities.

"We have been abandoned by our own country. Hurricane Katrina will go down in history as one of the worst storms ever to hit an American coast, but the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina will go down as one of the worst abandonments of Americans on American soil ever in U.S. history."

We had Wal-Mart deliver three trucks of water, trailer trucks of water. FEMA turned them back. They said we didn't need them. This was a week ago. FEMA--we had 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel on a Coast Guard vessel docked in my parish. The Coast Guard said, "Come get the fuel right away." When we got there with our trucks, they got a word. "FEMA says don't give you the fuel." Yesterday--yesterday--FEMA comes in and cuts all of our emergency communication lines. They cut them without notice. Our sheriff, Harry Lee, goes back in, he reconnects the line. He posts armed guards on our line and says, "No one is getting near these lines."

Why would FEMA, an organization supposedly tasked with helping in a time of crisis, deliberately cut police communication lines? This is a blatant example of sabotage and a sick push to make the disaster worse. In carrying out these actions, FEMA are no better than the animals who shot at rescue workers and helicopters.

Watch the video of the Meet the Press interview.

The mission of FEMA has never in reality been to bring people food and water and help in times of crisis. Alex Jones has attended numerous FEMA drills where the whole point of the exercise is to round people up, break up families and institute a brutal police state crackdown.

FEMA need to create a chaotic atmosphere in New Orleans so they can legitimize what they are doing.

We now have multiple reports of police being ordered to guard key infrastructures in order to defend them from FEMA federal agents. Sheriffs in numerous different counties are guarding highways to keep FEMA out. FEMA is being treated as the enemy because they are sabotaging key facilities in an effort to intentionally worsen the already desperate scenes of horror in New Orleans.

FEMA is sabotaging lines of communication so their activities cannot be exposed to the wider relief authorities and the media.

Commenting on the sabotage by FEMA of communication lines, Washington insider Wayne Madsen states,

"Jamming radio and other communications such as television signals is part of a Pentagon tactic called "information blockade" or "technology blockade." The tactic is one of a number of such operations that are part of the doctrine of "information warfare" and is one of the psychological operations (PSYOPS) methods used by the US Special Operations Command."

Radio host Carol Baker who has been tracking the FEMA sabotage stated that Plaquemines Parish Sheriff Jeff Hingle had his deputies patrol the county line under orders not to let FEMA in.

As is discussed in the Meet the Press interview, Jefferson Parish Sheriff Harry Lee also has armed guards patrolling the county line in order to prevent the FEMA sabotage.

FEMA has a number of executive orders that outline the total federal takeover of any US city.

For a full synopsis of FEMA's executive orders in light of the hurricane, click here.

FEMA is clearly using this human catastrophe as a means of executing its decade long plans and providing the pretext for future takeover scenarios of all major American cities.

Amongst a litany of government inaction and outright dereliction, this is the most alarming evidence to emerge yet that clearly indicates an agenda for the federal government to profit and expand its power from exploiting the aftermath of the hurricane.

We will continue to track this story as it develops.

Who is jamming communications in New Orleans? (September 2, 2005)
September 2, 2005 -- Who is jamming communications in New Orleans? Ham radio operators are reporting that communications in and around New Orleans are being jammed. In addition, perplexed ham radio operators who were enlisted by the Federal government in 911 are not being used for hurricane Katrina Federal relief efforts. There is some misinformation circulating on the web that the jamming is the result of solar flares. Ham radio operators report that the flares are not the source of the communications jamming. If anyone at the National Security Agency is aware of the source of the jamming, from direction finding or satellite intelligence, please discretely contact me at (from a private or temporary email account). In this case, the Bush administration cannot hide behind national security and it is the duty of every patriotic American to report such criminal activity to the press. Even though the information on the jamming may be considered classified -- it is in the public interest to disclose it. Also, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is reporting that no aircraft over New Orleans have been fired on over New Orleans or anywhere else in the area. Are the reports of shots being fired at aircraft an attempt by the Bush administration to purposely delay the arrival of relief to the city's homeless and dying poor? The neocons have turned New Orleans into Baghdad on the Mississippi. New Orleans: Who is jamming communications and why? UPDATE: We can now report that the jamming of New Orleans' communications is emanating from a pirate radio station in the Caribbean. The noise is continuous and it is jamming frequencies, including emergency high frequency (HF) radios, in the New Orleans area. The radio frequency jammers were heard last night, stopped for a while, and are active again today. The Pentagon must locate the positions of these transmitters and order the Air Force to bomb them immediately. However, we now have a new unconfirmed report that the culprit may be the Pentagon itself. The emitter is an IF (Intermediate Frequency) jammer that is operating south southwest of New Orleans on board a U.S. Navy ship, according to an anonymous source. The jamming is cross-spectrum and interfering with superheterodyne receiver components, including the emergency radios being used in New Orleans relief efforts...

Subject: Bush's Hurricane Response a Disaster

Bush's Hurricane Response a Disaster

Nearly five years ago, the Bush administration rode into office bearing its cynicism about government high, like a banner.

It promoted a massive tax cut as a way of "starving the beast" of federal government. President Bush traveled the country telling us that we were overdependent on the government for help with healthcare and retirement. To those wondering what resources might see them into old age, he advised: "a conservative mix of stocks and bonds."

New Orleans is, or should be, the graveyard of the conservative ideology that government is useless. An American city is reduced to Third World desperation as people who own nothing scrounge for necessities in a sea of waste and federal officials offer lame excuses about how their disaster plans would have worked fine had there not been, you know, a disaster. The president, at the head of a global power that can't get its own troops or supplies off their bases to reach the needful, whines, "The private sector needs to do its part."

This deplorable performance has deep roots. Joe M. Allbaugh, a Bush campaign hack without any crisis management experience who was named director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, disparaged federal disaster assistance as "an oversized entitlement program" before Congress in 2001. The public's expectations of government in a disaster situation, he said, "may have ballooned beyond what is an appropriate level." He advised stricken communities to rely for help on "faith-based organizations … like the Salvation Army and the Mennonite Disaster Service."

If Allbaugh were not an amateur, he would have known that communities, "faith-based organizations" and the private sector become overwhelmed by disasters more modest than this one. In a crisis the federal government should be the first responder, not the last, to take charge, not wait to be asked.

Cynicism on such a scale is self-perpetuating. Determined to portray government as little but an intrusion into people's lives, this gang made it irrelevant to hundreds of thousands of victims of Hurricane Katrina — thus giving them, and us, good reason to be cynical after all.

The federal officials assigned to New Orleans have displayed an appalling combination of arrogance and ignorance. Thursday evening on NPR, I heard Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, who oversees FEMA, dismiss reports of thousands of refugees trapped at the New Orleans convention center for days without sustenance. He called the reports, in so many words, "rumors and anecdotes."

Informed that an NPR reporter had been on the scene, he sniffed, "I can't argue with you about what your reporter tells you." Later, his staff called back to say that he had "received a report confirming the situation" and that he was now "working tirelessly" to get food to the location.

At a news conference that day, FEMA Director Michael Brown, Allbaugh's successor and college chum, attributed the death toll in New Orleans "to people who did not heed evacuation warnings." Insensitive to the truth that many of the stranded had no way of responding to the warnings — no money, no transport out of the city and nowhere to go — he blamed them for having failed to prepare any better than, well, the federal government.

He also described security in the city, where snipers were firing on rescue boats and a mob beat back police trying to impose order at the convention center, as "pretty darn good." The image of lawlessness, he said, was fomented by those willing to "stick a camera" in front of "bad people."

The Bush administration is not alone in having ignored pleas to improve the hurricane and flood defenses of New Orleans. But it bears sole responsibility for a crisis response that has been fairly labeled a national disgrace. FEMA drafted an action plan for a New Orleans flood: pre-position food, supplies and hospital ships for immediate deployment in the aftermath. Brown and Chertoff failed to implement it adequately, pleading that no one could have anticipated a disaster that had in fact been anticipated by engineers, geographers and political leaders for decades. As I write, the Navy hospital ship USNS Comfort remains moored in Baltimore, not to arrive off New Orleans until the end of this week.

President Bush will surely feel the consequences of his dereliction. Every policy of his administration will be viewed through the prism of the debacle of New Orleans. The pursuit of a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein, supported by manipulated intelligence, has sucked billions out of the treasury and removed more than 30% of Louisiana and Mississippi National Guard members from their homes, so they must watch the disaster unfold from half a world away instead of assisting their own communities. Tax cuts for the wealthy have been financed by budget cuts for disaster preparedness and other crucial programs. Four years of anti-terrorism planning have failed to produce a competent system for mitigating a metropolitan cataclysm — one that, on the ground, is indistinguishable from the effects of the terrorist attack we've supposedly been girding for since 9/11.

Then there's Bush's sustained assault on social insurance programs such as Social Security, safety nets that are to be replaced by the slogan "You're on your own."

New Orleans is not a local calamity; it belongs to us all, not least because it signals what to expect from this administration. If a major earthquake strikes Los Angeles or San Francisco, will President Bush wait to respond until he can conclude his vacation, as he did last week? Will his appointees express surprise at an eventuality that "no one could have predicted"?

Probably. George W. Bush is known for never admitting his mistakes. Consequently, he never learns from his mistakes. The chances are dismal that he will learn from this one. We're on our own.

Subject: Eyewitness Report From New Orleans Gives Credence To Allegations That Katrina Was An 'Artificially Enhanced' Catastrophe

Hurricane Katrina-Our Experiences

Larry Bradshaw, Lorrie Beth Slonsky

Two days after Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, the Walgreen's store at the corner of Royal and Iberville streets remained locked. The dairy display case was clearly visible through the windows. It was now 48 hours without electricity, running water, plumbing. The milk, yogurt, and cheeses were beginning to spoil in the 90-degree heat. The owners and managers had locked up the food, water, pampers, and prescriptions and fled the City. Outside Walgreen's windows, residents and tourists grew increasingly thirsty and hungry.

