The Big Scoop Series #2: A Gazillion Things to Consider

Hello everyone!

Here is what struck me as important to know and network over the past several days...

The DU Mess is beyond worst as I discovered. Unless some magical ET technology can render it all harmless, all Life on Earth is ultimately doomed...

American Use Of DU is "A crime against humanity which may, in the eyes of historians, rank with the worst atrocities of all time."

- Dr. Chris Busby, British radiation expert - Taken from Horror of USA's Depleted Uranium in Iraq Threatens World

"The genocide conditions occurring in areas where depleted uranium is being used sickens my heart to no end! I cannot image living in such a daily horror. I am sick of what my country has done and I hope somewhere in the annals of time we, as a nation will be forgiven. I hate war; for it never gives us anything but grief and long-term suffering for eons to come, but we just can't seem to "get the message"... All of this might be solved if everyone in the military simply laid down their weapons and walked away. It would send a very loud and clear message to our "Commander in Chief"....... I would die first before allowing myself to be used in a war!"

- Yvonne Jackson> ERN subscriber, 8 May 2005

"I grew up under the Hitler regime, my parents were against him but the German people had given the power to him and after some time no one dared to speak out against him without horrible consequences. (...) You can gather from my experience that I am a devoted peacenick and try to promote peace wherever I can. When I tell my friends about my experiences during Hitler's regime, their answer still is: 'It could not happen here, this is America.'"

You are the light of the world
"Every time you turn on your light it affects the energy of everyone and everything that comes in contact with your radiance. The more you shine your light in the spirit of peace and love, the better you will feel, and the more you feel better, the more that everything and everybody around you feels and responds in kind. Conditions and circumstances improve instantly as you radiate from the inside out, your light."

The soul incarnates by becoming karmically connected with the parents and choosing their sperm and egg. The soul oversees the biomolecular construction of a new body, and barring damaging influences, the new body will be nearly perfect. The embyological bloom of creation, starting as a single-celled zygote, miraculously unfolds into trillions of cells working harmoniously in the various systems of the body. This is a time of radical transformation for the incarnating soul, as well as for the new parents. Horror of USA's Depleted Uranium in Iraq Threatens World (29 April 2005) MUST READ!!!
American use of DU is "A crime against humanity which may, in the eyes of historians, rank with the worst atrocities of all time." US Iraq Military Vets "are on DU death row, waiting to die." "I'm horrified. The people out there - the Iraqis, the media and the troops - risk the most appalling ill health. And the radiation from depleted uranium can travel literally anywhere. It's going to destroy the lives of thousands of children, all over the world. We all know how far radiation can travel. Radiation from Chernobyl reached Wales and in Britain you sometimes get red dust from the Sahara on your car." The speaker is not some alarmist doomsayer. He is Dr. Chris Busby, the British radiation expert, Fellow of the University of Liverpool in the Faculty of Medicine and UK representative on the European Committee on Radiation Risk, talking about the best-kept secret of this war: the fact that by illegally using hundreds of tons of depleted uranium (DU) against Iraq, Britain and America have gravely endangered not only the Iraqis but the whole world. For these weapons have released deadly, carcinogenic and mutagenic, radioactive particles in such abundance that-whipped up by sandstorms and carried on trade winds - there is no corner of the globe they cannot penetrate-including Britain. For the wind has no boundaries and time is on their side: the radioactivity persists for over 4,500,000,000 years and can cause cancer, leukemia, brain damage, kidney failure, and extreme birth defects - killing millions of every age for centuries to come. A crime against humanity which may, in the eyes of historians, rank with the worst atrocities of all time. (...) Since DU darkened the land Iraq has seen birth defects which would break a heart of stone: babies with terribly foreshortened limbs, with their intestines outside their bodies, with huge bulging tumors where their eyes should be, or with a single eye-like Cyclops, or without eyes, or without limbs, and even without heads. Significantly, some of the defects are almost unknown outside textbooks showing the babies born near A-bomb test sites in the Pacific. Doctors report that many women no longer say 'Is it a girl or a boy?' but simply, 'Is it normal, doctor?' Moreover this terrible legacy will not end. The genes of their parents may have been damaged for ever, and the damaging DU dust is ever-present. (...) That the evidence from Iraq and from our troops, and the research findings of such experts, have been ignored may be no accident. A US report, leaked in late 1995, allegedly says, 'The potential for health effects from DU exposure is real; however it must be viewed in perspective... the financial implications of long-term disability payments and healthcare costs would be excessive.' Clearly, with hundreds of thousands gravely ill in Iraq and at least a quarter of a million UK and US troops seriously ill, huge disability claims might be made not only against the governments of Britain and America if the harm done by DU were acknowledged. There might also be huge claims against companies making DU weapons and some of their directors are said to be extremely close to the White House. How close they are to Downing Street is a matter for speculation, but arms sales makes a considerable contribution to British trade. So the massive whitewashing of DU over the past 12 years, and the way that governments have failed to test returning troops, seemed to disbelieve them, and washed their hands of them, may be purely to save money. (...) Britain and America not only used DU in this year's Iraq war, they dramatically increased its use-from a minimum of 320 tons in the previous war to at minimum of 1500 tons in this one. And this time the use of DU wasn't limited to anti-tank weapons-as it had largely been in the previous Gulf war-but was extended to the guided missiles, large bunker busters and big 2000-pound bombs used in Iraq's cities. This means that Iraq's cities have been blanketed in lethal particles-any one of which can cause cancer or deform a child. In addition, the use of DU in huge bombs which throw the deadly particles higher and wider in huge plumes of smoke means that billions of deadly particles have been carried high into the air-again and again and again as the bombs rained down-ready to be swept worldwide by the winds. What Is Depleted Uranium? (09 May 2005)
Crawford - The Lone Star Iconoclast last week conducted a test by asking 20 Texans, representing all walks of life and from different territories of the state, "What are your views on depleted uranium?" Nineteen had no clue what the interviewer was talking about. One offered, "Isn't that the stuff that's hauled away from nuclear power plants?" None knew that depleted uranium (DU) is radioactive material being used in military ammunition and none knew that the US military is utilizing weapons to launch these nuclear DU projectiles in Iraq. Likewise, not one of the queried Texans was aware that DU poses significant health threats not only to Iraqis, but to Americans as well, for the radioactivity spreads from continent to continent through the atmosphere and is brought home through soldiers to their families and associates. A Scientific Perspective - An Interview With LEUREN MORET, Geoscientist - MUST READ!
(...) ICONOCLAST: Is there a danger of depleted uranium, being used in weaponry over there, spreading by air over here?
MORET: The atmosphere globally is contaminated with it. It’s completely mixed in one year. I’m an expert on atmospheric dust. I’m a geoscientist, a geologist, and that’s what I studied and did my research on. It’s really a fascinating subject. We have huge dust storms that are a million square miles and transport millions of tons of dust and sand every year around the world. The main centers of these dust storms are the Gobi Desert in China, which is where the Chinese did atmospheric testing, so that’s all contaminated with radiation, and it gets transported right over Japan, and it comes straight across the Pacific and dumps all its sand and dust on the U.S., North America. It’s loaded with radioactive isotopes, soot, pesticides, chemicals, pollution — everything is in it — fungi, bacteria, viruses. The Sahara Desert is another huge dust center, and it goes up all over Europe and straight across the Atlantic, to the Caribbean, and up the East Coast. Of course, you get it in Texas with those hurricanes. They all originate in the Sahara Desert. The third region is the Western United States, which is where the Nevada test site is located. We did 1,200 nuclear weapons tests there, so all this radiation that is already there, which is bad enough, has caused a global cancer epidemic since 1945. All of that radiation was the equivalent of 40,000 Nagasaki bombs. We’re talking about 10 times more. In April of 2003, the World Health Organization said they expect global cancer rates to increase 50 percent by the year 2020. Infant mortality is going up again all over the world. This is an indicator of the level of radioactive pollution. When the U.S. and Russia signed the partial test ban treaty in 1963, the infant mortality rate started dropping again, which is normal. Now they are going up again. It’s the global pollution with this radiation.
(...) ICONOCLAST: What about the people in the United States that are here? You say that DU is being mixed and spread globally?
MORET: Yes, it’s being mixed globally. We’re getting secondary smoke. It’s the secondary smoke effect. You know the people who inhabit a room with smokers? They are getting that secondary smoke, and so are we.
ICONOCLAST: Is that secondary smoke getting thicker as we speak?
MORET: Yeah, the concentration of the depleted uranium particles in the atmosphere all around the globe is increasing. There are indications that the U.S. will go in June and bomb the heck out of Iran. We’re monitoring the U.S. Army ammunition factories. They have very large orders for those huge bunker buster bombs that have 5,000 lbs. of DU in the warhead. ICONOCLAST: So the prognosis for America isn’t really good?
MORET: No, it’s really bad.
ICONOCLAST: And if this continues then?
MORET: It’s going to kill off the world’s population. It already is, and it doesn’t just effect people. It effects all living systems. The plants, the animals, the bacteria. It effects everything.
ICONOCLAST: So the things that we eat for instance, if they have DU in them, then we’ll just get it in our systems, and so we’re polluting the oceans, so that could effect all marine life?
MORET: Yes, it’s in the air, water, and soil. The half-life of DU, Uranium 238, is 4.5 billion years the age of the Earth.
ICONOCLAST: With the damage that’s been done to this point, can we turn back? We can’t clean it up?
MORET: There’s no way to clean it up. What happens is these tiny particles float around the Earth. There are still plutonium and uranium floating around the Earth from bomb testing. These particles are so tiny that molecules bumping into them keep them lofted in the air, and so the only way for them to get out of the atmosphere is rain, snow, fog, pollution, which will clear them out of the air and deposit them in the environment. What happens is the surface of these particles gets wetted by the moisture in the air. They come down and land on stuff and stick to it like a glue.
(...) ICONOCLAST: What about Iraq itself? What’s been done thus far?
MORET: It’s uninhabitable. The whole country. Yugoslavia, Iraq, and Afghanistan are completely uninhabitable.
ICONOCLAST: But people live there, so they’re going to live there suffering?
MORET: Well, you can see from the birth defects and the illnesses that it is pretty severe. Each year the number of birth defects and illnesses will rise because of the total contamination levels in all living things will increase because they are breathing that air and drinking water and eating the food from contaminated soils. It’s just a slow death sentence. The same with Yugoslavia and Afghanistan.
(...) I have a World Health Organization world health survey which they published in the Journal of American Medical Association last June. The impact of atmospheric testing is very, very apparent by the percentage of population in each country they investigated for some form of mental illness. For instance, Japan is 8.8 percent. Nigeria is very low — 4.7 percent. They have almost no radiation in Nigeria. In the Ukraine where they had the Chernobyl accident, it is 20.4 percent. Spain is at 9.2 percent. Italy is 8.2 percent. It’s pretty low because they don’t have nuke plants. France is 75 percent reliant on nuclear power, so you have mental illness in 18.4 percent of the population. Mexico is at 12.2 percent, and the United States is at 26.3 percent — the highest rate of mental illness in the world. And George Bush and his siblings were all exposed in utero to bomb testing fallout in the United States. He had a toddler sister who died of leukemia when she was about three. (...) By 1963, when the U.S. tested a nuclear bomb almost every day (they did 250 tests in one year because the treaty was going to be signed), the fishing catch declined by 50 percent. In the Pacific, it declined 60 percent because there was Russian, Chinese, French, and U.S. testing in the Pacific.
ICONOCLAST: So we’re still eating those contaminated fish today. Has the genetic code been changed?
MORET: The oceans are getting whatever is getting rained down, snowed down, or fogged down from the atmosphere. It’s getting into the oceans. This big frog die-off, which is global, is certainly related to the radiation in the rainwater. It’s a global nuclear holocaust. It effects all living things. That’s why they call it “omnicide,” which means it kills all living things — the plants, the animals, the bacteria. Everything.
ICONOCLAST: You think we ought to have the Weather Channel report on the current sand storm conditions in Iraq so we can prepare four days in advance for the radiation?
MORET: I’ll tell you what I did when 9/11 happened. I called all the doctors with Radiation And Public Health Project, and I said, “Get out of town, and don’t come back until it has rained three times.” One lived 12 miles downwind from the Pentagon. She went out on her balcony with her geiger counter. I said, “Get that geiger counter out of your purse.” We had just done a press conference in San Francisco, and I knew she had it in her purse. Well, the radiation levels were 8-10 times higher than background. We called the EPA, HAZMAT, FBI, and said, “Get all those emergency response workers suited up. They need to be protected.” Two days after 9/11, the EPA radiation expert for that region called back and said, “Yup, the Pentagon crash rubble was radioactive, and we believe it’s depleted uranium, but we’re not worried about that. It’s only harmful if it’s inhaled.” He said, “We’re worried about the lead solder in the plane.” Well, you know what’s in Tomahawk missiles? They have depleted uranium warheads. The radioactive crash rubble contaminated with DU is evidence of a DU warhead. CLIP

