"When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace."

- Jimi Hendrix

"When you understand that you will not invite into your life experience that which you do not give thought to, and that the emotion that is within you will signal you about the direction of your thought, then you will know that another cannot create in your life experience, and once that is understood, your fear of what they might do in your experience is eliminated. When you understand that you have the ability to bring into your experience -- or to keep away from your experience -- anything that you choose, then you are not so threatened by what others who are around you are choosing."

"There are two kinds of mystics in the world, the optimystics and the pessimystics. Although pessimystics seem to be more in touch with "reality", optimystics are happier and live longer. It's the pessimystics who've been crying, "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!" The optimystics simply smile and say, "No. It only looks that way because we are ascending."

A COUPLE COMMENTS RECEIVED ON THE RECENT Light Series #41: Showering Light, Aiming for the Stars archived at

From: "Karen Kirschbaum" <>
Subject: The Handbook For the New Paradigm
Date: Fri, 20 Dec 2002

Dear Jean,

I really liked your remarks on focusing on "Being" over focusing on "Doing." In the Handbook, we are told that the "Opposition" is counting on our resistance. What they don't know how to counter is Love, Peace and the creation of the New Paradigm.

Keep up the GREAT work!

Karen Kirschbaum

NOTE from Jean: If you want to read the Handbook For the New Paradigm to which Karen refers above, it is available on the Net since October 21, 1999, from -- Here is a brief quote from its introduction: "The “Handbook for the New Paradigm” is composed of several volumes of messages telepathically received from an advanced Ultra-Dimensional race. (...)The material is intended to lift mankind from the entrapment of the victim consciousness that keeps the level of human experience ensnared in fear and frustration."

Dear Jean,

First of, thank you again for the great job you're doing. When I saw your list with all the people coming from everywhere in the world, I got a wonderful feeling. I felt real, pure joy! I think that what we are altogether experimenting right now through the Earth Rainbow Network is just a "prelude" of the beautiful life awaiting each of us! If we can do this with 2,500 people who don't even know each other, we can do it with the whole world, even with the Universe. I also wanted to ask you to focus more than ever on the love process. It's crucial to know that evil forces, or name them like you want, are in action. But if there is one thing that the history of mankind has taught us, it is that the only way to reverse evil is love. All this people who are pointed as 'responsible' for what happens right now in the world need only one thing to change their mind : our love. It is our responsibility to let them know we disagree, but it is not necessary to accuse them of things we are all part of it. They just represent a part of ourselves we don't like, and it is much more easier to ask them to change, than to accept our own dark side and transform it in light and love. We all have to be aware of this single, simple fact : they could NEVER do what they are doing if we didn't accept it. They are just doing, on a higher scale, what we are doing in our personal live, which is actually a great chance for all of us. It means that if we change, they will change. They cannot do anything else than follow us. So please, insist on the fact that the only solution is and remain love. I join a letter I sent to President Bush. This letter represents my greetings for the coming year. I feel that, by sending it to you through the Net and therefore to all the people connected to this peace network, it will give it more sense, more healing power and much more love. Thanks for all and may 2003 be the year where, all what we have prepared for months and years, will eventually be materialized.

Love and peace,

Dear Mister President Bush,

I'm sending you this letter to tell you that I trust you, from the beginning until the end! I can
imagine that right now, you're handling a difficult case, maybe the most difficult of your entire
life. I want you to know that you have all my support in this crucial task. I can imagine that
pressure is high, that a lot of people around you are trying to use your power not for the
interest of the United States and the world, but for their own. How painful it must be! But you're not alone. Millions of people in the United States and all around the world are supporting you,
every day, in their thoughts and their prayers. Of course, it sounds sometimes like if they were
opposed to you, making you responsible for all the evil on earth. But if you read between the
lines, they are encouraging you! We are all encouraging you to make the good choice, the best
choice, the one and only choice: peace. You've got it in your hands. It just asks to be used.

During the last century, your country struggled many times all around the world to install peace
processes where wars were the daily routine of millions of people. Two times, the United States
choose to sacrificed her own children to free the world from the evil. This is the way your
country and your fellow citizens are: peacemakers, not warmakers. Today, you're facing a crucial
issue and you must feel alone, misunderstood, and for sure, feeling fear making its nest in your
heart. You don't deserve it. So, say no. Just no. And remember the values that were flowing in the
blood of the Founding Fathers. These values are flowing in your heart too. These are the only one
to be listening to.