The much-promised federal, state and local aid never materialized and the windows at Walgreen's gave way to the looters. There was an alternative. The cops could have broken one small window and distributed the nuts, fruit juices, and bottle water in an organized and systematic manner. But they did not. Instead they spent hours playing cat and mouse, temporarily chasing away the looters.

We were finally airlifted out of New Orleans two days ago and arrived home yesterday (Saturday). We have yet to see any of the TV coverage or look at a newspaper. We are willing to guess that there were no video images or front-page pictures of European or affluent white tourists looting the Walgreen's in the French Quarter.

We also suspect the media will have been inundated with "hero" images of the National Guard, the troops and the police struggling to help the "victims" of the Hurricane. What you will not see, but what we witnessed, were the real heroes and heroes of the hurricane relief effort: the working class of New Orleans. The maintenance workers, who used a fork lift to carry the sick and disabled. The engineers, who rigged, nurtured and kept the generators running. The electricians, who improvised thick extension cords stretching over blocks to share the little electricity we had in order to free cars stuck on rooftop parking lots. Nurses, who took over for mechanical ventilators, spent many hours on end manually forcing air into the lungs of unconscious patients to keep them alive. Doormen, who rescued folks stuck in elevators. Refinery workers, who broke into boat yards, "stealing" boats to rescue their neighbors clinging to their roofs in flood waters. Mechanics, who helped hot-wire any car that could be found to ferry people out of the city. And the food service workers, who scoured the commercial kitchens, improvising communal meals for hundreds of those stranded.

Most of these workers had lost their homes, and had not heard from members of their families, yet they stayed and provided the only infrastructure for the 20% of New Orleans that was not under water.

On Day 2, there were approximately 500 of us left in the hotels in the
French Quarter. We were a mix of foreign tourists, conference attendees like ourselves, and locals who had checked into hotels for safety and shelter from Katrina. Some of us had cell phone contact with family and friends outside of New Orleans. We were repeatedly told that all sorts of resources including the National Guard and scores of buses were pouring in to the City. The buses and the other resources must have been invisible because none of us had seen them.

We decided we had to save ourselves. So we pooled ourmoney and came up with $25,000 to have ten buses come and take us out of the City. Those who did not have the requisite $45.00 for a ticket were subsidized by those who did have extra money. We waited for 48 hours for the buses, spending the last 12 hours standing outside, sharing the limited water, food, and clothes we had. We created a priority boarding area for the sick, elderly and new born babies. We waited late into the night for the "imminent" arrival of the buses. The buses never arrived. We later learned that the minute the arrived to the City limits, they were commandeered by the military.

By day 4 our hotels had run out of fuel and water. Sanitation was dangerously abysmal. As the desperation and despair increased, street
crime as well as water levels began to rise. The hotels turned us out and locked their doors, telling us that the "officials" told us to report to the convention center to wait for more buses. As we entered the center of the City, we finally encountered the National Guard. The Guards told us we would not be allowed into the Superdome as the City's primary shelter had descended into a humanitarian and health hellhole. The guards further told us that the City's only other shelter, the Convention Center, was also descending into chaos and squalor and that the police were not allowing anyone else in. Quite naturally, we asked, "If we can't go to the only 2 shelters in the City, what was our alternative?" The guards told us that that was our problem, and no they did not have extra water to give to us. This would be the start of our numerous encounters with callous and hostile "law enforcement".

We walked to the police command center at Harrah's on Canal Street and were told the same thing, that we were on our own, and no they did not have water to give us. We now numbered several hundred. We held a mass meeting to decide a course of action. We agreed to camp outside the police command post. We would be plainly visible to the media and would constitute a highly visible embarrassment to the City officials. The police told us that we could not stay. Regardless, we began to settle in and set up camp. In short order, the police commander came across the street to address our group. He told us he had a solution: we should walk to the Pontchartrain Expressway and cross the greater New Orleans Bridge where the police had buses lined up to take us out of the City.
The crowed cheered and began to move. We called everyone back and explained to the commander that there had been lots of misinformation and wrong information and was he sure that there were buses waiting for us. The commander turned to the crowd and stated emphatically, "I swear to you that the buses are there."

We organized ourselves and the 200 of us set off for the bridge with great excitement and hope. As we marched past the convention center, many locals saw our determined and optimistic group and asked where we were headed. We told them about the great news. Families immediately grabbed their few belongings and quickly our numbers doubled and then doubled again. Babies in strollers now joined us, people using crutches, elderly clasping walkers and others people in wheelchairs. We marched the 2-3 miles to the freeway and up the steep incline to the Bridge. It now began to pour down rain, but it did not dampen our enthusiasm.

As we approached the bridge, armed Gretna sheriffs formed a line across the foot of the bridge. Before we were close enough to speak, they began firing their weapons over our heads. This sent the crowd fleeing in various directions. As the crowd scattered and dissipated, a few of us inched forward and managed to engage some of the sheriffs in conversation. We told them of our conversation with the police commander and of the commander's assurances. The sheriffs informed us there were no buses waiting. The commander had lied to us to get us to move.

We questioned why we couldn't cross the bridge anyway, especially as there was little traffic on the 6-lane highway. They responded that the West Bank was not going to become New Orleans and there would be no Superdomes in their City. These were code words for if you are poor and black, you are not crossing the Mississippi River and you were not getting out of New Orleans.

Our small group retreated back down Highway 90 to seek shelter from the rain under an overpass. We debated our options and in the end decided to build an encampment in the middle of the Ponchartrain Expressway on the center divide, between the O'Keefe and Tchoupitoulas exits. We reasoned we would be visible to everyone, we would have some security being on an elevated freeway and we could wait and watch for the arrival of the yet to be seen buses.

All day long, we saw other families, individuals and groups make the same trip up the incline in an attempt to cross the bridge, only to be turned away. Some chased away with gunfire, others simply told no, others to be verbally berated and humiliated. Thousands of New Orleaners were prevented and prohibited from self-evacuating the City on foot. Meanwhile, the only two City shelters sank further into squalor and disrepair. The only way across the bridge was by vehicle. We saw workers stealing trucks, buses, moving vans, semi-trucks and any car that could be hotwired. All were packed with people trying to escape the misery New Orleans had become.

Our little encampment began to blossom. Someone stole a water delivery truck and brought it up to us. Let's hear it for looting! A mile or so down the freeway, an army truck lost a couple of pallets of C-rations on a tight turn. We ferried the food back to our camp in shopping carts. Now secure with the two necessities, food and water; cooperation, community, and creativity flowered. We organized a clean up and hung garbage bags from the rebar poles. We made beds from wood pallets and cardboard. We designated a storm drain as the bathroom and the kids built an elaborate enclosure for privacy out of plastic, broken umbrellas, and other scraps. We even organized a food recycling system where individuals could swap out parts of C-rations (applesauce for babies and candies for kids!).

This was a process we saw repeatedly in the aftermath of Katrina. When individuals had to fight to find food or water, it meant looking out for yourself only. You had to do whatever it took to find water for your kids or food for your parents. When these basic needs were met, people began to look out for each other, working together and constructing a community.

If the relief organizations had saturated the City with food and water in the first 2 or 3 days, the desperation, the frustration and the ugliness would not have set in.

Flush with the necessities, we offered food and water to passing families and individuals. Many decided to stay and join us. Our encampment grew to 80 or 90 people.

From a woman with a battery powered radio we learned that the media was talking about us. Up in full view on the freeway, every relief and news organizations saw us on their way into the city. Officials were being asked what they were going to do about all those families living up on the freeway? The officials responded they were going to take care of us.
Some of us got a sinking feeling. "Taking care of us" had an ominous tone to it.

Unfortunately, our sinking feeling (along with the sinking City) was correct. Just as dusk set in, a Gretna Sheriff showed up, jumped out of his patrol vehicle, aimed his gun at our faces, screaming, "Get off the fucking freeway". A helicopter arrived and used the wind from its blades to blow away our flimsy structures. As we retreated, the sheriff loaded up his truck with our food and water.

Once again, at gunpoint, we were forced off the freeway. All the law enforcement agencies appeared threatened when we congregated or congealed into groups of 20 or more. In every congregation of "victims" they saw "mob" or "riot". We felt safety in numbers. Our "we must stay together" was impossible because the agencies would force us into small atomized groups.

In the pandemonium of having our camp raided and destroyed, we scattered once again. Reduced to a small group of 8 people, in the dark, we sought refuge in an abandoned school bus, under the freeway on Cilo Street. We were hiding from possible criminal elements but equally and definitely, we were hiding from the police and sheriffs with their martial law, curfew and shoot-to-kill policies.

The next days, our group of 8 walked most of the day, made contact with New Orleans Fire Department and were eventually airlifted out by an urban search and rescue team. We were dropped off near the airport and managed to catch a ride with the National Guard. The two young guardsmen apologized for the limited response of the Louisiana guards. They explained that a large section of their unit was inIraq and that meant they were shorthanded and were unable to complete all the tasks they were assigned.

We arrived at the airport on the day a massive airlift had begun. The airport had become another Superdome. We 8 were caught in a press of humanity as flights were delayed for several hours while George Bush landed briefly at the airport for a photo op. After being evacuated on a coast guard cargo plane, we arrived in San Antonio, Texas.

There the humiliation and dehumanization of the official relief effort continued. We were placed on buses and driven to a large field where we were forced to sit for hours and hours. Some of the buses did not have air-conditioners. In the dark, hundreds if us were forced to share two filthy overflowing porta-potties. Those who managed to make it out with any possessions (often a few belongings in tattered plastic bags) we were subjected to two different dog-sniffing searches.

Most of us had not eaten all day because our C-rations had been confiscated at the airport because the rations set off the metal detectors. Yet, no food had been provided to the men, women, children, elderly, disabled as they sat for hours waiting to be "medically screened" to make sure we were not carrying any communicable diseases.