A Military Perspective
An Interview With MAJOR DOUG ROKKE, Ph.D Former Director of the U.S. Army Depleted Uranium Project

'Shock and Awe' The Pentagon's Fiery Crucibles of War, by LEUREN MORET (10 March 03)
(...) One gram of depleted uranium releases more than 12,000 alpha particles per second. When depleted uranium is inhaled as very fine radioactive dust, it enters the blood stream and is carried throughout the body. Because it is nearly insoluble it stays in the blood or lodges in the tissues, organs and bones of the body. The alpha particles that are released from these "hot particles" tear through the cells and membranes like nuclear bullets and dump huge amounts of energy like nuclear bombs destroying the immune system, nervous system, muscles, and the brain. The radiation slowly kills the cells that make life possible and Gulf War Syndrome, a complex of diseases, slowly kills the soldier. It mutilates the unborn, causing birth defects, horrible birth defects in babies born after the Gulf War without eyes, brains, organs, arms, legs. In a study by the Veterans Administration (1), of 251 Gulf War veterans families in Mississippi, 67% of the children conceived and born after the war had diseases and defects rated severe. The Iraqi children born with birth defects are like the children of the Gulf War veterans… CLIP

Soaring birth deformities and child cancer rates in Iraq (10 May 2005)
Iraqi doctors are making renewed efforts to bring to the world’s attention the growth in birth deformities and cancer rates among the country’s children. The medical crisis is being directly blamed on the widespread use of depleted uranium (DU) munitions by the US and British forces in southern Iraq during the 1991 Gulf War, and the even greater use of DU during the 2003 invasion. The rate of birth defects, after increasing ten-fold from 11 per 100,000 births in 1989 to 116 per 100,000 in 2001, is soaring further. Spate of giant quakes feared (May 02, 2005),5744,15148397%5E30417,00.html
LONDON: The Indonesian earthquake behind the Boxing Day tsunami that killed 300,000 people could be the first of a series of giant quakes that will rock the world in the next 10 to 15 years, scientists have warned. The Mediterranean is among areas at high risk, particularly the coasts of Greece and Turkey, both popular tourist destinations. The scientists are urging the installation of a tsunami warning system there as a matter of urgency. They found that quakes such as the one in Indonesia can destabilise the whole of the earth's crust, so that one is followed by others, often thousands of kilometres away, within a few years. "The four biggest earthquakes of the 20th century all happened within 12 years of each other, a pattern we see repeated with other quakes over many decades," said Vladimir Kossobokov of the International Institute of Earthquake Prediction in Moscow. "It is highly likely that we will see several more on the scale of the Indonesian event in the next few years." The series of four last century that exceeded magnitude 9 on the Richter scale began with a quake in 1952 in Kamchatka, in the far east of Russia. It generated a tsunami that flooded coastlines all over the Pacific. Another hit the Andreanof Islands in Alaska in 1957, generating a 15m-high tsunami that hit ports from California to Japan. The biggest and most destructive quake hit Chile three years later, killing more than 2000 people and producing a 23m-high tsunami that caused chaos across the Pacific. The last of the cluster hit Alaska in 1964, killing 130. Professor Kossobokov released his research at last week's annual meeting of the European Geosciences Union in Vienna, alongside a separate study into the history of tsunamis around Europe. That study, by Stefano Tinti, professor of geophysics at Bologna university, found that at least 232 tsunamis had hit Europe since prehistoric times. "Many of them were so powerful that they altered the course of civilisation," Professor Tinti said.

Soldier Lifts Lid on Camp Delta (08 May 2005),6903,1479040,00.html
For the first time, an army insider blows the whistle on human rights abuses at Guantánamo. An American soldier has revealed shocking new details of abuse and sexual torture of prisoners at Guantánamo Bay in the first high-profile whistleblowing account to emerge from inside the top-secret base. Erik Saar, an Arabic speaker who was a translator in interrogation sessions, has produced a searing first-hand account of working at Guantánamo. It will prove a damaging blow to a White House still struggling to recover from the abuse scandal at Abu Ghraib jail in Iraq. In an exclusive interview, Saar told The Observer that prisoners were physically assaulted by 'snatch squads' and subjected to sexual interrogation techniques and that the Geneva Conventions were deliberately ignored by the US military. He also said that soldiers staged fake interrogations to impress visiting administration and military officials. Saar believes that the great majority of prisoners at Guantánamo have no terrorist links and little worthwhile intelligence information has emerged from the base despite its prominent role in America's war on terror. Saar paints a picture of a base where interrogations of often innocent prisoners have spiralled out of control, doing massive damage to America's image in the Muslim world. Saar said events at Guantánamo were a disaster for US foreign policy. 'We are trying to promote democracy worldwide. I don't see how you can do that and run a place like Guantánamo Bay. This is now a rallying cry to the Muslim world,' he said. CLIP

The Quagmire (05 May 2005) VERY, VERY GRIM SITUATION IN IRAQ
As the Iraq war drags on, it's beginning to look a lot like Vietnam The news from Iraq is bad and getting worse with each passing day. Iraqi insurgents are stepping up the pace of their attacks, unleashing eleven deadly bombings on April 29th alone. Many of the 150,000 Iraqi police and soldiers hastily trained by U.S. troops have deserted or joined the insurgents. The cost of the war now tops $192 billion, rising by $1 billion a week, and the corpses are piling up: Nearly 1,600 American soldiers and up to 100,000 Iraqi civilians are dead, as well as 177 allied troops and 229 private contractors. Other nations are abandoning the international coalition assembled to support the U.S., and the new Iraqi government, which announced its new cabinet to great fanfare on April 27th, remains sharply split along ethnic and religious lines. (...) If it comes to civil war, the disintegration of Iraq will be extremely bloody. "The breakup of Iraq would be nearly as bad as the breakup of India in 1947," says David Mack, a former U.S. assistant secretary of state with wide experience in the Arab world. "The Kurds can't count on us to come in and save their bacon. Do they think we are going to mount an air bridge on their behalf?" Israel might support the Kurds, but Iran would intervene heavily in support of the Shiites with men, arms and money, while Arab countries would back their fellow Sunnis. "You'd see Jordan, Saudi Arabia, even Egypt intervening with everything they've got -- tanks, heavy weapons, lots of money, even troops," says White, the former State Department official. "If they see the Sunnis getting beaten up by the Shiites, there will be extensive Arab support," agrees a U.S. Army officer. "There will be no holds barred." In fact, it may already be too late to prevent Iraq from exploding. Iraq's new government is stuck in a fatal Catch-22: To have any credibility among Iraqis it must break with the U.S. and oppose the occupation, but it couldn't last a week without the protection of American troops. CLIP