Basically, if you look just a little bit further, today is your lucky day! You are in a position
to realize something no President realized before you: lead the world to peace. Doesn't that sound
great! It's astonishing to see how a dead-end route might, at a closer look, be the starting point
of an outstanding contribution to humanity! And you are one of those who have been chosen to
accomplish this miracle! So, imagine just a few seconds what would happen if you decided to use
all the people and the money involved in the war process in a peace process? Imagine the
consequences! Wouldn't that be a dream coming true for you and all the earth citizens? Yes, it
will! You've got all you need to accomplish it: workforce, money, power, international recognition
and most of all, this unique, matchless force that characterizes every American people: the
confidence that if you try it, the chances to succeed are much more higher than the chances to
fail. The "American dream" is not dead. It is still alive in the heart of millions of people all
around the world. Show the world we are right to believe in it. Show the world that what makes the
difference between good and evil, between great and mean people, is the ability to change lanes
when it occurs that the path is no longer leading you to your higher self. There is no shame in
that, but in contrary, a lot of courage, love, and peace for yourself and the others!

Mister President, I wish with all my heart that you will be remembered as a man who lead the
world to peace, and not as a man who conducted it to destruction. It's in your hands, it's heavy,
and it hurts. So please, let it down and accept to be a catalyst for the only values worth to
fight for: love and peace.

And if there is anything I can do, just tell me! I have thousands of ideas to install peace. So if
you need me, I'm ready to jump in the first plane and come to help you!

I wish you and all your family a merry Christmas and a very, very happy new year!

Subject: Washington Mobilizes For War

Beloved Friends,

Some important information has come my way through sources in Washington, DC that you'll want to know about. This convinces me how vitally important it is that we mobilize as a Spiritual Force of Peace as soon as we can, otherwise the tide will continue to turn toward disaster. As most of you already know, the Spoonbenders Course (which begins January 1) is designed to teach thousands of people an ancient technology that has the power to shift the prevailing energies of war toward peace and compassion. This is what we need more than anything, especially in light of the information I'll share with you now.

Sources in Washington (very high and well informed sources) have told me that the Bush Administration has no real interest in the results of the UN inspections taking place in Iraq. They are waiting for any excuse they can find to initiate a war, and if one is not provided then the next step may be to allow another catastrophe to take place, forcing the confrontation. In other words, another terrorists attack may be allowed, or even staged. As terrible as this sounds it would serve the administration's need and push us to the brink of a possible world war. Most people in Washington feel that the timeframe for the war is late February or early March. That is why it is so important that we mobilize a spiritual alternative NOW!

We have sixty-thousand people currently receiving the Spiritual Warrior correspondence. If everyone on that list participated in the Spoonbenders Course and the Great Experiment III on February 9, then we would be a formidable energetic force. I am going to ask that each one of you get one more person to join us, raising the number well over 100,000. I believe that this is the number that we will need to shift things on the level we need.

I hope you feel the urgency of this request. Many of our ancient cultures said we would need to make an important choice at this time in history, and I believe this is it. The sides are being drawn, and each one of us must choose. Are we going to promote peace and compassion, or continue to think that conflict is the path? Please join us in solving these problems with prayer and spirit-led action.

The Spoonbenders Course: In this four week Internet course (by donation) you will learn how to bend a spoon with your mind, and then apply that same technology to healing the world. Our goal is to have 100,000 people actively practicing this technique on February 9 while I am in Jerusalem with around 100 other Spiritual Warriors.

If you are already on our list, you will receive registration info January 1. If you are not currently on our e-mail list please send an e-mail to and put the word "list" in the subject box.

In Peace,

James Twyman

Subject: Things To Do

Hi Jean,

This is Greg O'Neill with the startup venture, White Tiger Organic Farm & Techno EcoVillage. For a long time I've struggled to find the ways and means to realize my dream of building my farm and village on Hawai'i. Recently I'm seeing real progress. One friend, Enrique Diaz, is presenting my project to an Irish investor on his trip to Mexico next month.