This official treatment was in sharp contrast to the warm, heart-felt reception given to us by the ordinary Texans. We saw one airline worker give her shoes to someone who was barefoot. Strangers on the street offered us money and toiletries with words of welcome. Throughout, the official relief effort was callous, inept, and racist. There was more suffering than need be. Lives were lost that did not need to be lost.

Even after all this time the sun never says to the earth, "you owe me". Look what happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky.

Eyewitness Report from New Orleans (Sept 6)
A.N.S.W.E.R. Delegation Describes Crisis, Injustice (...) “My best friend’s body was floating by in the water. One mother whose baby drowned tied her baby to a fence so she could bury him after she returned.” Because troops kept driving by him and others without helping them, he had to walk 30 miles north until he was picked up. The people of New Orleans did not have to die; their lives did not have to be destroyed. This conduct of the government is a crime of the highest magnitude. There is not a single adjective that is adequate.Negligence, incompetence, callous disregard while all are true, none are sufficient. Those who manage a system that always and everywhere puts the needs of business and private property ahead of the people, that always find money to fund wars that benefit the rich of this country rather than meeting people’s needs should be held responsible and accountable. The real problem however, is not with the managers of the system, but with the system itself. They call it the free market. It is the economic and social system of plutocracy, the system of modern capitalism, of, by, and for the rich that in words declares itself to be of, by and for the people. The reality, however, can now been seen in the streets of New Orleans.

'This is criminal': Malik Rahim reports from New Orleans
Malik Rahim, a veteran of the Black Panther Party in New Orleans, for decades an organizer of public housing tenants both there and in San Francisco and a recent Green Party candidate for New Orleans City Council, lives in the Algiers neighborhood, the only part of New Orleans that is not flooded. They have no power, but the water is still good and the phones work. Their neighborhood could be sheltering and feeding at least 40,000 refugees, he says, but they are allowed to help no one. What he describes is nothing less than deliberate genocide against Black and poor people. - Ed. New Orleans, Sept. 1, 2005 - It's criminal. From what you're hearing, the people trapped in New Orleans are nothing but looters. We're told we should be more "neighborly." But nobody talked about being neighborly until after the people who could afford to leave … left. If you ain't got no money in America, you're on your own. People were told to go to the Superdome, but they have no food, no water there. And before they could get in, people had to stand in line for 4-5 hours in the rain because everybody was being searched one by one at the entrance.I can understand the chaos that happened after the tsunami, because they had no warning, but here there was plenty of warning. In the three days before the hurricane hit, we knew it was coming and everyone could have been evacuated. We have Amtrak here that could have carried everybody out of town. There were enough school buses that could have evacuated 20,000 people easily, but they just let them be flooded. My son watched 40 buses go underwater - they just wouldn't move them, afraid they'd be stolen. CLIP

Katrina Environmental Issues 'Almost Unimaginable'

September 07, 2005

BATON ROUGE, La. — Hurricane Katrina left behind a landscape of oil spills, leaking gas lines, damaged sewage plants and tainted water, Louisiana's top environment official saidTuesday.

In the state's first major assessment of the environmental havoc in southern Louisiana, Department of Environmental Quality Secretary Mike McDaniel said large quantities of hazardous materials in damaged industrial plants, the danger of explosions and fires and water pollution were his main concerns eight days after the storm struck.

Preliminary figures indicate 140,000 to 160,000 homes were flooded and will not be recovered, he said. "Literally, they are unsalvageable," he said.

He said it would take "years" to restore water service to the entire city.

"It's almost unimaginable, the things we are going to have to deal with," he said.
Crews have found two major oil spills, one of 68,000 barrels at a Bass Enterprise storage depot in Venice and another of 10,000 barrels at a Murphy Oil facility in Chalmette, McDaniel said.

But huge amounts of oil also oozed from cars, trucks and boats caught in the flood.
"Everywhere we look there's a spill. It all adds up," he said. "There's almost a solid sheen over the area right now."

High-level radiation sources, including nuclear plants, have been secured, and authorities were trying to determine the status of rail cars in the area as well as searching out large caches of hazardous materials in industrial plants.

Although there is a disease risk from contaminated water in the streets of New Orleans, McDaniel said it was too early to call the stagnant liquid a "toxic soup." State and federal agencies had begun quality testing.

"I'm saying that's a little bit exaggerated," he said. "To say it's toxic, it sounds like instant death walking in it. Let's get some better data."

Independent experts have said the New Orleans flood water, may cause environmental damage as it flows from the city to Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River.
More than 500 Louisiana sewage plants were damaged or destroyed, including 25 major ones. There were about 170 sources of leaking hydrocarbons and natural gas, officials said.

Katrina damaged large areas of wildlife habitat but it was too soon to assess the long-term impact, McDaniel said.

"One thing about nature, it's resilient," he said. "Nature will recover."

Incompetence or Conspiracy? Genocide in New Orleans

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Citizens who volunteered to help in the New Orleans rescue were turned back by govt officials. Is this genocide -- the culling of 'useless eaters' who happen to be black and poor and probably Democrats? How else can this bizarre "policy" be explained?)

Citizen flotilla is turned back by the Louisiana Department Of Wildlife & Fisheries

My name is Jason Robideaux, I am an attorney from Lafayette Louisiana and have dealt with all of the various law enforcement agencies in Louisiana during the past 18 years. Although I have had a positive relationship with law enforcement personnel throughout the State for many years, I regretfully have a story to share that will shake your head in disbelief about the La. Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries.

A group of approximately 1,000 citizens pulling 500 boats left the Acadiana Mall in Lafayette this morning (Weds.) and headed to New Orleans with a police escort from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff´s Department. The "flotillia" of trucks pulling boats stretched over five miles. This citizen rescue group was organized by La. State Senator, Gautreaux from Vermilion Parish. The group was comprised of experienced boaters, licensed fishermen and hunters, people who have spent their entire adult life and teenage years on the waterways of Louisiana.

The State Police waved the flotillia of trucks/boats through the barricades in LaPlace and we sped into New Orleans via I-10 until past the airport and near the Clearview exit. At that time we were stopped by agents of the La. Dept. of Wildlife & Fisheries. A young DWF agent strolled through the boats and told approximately half of the citizens that their boats were "too large" because the water had "dropped during the night" and that they should turn around and go home.

We were pulling a large (24ft) shallow draft aluminum boat that can safely carry 12 passengers and had ramp access which would allow the elderly and infirm to have easier access to the boat. We politely informed the DWF agent that the local and national media had consistently reported that the water level had "risen" during the night which contradicted his statement to us that the water "was dropping" and no boat over 16ft. in length would be allowed to participate in rescue operations.

We then specifically asked the DWF agent that we (and other citizens in the flotillia) be allowed to go to the hospitals and help evacuate the sick and the doctors and nurses stranded there. We offered to bring these people back to Lafayette, in our own vehicles, in order to ensure that they received proper and prompt medical care.

The DWF agent did not want to hear this and ordered us home. We complied with the DWF agent´s orders, turned around and headed back to Lafayette along with half of the flotillia. However, two of my friends were pulling my other boat, a smaller 15ft alumaweld with a 25 hp. The DWF agents let them through to proceed to the rescue operation launch site.

My two friends were allowed to drive to the launch site where the La. Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries were launching their rescue operations (via boat). They reported to me that there were over 200 DWF agents just standing around and doing nothing. My friends were kept there for approximately 3 hours. During that time they observed a large number of DWF agents doing nothing. After three hours had passed they were told that they were not needed and should go home. They complied with the DWF´s orders and turned around and went home to Lafayette.

Watching CNN tonight, there was a telephone interview with a Nurse trapped in Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She said that there were over 1,000 people trapped inside of the hospital and that the doctors and nurses had zero medical supplies, no diesel to run the generators and that only three people had been rescued from the hospital since the Hurricane hit!

I can't come up with one logical reason why the DWF sent this large group of 500 boats/1000 men home when we surely could have rescued most, if not all, of the people trapped in Charity Hospital. Further, we had the means to immediately transport these people to hospitals in Southwest Louisiana.

On Tuesday afternoon, August 30, Jefferson Parish Sheriff Harry Lee asked for all citizens with boats to come to the aid of Jefferson Parish. A short time later Dwight Landreneau, the head of the La. Depart. of Wildlife and Fisheries, got on television and remarked that his agency had things under control and citizen help was not needed. Apparently, Sheriff Lee did not agree with that assessment and had one of his deputies provide the Lafayette flotillia with an escort into Jefferson Parish.

Sheriff Lee and Senator Gautreaux - 1000 of Louisiana's citizens responded to your pleas for help. We were prevented from helping by Dwight Landreneau´s agency, the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. When I learned that Charity Hospital has not been evacuated and that no one has been there to attempt a rescue, I became angry.

The "turf-marking" by some minor state agency should never take priority over the lives of citizens!

'They're not giving us what we need to survive'

Jamie Doward reports on the fury of New Orleans residents who say they were ignored and mistreated by the authorities

September 4, 2005

The Observer

Only now, a week after Hurricane Katrina roared across the Deep South, leaving a trail of devastation across America's psyche, is the true story of the Battle of New Orleans emerging.

As convoys of commandeered school buses and Greyhound coaches transported tens of thousands of refugees out of the submerged city yesterday, in a belated and much-criticised relief operation, each vehicle brought with it new tales of horror.

Those trapped inside the two main shelters, the Superdome and the Convention Centre, paint a picture of a city that was subsumed beneath waves of violence, rape and death and accuse the police and National Guard of standing by, ignoring their pleas for help.

The claims are rejected by the federal and state authorities, who instead suggest the looting and lawlessness which followed the extensive flooding of the city was the result of a series of isolated incidents perpetrated by a few.

But it is clear from talking to survivors that what happened in New Orleans last week was far more extensive, bloody and terrifying than the authorities have admitted so far.

'We had to wrap dead people in white sheets and throw them outside while the police stood by and did nothing,' said Correll Williams, a 19-year-old meat cutter from the Crowder Road district in the east of the city, who waded two miles through waist-high water to make it to the Convention Centre after hearing on the radio it was being turned into a refuge.