Body Counts (11 May 2005)
The Pentagon secretly keeps track of many grim statistics in Iraq. The numbers are not encouraging. (...) An accidentally declassified Pentagon report about a killing on the road to Baghdad airport at the beginning of March shows quite clearly how much worse the overall situation is than the Bush administration would like us, or even its allies in the Coalition forces, to believe. "The US considers all of Iraq a combat zone," says the report, which was wrapped up at the end of April, three months after the elections that were supposed to have turned the tide in this conflict. "From July 2004 to late March 2005," says the document, "there were 15,527 attacks against Coalition Forces throughout Iraq." Then comes one of several paragraphs marked S//NF (secret, not for distribution to foreign nationals): "From 1 November 2004 to 12 March 2005 there were 3306 attacks in the Baghdad area. Of these, 2400 were directed against Coalition Forces." In a span of four and a half months, which included the election turning point, that's not only a hell of a lot of hits in the capital city, it's just pure hell. CLIP

Experts: Iraq verges on civil war (May 12, 2005),0,4630319.story
WASHINGTON -- An unchastened insurgency sowed devastation across Iraq Wednesday as experts here said the country is either on the verge of civil war or already in the middle of it. (...) Other experts said Iraq is on the verge of a full-scale civil war with civilians on both sides being slaughtered. Incidents in the past two weeks south of Baghdad, with apparently retaliatory killings of Sunni and Shia civilians, point in that direction, they say. Also of concern were media accounts that hard-line Shia militia members are being deployed to police hard-line Sunni communities such as Ramadi, east of Baghdad, which specialists on Iraq said was a recipe for disaster. (...) Lang said there is new evidence that Saddam Hussein's regime carefully prepared in advance for the insurgency, with former Iraqi officers at the core of each group. They are well coordinated and have consistently adjusted their strategy, he said. Now the 140,000-plus U.S. troops in the country are mainly "a nuisance" factor in the insurgents' overall goal of preventing the new government from consolidating."They understand what the deal is here," Lang said, "to start applying maximum pressure to the economy and the government and make sure it will not work." Their roadside bombs are intended to keep U.S. forces inside their bases, he said. All the while the insurgents are gaining strength, he said. "The longer they keep going on the better they will get," said Lang, a student of military history. "The best school of war is war." The Sunni insurgents could win the battle if they persevere long enough to sour U.S. voters, Feldman said. He said, "There is no evidence whatsoever that they cannot win."

Iraqi Police Vent Anger at US after Car Bombings (10 May 2005)
Iraqi police hurled insults at US soldiers after two suicide car bomb blasts in Baghdad killed at least seven people and left 19 wounded, including policemen. "It's all because you're here," a policeman shouted in Arabic at a group of US soldiers after the latest in a bloody wave of attacks that have rocked Baghdad this month. "Get out of our country and there will be no more explosions," he told the uncomprehending Americans staring at the smoldering wreck of a car bomb. CLIP

Congress Approves $82 Billion for Wars (11 May 2005)
Iraq cost to pass $200 billion; Army to ask for more. The Senate gave final passage yesterday to an $82 billion emergency war-spending bill, sending President Bush a measure that will push the cost of the Iraq invasion well past $200 billion. Even with such large, unanticipated expenditures, Army officials and congressional aides say more money will be needed as early as October. The Army Materiel Command, the Army's main logistical branch, has put Congress on notice that it will need at least two more emergency "supplemental" bills just to finance the repair and replacement of Army equipment. By 2010, war costs are likely to exceed half a trillion dollars, according to nonpartisan congressional researchers. CLIP

Indignation Grows in US over British Prewar Documents (12 May 2005)
Critics of Bush call them proof that he and Blair never saw diplomacy as an option with Hussein. London - Reports in the British press this month based on documents indicating that President Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair had conditionally agreed by July 2002 to invade Iraq appear to have blown over quickly in Britain. But in the United States, where the reports at first received scant attention, there has been growing indignation among critics of the Bush White House, who say the documents help prove that the leaders made a secret decision to oust Iraqi President Saddam Hussein nearly a year before launching their attack, shaped intelligence to that aim and never seriously intended to avert the war through diplomacy. (...)  "If the disclosure is accurate, it raises troubling new questions regarding the legal justifications for the war as well as the integrity of our own administration," the letter says. "While the president of the United States was telling the citizens and the Congress that they had no intention to start a war with Iraq, they were working very close with Tony Blair and the British leadership at making this a foregone conclusion," the letter's chief author, Rep. John Conyers Jr. of Michigan, said Wednesday. If the documents are real, he said, it is "a huge problem" in terms of an abuse of power. He said the White House had not yet responded to the letter. Out to shock the world over Saudi reserves
George Bush's energy adviser Matt Simmons claims the global economy has misjudged oil supply - AS President George W Bush strolled around his Prairie Chapel ranch in Texas last week with Saudi ruler Crown Prince Abdullah, oil prices were high on the agenda during talks between the leaders of the worlds biggest energy consumer and largest oil exporter. At the same time, Matt Simmons, one of Bush's energy advisers, was at a conference in Edinburgh, spelling out harsh facts on Saudi oil production which, if proved true, would have severe repercussions for the global economy. Simmons' belief is that Saudi has been overstating its oil reserves for years, its biggest oil fields are in decline and it will struggle to live up to its promise to crank up daily output from around 10 million barrels a day to 12 million by 2009 and later 15 million to meet global demand. He visited Saudi in 2003 as part of a US energy delegation. By the time he left, six days later, he was convinced that the rosy picture the Saudis had painted of their key strategic resource was deeply flawed but he could not yet prove it. CLIP

Saudi's have a ' scorched-earth' plan for their oil (10 May 2005)\ sau_1.html
EMBARGOED BOOK CLAIMS SAUDI OIL INFRASTRUCTURE RIGGED FOR CATASTROPHIC SELF-DESTRUCTION - According to a new book exclusively obtained by the Huffington Post, Saudi Arabia has crafted a plan to protect itself from a possible invasion or internal attack. It includes the use of a series of explosives, including radioactive "dirty bombs," that would cripple Saudi Arabian oil production and distribution systems for decades. Bestselling author Gerald Posner lays out this "doomsday scenario" in his forthcoming "Secrets of the Kingdom: The Inside Story of the Saudi-US Connection" (Random House). According to the book, which will be released to the public on May17, based on National Security Agency electronic intercepts, the Saudi Arabian government has in place a nationwide, self-destruction explosive system composed of conventional explosives and dirty bombs strategically placed at the Kingdom's key oil ports, pipelines, pumping stations, storage tanks, offshore platforms, and backup facilities. If activated, the bombs would destroy the infrastructure of the world's largest oil supplier, and leave the country a contaminated nuclear wasteland ensuring that the Kingdom's oil would be unusable to anyone. The NSA file is dubbed internally Petro SE, for petroleum scorched earth. To make certain that the damaged facilities cannot be rebuilt, the Saudis have deployed crude Radioactive Dispersal Devices (RDDs) throughout the Kingdom. Built covertly over several years, these dirty bombs are in place at -- among other locations -- all eight of the Kingdom's refineries, sections of the world's largest oil field at Ghawar, and at three of the ten indispensable processing towers at the largest-ever processing complex at Abqaiq. According to the NSA intercepts, Petro SE was devised by the Saudis because of their overriding fear that if an internal revolt or external attack threatened the survival of the House of Saud, the U.S. and other Western powers might abandon them as the Shah of Iran was abandoned in 1979. Only by having in place a system that threatened to create crippling oil price increases, political instability and economic recessions did the royal family believe it could coerce Western military powers to keep them in power. Oil Doomsday is Nigh, Tar Sands Not a Substitute (11 May 2005)
NEW YORK -- Matthew R. Simmons says the world is blindly and blithely racing toward an energy crisis rooted in false assumptions about plentiful Saudi Arabian oil reserves. Simmons says that provided “disbelief is suspended”, the problem can be dealt with, but not before prices surge to crimp demand. CLIP

ONE STALK REVOLUTION By William Thomas (05-05-05 )
What with rising oil prices and all, I thought it might be worthwhile to see just how much food I could grow on my back deck. According to the US Office of Petroleum Reserves, after adding up shale oil and other last-ditch "unconventional" oil supplies last year, "world oil reserves are being depleted three-times as fast as they are being discovered. " And we're just getting warmed up. Surging demand is only hastening the crash of cultures and communities dependent on distant suppliers to grow, harvest, process and transport food—and just about every other necessity. "Kiss your lifestyle goodbye," said one US government official recently. "The second Great Depression may be round the corner."