A new friend, Bob Cinque, is taking my plan to his close friend, Gene Kahn, CEO of Cascadian Farms Organic Foods, and President of Small Planet Foods --, both divisions of General Mills, possibly the world's largest food company.

Bob is really excited by my project, and his enthusiasm will impress Gene. He's wealthy enough to invest in my project himself, but he may take it to General Mills.

Enrique is doing other things to spread my ideas to a global audience. He's getting with his friend, Teri, and taking a joint proposal to an international organization, one that supports projects in third world countries.

Jean, imagine this real potential, taking Plant Tissue Culture/Micropropagation methods, Perma- culture Design & Layout, Biodiversity in Farming, and Free Energy Systems -- -- to third world countries, along with Cob construction -- -- methods, which now enjoy a renaissance in Europe. We will bring development of astounding proportions to the so-called 'undeveloped' nations, bringing them freedom from OIL and nuclear power-based tyranny of the globalists, and bringing them forward to serve as models for the 'developed' nations to follow.

I have access to systems to purify seawater inexpensively --, perform Tissue Culture at home -- for farmers to use in different countries, build sturdy, inexpensive homes of Cob, lumps of earth and straw --, and to build Free Energy systems --http://www. -- to help many nations go offgrid, and attain self-sufficiency and sovereignty.

The ERN list members want to know what they can do to improve our living world, they can ask me anytime. My passion is to actually get into the physical world, and provide useful keys to unlock the problems we collectively face in making positive, Life-enhancing changes.

Dr. Tom Bearden -- -- recently posted his free gift of technology to remediate nuclear and biowarfare materials, rendering them harmless to all Life. His astounding gift of a technology that governments must adopt and share widely with each other now, to heal our living world, should be heralded far and wide NOW.

Yes, meditating for global Peace is a wonderful effort, but actually doing something now to promote Peace by getting rid of the reasons for global conflict makes a great deal of sense to me.

Jean, since we both ache for world Peace, and promoting the means to bring People together in that common cause, I felt you would appreciate knowing what I'm doing now.

May this coming year bring us all World Peace, and a final end to conflict, and violence in all forms. It is time to give Peace a chance.

Subject: Dennis Kucinich for President
Date: Thu, 19 Dec 2002

We need a candidate for president who can boldly put out a sensible yet radically different program from that of the Bush administration. It has to include a total change of direction in foreign policy, with an emphasis on multilateralism, disarmament, and strengthening the rule of law internationally through treaties and courts. Domestically, it has to emphasize getting off the oil economy and switching to sustainable, nonpolluting energy sources, with emphasis on conservation of resources and recycling of waste material.

This means going up against the powers that sustain the Bush program, namely the big corporate funders in the military, nuclear and oil industries. I don't think any of the Democrats currently viying for the presidential nomination are willing to be this radical.

I believe we need to find someone willing and able to do this, in order to place our program on the national agenda. Dennis Kucinich, Democratic Congressman from Ohio and leader of the Progressive Caucus, is eloquent, charismatic, willing to take political risks. So far, he has gotten away with it.

Subject: Do you have the true spirit of Christmas within you?

Listen up

There is a man called Brian, and he is camped out on the central island in Parliament Square, on the side facing the Commons. He has been demonstrating there 24 hours a day for 18 months now, through some of the coldes, wettest, windyest weather that we have seen in 50 years. It's nothing short of heroic. Lesser men would have fled long ago, but Brian is tough. He's an ex-marine and has seen his fair share of war, and because of this he has chosen to campaign for peace, and says he will remain there "for as long as it takes" to get Blair & co. to listen.

He endures regular abuse from American tourists; they are in abundance to see the Houses of Parliament, who just perceive his display as anti-Bush and therefore pro-terrorist! He is not allowed to block the pavement to any degree, or to camp on the grass behind him, so his home is the little wall that separates the two. He occasionally get visits from others who will come and sit there in solidarity but most people are too busy to even stop to read the display, let alone support his effort. Recently when I visited, there were a group of Buddhist monks who were there chanting each day and fasting too, in bitterly cold weather, to protest against the war plans. I'm not asking for that, but if you have any of the true spirit of Christmas in you, compassion, love, generosity, appreciation, brother/sisterhood, goodwill, etc, then could you please send him a card? It's a small gesture, but it would mean a lot to him to know that there are those of us out here who appreciate his efforts even if we don't have his courage and commitment. The Westminster Council recently took him to court to try and evict him, but failed. It is reassuring to know that we still have the right to peaceful protest and the freedom of speech, but it takes people like Brian to test that we still do. He deserves our support for myriad reasons.