'The police were in boats watching us. They were just laughing at us. Five of them to a boat, not trying to help nobody. Helicopters were riding by just looking at us. They weren't helping. We were pulling people on bits of wood, and the National Guard would come driving by in their empty military trucks.'

Williams only left his apartment after the authorities took the decision to flood his district in an apparent attempt to sluice out some of the water that had submerged a neighbouring district. Like hundreds of others he had heard the news of the decision to flood his district on the radio. The authorities had given people in the district until 5pm on Tuesday to get out - after that they would open the floodgates.

'We thought we could live without electricity for a few weeks because we had food. But then they told us they were opening the floodgates,' said Arineatta Walker, who fled the area with her daughter and two grandchildren.

'So about two o'clock we went on to the streets and we asked the army, "Where can we go?". And they said, "Just take off because there's no one going to come back for you." They kicked my family out of there. If I knew how to hotwire a car I would have,' Walker said.

Once inside the Convention Centre, Walker confronted a new hell. 'People were being raped, there were cries and screams, there were gunshots, but the police did nothing,' Walker said.

'The police were afraid to do anything,' said Chantelle, a black 22- year-old. 'They wouldn't come in. They took two white guys out one night but left the rest of us in here.'

Williams said: 'The floor was a swamp, you couldn't live in there. The police kept telling us buses were coming but they didn't. People started getting aggravated and then one policeman got mad, he caught an attitude with somebody and they caught an attitude back and started banging on his car, and that's how it started. He called for back-up and the next thing I know the military are down there throwing stun grenades. Everybody started running, bumping into each other, hurting each other.'

As the repeated promises of buses failed to materialise, people in the shelters started stealing cars. 'How do you expect people to act right when they're starving to death?' asked Williams. 'There were bodies all over. We were just throwing them out the front. They (the authorities) are blaming it on the people, making it look like it was the people's fault, but it's really their fault because they're not giving us what we need to survive. So now people are going and getting guns in order to fight back, in order to survive cos they don't want to help us.'

Outside the Convention Centre, where an estimated 15,000 people were seeking refuge, bodies lay ignored. A woman in a wheelchair and an elderly man on a chaise longue could be seen festering in the heat. On Wednesday, eight 11-strong teams from the Louisiana State Police entered the centre, where they were repelled by angry gangs, some of whom were armed. Yesterday scores of police officers were said to have resigned from the force, complaining their jobs had become too dangerous.

Until Friday morning only two buses had arrived at the Convention Centre to transport those inside out of the city, according to several trapped inside. The revelation suggests that the police and National Guard's inability to handle the crisis stemmed from chronic paralysis at the highest levels of the relief operation.

Outside the Superdome, which was at one stage home to some 25,000 people, a member of the National Guard was shot in the leg by his own gun as he was rushed by a crowd angry at the wait for buses to take them to Houston.

The authorities' failure to respond to the situation has prompted outpourings of national revulsion and calls for high-level resignations.

There was confusion yesterday as to why thousands of people had made for the Convention Centre. Officials said it was never intended that the centre be used as a refuge.

Michael Brown, director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the much-criticised body charged with coordinating the relief effort, told US television networks they had not been aware of the crowds in the centre until Thursday.

'The federal government did not even know about the Convention Centre people until today,' New Orleans major Ray Nagin told CNN on Thursday evening.

The shock confession prompted calls for Brown to be fired. 'That was just a boneheaded statement,' said Mississippi Democratic Congressman Bennie Thompson. 'The President will have to change the leadership so that a response this bad will never, never happen again for the American people,' Thompson added.

On Friday evening 1,000 members of the National Guard and 60 police officers arrived outside the centre to restore order.

The chronic failure to resolve the situation in the Convention Centre - and to a lesser extent the Superdome, where the situation was apparently more calm - was described as a 'national disgrace' by the increasingly angry Nagin.

'You would think that on day five of the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States, and possibly the world, we would not still be waiting for troops and buses,' Nagin said on Thursday.

Subject: What's going on in New Orleans?
Date: 5 Sep 2005

I know the Bush administration is working hard to spin what's happening in New Orleans, so you may think the federal government has done its best under difficult circumstances to help the poor people left in the city. I want to get the word out on a different story that I've been gathering from the Internet about what's really happening. It would appear the true story is more sinister.

Ray Nagin, the mayor of New Orleans, on a radio program last Thursday talked about how no federal assistance had arrived yet.

Nagin: I've talked directly with the president. I've talked to the head of the homeland security. I've talked to everybody under the sun. I've been out there man. I flew these helicopters, been in the crowds talking to people crying don't know where their relatives are. I've done it all, man and I tell you man, Garland, I keep hearing that it's coming. This is coming. That is coming. And my answer to that today is "BS". Where is the beef? Cause there is no beef in this city. There's no beef anywhere in southeast Louisiana and these god damn ships that are coming - I don’t see them.

WalMart wasn't allowed to deliver water?

I hope that everyone also takes the time to watch this interview with Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard.

Here's the transcript:

Jefferson Parish President Broussard, let me start with you. You just heard the director of Homeland Security's explanation of what has happened this last week. What is your reaction?

MR. AARON BROUSSARD: We have been abandoned by our own country. Hurricane Katrina will go down in history as one of the worst storms ever to hit an American coast, but the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina will go down as one of the worst abandonments of Americans on American soil ever in U.S. history. I am personally asking our bipartisan congressional delegation here in Louisiana to immediately begin congressional hearings to find out just what happened here. Why did it happen? Who needs to be fired? And believe me, they need to be fired right away, because we still have weeks to go in this tragedy. We have months to go. We have years to go. And whoever is at the top of this totem pole, that totem pole needs to be chain-sawed off and we've got to start with some new leadership.

It's not just Katrina that caused all these deaths in New Orleans here. Bureaucracy has committed murder here in the greater New Orleans area, and bureaucracy has to stand trial before Congress now. It's so obvious. FEMA needs more congressional funding. It needs more presidential support. It needs to be a Cabinet-level director. It needs to be an independent agency that will be able to fulfill its mission to work in partnership with state and local governments around America. FEMA needs to be empowered to do the things it was created to do. It needs to come somewhere, like New Orleans, with all of its force immediately, without red tape, without bureaucracy, act immediately with common sense and leadership, and save lives. Forget about the property. We can rebuild the property. It's got to be able to come in and save lives.

We need strong leadership at the top of America right now in order to accomplish this and to-- reconstructing FEMA.

MR. RUSSERT: Mr. Broussard, let me ask--I want to ask--should...

MR. BROUSSARD: You know, just some quick examples...

MR. RUSSERT: Hold on. Hold on, sir. Shouldn't the mayor of New Orleans and the governor of New Orleans bear some responsibility? Couldn't they have been much more forceful, much more effective and much more organized in evacuating the area?

MR. BROUSSARD: Sir, they were told like me, every single day, "The cavalry's coming," on a federal level, "The cavalry's coming, the cavalry's coming, the cavalry's coming." I have just begun to hear the hoofs of the cavalry. The cavalry's still not here yet, but I've begun to hear the hoofs, and we're almost a week out.

Let me give you just three quick examples. He posts armed guards on our line and says, "No one is getting near these lines." Sheriff Harry Lee said that if America--American government would have responded like Wal-Mart has responded, we wouldn't be in this crisis.

But I want to thank Governor Blanco for all she's done and all her leadership. She sent in the National Guard. I just repaired a breach on my side of the 17th Street canal that the secretary didn't foresee, a 300-foot breach. I just completed it yesterday with convoys of National Guard and local parish workers and levee board people. It took us two and a half days working 24/7. I just closed it.

MR. RUSSERT: All right.

MR. BROUSSARD: I'm telling you most importantly I want to thank my public employees...

MR. RUSSERT: All right.

MR. BROUSSARD: ...that have worked 24/7. They're burned out, the doctors, the nurses. And I want to give you one last story and I'll shut up and let you tell me whatever you want to tell me. The guy who runs this building I'm in, emergency management, he's responsible for everything. His mother was trapped in St. Bernard nursing home and every day she called him and said, "Are you coming, son? Is somebody coming?" And he said, "Yeah, Mama, somebody's coming to get you. Somebody's coming to get you on Tuesday. Somebody's coming to get you on Wednesday. Somebody's coming to get you on Thursday. Somebody's coming to get you on Friday." And she drowned Friday night. She drowned Friday night.

MR. RUSSERT: Mr. President...

MR. BROUSSARD: Nobody's coming to get us. Nobody's coming to get us. The secretary has promised. Everybody's promised. They've had press conferences. I'm sick of the press conferences.  For God sakes, shut up and send us somebody.

The Red Cross hasn't been allowed to distribute food?

Aid from other countries turned away?

Is this really happening in the country that calls itself the world's only superpower? Many countries in Europe immediately offered help, but this was declined almost a week ago. Today, America has swallowed its pride and asked Europe for help so we are sending food and water (500,000 food packs are leaving the UK tonight).

The damning part of the interview with the President of Jefferson Parish is prehaps the point that Walmart sent a truck (and we presume it wasn't a pick-up but a large one) full of bottled water to the area, and it was turned back with the FEMA saying it wasn't needed. At least Walmart tried to help with the one thing that is vital to life, just like European countries did a week ago.

Alas, America, which does not have too much credibility in the rest of the world, has a lot less now.

Communications being jammed (by the Pentagon)?

"We can now report that the jamming of New Orleans' communications is emanating from a pirate radio station in the Caribbean," explains Madsen. "The noise is continuous and it is jamming frequencies, including emergency high frequency (HF) radios, in the New Orleans area. The radio frequency jammers were heard last night, stopped for a while, and are active again today.... However, we now have a new unconfirmed report that the culprit may be the Pentagon itself. The emitter is an IF (Intermediate Frequency) jammer that is operating south southwest of New Orleans on board a U.S. Navy ship, according to an anonymous source. The jamming is cross-spectrum and interfering with superheterodyne receiver components, including the emergency radios being used in New Orleans relief efforts.... A Vancouver, British Columbia Urban Search & Rescue Team deployed to New Orleans reported that their satellite phones were not working and they had to obtain other satellite phones to keep in touch with their headquarters and other emergency agencies in British Columbia."