Bush Plan Could 'Sunset' Any Federal Agency (May 03, 2005)
Tucked away in the 2,000-page budget plan passed last week by both houses of Congress are three short sentences that could eliminate every federal program that protects public health, the environment, investors, worker's rights and many more. As described by journalist Osha Gray Davidson in the April 21st Rolling Stone, a proposed "Sunset Commission" could enable the president to eliminate any agency he dislikes -- leaving the American people at the mercy of big business. The driving force behind the Sunset Commission is President Bush's four-year Yale roommate and close friend, Clay Johnson. As governor of Texas, Bush put Johnson in charge of all state appointments. With this authority, Johnson promptly removed all three members of the state environmental protection commission and replaced them with a former Monsanto executive, an official with the Texas Beef Council and a lawyer for the oil industry. US 'Sent Detainees to Egypt' (11 May 2005)
A new report by a leading human rights group says the United States and other countries have secretly sent dozens of Islamist detainees to Egypt, where they have most likely been tortured, in the past decade. The 53-page report by Human Rights Watch said Egypt is the world's main recipient of detainees. The report, titled Black Hole: The Fate of Islamists Rendered to Egypt, identifies 61 people who have been transferred into Egyptian custody since 1994. However some experts quoted by the report say the actual number of people sent to Egypt is much higher, as such transfers usually occur in secret and without legal safeguards. The report cites analysts, lawyers and Islamic activists who believe 150 to 200 detainees have been transferred since the September 11, 2001, attacks on the US. CLIP

Issue in China: Labor Camps That Operate outside the Courts (09 May 2005)
(...) Shandong No. 2 is part of a vast penal system in China that is separate from the judicial system. Falun Gong members are hardly the only inmates. Locked inside more than 300 special prisons are an estimated 300,000 prostitutes, drug users, petty criminals and other political prisoners who have been stripped of any legal rights. In a nondemocratic country like China, such abuse of legal rights might not seem surprising. But this system, a relic of the Mao era, is presenting a dilemma for a modern Communist Party that faces pressure at home and abroad to change the system yet remains obsessed with security and political control. The government this year is expected to begin privately considering whether, and how, to change the system. At the same time, the European Union has stated that for China to achieve one of its most prized diplomatic goals - the lifting of Europe's arms embargo - it needs to make a significant gesture on human rights. Human rights advocates agree that few gestures would be more significant than abolishing or changing this system, which is known as reform through labor re-education. But unlike releasing a political prisoner, a common Chinese good-will gesture, changing labor re-education could force the Communist Party to give up a major tool it has used to maintain its hold on power. Chiquita's Children (10 May 2005)
Jose Alberto Paniagua, 24, was born disabled and voiceless with a gaze permanently haunted by a look of terror. Jose's father and mother both worked at a plantation which used Nemagon. In the '70s and '80s, the banana companies Dole, Del Monte and Chiquita used a carcinogenic pesticide, Nemagon, to protect their crops in Nicaragua. Today, the men and women who worked on those plantations suffer from incurable illnesses. Their children are deformed. The companies feign innocence. (...) The workers' children are often those most affected by the pesticide. When Simcoa Paniagua and Mercedes Alvarez, both of whom were exposed to Nemgaon during the '70s, tried to have a child, they first had a son with such extreme deformities he died at the age of 2, and then they had José Alberto. He is 24 today, and unable to either walk or talk. His gaze is permanently haunted by a look of terror, as if he were witnessing a never-ending sequence of horrific images. The most striking case, though, remains Roberto Francisco, who at 11 is a likeable, smiley and bright boy, born with his four limbs so atrociously deformed that he is unable to move. Roberto is confined to his wheelchair, which his friends manipulate to get him to school and back. "I can't do sports, but I like watching my friends play soccer," he says when asked what he likes to do in his free time. When he grows up he hopes to become "a deputy, an engineer or a lawyer." Roberto's father worked in the plantation from 1971 to 1992. For now, his grandmother is raising him; she makes a living selling corn patties that she cooks in her own wood stove. According to Dr. Barry Levy, former president of the American Public Health Association, Nemagon is so dangerous that it should never have been put into circulation. "The product's creators should have become alarmed as early as the mid-'50s, when lab tests revealed it was making rats sterile," he says. "But that didn't stop it being put on the market." "The most amazing thing about the Nemagon catastrophe is that it could have been avoided," Levy continues. "The companies went forward. And then when the American government abolished the product here, they expedited it to other countries." CLIP

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Guards are changed every thirty minutes, twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year. For a person to apply for guard duty at the tomb, he must be between 5' 10" and 6' 2" tall and his waist size cannot exceed 30." Other requirements of the Guard: They must commit 2 years of life to guard the tomb, live in a barracks under the tomb, and cannot drink any alcohol on or off duty for the rest of their lives. They cannot swear in public for the rest of their lives and cannot disgrace the uniform {fighting} or the tomb in any way. After two years, the guard is given a wreath pin that is worn on their lapel signifying they served as guard of the tomb. There are only 400 presently worn. The guard must obey these rules for the rest of their lives or give up the wreath pin. The shoes are specially made with very thick soles to keep the heat and cold from their feet. There are metal heel plates that extend to the top of the shoe in order to make the loud click as they come to a halt. There are no wrinkles, folds or lint on the uniform. Guards dress for duty in front of a full-length mirror. The first six months of duty a guard cannot talk to anyone, nor watch TV. All off duty time is spent studying the 175 notable people laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery. A guard must memorize who they are and where they are interred. Among the notables are: President Taft, Joe E. Lewis {the boxer} and Medal of Honor winner Audie Murphy, {the most decorated soldier of WWII} of Hollywood fame. Every guard spends five hours a day getting his uniforms ready for guard duty. The tomb has been patrolled continuously, 24/7, since 1930.

Hi Jean,

First of all, I want to thank you for publishing those items I sent you in your last newsletter. I am so proud of those who gave 8 years of their lives to fight against torture. After that issue, mostly on torture, it was extremely nice to learn of a victory against it.

I first found your website in January of this year, after reading one of Matthew's messages, re: the tsunami, that Maya del Mar had re-printed on her astrology website, . Of course, I had to check out where this came from, and followed the link to your website. Until that point, I had become a little apathetic with the Internet, burnt out on its commerciality. You fixed that, however. I cruised thru your site...loving all of it....signed up for the newsletters...printed out all of the rest of Matthew's messages, and headed up to the mountains for a week. During that time, I read all the messages I had printed out... was duly blown away, and came back to the coast a changed person. Good thing there were three newsletters from you waiting in my inbox, because novels and movies just weren't cutting it for me anymore. Time had come to spend time with more serious matters. During February and March, most of my free time was spent with your newsletters and Matthew's books. What a great gift you and Matthew and Suzy ward have given all of us! I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Layers of forgetfulness are being pealed away and I am remembering so much of what my soul had forgotten over so many years of distraction... I'm amazed! It's much easier now, to keep my energy on a more consistently positive level, and I'm loving it.

Of your, newsletters, I like the ones best that relate the Light and to Spirit. I also read and appreciate all of the other ones. Truly, we need to know what's going on in this world in order to take action needed to effect change, however it is that we choose to do that. Prayer is extremely important, and I've always found it to be effective. However, taking non-violent actions, and letting our lawmakers know what we want regarding important issues, is how we can help all the Lightworkers who are healing the Earth and helping us humans. For me, contacting lawmakers, signing and circulating petitions, etc, is sort of like doing chores that have to get done. Once they're done, I always feel so much better, and the energy around me is a lot better, as well.

More and more, I've been joining you and the ERN in the meditations. The last one, and the Spring Equinox ones touched me most profoundly. The past three weeks, I have been blessed with so many infusions of "at oneness", or, what I call God-moments... a blissful blessing, indeed! Fountains of Love and Rainbow Light erupt from my heart, and overflow at times like these, and I try to send the energy outward and onward. What a blessing to be able to share in this way!

On the Evening of the Spring Equinox, after completing the crystal ceremony, I placed my crystal in a bowl of water, on my altar in the living-room. I made sure the crystal's point was facing west, where the magnificent grey whales we're migrating North, during that time. In doing so, I hoped the crystal would continue to focus my love and my prayers to the whales. The next morning when I looked at my altar, I was blown away to see the crystal pointing South, to where I'd been sleeping. No one else was in the house. The doors were locked. No one had touched the crystal (a good-sized, heavy crystal). All I can figure, is that the whales were letting me know that they had heard me, and were happy. I've never heard of a crystal moving on its own, have you?

Anyway, I just thought I'd send you a little feedback, since I had a moment. Thank you for doing what you do, and for effecting my life in such wonderful ways.

Much Love to You, and HAPPY GARDENING !

P.S. In the first Green Holocaust I read, I was SHOCKED to learn that Canadian old growth forests had been decimated by the Kleenex Corporation. Since then, I no longer buy their products, and encourage others to boycott them as well. In fact, I've greatly reduced my usage of most paper products. I find I can live just fine without things like Kleenex, paper plates, and newspapers. I now buy paper towels made of recycled paper, and I think they even make t.p. out of recycled paper...have to check that one out.

Thank you so very much Susan for sharing with me the history of how you came in touch with the Earth Rainbow Network and the role it has come to play in your life. I was also very happy to read about your powerful experience during the recent Sunday's Meditation Focus. Likewise, these have been for me quite powerful experience in Oneness with All That Is and with every soul joining in. The intensity of Love energy streaming between all of us and the entire sphere of Life on Earth and far, far, infinitely far beyond was quite tremendous. There could be books written to try to describe what happens in those moments of communion, but suffice it to say that not a single word was needed for those immersed in this bliss to understand the magnitude of what was taking place.

I would hope that one day soon, instead of 3000 people receiving the compilations and Meditation Focus, 3 million people and much much more will be able to avail themselves, like you, of all this life-changing intellectual information and spiritual connections.

As for what happened with your crystal, I would be interested to hear if other people on the ERN list have observed similar signs in relation to their spiritual work... Perhaps such happenings are more widespread than we are currently aware of...

Finally, regarding the heart-opening stimulation the Matthew books and messages can provide, I'm glad you mentioned it as it reminded me when I read the first book, Matthew Tell me About Heaven, even before it was published, from a copy I had printed after receiving it in electronic form from Suzy. I was privileged to be one of the first few people to read this book and I immediately realized the amazing potential it holds to shift the views and feelings of everyone on Earth about death and the afterlife, and much much more if you include the material in the other books and all the messages he regularly sends us through his beloved mother. Ever since, I've lent a helping hand, just like an ever growing number of people, to network the good news about these books and I'm absolutely convinced we have not seen yet the full extent of the mass circulation and wide readership these books will get in the coming years. The first book has already been translated in several languages - Japanese, Mandarin, Italian, and others - and the French version that I'm currently translating will be available next September.

Once again thank you for taking a moment to share with me your thoughts and spiritual experiences.

Much Love!

Joint Project of Association of World Citizens and Friends of the Earth Anti-Nuclear Weapons Campaign

32 Nobel Laureates and 237 organizations and parliamentarians from around the world have signed a Statement of Endorsement that calls for removing all strategic nuclear weapons from "hair-trigger alert and "Launch on Warning" status. In addition the Statement has been endorsed by the European Parliament and by the Australian Senate.