Take a moment off from the commercial hamster wheel, and do something that really means something. Send just one card to one man who cares more about humanity than probably anyone we'll ever meet.

It could be a cold, lonely Christmas, without you...

In The Global Brain Awakens Peter Russell shows that humanity has reached a crossroads in its evolutionary path. Computers, satellites, fiber optics, video recorders and other technology, are the catalysts linking our planet into one, worldwide community - a "global brain". This technology, combined with a the rapidly growing human potential movement, is helping to create a collective consciousness that is humanity's only hope of saving it from itself. However, Russell warns if we continue on our current path of greed and destruction, humanity will serve only as a planetary cancer.

Selling more than 100,000 copies and translated into ten languages, his seminal work, The Global Brain, won acclaim from forward thinkers worldwide. It was regarded by many as years ahead of its time, and its original predictions about the impact of computer networks and changing social values have since been realized.

Peter Russell, who holds advanced degrees in theoretical physics, experimental psychology and computer science, makes no apologies for presenting what may seem like a Utopian theory. He advises, "The image a society has of itself can play a crucial role in the shaping of its future. A positive vision is like the light at the end of the tunnel, which, even though dimly glimpsed, encourages us to step in that direction".

"A fascinating vision of how the information revolution is shifting consciousness. A much needed, optimistic perspective on humanity's future."

The Declaration of "All-Out Peace"

Swami Beyondananda, spiritual leader to millions of FUNdamentalists (accent on "fun") has launched a worldwide "blisskrieg" in a declaration of "all out peace!"

"We've been holding our peace for far too long. It's time to let it out!

Why should peacekeepers keep the peace for themselves when the world needs it so goodly nowadays?"

The Swami was interrupted numerous times by gleeful supporters shouting the peace mantra, "Ah .. peace on it!" and waving banners reading "Our World, Love It Or Leave It!" "Play For Nonjudgment Day" and "Disarmaggedon Is Near!"

"It's a fight to the life!" Swami told his minions, vowing to open the floodgates of love, light and laughter to cleanse the body politic of cultural, economic and political toxins that have caused folks to "take things poisonally" -- and perpetuate war.

"These are challenging times," said the Swami, "which call for Emerge-n-See measures. It is time for us to emerge from our fearful and powerless hiding places and see the big picture. We have met the Savior and He is Us.

I see all these Children of God praying for Jesus to intervene, but we cannot expect to be fed intervenously forever. Time for Children of God to grow up, for Christ's sake, and become Adults of God for a change.

Playful adults, that is."

"Because the key to lasting peace is laughter," he told the crowd. "Do you know what the leading cause of war and terrorism is? I will tell you. It is seriousness. Seriousness is the most serious problem we face on the planet today. I'm serious. Think about it. Every terrorist act -- not to mention terror itself -- begins with seriousness. Everywhere we look, we are faced with laugh-threatening seriousness." The Swami called on his supporters to "report any serious behavior to the Department of Omland Security."

"Levity, on the other hand, helps us rise above whatever's been bringing us down," the Swami continued. "Did you know that one Youngman of laughter -- approximately the mirth contained in the average one-liner -- can release up to a megahurt of emotional pain?"

Finally, the Swami outlined his plan for conducting the Blisskrieg and waging all out peace. "It is very simple indeed. While it makes no sense to take up arms against warfare, it makes all the sense in the world to lift up arms and embrace anything that nourishes peace."

Whereupon Swami offered the following 5-point plan to spark outbreaks of peace all across the planet:

1. Create A Department of Emerge-n-See Planning Now.

If war is a necessary evil, why not seek peace as a necessary good? We should be putting at least as much energy and money into secretly plotting peace -- sneaking food and clothing into war-torn nations under the cover of darkness, sending tanks to drought-stricken areas so that they can capture rainwater, sending in comedy troops in an all-out amfunniest assault -- and an even more controversial measure, dropping canisters of laughing gas on persistent pockets of seriousness.