Bush Administration lying about what's going on?

Army Kills New Orleans Contractors

I have watched Fox, CNN, and MSNBC more or less non-stop over the last three days. Normally, I watch the corporate news and check it against my regular news sources on the internet, but the internet is not working very well here (it is working OK this evening, although it was out for most of the day) and I can't get the cable company out here to fix the problem with my over-priced broadband connection until after the holiday. Earlier, upon hearing a sketchy report the New Orleans police shot eight people on the Danziger Bridge, across a canal connecting Lake Pontchartrain to the Mississippi River, I thought something was amiss with the story, even though Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco basically told police and National Guardsmen to kill "looters," in other words people who have violated the sanctity of private and corporate property in order to stay alive. Most of these people were "stealing" food and water. An anonymous post on the Infoshop News page sums up thus:

...the government needed to reinforce the supremacy of private property, and it did so with bullets. The government paid no attention to the people of New Orleans when all they were doing was dying, because the government could care less about a few thousand lower class black people. Once they started taking matters into their own hands and "looting" from private property, however, they became a major problem. Never mind that the vast majority of the "looters" were simply taking food and water to try and keep themselves alive. Never mind that most of the material that was looted had already been written off as lost by insurance companies, or would have spoiled in a few days time because of the power outage. These people presented a major threat to the status quo, because they infringed on the sacredness of private property. What kind of message would the government send to the rest of the country if it allowed the people of New Orleans to steal food to feed the hungry? Imagine what would happen if the tens of millions of people living below the poverty line across the country followed the example set by the people of New Orleans, and began to take what they need to survive, and cooperate to survive. If this sort of action went unpunished in New Orleans, the results could be catastrophic for American capitalism and highly revolutionary. And this is why the cops and the National Guard have been told to shoot and kill looters, and why they shot five people dead today: to defend the supremacy of private property at all costs.

But, as it turns out, the people shot to death on the Danziger Bridge were not "looters" but government employees, according to the Australian. "At least five people shot dead by police as they walked across a New Orleans bridge yesterday were contractors working for the US Defense department, according to a report by The Associated Press," the newspaper reports. "A spokesman for the Army Corps of Engineers said the victims were contractors on their way to repair a canal, the new agency said, quoting a defense Department spokesman." It didn't take long, however, for the story to be revised by the corporate media: "New Orleans Police shot and killed at least five people Sunday after gunmen opened fire on a group of contractors traveling across a bridge on their way to make repairs, authorities said," WOWT News in Omaha reports. "None of the contractors was injured, Mike Rogers, a disaster relief coordinator with the Army Corps of Engineers, told reporters in Baton Rouge." As of this writing, the corporate media has not made mention of this serious discrepancy. No doubt the first story will be relegated to the memory hole.

Incomprehensible things are happening in New Orleans. For instance, the Ministry of Homeland Security will not allow the American Red Cross and other non-government agencies and relief organizations to deliver food. "Right now access is controlled by the National Guard and local authorities. We have been at the table every single day [asking for access]. We cannot get into New Orleans against their orders," reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. In other words, the donation you made will not get to the people of New Orleans (and will end up in the bank account of the American Red Cross).

It appears the internet has slowed to a crawl again. If I want to post this, I better do it now.

Criminal Plot Underway in the New Orleans Swamp

It is mighty suspicious the New Orleans "refugees" (as the corporate media call the Americans removed from the disease-ridden swamp left in the wake of Hurricane Katrina) are being relocated far and wide. Most of them will probably never return and will end up in ghettoes in Baton Rouge, Houston, and elsewhere (it appears Baton Rouge is being groomed as an expansive slum, since the rebuilt New Orleans will be a casino and tourist destination with time-share condos and luxury housing). It should be noted that the usual suspects will "remove debris" and supposedly "restore electric power" and "repair roofs" (an absurd declaration, considering many if not most of the homes in the New Orleans swamp will be condemned). "The Navy has hired Houston-based Halliburton Co.," the Houston Chronicle reported on September 1, well before the current effort to "rescue" and "evacuate" those not killed outright during the storm and afterwards, as Bush was on vacation and FEMA twiddled its thumbs, allowing as many residents as possible to die before people who actually have a conscience and are not neoliberal sociopaths began to scream and demand Bush be impeached for criminal negligence. "Halliburton subsidiary KBR will also perform damage assessments at other naval installations in New Orleans as soon as it is safe to do so," that is to say after the "refugees" have been relocated in distant slums. "FEMA privatized hurricane disaster recovery planning for New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana. The firms that received the contract are big GOP contributors," writes Wayne Madsen. For some reason I am not surprised.

As for the hardy who have stayed behind, determined to rebuild their lives and city, expect the swamp of New Orleans to be declared a health hazard and the remaining residents (or poor and middle class residents with no stake in the new corporate Las Vegas on the Mississippi) to be removed by the National Guard and Army at gunpoint. "On the sixth day of disaster and despair, an urgent new problem erupted: disease. A suspected outbreak of dysentery compelled authorities in Biloxi, Miss., to hurriedly evacuate hundreds of people from a shelter. Medical experts have warned of epidemics sweeping through crowded, unsanitary shelters," reports Knight Ridder.

"By early Saturday morning, buses had evacuated most people from the frightening confines of the Superdome," notes al-Jazeera. "At the equally squalid convention centre, thousands of people began pushing and dragging their belongings up the street to more than a dozen air-conditioned buses, the mood more numb than jubilant." It is obvious the fiasco that was the Superdome -- in essence a prison where old people and babies died from neglect and gangbangers roamed free to terrorize, murder, and rape -- and the convention center are designated departure points for depopulating the ruined city. Abandoning people at these departure points -- sans water, food, or medical care -- was part of the psychological warfare plan: people are desperate to escape these two fetid and disease-ridden prisons and are thankful to be relocated, probably to never return. Most of them are unaware their homes will be bulldozed by Halliburton and the land sold for pennies on the dollar to corporate developers.

Since Bushzarro world is all about customizing reality for political reasons, chances are pretty good we will never know what happened in the wake of Katrina. A Vancouver, British Columbia Urban Search & Rescue Team deployed to New Orleans reported that their satellite phones were not working and they had to obtain other satellite phones to keep in touch with their headquarters and other emergency agencies in British Columbia." There are also rumors spreading on forums and blogs that troops are confiscating and destroying civilian cameras. Graphic photos are however surfacing on the Internet, once again trumping the corporate media, handmaiden to Bushian crimes and cover-ups. (Note: the images posted at the site linked here are not for those with weak constitutions.)

Hurricane Katrina as Class Warfare

Tucker Carlson made my skin crawl. Like many Americans, I am glued to the television, mesmerized by the unfolding horror in New Orleans. First, reporting "live" from Hell on Earth, Carlson, minus bowtie, and a bit sweaty around the edges, interviewed an old woman, even cleared a downed tree branch from beside her house as MSNBC video cameras rolled. It's disgusting to watch these corporate news personalities (Anderson Cooper on CNN was almost as bad, wandering around the carnage in Mississippi with his personal video camera, dispensing with mawkish observations). Later Carlson, heir to the Swanson frozen-food fortune, went toe-to-toe with a contentious Rev. Al Sharpton. Although I have big problems with Sharpton, he stared down the camera and told it like it is: no way the people or the government of New Orleans had the resources (more than 30% of the people live below the poverty level) and Bush reacted too slowly because the lives of poor people (especially African-American poor people) are not all that important. Carlson attempted to give Sharpton hell but the preacher-cum-politician wasn't about to back down. He was in his element, if in a non-threatening television studio a world away from the contretemps of New Orleans.

Bill O'Reilly simply wanted the police and National Guard to shoot down "looters," that is to say those attempting to survive by taking food and drink from stores, thus sending the ruling corporate elite's message: "law and order" (i.e., protecting corporate property and banks) is more important than human life, especially expendable African-American human life, for what the robber baron Jay Gould said a hundred years ago still applies today: "I can hire one half of the working class to kill the other half." As if to comply, Kathleen Blanco, the Democrat governor of Louisiana, dispensed with a bit of threatening machismo: "These troops are battle-tested. They have M16s and are locked and loaded. These troops know how to shoot and kill and I expect they will." In fact, with an intolerant right-wing grumbling in the background, Ms. Blanco expects soldiers to kill poor people as they loot stores devastated by the storm (stores that are insurance write-offs) because it is of paramount importance to send a message to the lower and dispensable classes, even those starving and suffering from dehydration.

But it was the neocon columnist Jonah Goldberg who really dropped the mask and revealed the attitude of the ruling elite toward the poor and suffering. "I think it's time to face facts," a malicious Goldberg writes for the neocon house organ, the National Review. "That place is going to be a Mad Max/thunderdome Waterworld/Lord of the Flies horror show within the next few hours. My advice is to prepare yourself now. Hoard weapons, grow gills and learn to communicate with serpents. While you're working on that, find the biggest guy you can and when he's not expecting it beat him senseless. Gather young fighters around you and tell the womenfolk you will feed and protect any female who agrees to participate without question in your plans to repopulate the earth with a race of gilled-supermen. It's never too soon to be prepared." Of course, this should not be surprising coming from a person who believes not all cultures or people are of "comparable worth," thus concluding the "natural aristocracy" (composed primarily of his Straussian buddies) are entitled to rule over the "losers" and "serpents."

Katrina will dominate the focus of corporate media for some time to come. In due time, however, after a few starving looters are shot to send a message and "order" is restored (and poverty slips from the radar screen), the focus will return to Natalee Holloway, Scott Peterson, Michael Jackson, and other such drivel.