The Statement is being released in the warm-up to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Review Conference in New York May 2-29 and is aimed at raising the profile of the issue of nuclear weapons operating status at that review.

Of the 32 Nobel Laureates signing the Statement, eight are Peace Laureates, including the Dalai Lama, Jose Ramos Horta, Carlos Filipe Ximenes Belo, Mairead Corrigan Maquire, Joseph Rotblat, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Oscar Arias Sanchez, and Betty Williams. In addition, the International Peace Bureau and IPPNW, that have received the Nobel Peace Prize, also endorsed the Statement.

A total of 53 parliamentarians have signed the Statement from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Russia, Belgium, Germany, Brazil, U.S.A., and Italy.

The appeal was endorsed in motions concerning the Nuclear Nonproliferation Review Conference on march 10th by both the European Parliament and the Australian Senate.

This project was initiated and is coordinated by the Association of World Citizens in San Francisco and by Friends of the Earth Australia in Sydney, with assistance from many other groups worldwide including Abolition-2000, the International Association of Lawyers Against Nuclear Arms (IALANA), Mayors for Peace, and the War & Peace Foundation.

In spite of significant reductions in the number of nuclear warheads held by the U.S. and Russia from 1990 onwards, both countries maintain thousands of warheads on 'launch on warning' and 'hair-trigger" alert status to this day and will continue to do so, in spite of the Moscow Treaty, through 2012.

A recent report by the RAND corporation reported that the 4,000 U.S. and Russian strategic nuclear warheads on hair-trigger alert could be launched in a few minutes notice destroying both countries in an hour.

A number of terrifying 'near misses' to nuclear war have taken place, both during and after the end of the Cold War, in which the fate of civilization has depended on correct decision-making by highly stressed military personnel or on presidents whose sobriety has sometimes been questionable.

Moreover, the nuclear danger has accelerated with the acquisition of nuclear weapons by India and Pakistan, and the evolution of centralized command and control systems in those countries. The subcontinent is moving toward a highly dangerous 'hair trigger' status.

Taking nuclear weapons systems off hair-trigger alert has been called for repeatedly by the European Parliament, the UN General Assembly, and was a key recommendation of the Canberra Commission in 1996, and of the Atlanta Consultation, chaired by President Carter in January of 2005.

Removing strategic nuclear weapons from launch on warning status is seen by the Canberra Commission and the Atlanta Consultation as a first step toward the elimination of nuclear arsenals worldwide, as required by article VI of the NPT. The issue of removing nuclear weapons from "hair-trigger" alert underlines the necessity of ceasing to play Russian (or American, or Indian or Pakistani) roulette with the entire world.

Our Statement calling for the elimination of hair-trigger policy will be released in Melbourne, Geneva, Hiroshima, San Francisco, New York (at the UN), and London on April 5th.

This project was initiated from the World Citizen Award presented to Stanislav Petrov in Moscow on 21 May 2004 by the Association of World Citizens. Petrov is credited by many arms experts as probably saving the world from nuclear war though his singular decision when in charge of an early-warning bunker outside of Moscow on September 26, 1983, when the system indicated the Soviet Union was under a missile attack by the United States.

Missing Nuclear Leadership

The New York Times Editorial

08 May 2005

Representatives of nearly 190 countries are currently meeting in New York to discuss ways of strengthening the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty. It's a shame that neither President Bush nor Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice can find time to attend. Nuclear proliferation is the pre-eminent national security issue of our times. The nonproliferation treaty, signed in 1968, is the main reason John F. Kennedy's nightmare vision of 15 to 20 nuclear weapons states has been avoided. Instead, there are fewer than 10: the five that already had nuclear weapons when the treaty was signed, and Israel, India, Pakistan and probably North Korea, with Iran threatening to join that list in a few years' time.

Israel developed its bomb in the 1960's, but India and Pakistan tested their first bombs in 1998, and North Korea could test at any time. These recent additions to the list are a clear sign that the treaty needs reinforcing, particularly by closing the loophole that now allows countries to legally acquire bomb-making skills and equipment under the guise of civilian nuclear power programs. That is the most important challenge facing this month's treaty review conference. But it cannot be met without committed leadership from the United States.

Washington needs to lead the way in shoring up the basic bargain that underlies the treaty. The major nuclear weapons states committed themselves to reduce their own stockpiles significantly in exchange for nonnuclear states' renouncing the ambition of joining their ranks.

Demonstrating good faith on that score will not be so easy for an administration that has torn up the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, frozen ratification of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty and talks darkly about designing new and improved nuclear bombs. But it is absolutely essential if nonnuclear countries are to stay committed to their side of the bargain. And whatever hope remains of walking back the North Korean and Iranian nuclear programs is not helped by American talk of developing more usable nuclear weapons.

The dangers associated with nuclear weapons and nuclear terrorism are not confined to the six to eight bombs that North Korea may have produced or the handful that Iran may be able to manufacture by the end of this decade. The thousands in well-guarded American and poorly guarded Russian stockpiles and the hundreds possessed by Britain, France and China are also significant parts of the equation. To their credit, Washington and Moscow agreed in 2002 to cut sharply the number of warheads loaded on missiles and bombers by 2012, but with no specific timetables for doing so and no commitments to actually dismantle the unloaded weapons.

American leadership is also needed to gather support for a treaty that would, for the first time, ban the production of enriched uranium or plutonium for nuclear weapons. Such production is at the center of the current North Korean and Iranian nuclear programs.

Instead of working to strengthen this treaty, Washington has spent much of the last year trying to strip the working draft of all serious verification provisions. The United States already has all the fissile material it needs for weapons purposes. Banning further production in the rest of the world would be an effective way to curtail rogue weapons programs and the international trafficking of nuclear materials.

That would still leave the problem of fissile materials produced under the cover of civilian nuclear power programs. One possible approach, proposed by Mohamed ElBaradei, who heads the International Atomic Energy Agency, would require all such production to take place in multinational centers, under the agency's supervision.

Any country that wanted to have a nuclear energy program and agreed to international inspection rules would have the right to purchase reactor fuel from these multinational centers. In one variant of this proposal, all countries would be asked to agree to a temporary moratorium on building their own enrichment and reprocessing facilities while the new multinational system was being set up. The idea would be to provide a face-saving way for Iran to retreat from what is currently a legally permitted enrichment program.

Plenty of good ideas and some not-so-good ones will be floating around the Nonproliferation Treaty review conference this month. But unless Washington brings high-level leadership to the table, the most important steps needed to keep other countries from following the paths of North Korea and Iran will not be taken.

Human life on our planet is in jeopardy.

It is in jeopardy from war that could pulverize the human habitat.

It is in jeopardy from preparations for war that destroy or diminish the prospects of decent existence.

It is in jeopardy because of the denial of human rights.

It is in jeopardy because the air is being fouled and the waters and soil are being poisoned.

It is in jeopardy because of the uncontrolled increase in population.

If these dangers are to be removed and if human development is to be assured, we the peoples of this planet must accept obligations to each other and to thee generations of human beings to come.

We have the obligation to free our world of war by creating an enduring basis for world peace.

We have the obligation to safeguard the delicate balances of the natural environment and to develop the world's resources for the common good.

We have the obligation to place the human interest, and human sovereignty above national sovereignty.

We have the obligation to make human rights the primary concern of society.

We have the obligation to create a world order in which man neither has to kill or be killed.

In order to carry out these obligations, we the peoples of this world assert our primary allegiance to each other in the family of man.

We declare our individual citizenship to the world community and our support for a United Nations capable of governing our planet in the common human interest.

The world belongs to the people who inhabit it. We have the right to change it, shape it, nurture it.

Life in the universe is unimaginably rare. It must be be protected, respected, cherished.

We pledge our energies and resources of spirit to the preservation of the human habitat and to the infinite possibilities of human betterment in our time.

Public Opinion on Torture, the Iraq War, and Civil Liberties

New findings from Retro Poll: May 6, 2005

Berkeley - In a series of polls by Retro Poll 72-89 percent of the American public consistently opposed the use of torture by the U.S. government. A recent poll by the Gallup organization confirmed these results.

In a new poll completed May 1st Retro Poll has found that 67.3 percent of those polled knew torture is against U.S. laws and a war crime. But many people remained unaware that their government is systematically employing torture. For example, only 32.7 percent had seen media reports that the U.S. was "rendering" captives, sending them to be tortured by outlaw governments, whose practices the U.S. supposedly abhors; and less than half (47.3 percent) knew that the International Red Cross issued a secret report to the government, later leaked to the press, that accused the U.S. of systematic use of torture at Guantanamo. Indeed 58 percent of those questioned believed that the torture so far exposed is the result of "a few bad apples".

In addition, based upon two sequential polls, about one in three Americans still believes that Saddam Hussein worked with the Al Qaeda terror network. This subgroup of Americans opposed withdrawal from Iraq (57.6 percent to 42.4 percent) although more than half of those polled by Retro Poll (52 percent), and 57 percent in a CNN poll released May 3rd, favored a full U.S. withdrawal. Presently neither the President nor the Democratic Party are calling for an U.S. timetable for withdrawal.

The same respondents who found terrorism a justification for the Iraq war also tended to have less critical views on torture. When asked whether they approve of the appointments of John Negroponte as National Intelligence Chief and Albert Gonzales as Attorney General in view of their support for the use of torture, 30 percent of those who believe Saddam worked with Al Qaeda approved the nominations. However, only 11 percent of those who knew that Saddam and Al Qaeda were enemies approved. This is a significant difference (p=. 009 by chi-squared test).