2. Enlist the World Religions to Do Something Useful. Prayer works.

According to Dr. Larry Dossey and others who have studied the healing power of prayer, surgery patients who were prayed for tended to heal more quickly. Not only that, but if the people who were doing the praying were also prayed for, results were even better! And it worked regardless of the language or religion they were praying in. Instead of engaging in that childish and destructive game, "My dogma's better than your dogma,"

the major religions would do better to organize a worldwide prayer calm-petition -- it could be called the God Will Games -- and donate the proceeds to ending spiritual hunger on the planet. Regardless of who wins the pray-offs, everyone will benefit.

3. Support the Alter-Native Economy.

If we're going to aggressively wage peace, we want to spend more of our wages peacefully. So support the alter native economy -- whatever alters the natives for the better. Our lives are by products of what we buy. So if you want to counteract the profits of doom, only buy products with healthful and helpful byproducts.

And consider trading in your old Dodge for an Evolvo and running your karma on esteem.

Rising esteem can actually improve the overall atmosphere by causing the heart to warm, and the head to cool. This may be the answer to global warming!

4. Support the Peace Effort on the Om Front.

We've heard the experts say nothing will bring peace, so I say let's prove 'em right. Our lives are so filled up with somethings that we have no room for nothing anymore! That's why my ultimate meditation tape, Sounds of Silence, is completely blank. Think about it. Our minds are filled up with information everywhere we go.

After a busy day thinking of everything, what a welcome relief it is to think of nothing.

So as part of my work on behalf of inner peace, you can now come to my Om Page and download as much healing silence as you need -absolutely free! And you can do your part for world inner peace by sending some peaceful silence to a friend.

Sure this is a peacemeal approach, but it works. A little peace here, a little peace there, and pretty soon you have one big peaceful meal everywhere. Make love not war, get a piece tonight!

5. Spread Contagious Laughter Wherever You Go.

If we truly want to bring about Nonjudgment Day, we need to do whatever we can to increase the laugh force on the planet. Take the funniest jokes from the internet, and share them on the outernet. Commit random acts of harmless comedy.

Practice Fun-Shui by creating playful beauty everywhere. Make sure you spend some time each week laughing with friends and loved ones. Remember that when it comes to laughter, the more the merrier. And remember too, what goes around comes around. In other words, the laugh you save may be your own.

6. Stop making holes in the Holy Land! Can't we all just get along?

What’s this "my hummus is better than your hummus" BS? For crying out loud, we're all human beans for God sakes. The same with the "my missle is bigger than your missle" nonsense. I mean really, who gives a pita?

It’s a scientific fact that putting holes in your space suit takes all the fun out of life. If you want to argue about it, do it on the moon or somewhere else. After all, we all come from the same factory! Now go out and have some fun!

We do not remember days, we remember moments.

In their book Spiritual Literacy (Touchstone Books, 1998), authors Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat tell about Oggie Rand. He manages a cigar store in Brooklyn. Oggie has an unusual habit - at precisely eight o'clock each morning, he photographs the front of the store from exactly the same spot. He collects his daily snapshots in photograph albums, each labeled by date. He calls his project his "life's work."

One day Oggie showed his albums to a friend. Flipping the pages of the albums, the man noticed in amazement that the pictures were all the same! Oggie watched him skim through the pictures and finally replied, "You'll never get it if you don't slow down, my friend. The pictures are all of the same spot, but each one is different from every other one. The differences are in the detail. In the way people's clothes change according to season and weather. In the way the light hits the street. Some days the corner is almost empty. Other times it is filled with people, bikes, cars and trucks. It's just one little part of the world, but things take place there, too, just like everywhere else."

This time Oggie's friend looked more carefully at each picture. No two were alike. He slowly became aware of how unique every moment is. Through a series of photographs, he became conscious of one of life's great truths -- that each minute that passes is special, even sacred!

Writer Henry Miller has said, "The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself." But we'll never get it if we don't slow down. For it is these moments -- not whole days, weeks, months or years -- that we will finally remember. Whatever happiness and joy is to be found in life will be found in the moments.