As we watch the horror of Katrina, we should recall that preeminent neoliberal, Henry Kissinger, who proposed population control for all the "useless eaters" of the sort wandering the flooded streets of New Orleans. Kissinger, as far back as 1974, discussed with leaders of the Club of Rome on how best to reduce population (in other words, genocide). "We are letting people breed like flies without allowing for natural causes to keep population down," commented Thomas Ferguson, the Latin American case officer for the State Department's Office of Population Affairs. "We raised the birth survival rates, extended life-spans by lowering death rates, and did nothing about lowering birth rates." In the brave New World Order envisioned by Kissinger and Ferguson, there "will be dislocation and food shortages," and maybe even natural disaster as a template.

Is it possible this is what we are witnessing in New Orleans and the Gulf states now?

New Orleans: Drowning Government in the Bathtub

Isn't interesting

China can move 600,000 people out of the way of Typhoon Talim and yet the United States was unable to move around 100,000 people out of New Orleans in the days before Katrina hit. Is it possible a communist dictatorship -- well, actually a globalist socialist dictatorship -- is more effective at protecting its people than the "democratic" government of the United States? It runs against all the brainwashing the U.S. "education" system attempted to pump into my brain since I entered kindergarten in the late 50s.

Hurricane Katrina is a huge and unavoidable demonstration of the political reality the government and the corporate media strive every moment to conceal or divert attention away from -- the United States government exists to service the elitist plutocracy and its corporations and banking-financial institutions. It does not exist to protect citizens who pay outrageous taxes for which they receive nothing in return. It was known the levees in New Orleans were insufficient and sooner or later a hurricane would decimate the city and yet the federal government did nothing about it because it has other priorities -- servicing a small number of rich people and multinational corporations. Recall Grover Norquist declaring it was the intention of the fanatical right now firmly in control to reduce government "down to the size where we can drown it in the bathtub." Norquist's comment is prophetic, considering what happened on the Gulf coast and the response of the government. Drown, indeed.

It remains to be seen if the American people will wake up to the fact the government does not exist to protect them but instead is a parasite that steals their hard-earned money at gunpoint and uses it to cater to the whims of the plutocracy and their globalist agenda to reduce large swaths of the world into a miserable and (as in the case of New Orleans) Darwinian gulag where the poorest or poor are allowed to starve and fend for themselves after natural disasters.

Bush's typical lackadaisical response to the disaster reveals his true state of mind -- the poor and disenfranchised, who he long ago as a student at the Harvard Business School characterized as lazy and shiftless, more or less get what they deserve. Katrina is a public relations issue for Bush, not a humanitarian crisis. He was similarly unmoved by the Asian tsunami and as a privileged son of the plutocracy (and as a sociopath) feels absolutely nothing for people (or poor and middle class people) in need because his "base," as revealed in a video snippet in Michael Moore's documentary, is the rich and powerful, not the people, even the dupes who voted for him. It will be nothing short of astounding if these people continue to support Bush in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. However, considering the severity and depth of brainwashing in the United States, it would not be surprising if the "little people" continue to fawn over Bush, even as they soon begin to pay four or five dollars a gallon for gas.

New Orleans: Bush's Zero Tolerance for Misery

It's like watching one of those special effects loaded Hollywood disaster movies: destroyed buildings and desperate people flagging down helicopters from rooftops, surrounded by polluted and debris choked water. It is of course illogical to place blame for natural disasters on the government -- but we can certainly squarely place the blame for the wholly ineffective response on the government, particularly the federal government and the Bush administration. "Chalk up the city of New Orleans as a cost of Bush's Iraq war," writes Paul Craig Roberts. "There were not enough helicopters to repair the breached levees and rescue people trapped by rising water. Nor are there enough Louisiana National Guardsmen available to help with rescue efforts and to patrol against looting."

But it is not simply the fact the neocons hijacked the National Guard and sent them packing to Iraq. In 1995, the Army Corps of Engineers began a project to shore up the New Orleans levees. But in 2003, Bush grabbed the money from that project to pay for his invasion and occupation. As Lorelei Kelly writes for Democracy Arsenall, after Bush invaded Iraq "the flow of federal dollars toward SELA [Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project] dropped to a trickle" and "the Corps never tried to hide the fact that the spending pressures of the war in Iraq, as well as homeland security -- coming at the same time as federal tax cuts -- was the reason for the strain." In short, the "war" in Iraq, as top Bushites admit was started for the sake of Israel's "security" (and for the Straussian neocon desire to slice and dice the Muslim Middle East), has come home to roost and the poor people of the Gulf coast are paying the price with their lives and property. "Distracted by its phony war on terrorism, the U.S. government had made no preparations in the event Hurricane Katrina brought catastrophe to New Orleans. No contingency plan existed. Only now after the disaster are FEMA and the Corps of Engineers trying to assemble the material and equipment to save New Orleans from the fate of Atlantis," adds Roberts.

Instead of massive aid, Bush doled out a few condescending remarks. "Nothing in his words, facial expression, or body language indicated that Bush either comprehended or was even concerned about the monumental catastrophe that has struck hundreds of thousands of people in one of the United States' greatest and most historic cities," comments the WSWS Editorial Board. "For the Bush administration, the tragedy of New Orleans is not particularly important and requires no major effort on the part of the United States.... [The] language ... chosen by Bush's handlers ... convey a definite message: the administration will not allow the disaster to entangle the federal government in significant financial commitments." Instead of helping citizens ravaged by natural disaster, Bush will spend billions on the "war" in Iraq (and soon elsewhere) and continue his tax breaks for rich people and corporations. Bush expects the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, and "all other members of the armies of compassion" to help the poor people of New Orleans and the stricken Gulf coast.

As for the efforts of these poor people to secure water and food (in lieu of sufficient help from Bush and the feds), many of them have taken to looting. "I think there ought to be zero tolerance of people breaking the law during an emergency such as this, whether it be looting, or price-gouging at the gasoline pump or taking advantage of charitable giving, or insurance fraud," Bush said in an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America," reports Reuters. In other words, Bush is encouraging people be shot for stealing food and water, as well as televisions and Nikes (and the latter is nothing more than poor people grabbing useless consumer junk the corporate media incessantly tells them they need or else they are somehow less than human). "If people need water and food, we're going to do everything we can to get them water and food. But it's very important for the citizens in all affected areas to take personal responsibility and assume kind of a civic sense of responsibility so the situation doesn't get out of hand, so people don't exploit the vulnerable," Bush added. Of course, if not for Bush's stealing money from the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project, thus undermining the levees, people would not be trapped on rooftops or in attics, slowly dying of thirst and starvation.

Hopefully Americans will get the message with this latest fiasco: Bush and crew don't care about average Americans (unless they are rich Americans) and the people stranded in New Orleans will have to seek "charity" from churches (since compassion is faith-based) or simply die from dehydration, disease, and neglect. If they steal a bag of Doritos, they will risk "zero tolerance," that is to say risk summary execution (since New Orleans is currently under martial law). Americans need to realize Bush and crew are a den of mass murdering vipers and allowing them to control government and roam free (not arrested and sent to The Hague to face prosecution for crimes against humanity) will ultimately result in the destruction of this country.

September 06, 2005

President Bush this morning promised to lead an investigation of himself, because it is important.

Bush hopes to find out why Bush flew quickly to San Diego in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and why, while there, Bush attempted to play the guitar.

Bush also hopes to find out why Bush cut funds to levee rehabilitation in Louisiana.

Further Bush hopes to discover the reason Bush appointed a horse association boss to run FEMA and why Bush cut funds to the organization as well.

Bush will investigate the reasons for Bush s high praise of the Dept. of Homeland Security s and Fema s response to the catastrophe on the Gulf Coast while thousands were left to fend for themselves for days on end.

Bush wants to know what Bush was doing at a retirment community on August 29 and just why Bush was holding a birthday cake for John McCaine that day, as well.

Bush wants to figure out just why Bush never realized a Category 4 storm could flood New Oreleans when everyone else in the country knew.

Bush will look into the reasons Bush has refused to take seriously the loss of marsh lands along the Louisiana Coast and why Bush thinks global warming is a sham.

Bush also wants to know how all those national guardsmen and women got to Iraq and what they are up to there.

Bush wants to know why Bush supports Judge Michael Chernoff and exactly why Bush appointed him head of Homeland Security to begin with.

Bush also will investiage why Bush never knew there were poor people around anyway.

Bush also intends to find out once and for all just what Bush is always smiling about.

Finally, Bush plans to discover just why the front porch of Sen. Trent Lott s home was allowed to be destroyed.

In other words the Bush committee will get to the bottom of Bush's bottom.

Blame Game, Race Card
Molly Ivins argues that George W. Bush has come up with his worst idea since he decided to have the military investigate torture by the military at Abu Ghraib prison. He, George W. personally, plans to investigate to "find out what went right and what went wrong" in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

We need a Katrina Commission. Tell the media.
The federal response to Hurricane Katrina is a national scandal that requires an independent investigation like the 9/11 Commission, but Republican leaders are trying to set up an investigation they control. Make sure the media hears the public outcry for an independent investigation by writing a letter to the editor calling for a Katrina Commission modeled after the 9/11 Commission.
Dear MoveOn member, Ten days after Hurricane Katrina, the city of New Orleans is still mostly underwater and hundreds of thousands of people are homeless, yet NBC Nightly News reported last night that FEMA's portable housing remains hundreds of miles away unused. It is now obvious that the federal response to Hurricane Katrina is a national scandal that requires a proper investigation. But Republicans in Congress have proposed an investigation that would be run by them. Democrats are insisting on an independent commission with its own independent investigators and subpoena authority—modeled after the 9/11 Commission. So far the media isn't exposing that the Republican leadership is trying to cover over the Bush administration's failure to keep us safe. We need to make sure the media get on the case. One easy way to do that is on the Letters to the Editor page of newspapers. We've set up an online tool that makes submitting a letter easy. You write your letter, choose where you want it to go, and click to send. Will you write a letter to the editor? Click to get started.