Fifty seven percent of the poll sample supported a moratorium on executions in the U.S. until systematic unfairness in the application of the death penalty has been addressed, (the same proportion as in a September, 2004 Retro poll). Opposition to specific intrusions authorized by the Patriot Act remained strong when detailed. However, opposition varied from as low as 54 percent against local businesses and professionals being required to turn over info to the government, to as high as 86 percent when federal officials are authorized to "enter your home and investigate you, recording and copying materials" without telling you. This 32-point gap suggests a failure to recognize that the Patriot Act is worded so that many provisions can be arbitrary applied to anyone without cause.

Opposition to lengthy detentions without trial remained strong (75 percent) as did support for international prosecution of war crimes (73 percent). . The poll reached 205 people in 40 states and has a margin of error statistic of 5.6-7%.

US Colonel Challenges 9/11 Govt Conspiracy Theory

Retired USAF Col. George Nelson, an aircraft accident investigator, has challenged the Official 9/11 Government Conspiracy Theory that an airliner crashed into the Pentagon.

"I didn't see any damage on the sides of that hole, anything that would say that an airplane that size could have gone through a 16 or 18 ft. hole," said Nelson in an interview on the Power Hour radio show.

Nelson was referring to the hole in the Pentagon on Sep 11, 2001, when the government claimed that an airliner driven by hijackers was crashed into the Pentagon before the collapse of the E-ring.

"There would be large parts of that wing lying on the ground on the outside," Nelson continued. "It wouldn't all go through that hole. It is impossible for all of the time change parts that have these serial numbers that are trackable to the specific aircraft. It is impossible for them to be totally destroyed where these serial numbers could not be read." (

When asked about the video and photos showing what appears to be a pod or tank on the belly of the plane that struck the South Tower of the World Trade Center and the "flash" that was seen when the plane hit the building, Col. Nelson said, "There appeared to be something attached to the belly and there definitely appeared to be a flash. What caused that flash? Who knows? I can't explain it and it's just a number of these anomalies like that, that just makes the entire picture more suspect."

The video and photographic evidence can be seen in the video "911 - In Plane Site." (

Dave von Kleist of the Power Hour Radio show writes that "the 'flash' was seen on four different video angles that captured the plane that struck the South tower. Given that the flash occurred 6 to 10 feet to the right of the point of contact of the fuselage, Col. Nelson stated that it was "highly unlikely" that it was caused by static electricity or an aluminum burn. He also said that aluminum could not have 'vaporized' as was asserted by the official story."

"Due to the fact that public officials and news networks have refused to honestly address these very serious questions raised by confirmable video and photographic evidence," von Kleist continues, "an increasing number of military personnel and airline pilots are coming forward to challenge the official story of September 11th."

Meanwhile, as more facts are revealed, the Official 9/11 Conspiracy Theory, promoted by the Government-Media Cartel, continues to crumble...

Dear Friends:

The day has come! A respected scholarly journal has finally decided to blow open the 9/11 Scandal. In the current issue of The Journal of Psychohistory you'll discover facts like these that show who caused 9/11:

1. How Cheney set up his own Command Center the day before 9/11 and was controlling hijacking drills that morning.
2. How these hijacking drills that drew Air Force jets away were called 'just a coincidence' by Bush.
3. How the Air Force was told to 'stand down' and not to intercept the terrorist planes though they had scrambled automaticlaly the previous 67 times.
4. How seismographs show it was a massive explosion in the basement of the WTC that brought the buildings down.
5. How cameras show the WTC towers were actually detonated, blowing outward, not just collapsing.
6. How photos show only a 13-foot hole in the Pentagon through which the 124-foot wide plane supposedly crashed.
7. How several Pentagon employees said they 'saw no evidence of any debris of a plane' after the crash.
8. How the FBI collected all the surveillance photographs within minutes after the crash and won't release them.
9. How some 9/11 families are suing Bush for $7 billion citing testimony from those who helped cause the crashes.
10. How Rumsfeld said the terrorist crashes were 'a blessing in disguise.'

My friends, those of us in the 9/11 Truth Movement already know these things.
But that the Journal of Psychohistory would see fit to publish these facts is astounding and unprecedented.
Please, please get moving on this. Let the Journal Staff know that you are paying attention! Tell your friends! Gift them with subscriptions! (You'll get the special issue on 9/11 free with a 1 year subscription at $29/year - half the regular rate. ) We are working to get separate copies of the 9/11 issue to make them generally available. Where: Coop Radio: CFRO 102.7 FM Vancouver, B.C.
Host: Alfred Lambremont Webre, JD, Med
The 38th Provincial General Election in British Columbia will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2005.

"BRITISH COLUMBIA’S (B.C.) provincial government is actively involved in underwriting the illegal U.S. occupation of Iraq and the ensuing butchery being inflicted on Iraq’s civilian population (now estimated at over 100,000 dead). (1) The B.C. government controls the BC Investment Management Corporation, which in turn controls $63 billion in pension fund investments for the Municipal Pension Plan, the College Pension Plan, the Public Service Pension Plan and the Teachers Pension Plan.(2) As of March 31, 2004, these investments included $4.6 billion worth of stock in 251 corporations producing war materiel and/or contracting to provide goods or services to the Pentagon.(3)"

"DEPLETED URANIUM WEAPONS: BC IMC also has significant holdings (worth a total of $170,469,986) in stocks of manufacturers of depleted uranium weapons and delivery systems. These are Lockheed, whose GBU-28 bomb contains 1.5 metric tonnes of DU (24); Texas Instruments, who make the GBU-24 and GBU-27; Boeing, which produces the GBU-31 (25); and Northrup/Grumman, which makes the GBU-37B (26). Delivery systems include Boeing’s AH64 Apache attack chopper (27) and F-15 Strike Eagle (28). Lockheed-Martin’s subsidiary General Dynamics manufactures the US Armed Forces’ main battle tank, the M1A1 Abrams, which relies on DU munitions (29). And, not least, General Electric manufactures the GAU-8 cannon (30). The A-10 Warthog antitank attack aircraft is literally built around this 30mm cannon which is probably the single largest user of depleted uranium in the whole US armory (31)."

GUESTS: Premier Gordon Campbell (Liberal Party Candidate in Point Grey Riding – Declined participation because of a debate at 8:30- 10:00 PM PT, 7.5 hours after this Public Forum)

Subject: Uri Avnery on the moral hollowness of the official commemorations

[This is the week of the many commemorations. We already had Holocaust Day and are moving towards Independence Day previous to which in Israel are commemorated the fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism. Lacking in all official ceremonies is any reference to Palestinian suffering, though it is taken up by more and more initiatives of "alternative ceremonies." The underlying theme of Uri Avnery's article of this week is the moral hollowness of the official commemorations.]

"Aren't You Ashamed?"

Uri Avnery

The car stopped for a moment. An elderly lady pushed her head out of the window and shouted; "Aren't you ashamed of yourselves? Today is Holocaust Day, and you are demonstrating for Arabs?!"

The cause of her anger was a large group of demonstrators opposite the Ministry of Defense in Tel-Aviv, last Thursday, the official Holocaust Memorial Day in Israel. Many things happened on that day.

Thousands of Israelis flew to Poland, to take part in the annual "March of Life" between the two death camps whose very names inspire dread: Auschwitz and Birkenau.

In Auschwitz, an official ceremony was held. Ariel Sharon made a political speech to promote his political agenda. He reminded the Israelis how the world had kept silent during the Holocaust, and asserted that now, too, we should not trust the world. Elie Wiesel, the inevitable Holocaust cultist, with his inevitable tortured expression, delivered his inevitable speech. For the guests of honor, places of honor were reserved, according to rank, in the first rows of the white plastic chairs.

It was another official ceremony, much like hundreds of other official ceremonies held for some purpose and on some subject or other, an occasion for politicians to utter their platitudes. The real content, the world-embracing human lesson of the Holocaust, was lost between the ceremonies and the words.

At the same time, another group of 7000 Israelis left for Moscow. Not to celebrate the victory over the Nazis 60 years ago, in which the Red Army played such an important role, nor to thank the veterans for liberating the death camps and putting an end to the extermination. No, they were accompanying a basketball team.

Israel is a global basketball power. The victories of its teams abroad fill the average Israeli with national pride. The match in Moscow was very important, and while it went on, life in this country almost came to a standstill. Everybody was following the game on State Television.

Is the preoccupation with basketball on Holocaust Day, of all days, proper? On the face of it, no. The Holocaust was the defining event in the Jewish history of the last century, and perhaps of all times. It was a warning to all humanity. Is it fitting to be occupied with a sports event on such a day?

My answer is yes. I am not a very enthusiastic sports fan. But sport, too, symbolizes the fact that the Jews have survived the Holocaust, that Jewish life is thriving in many places around the world. Adolf Hitler swore to eradicate "World Jewry" once and for all, together with the "Asiatic Hordes" of Russia. And here, 60 years after his sordid end in the Berlin Bunker, Israeli sportsmen compete in Moscow. One can be happy about that.

At the very same time, the spontaneous demonstration in front of the Defense Ministry in Tel-Aviv was taking place. Its purpose was to protest the killing of two Palestinian boys, aged 14 and 15, at Beit Likiya village, during a demonstration against the Fence.

Beit Likiya lies some kilometers south of Bil'in, the site of the large demonstration I reported on last week. The circumstances are similar: the land of Beit Likiya is also being stolen by the Fence. The bulldozers work from morning to night and their rattle, rather like a continuous burst of heavy-machine-gun fire, resonates around all the villages in the vicinity.

The villagers know that beyond this fence, on their land, their source of livelihood for many generations, new neighborhoods of the nearby settlement will be built. Like the villagers of Bil'in, they protest every day. Men, women and children march towards the armed soldiers, with blaring loudspeakers, lying down on the ground, chaining themselves to their olive trees, and sometimes the youngsters of the village throw stones and are brutally driven away by the soldiers.