Paul Krugman: "Raw Political Power Will Block Investigation"
(...) In Iraq, the administration displayed a combination of paralysis and denial after the fall of Baghdad, as uncontrolled looting destroyed much of Iraq's infrastructure.     The same deer-in-the-headlights immobility prevailed as Katrina approached and struck the Gulf Coast. The storm gave plenty of warning. By the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 29, the flooding of New Orleans was well under way - city officials publicly confirmed a breach in the 17th Street Canal at 2 p.m. Yet on Tuesday federal officials were still playing down the problem, and large-scale federal aid didn't arrive until last Friday. (...) All that's missing from the Katrina story is an expensive reconstruction effort, with lucrative deals for politically connected companies, that fails to deliver essential services. But give it time - they're working on that, too. (...) The effort to shift blame to state and local officials is under way. Smear campaigns against critics will start soon, if they haven't already. And raw political power will be used to block any independent investigation. Will this be enough to let the administration get away with another failure? Let's hope not: if the administration isn't held accountable for what just happened, it will keep repeating its mistakes. Michael Brown and Michael Chertoff will receive presidential medals, and the next disaster will be even worse.

Dear Ones,

Mr. Bush has declared he is heading an investigation into what went wrong in the government's response to the disaster in the South. Let's give him a clue. I invite you to go on the internet or select a catalog from which to get a picture of a mirror. Artfully paste this on a postcard, add some helpful advice and send the postcard to:

Resident Bush
1600 Pensylvannia Ave NW
Washington, DC 20500-0001

I think it will be fun for postal workers processing these postcards to see how creative citizens can be. You may want to make copies of your postcard to share with your friends, your local newpapers and other media, and to post in public places.

Please share this widely. I clearly see millions of postcards being sent over the next few weeks.

Much Love,

Elaine Larson

The Positive Outcomes of Hurricane Katrina

(1) Katrina has increased the momentum towards impeachment. Evidence of Bush & Co complicity in 911 and the illegal Iraq invasion can now come out without being sidetracked by a "Wag the Dog" style war in Iran.

(2) Katrina has meant the imminent invasion of Iran, now has to be shelved by Bush & Co. The money that needs to be spend on Katrina can't be spent on an invasion of Iran without far reaching political consequences.

(3) Katrina has initiated the opening of many millions of hearts around the world. Igniting a sense of brotherhood/sisterhood, compassion and caring towards all those involved in the tragedy.

(4) Katrina has left no doubt about the hegemonic priorities and non-compassionate motivations of Bush & Co which are now becoming clearer to the mainstream public who up until now have been not wanting to take notice of the self-serving motivations of their administration. It has become painfully clear that Bush & Co are not a government "for the people." The sleepers are starting to wake up to the fact that something's not quite right with their Government's modus operandi, and this will set the stage for major change that will be demanded by "We the People."

(5) Katrina provided the opportunity for certain souls to complete their third density karma and as a consequence they are now in peace, having been released from their 3D prison of poverty and the vicious cycles of survival of the fittest existence.

I shall tell you frankly, that prior to the advent of this hurricane, momentum in the energy field of potential had reached the point where preventing an invasion of Iran was nearly impossible. Now this cannot go forward as intended, not with the nation's expectation of adequate assistance to the many thousands who are homeless and in great need. It is not due to any greater respect for life among the prominent members of Bush's administration, but straightforward logistics and funding that must shelve for the time being their invasion plans. Fomenting the turbulence that of course would result from their use of weather control, yet planning to launch an invasion a short time after wreaking such vast destruction at home shows their desperation-type thinking. With still more intense light generation above, on and within Earth, the delay can be sufficient so that the implicating evidence will become public. Even with disbelievers — and the resonance of the shock will be considerable! — the faltering support for troops occupying Iraq, let alone expanding the warfront, will weaken further and then die. During the remaining four months of the year you will see not only further crumbling of military resolve, but documented evidence of the lies and corruption within the Bush circle and previous administrations. That will be the hole in the dike, so to speak, and such a mammoth hole that there can be no stopping the exposure of all the other deceitfulness that has controlled life on Earth for millennia. Smaller sums are trickling in for light-service projects, and while major economic changes are lagging, the dark ones cannot hold onto their ill-gotten fortunes much longer. (Matthew through Suzanne Ward) -

Look at how the world is uniting behind this tragedy. Look how you humans are stepping up and giving your money and services to aid these dear souls. There are countries who you would think would never offer a hand of support to the United States of America and its people. But yet look around you. Look at how people from all walks of life are stepping up strongly and being heard loud and clear.

The original intention of this hurricane was not to be this level of tragedy but it got away from those who had a hand in manipulating this storm. But this has brought about something totally different from what the effect was intended to be. This has caused humanity to unite together for a common cause and the out pouring of love and compassion has reached a level of unconditional energy that has not been known in your time before. The Earth is soaking up this energy and healing. People are reaching out to help people and race or religion has no bearing on this. Sure there are the small insignificant little pockets of racism but nothing to even consider. Humanity has shown through this, great growth in the heart and this is huge and important!

This tragedy has also exposed many things about your current government and it's capabilities to handle human tragedy. A great deal of truth is coming about and many things are coming to light because of this tragedy. More is yet to come too light that will mobilize the America People even more to make great change. People are waking up all over your country to see that something is really wrong with this picture. There will be the movement for change that will grow out of this and those who were blind will now begin to see. This situation also affects the plans to invade Iran. The people in America will not stand for it. They will not allow this government to invade another country when their own country is in great need and in a great time of healing. It will not be allowed!

This would also cause other nations to turn a deaf ear to America and her policies even more than ever. They could not understand how can a country invade a country and send and spend all those resources in another part of the world when their own home is in shambles. This would look very bad for America. So all the changes that are coming from what has occurred will be good and necessary for great change. It is now time where the people will begin to look closer at what is going on around them in their home and the power will make a very definite and dramatic shift back to the people. We are very impressed at how you are truly coming together to help and serve. The energy of the heart has definitely increased on earth more powerful than ever before. The energy has shifted to a very high frequency. It is unfortunate but this is how people seem to get it and make change, through tragedy. The time must come now to where you can get it and make change without tragedy being the motivating factor. You are moving to that and the racism will stop and the dividing because of the color of your skin will stop and because of your beliefs will stop. People will become a human family in the truest since. There is so much yet to come out of this and it is you who will make this so! The time has finally arrived in your hearts and mind because your survival depends on this and how you will live your lives. You will want a government that is truly for the people in every sense of the meaning of that. You will want those who care about the dictates of the people on this planet as a whole. You are in the throes of magnificent change and so keep course and remain steady. (Mushaba)

To start, I'll answer those who are asking if global warming was responsible for this titanic storm. Global warming isn't an actuality, but global cleansing is, and that is what originated Katrina. Yes, increasingly obvious aberrant weather occurrences, even entire climate changes, are besetting the planet; however, they are not heading Earth into oblivion but rather paving the way to her Golden Era. All of these unusual occurrences are either releasing kinetic energy — the amassed negativity due to humankind's brutality to each other, the animals and the planet body — or clearing specific areas where trauma took place, and all of the extremes shortly will swing back toward moderation of temperatures, breezes, and nourishing rainfall.

(Matthew through Suzanne Ward)

A vital aspect of the planetary cleansing that started several decades past and is enabling Earth's ascension is the opportunity for souls to complete their third density karma so they can accompany Earth into the higher vibrations where darkness cannot exist. From my current station outside your galaxy, I cannot easily monitor all the details of Katrina's aftermath so I can't tell you the number of souls whose karma was completed prior to transition, but I know from colleagues in Nirvana that many of the souls‚ contracts had not been fulfilled. If the families and friends of those whose physical lives were lost could know that through divine grace, all who died have been given full credit for karmic completion and thus may reincarnate in a higher density, it could be some measure of comfort for those who understand how significant this spiritual evolutionary step is.

(Matthew through Suzanne Ward) -

There is clearly more to be said about the result of Hurricane Katrina, and like the events that have preceded it people are becoming more questioning. The suspicion that your Government and military are involved in directing events for maximum effect is becoming stronger. Natural events bring natural responses, yet as with 9/11 you quickly see evidence of deliberate interference. In this case you see a lack of urgency allowing a situation to almost get out of hand. Considering the degree of forewarning, you could be excused for thinking that your emergency services would have been primed and ready to go into action.

(St Germain through Mike Quinsey) -

There is an avalanche of opinion that is about to engulf the last cabal, and they will not know which way to turn.

(St Germain through Mike Quinsey) -

It may seem strange to you that in all that is happening we find so much to be encouraged by, but you are responding magnificently and great compassion and help is going out to the victims of Katrina. Like 9/11 it has placed a challenge on your doorstep and you have risen to the occasion. You are acknowledging the Oneness of all life, and in the wake of the hurricane you see your brothers and sisters, and not color, religion or politics. The sanctity of life is such, that no caring person would dream of passing on the other side of the road to avoid what is the unavoidable. The divisions and devious actions that have previously driven you apart are being healed, and a great energy of Love is growing exponentially upon Earth. It matters no more that people are on the other side of the Earth. They see what is happening through their satellite television and although far removed from the scene, their compassion sends out loving thoughts that brings response from those able to directly help. Caring and compassion are aspects of Love that will yet see New Orleans rise like a phoenix out of the sea of misery and despair.

Dear Ones, look upon what is happening as bringing people together in a single purpose, to see changes that will once and for all put an end to the oppression under the dark cabal. They wish for you to become despondent and trapped in the mire of chaotic events of their making. They hope you will lose your willpower to overcome the reality they have created, and succumb to their control. I tell you that they have vastly underestimated your determination and intention to rise above what is being thrown at you. The dark have created a monster that will turn upon them, and devour the very ones who sought protection behind it. Never fear that justice will have its day, the Children of the Light are not easily deflected from their path.

In the gloom, I see a wonderful Light that is growing by the second and helping so many overcome their feelings of hopelessness. It is giving a lift to those who are the most needy, and strength to those who are in the front line of aid to all victims whatever the circumstances. I feel a new determination to bring the changes into being that will finally manifest the new beginning. You will succeed, and events are bringing everything to head. Something has to give very shortly, and it will be the people who will be victorious. Oh what a release of Love, that will immediately lift you all including Mother Earth. You have set your path out and its promise will carry you forward in glory and triumph, the battle will have been won.

(St Germain through Mike Quinsey) -

New Orleans is a memorial to Man's inhumanity to Man, and is the focus of all that has been ignored and set aside in a country that has forgotten its greatness. Perhaps one day the memorial may read that it is in memory of those who through their sacrifice brought about the awakening of Humanity.

(St Germain through Mike Quinsey) -

Katrina has touched a nerve in many people who have had their faith in their leaders severely dented. It was always considered that the natural disasters were prepared for, and yet events show otherwise. What has happened has highlighted attitudes from your leaders that are not acceptable in what is called a modern society. In response you have boldly taken the lead in providing for the victims of Katrina, even so the task is so enormous that it requires world-wide help. The compassionate side of humanity shines out, and it is not just from the U.S. alone. As yet one more tragedy that has followed on so quickly after the others, it has galvanized many people together who take the lead in supplying help.

Without a doubt the turning point has been reached, and people are desiring a different type of leadership that truly reflects the recognition of the Oneness of Humanity. Even the most hardened people have a soft spot that can turn them into compassionate beings. It is that heart felt love of another who is in need and the desire to help them. It is brotherly love that surfaces in times like you are experiencing now. From my perspective it is a marvelous sight to see the Light growing so quickly. In short time so much has changed and it will never go back to what it was previously.

There is a powerful movement growing that carries such a force of light, nothing can stand in its way least it becomes absorbed. It is far reaching into the halls of power and will see the end of structures that no longer truly serve your purpose. Changes are already being called for and you shall see a sudden collapse of the last cabal. The power of the people has engulfed the dark and is breaking it down, allowing for the emergence and entry of those who are of the Light. So far you have achieved this without our intervention, but we will nevertheless be at your shoulder to ensure your continued success. There were times when we were concerned as matters were delicately balanced, but you have suddenly surged ahead and are now an unstoppable force.

Dear Ones, it is often in the times of great tragedy that the greatest deeds of love are carried out, but Katrina has done much more by awakening so many of you to your responsibilities to each other. Until recently your history shows that Man has been very insular and had little concern for his neighbors. However, with the increasing energies upon Earth and the rise in consciousness, the barriers that have existed between you all have been broken down. Regardless of your different cultures, there is the realization that at heart you are all very much alike and have similar aspirations, but above all desire a peaceful and affluent life.

The energies for change are gathering more power, and they are nearer to manifesting than ever before. Gradually the proposed changes are becoming more acceptable to people that previously were hesitant or fearful. The material Age is beginning to fade away, and give way to one of equality and a fair distribution of wealth. Freedom and sovereignty will return at a time when they will not be abused, and allow the free expression of creative abilities that are waiting to embrace a New Age.

I am St. Germain and I watch with great interest as you seize the opportunity to determine your own future. How you are launching yourselves wholeheartedly into new schemes and ideas. I see you beginning to take over the reins of leadership in a peaceful revolution. The Heavens are rejoicing at your emergence knowing that this was always possible. You have excelled at quietly moving into the forefront and making yourselves heard. It is a movement that has gained its own momentum and has great things in store. We are ready to back you all of the way, and shall accompany for the last lap of the ride. This year will go down as one of great change, and you will soon see the fruits of your efforts. I am protecting you all under a great umbrella of Love and so shall it remain.

Floor Statement of Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich about Hurricane Katrina

The Supplemental for Hurricane Katrina WASHINGTON - September 2 - Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH) gave the following speech today on the House floor during a special session to provide relief money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina:

“This amount of money is only a fraction of what is needed and everyone here knows it. Let it go forward quickly with heart-felt thanks to those who are helping to save lives with necessary food, water, shelter, medical care and security. Congress must also demand accountability with the appropriations. Because until there are basic changes in the direction of this government, this tragedy will multiply to apocalyptic proportions.

“The Administration yesterday said that no one anticipated the breach of the levees. Did the Administration not see or care about the 2001 FEMA warning about the risk of a devastating hurricane hitting the people of New Orleans? Did it not know or care that civil and army engineers were warning for years about the consequences of failure to strengthen the flood control system? Was it aware or did it care that the very same Administration which decries the plight of the people today, cut from the budget tens of millions needed for Gulf-area flood control projects?

“Countless lives have been lost throughout the South with a cost of hundreds of billions in ruined homes, businesses, and the destruction of an entire physical and social infrastructure.

“The President said an hour ago that the Gulf Coast looks like it has been obliterated by a weapon. It has. Indifference is a weapon of mass destruction.

“Our indifferent government is in a crisis of legitimacy. If it continues to ignore its basic responsibility for the health and welfare of the American people, will there ever be enough money to clean up after their indifference?

“As our government continues to squander human and monetary resources of this country on the war, people are beginning to ask, “Isn’t it time we began to take care of our own people here at home? Isn’t it time we rescued our own citizens? Isn’t it time we fed our own people? Isn’t it time we sheltered our own people? Isn’t it time we provided physical and economic security for our own people?” And isn’t it time we stopped the oil companies from profiting from this tragedy?

“We have plenty of work to do here at home. It is time for America to come home and take care of its own people who are drowning in the streets, suffocating in attics, dying from exposure to the elements, oppressed by poverty and illness, wracked with despair and hunger and thirst.

“The time is NOW to bring back to the United States the 78,000 National Guard troops currently deployed overseas into the Gulf Coast region.

“The time is NOW to bring back to the US the equipment which will be needed for search and rescue, for clean up and reclamation.

“The time is NOW for federal resources, including closed Army bases, to be used for temporary shelter for those who have been displaced by the hurricane.

“The time is NOW to plan massive public works, with jobs going to the people of the Gulf Coast states, to build new levees, new roads, bridges, libraries, schools, colleges and universities and to rebuild all public institutions, including hospitals. Medicare ought to be extended to everyone, so every person can get the physical and mental health care they might need as a result of the disaster.

“The time is NOW for the federal government to take seriously the research of scientists who have warned for years about the dangers of changes in the global climate, and to prepare other regions of the country for other possible weather disasters until we change our disastrous energy policies.

“The time is NOW for changes in our energy policy, to end the domination of oil and fossil fuel and to invest heavily in alternative energy, including wind and solar, geothermal and biofuels.

“As bad as this catastrophe will prove to be, it is in fact only a warning. Our government must change its direction, it must become involved in making America a better place to live, a place where all may survive and thrive. It must get off the path of war and seek the path of peace, peace with the natural environment, peace with other nations, peace with a just economic system.”

A special request from Pan member, Sharon Shane. She is inviting Pan members to join her in a special vigil this Sunday, see below for further details.

Love and light,

From: Sharon Shane>

This is a Clarion Call to unite in single purpose to convene on Sunday, September 11, 2005, at 2:00 PM Eastern time U.S. in the Liquid Light Center Internet Chat room for a Healing Vigil.

Those who are aware of the scientific proof by Dr. Emoto, that consciousness does indeed affect the water, know that this is the truth that the reflection of the waters are that of the emotional body of humanity. The Greater Ocean of Being in the earth sphere is in the process of bringing forth these areas in need of healing. The watery emotions of toxicity of anger, pain, fury, rage and hopelessness have spilled into the waters of the conscious Light of Day from the Hurricane crisis for all to witness these festering wounds of humanity.

During this event, the focus of intent will be called forth from the Heart of Hearts towards releasing any "personal level attachment" to the constricting energies of anger, pain, blame, judgment and hopelessness into that of the clarity that is the purity of Divine Love, Grace, Faith, Forgiveness, Trust, Harmony, Peace and Joy. The purification begins in the personal sphere and extends to the greater spheres of being.

All ego attachment to outcomes is asked to be left in the past paradigm when stepping into this powerful point of focus and intent with only the purity of Heart to send vibrations of compassion and healing energies to the waters of New Orleans, the surrounding landmass areas, those in need of comfort and those in leadership in need of wisdom.

The Higher Purpose of the vigil is to align with the Cosmic Divine Will of Mastery in unified intent, and it is of the utmost importance to understand that our only task is in holding the resonance for those in need of healing. It is not our purpose to transmute the emotions of those in the midst of this crisis for them, but to simply hold our resonance at the level of higher resonant emotions of Compassion, Joy, Peace, and Unconditional Divine Love. It is the Soul's path of those involved in the crisis to follow through on their healing process, and our task during this vigil is to simply hold the resonance of healing energies for them to step into when they so choose.

It is never the intent of the Cosmic Divine Will to interfere on any Soul's path of free will, and all attempts to do so are ego driven. Let this clarity be the Truth that shines forth on this Day and evermore.

Those choosing to join in this vigil on Sunday, September 11, 2005, at 2:00 PM Eastern time U.S. are invited to the Liquid Light Center Internet chat room via this link:

Connect to the Internet. Click on this link to download the software. Download takes about 4 minutes.

Please pass this on to those you may wish to notify of this vigil.

Aloha Jean ~ You've met the Katrina disaster head on, staying right on top of the situation, as usual, and bless you for that! I ask now that your subscribers stay on top of the "human consciousness" factor as a very important element in all weather conditions and earth changes.

Its cosmic law that all consciousness contributes at all times to all physical reality, for better or for worse, depending on the positive or negative vibrations we individually contribute to the mass.

Not even a single thought, word or action is EVER lost as an isolated event in the universal sea of energy in which we live - which is the basis of all existence! And with these personal powers, we can intentionally MITIGATE extreme weather conditions and earth changes.

In this regard, your Meditation efforts are very important and I hope they will expand! In a related note, I invite you to see

Goodwill to you,