When Jewish Israelis take part in the demonstrations, the soldiers generally use tear gas, stun grenades, rubber-coated steel bullets, and now also salt-bullets. When there are no Jews around, they may use live ammunition, too.

This time, a group of soldiers stood facing the village boys, who threw stones. Nobody was seriously hurt. Nobody's life was in danger. But the commander, a lieutenant, fired live rounds. Two boys were killed.

One of the boys was wounded only in the thigh. The wound was probably not mortal, but the boy was left to bleed to death. The army did not treat him, as it would have treated a wounded soldier. It seems that an ambulance from the village was not able to approach.

Within a few hours, Israeli peace activists mounted a protest. The call was transmitted by word of mouth, by phone and e-mail. About 250 men and women gathered in front of the Defense Ministry, many young people, not a few elderly ones, among them some from the Holocaust generation. Some of the drivers using this central Tel-Aviv artery raised their thumbs or sounded their horn in support. Others disapproved, like the shouting woman.

How can one demonstrate for Arabs, especially on Holocaust Day?

Well, it's a good question. And there is a good answer.

The answer expresses one of the lessons to be drawn from the Holocaust, a lesson that should be raised like a banner on Holocaust Day:

That decent persons must come to the aid of a persecuted minority.

That loyalty to your country does not justify agreement with the occupation of another country and the oppression of another people.

That you must not accept an ideology telling you that you belong to a master nation, to a superior race, to a chosen people - and that other people are inferior and subhuman.

The use of lethal force on Palestinian demonstrators, even when they throw stones, expresses abysmal contempt for the life of non-Jews. That same officer would not have fired on Jewish demonstrators in similar circumstances. The thought would not even have crossed his mind. But Palestinians, and Arabs generally, are not considered full human beings.

Opening live fire on unarmed 14 and 15- year old boys shows a deeply-rooted racist mentality. The boys' age was clear to the officer who shot them. They could not have "endangered his life", as he claims, if they had not been quite close. He certainly would have found other ways to drive them off if they had been the children of orthodox Jews or settlers.

The protection of children is a profound human instinct. A person must be a hatred-ridden racist, or have a twisted mind, for this instinct to be put out of action, whatever the origin of the boys.

There is no more appropriate day to protest against such an act, and the mental attitudes lurking behind it, than Holocaust Day.

That morning, the newspaper Haaretz presented its readers with a nice gift: every copy of the paper came with a large national flag attached. One woman took this flag, painted a blood-red stain on it and held it aloft throughout the demonstration.

Should she be ashamed of herself? On the contrary. I think that she expressed the spirit of Holocaust Day better than any other person in Israel or at the Auschwitz ceremony.

The People's Email Network EXTRA Alert

As rule of thumb we like to send out alerts no more than about once a week, but when they try to sneak MAJOR pieces of legislation through Congress without even a discussion, the people must spring into action. Now they want to create a giant centralized database and national ID card, and they slipped it into the Iraq supplemental appropriation in the dead of night. What's wrong with this picture?

In the first place, if the current administration weren't so busy distorting intelligence, ignoring the real warning signs, ordering people who actually know what they're doing to shut up, and generally playing rope-a-dope with our national security, 9/11 itself might well have been averted. The problem isn't that they don't have enough UNCHECKED power to invade our privacy, it's that they can't be trusted with the power they have seized already.

The last thing we need is all our most personal information in one abusable database, with identity theft already rampant. Would these people ever misuse such power? Not unless they would excommunicate people from their own churches for having the wrong political position. Oops, sorry, that's already taking place right now. Please take a moment to submit the one click form below and demand a national ID debate in the light of day

Natural beauty

When we have souls that enrich our outer lives our inner beauty will create outer beauty. Our inner harmony will well into our lives with waters that are fresh and wholesome. Deep calls unto Deep. The planes of outer activity will have been flooded by the silt that comes coursing in great waves and our projects will flourish. I yearn for a culture of beauty. But just as gardens slowly wither with drought and repeated drought removes all traces of former green, so lives can get patterned by ugliness, the thorns instead of the blossoms, a cactus that never has flowers.

Take sexuality. If a person's sexual life is not nourished by the lush creative, then water is not sprinkled on the valleys and peaks and gradually all withers and dies from lack of appropriate attention. One becomes without sexual vitality and charm.

I seem to have chosen an ugly time in which to live. It is not all ugly, naturally, but I feel the ugliness creeping in like a cancerous darkness with our cities, our roads, our military machines and the creativity that goes into horror films, into violence and the awful corrupting, banality of much of life.

We create what we are or rather how we see ourselves. How we see ourselves into that we become. The shallow has a culture of mediocrity, the plastic decoration and not the gushing fragrance of real aroma.

I give a sad glance into recent history. Turkey's massacre in Armenia (1 million), Hitler, Stalin killing the Ukranians, Pol Pot killing 2 million of his own people, Israel/Palestine, Japan's invasion of and cruelty in China, China doing the same in Tibet, what the Vietnamese call the American war (2.5 million Vietnamese dead, not to mention the living horror of the birth and genetic defects from Agent Orange), North Korea, Saddam Hussein, the Iraq war, Darfur, the suicide bombers, just ugliness spreading ugliness and strangling lives with hopeless absurdity and degenerate priorities.

We have war driven economies. Utne magazine had a reprint from The Humanist called "The Permanent War," which was a devastating and gloomy recognition of how the USA has used war or the threat of war (fear of terrorism) to pump money into the military and military driven industries. Eventually the economy knows no other stimulus, a warfare state.

“I am running out of villains,” quipped Colin Powell (before the Iraq war), ‘I'm down to Castro and Kim11 Sung.” And if Colin Powell felt that imagine what the real hawks felt! Now whenever things get too loose the alert colour can easily be raised.

Money is made from wars and the threat of wars. Money is diverted from flowing into more beautiful channels into channels that make weapons and train violence. How did we come to this? How did we come to accept this? No, even approve it? Where, no matter what Bush did or does he will still remain The Man for most Americans?

Can we no longer recognise ugliness for what it is? A whole country gets ridiculously focused on how Terry Schiavo lives or dies while at the same time billions of dollars get sucked into killing and maiming. What sort of people have we become? And where will it end?

What is spent on war and destruction is not spent on something else. It is as simple as that. If in your family the priority of spending your income is defending yourselves and not enriching your lives with beauty and harmony and grace, then how did you come to make this decision?

If you watch any theatre of the absurd, after a few minutes you accept the parameters and the absurd is seen as normal. After long enough of dragging chains it becomes impossible to imagine something else. In a family of smokers all smoke, one way or another.

If your soul is rich and full then the ugliness of it all is so evident. We need a revolution of beauty; a culture that extols the natural, the serene, the balance that comes when internal conflict has been resolved, so you don't fester it on the world.

There comes a time when it is too late, when the garden has finally withered and there is no longer any hope for what could have been. It gets lost in increments. Gradually it dies, not with a scream but in exhaustion.

If we could creatively reduce our population numbers which drives many of our absurdities of excess and imbalance, if we could vote the violent and greedy out of office, and vote for beautiful souls, if we could have hearts and not just heads of corporations and governments then the sort of thing that happens as seen in this link
could not occur. The why of that is a shriek. Why do people end up doing such cruel things to other people? Because the ugliness inside becomes manifest outside. Step by step we can go one way, step by step we can go another way.

Taoism flows towards the natural. When you are are at peace with yourself then you are not yearning with greed. To be natural is to be relaxed, to be in tune with the waves of creativity that pulse from God's heart. You feel God's in and out breathing.

I don't know what drives your life but if is not that pulse then you might well be one of those that suppurate poisoned ugliness, those toxic personalities that blight life. There are too many of them, just read any newspaper other than the little locals I enjoy. And don't be fooled, the Ugly can dress itself up and look cocky and smile winningly, but only if you have lost the eye for discerning bullshit.

What sort of life do you want for your children and their children and the children all round the world? Answer honestly and then DO something about it.

Many years ago I read of the theory that the earth has had the function of liver to the Universe for a while. That means that all the poisons (by which was intended unevolved, problematic beings) have been sent here for purifying. We got the violent, the cruel, the greedy and maladjusted. The cleansing function was due to end and be given to some other world. At that time all those still in need of re education would be sent to that world and those who were well adjusted would create a Heaven on our earth. Maybe?

It seems to me that anyone can, with discipline find harmony and beauty in their hearts. This is to cultivate beauty and eradicate the ugliness inside. When that happens it is intolerable to see the ugliness outside. But when we are ugly inside we don't notice the contrast. We seek stimulations that are jarring and discordant. Inside we can find that sweet gentle voice of the Eternal that hums with the ever constancy of the Always Spring, nourishing waters that lap on our hearts and when we feel that we can weep for all those moments when we didn't feel That. Then, when we have a choice, we can choose to turn to That for the seduction of the Always I Am. This will be revolution of Beauty. Gradually the Ugly will find no ground inside us for its seeds and our world will have been transformed and the next generation will thank us.

Britain faces big chill as ocean current slows

Jonathan Leake, Science Editor

CLIMATE change researchers have detected the first signs of a slowdown in the Gulf Stream — the mighty ocean current that keeps Britain and Europe from freezing.

They have found that one of the “engines” driving the Gulf Stream — the sinking of supercooled water in the Greenland Sea — has weakened to less than a quarter of its former strength.

The weakening, apparently caused by global warming, could herald big changes in the current over the next few years or decades. Paradoxically, it could lead to Britain and northwestern and Europe undergoing a sharp drop in temperatures.

Such a change has long been predicted by scientists but the new research is among the first to show clear experimental evidence of the phenomenon.

Peter Wadhams, professor of ocean physics at Cambridge University, hitched rides under the Arctic ice cap in Royal Navy submarines and used ships to take measurements across the Greenland Sea.

“Until recently we would find giant ‘chimneys’ in the sea where columns of cold, dense water were sinking from the surface to the seabed 3,000 metres below, but now they have almost disappeared,” he said.

“As the water sank it was replaced by warm water flowing in from the south, which kept the circulation going. If that mechanism is slowing, it will mean less heat reaching Europe.”

Such a change could have a severe impact on Britain, which lies on the same latitude as Siberia and ought to be much colder. The Gulf Stream transports 27,000 times more heat to British shores than all the nation’s power supplies could provide, warming Britain by 5-8C.

Wadhams and his colleagues believe, however, that just such changes could be well under way. They predict that the slowing of the Gulf Stream is likely to be accompanied by other effects, such as the complete summer melting of the Arctic ice cap by as early as 2020 and almost certainly by 2080. This would spell disaster for Arctic wildlife such as the polar bear, which could face extinction.

Wadhams’s submarine journeys took him under the North Polar ice cap, using sonar to survey the ice from underneath. He has measured how the ice has become 46% thinner over the past 20 years. The results from these surveys prompted him to focus on a feature called the Odden ice shelf, which should grow out into the Greenland Sea every winter and recede in summer.

The growth of this shelf should trigger the annual formation of the sinking water columns. As sea water freezes to form the shelf, the ice crystals expel their salt into the surrounding water, making it heavier than the water below.

However, the Odden ice shelf has stopped forming. It last appeared in full in 1997. “In the past we could see nine to 12 giant columns forming under the shelf each year. In our latest cruise, we found only two and they were so weak that the sinking water could not reach the seabed,” said Wadhams, who disclosed the findings at a meeting of the European Geosciences Union in Vienna.

The exact effect of such changes is hard to predict because currents and weather systems take years to respond and because there are two other areas around the north Atlantic where water sinks, helping to maintain circulation. Less is known about how climate change is affecting these.

However, Wadhams suggests the effect could be dramatic. “One of the frightening things in the film The Day After Tomorrow showed how the circulation in the Atlantic Ocean is upset because the sinking of cold water in the north Atlantic suddenly stops,” he said.

“The sinking is stopping, albeit much more slowly than in the film — over years rather than a few days. If it continues, the effect will be to cool the climate of northern Europe.”

One possibility is that Europe will freeze; another is that the slowing of the Gulf Stream may keep Europe cool as global warming heats the rest of the world — but with more extremes of weather.

Close encounters on rise as UFOs seize imagination of Chinese

May 3

BEIJING (AFP) - Meng Zhaoguo, a rural worker from northeast China's Wuchang city, says he was 29 years old when he broke his marital vows for the first and only time -- with a female extraterrestrial of unusually robust build.

"She was three meters (10 feet) tall and had six fingers, but otherwise she looked completely like a human," he says of his close encounter with an alien species. "I told my wife all about it afterwards. She wasn't too angry."

While few Chinese claim to have managed to get quite as intimate with an extraterrestrial as Meng, a growing number of people in the world's most populous nation believe in unidentified flying objects, or UFOs.

Officially registered UFO associations in China have about 50,000 members, but some estimate the actual number of Chinese interested in the subject is probably in the tens of millions.

Sun Shili is one of the most serious enthusiasts, and he knows exactly where he will be the day the extraterrestrials finally make contact with mankind. The 67-year-old retired Beijing professor will be in the 21-member delegation picked by international UFO associations to represent Earth as the first negotiations get underway.

Once a Spanish translator for Mao Zedong during high-level state visits, Sun says language will not be a problem. "We expect to communicate using telepathy," he says.

In a country that has lost its spiritual bearings as Marxism has given way to materialism, the idea of strange worlds light years away offers a last great hope for many.

Richard McNally, a Harvard psychologist, says he recognizes the pattern from research into Westerners who claim to have been abducted by aliens and who characterized the experience as "spiritually deepening."

"Our abductees typically describe themselves as 'spiritual' individuals for whom organized religion provides scant spiritual nourishment, and the Chinese UFO spotters may very well be like our subjects," McNally says.

As Sun, the Spanish translator, sits one sunny spring morning in the Chinese capital, he points at the streets outside and explains how many of the people walking by are probably extraterrestrials in human guise.

They are here to help mankind move human civilization on little by little, he explains.

"It's estimated that 80 percent of new inventions come to people in their dreams," says Sun. "Maybe this is is how the extraterrestrials pass on their knowledge to us."

Extraterrestrials are moving mankind on the path towards perfection, but they can only do so in a very gradual fashion, Sun says.

"They give us wisdom and skills that are just a little bit more advanced than what we have at any given moment," he says.

"If they gave us their full range of knowledge all at once, we wouldn't be able to handle it."

As in most other areas of human endeavor, China is also an emerging force to be reckoned with in UFO research.

In September, the International Chinese UFO Association will hold an international meeting on UFO research in the northern port city of Dalian.

"The fact that this meeting can be held shows that China is gradually becoming a great power in UFO research," says Zhang Jingping, a leading member of the association.

Area 51 Declassified
(...) Area 51 wasn't supposed to be a permanent base. It was built in 1955 for the U-2 spy plane. But when that work was finished, other so-called black projects were sent there, and today it is a multi-billion dollar facility that essentially cannot be duplicated. The people who've worked there over the years are justifiably proud about their work in protecting our national security. But they've never been able to talk about it, not to their spouses, not even to each other. Now, the people who were there, and the secrets they kept for so long, are breaking their silence. Buses with blacked-out windows, cameras that scan for any movement, sensors buried in the dirt, armed choppers that patrol the skies are all ominous signs that warn of deadly force. The secrecy that's long been the trademark of Area 51 is as pronounced today as it's ever been. Whatever is going on inside, no one is going to talk about it. For decades, the government would not admit the existence of Area 51. Its code name disappeared from maps. Employees could not tell their own spouses where they worked. CLIP

Subject: St. Germain: You can change a person through your constant love

At the moment, the Earth is a heaving cauldron of energies that swirl and merge with one another. Some come together through the laws of attraction, while others are in confrontation. As you know, the reality is that the Light will always be able to resist the dark, and with its transmuting power will dissolve it. The negative and positive energies have of necessity lived side by side for eons of time. The emphasis at any given time is to the degree that you have attracted them to yourselves. People of a like kind link together, through the energies that are shared by them and you have pockets of that energy all over the Earth.

The Light is now rapidly growing and flowing into the grids that exist all around the Earth. Conversely, more Light is attracted to the Earth as the vibration increases, allowing the grids to become stronger and permanently grounded. With the expectation of changes for good, and the focus upon the outcome, so the dream begins to manifest until it suddenly becomes a reality upon the Earth. Lightworkers everywhere "feel" the intensity of the energies and are able to direct them and use them in their work. The result is that events fueled by the dark that would have been of a serious nature, have so to say, been watered down and their effect curtailed.

All energies also affect Mother Earth, and it is her response that determines what happens on the surface of the Earth. Areas can be impregnated for eons of time, and you have examples of it where you can feel the peace and tranquility where they are untouched by the negativity. Equally, there are sites where for example battles have been fought, and the negative energies of anger hate and killing still exist. Those people who are sensitive to such energies, feel the unease and disturbance they can cause. All around your Earth are such areas, and continued wars are polluting large expanses of it, such as Iraq. Can you see how as the war itself, or the fear of war is spread further it becomes a potential tinderbox.

In the same way as the rhythms of the Earth are upset by negative energies, so too are you. Both have to release them too by bringing a cleansing about, otherwise it can result in weakening your protective energy fields. For Mother Earth and the life-forms upon her, that can be fatal as she could lose her ability to hold the magnetic energies in place. That could cause an axis tilt, with the result that life upon the surface would be seriously threatened. Translate the same problem into human terms, and you have pending illness and a breakdown in your body's immunity.

It is the unseen energies that link all together, and on a higher level there is a great interplay between them. Energies travel across Universes and are attracted to similar light sources, and on Earth they enter through the various vortexes that connect the grids. Great Masters control these points and some energies are not allowed through them and outside of the Earth because of their negative effect. If you could actually see the energies as we do, you would of course have a greater appreciation of what is taking place.

Because you are feeling and thinking beings, you can work with the energies both for yourself and for others. Healers and Lightworkers do this all of the time, and it is their personal choice to work in this way. They are not necessarily special or different to anyone else, but have applied themselves in a disciplined way that has raised their consciousness. They have also purified their body to make a clear channel for the energies, and so are successful in their work. With application and the Will to do such work anyone can achieve a degree of success, it is a question as to how dedicated you are.

The mere act of praying and sending out loving thoughts is something many individuals do every day. Remember energy follows thought, and with a firm focus on where you want your love to go to, you can achieve much more than you would imagine. Multiply it by hundreds or thousands and you can see how much power can be directed in a positive way to the point of focus. Send love and not hatred and anger to those who upset you by their actions, and realize that is has far more impact. You can change a person through your constant love, so please believe in its value and power to change the course and destiny of the Earth. It does not have to break up into chaos, and a loving focus on your leaders can have the effect of lessening their headlong rush into the abyss of their own making, and into pulling everyone into it.

Dear Ones do not doubt your ability to make a difference through your thoughts and prayers. The dark energies need to be softened and transmuted, and if enough of you had that intent it would occur. Likewise, the vision you have of your future can be brought into manifestation by the power of your thoughts. Right now, there is a wonderful coming together of people with the sole purpose of giving strong energy to bring those long awaited changes into being. You have the power to do it, and much support is being given to you by us.

I am St. Germain, and I am full of praise and admiration for all of you who have taken a step forward and lead from the front. What you do is for all of Humanity and your selfless acts will be well rewarded. The end of the road is in sight, and we all draw nearer to the end of duality and its challenge. A great assembly of Light Beings are waiting to shower you with their love and blessings, and they urge you on through those final steps. You are victorious, and none shall take this victory away from you. I leave you with my Love embracing you all.

Thank you St. Germain.
